Saturn squares

Squares is you’re probably aware of them, everyone makes you aware of them or you just ARE. You’re already dealing with them. Sometimes it’s just a certain concept or theme that is present in your life. I have some themes with boundaries in relationships (Saturn ruled Saturn square everything in Libra). Boundaries are kind of my bag but I thought of myself as someone with poor boundaries until I started getting feedback from others (Libra lol) that I had a good sense of boundaries. I’m aware of them, I talk about them, if I hear a story or someone is telling me about an issue they’re having, I’m likely to spot the theme of boundaries. I also feel very alienated when my hard boundaries are violated. In this example, boundaries aren’t “easy” for me and I may never stop working through that but it’s not the kind of energy that arises when one is oblivious to something about themselves that clashes with their environment. Some natal squares to Saturn give us natural talents and inclinations because we naturally have to deal with both the harmonious and incongruent concepts introduced by the square.

I’m a fan of Saturn. Saturn can be a lot about how you characterize it. If you think of Saturn as providing a service to you instead of there to terrorize, things can get easier and start to make more sense. Saturn is not looking around trying to figure out how to fuck up your day. Saturn is not egging us on with false praise or promises only for us to get embarrassed or disappointed later. Saturn sees us for our strengths and our weaknesses and our potential. If you fight against Saturn, there’s a good chance something is going to hurt. If you fight with/alongside Saturn, you can kick some ass. Saturn makes a much better friend than an enemy. Sometimes I think Saturn gets blamed for things that just ARE because Saturn is the most equipped to recognize and deal with things that JUST ARE. Saturn is trying to show us what is and give us the tools needed to deal with something that isn’t working or needs to be brought into fruition. Saturn points out the flaws and the risks.

Saturn sees a building with a crumbling foundation and has the competency to see it for what it is and what can be done. Saturn will repair or systemically take apart structures with with shaky foundations and build new ones that better fit the needs of the community they’re in. On the one hand, Saturn may say “the foundation isn’t strong, it needs to be fixed, it’s going to be expensive but it has to be done”. And it’ll be like “oh Saturn, such a jerk”. What’s the alternative? Be chill and just ignore it and let the building crumble while unsuspecting people are in it? What if the building does collapse? I don’t think that’s Saturn causing the building to fall. Saturn isn’t the cracks, the foundation itself, or gravity. Saturn’s role is to deal with what is and will be there to help coordinate the rescue, recovery, and rebuilding regardless.




I've noticed a LOT of musicians have Neptune square Saturn and Mercury square Saturn and Venus square Saturn.

That's the good old "giving structure and form" function of Saturn, plus mastery. Squares push and motivate to act and make real what is indicated by them. This is not without pain and disappointments, but that's part of the push.
