21: A relay race
Parallel lines that never meet...

All 21st degree symbols deal with a core theme: 'line'or 'demarcation'

In a relay race, there are lanes demarcated for contestants to race within. Inside a single lane, team mates must negotiate a hand-off of some kind, such as passing the baton.

Symbolically, 'passing the baton' suggests passing an instrument of power and control to someone else. Likewise in Aries 21 It is 'stepping up to the plate'...fighting for every inch of the ring'..gaining territory...on the front foot.

"A Pugilist entering the Ring" 21 Aries

Theme: Taking one's space

Inspiration: Stepping into the ring has two distinct characteristics: coming into your own; having to fight for every inch.

Today: Stepping into the ring carries a core meaning of having to toe the line. Today, however, it presses more into the theme of coming into your own.

Consider difficulties finding your place in the world, in a social milieu or professional field. If you approach this with intense seriousness, or a vain assumption of entitlement, you may encounter fierce resistance.

Think of it as having overstepped your estimation of self worth. On the other hand, a quiet entrance works well for eventually coming into the space, the position, that is just right for you at this time. Listen. It is crowded out there. Space is won not by a bludgeoning sense of pride. Ring the bell softly… then others will hold the ropes open for you.

Aries 21. A woman drying flowers and carefully preserving their colors. (Omega Symbol) Interacting/Experimental

(Degree Angel: NELCHAEL (NEL-ka-EL) Eradicate Plague, Ardent Desire to Learn)

You hold on to all that is beautiful in life. Your stamina and high-mindedness help you to survive in even the most difficult of situations. You are intent on magnifying the good and looking beyond the discord and negativity of life. Your very essence is an encouragement to others,- *HARRY!!!* - for it lights the way through difficult times.

The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “Pastel flags fluttering in the breeze.” Both symbols pertain to uplifting the soul, the wind carrying the prayers and blessings of the flags to those who need hope, and the woman PRESERVING the memory of the flowers so that we may remember there are MORE flowers to come, new cycles of life to arise.

Fulfillment degree: Sagittarius 2. Waking at night, a man sees a firefly in the darkness of his bedroom. (Omega Symbol). Working to hold on to what is beautiful, we come into a greater appreciation of the ephemeral.

Many iris blooming in a wide variety of colors. (Chandra Symbol). The joys of the mind substantiate into the beautiful manifestations of our creativity.

Oracle

In past lives she had been skilled in the art of mummification. Mummifying flowers was much more difficult, for colors preferred to inhabit living flesh, rather than a lifeless tomb. She performed her work by talking to the colors – by telling them of future eyes to which they would bring joy, and future imaginations, which they would brighten. For the sake of joy and imagination, the colors decided to stay, at least for awhile.
