TALOS
Symbolism and Interpretation:
Guardian Energy: Talos’s role as a guardian aligns with themes of protection, vigilance, and defending boundaries.
Vigilant Defense: In an astrological context, Talos may symbolize our need to protect ourselves, our boundaries, and our inner sanctuaries.
Automaton and Precision: Talos’s mechanical nature suggests a focus on precision, duty, and mechanical efficiency.
Vulnerability and Boundaries: Consider how Talos’s presence in your birth chart relates to your sense of vulnerability and the boundaries you set.

Talos serves as a reminder to protect what matters most and to be vigilant in safeguarding our inner world.
In summary, Talos invites us to be both guardians and gatekeepers, defending our inner sanctuaries and maintaining our boundaries.
Its influence may be subtle but can offer valuable insights into our protective instincts.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

The asteroid Hephaestus will signal forgiveness, craft, cunning and skill in your natal chart. It is the place where you blaze a trail and rise to create your destiny – despite rejection – despite emotional and physical difficulties. It is where your life is forged, hammered and remade.

Hanuman is the son of Anjana and Kesari and is also considered as the son of the wind-god Vayu, who according to several stories, played a role in his birth.

His mother Anjana was an apsara (celestial nymph) who was born on earth as a female monkey due to a curse. The curse only lifted only after giving birth to Hanuman, who was born with a monkey’s face.

Birth and Childhood

A young Hanuman leaping to catch the sun
As a child, Hanuman was extremely mischievous and possessed supernatural powers, thanks to his divine origins.

One famous story from his childhood includes when he mistook the sun for a ripe fruit and leapt to catch it. Indra, the king of the gods, struck him with his thunderbolt, injuring his jaw (hanu in Sanskrit), which led to his name, Hanuman.

Role in the Ramayana
Hanuman's most notable exploits are documented in the Ramayana, where he plays a major role in helping Rama (the prince of Ayodhya, and a Vishnu Avatar) in his quest to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana, who had abducted her.

Key episodes involving Hanuman include:

The Search for Sita: Hanuman leaps across the ocean to Lanka (modern-day Sri Lanka) where Sita was held captive. There, he encounters Sita, reassures her, and offers to carry her back. However, Sita refuses, preferring to have Rama come and rescue her, to uphold her honor and his.

Burning Lanka: After meeting Sita, Hanuman allows himself to be captured by Ravana's forces. His tail is set on fire, but he uses this to his advantage to escape and set Lanka ablaze. He then returns to Rama with the news of Sita's location.

The Battle in Lanka: During the great battle between Rama and Ravana, Hanuman plays a crucial role, using his powers to help Rama's army. In one significant act, when Lakshmana (Rama's brother) is critically injured, Hanuman flies to the Himalayas to fetch a life-saving herb. When he cannot identify the specific herb, he brings the entire mountain back to the battlefield.

Powers and Attributes

Hanuman is known for his strength, speed, agility, and his ability to transform into giant forms or shrink to the size of a small insect.

He is also a devout practitioner of Dharma (cosmic law and order) and a celibate with the powers of immortality.

You’ll often find his image in taxi cabs in India as a protective talisman of strength.

Legacy

Hanuman with a mace
Hanuman is a symbol of devotion and loyalty. His images and idols often depict him as a muscly man with the face of a monkey, typically with a mace and a mountain in his hands, symbolizing his strength and exploits during the Ramayana.

In Jyotish (Vedic astrology), Hanuman is associated with Mars and Saturn.
TRANSITS -

When the dwarf planet Haumea transits your ascendant, it can bring about significant changes and experiences in your life. Here's what you might expect:

New Beginnings: Haumea's transit can symbolize a period of new beginnings, especially in how you present yourself to the world and your approach to life.

Transformation: This transit may bring transformative energy, encouraging you to reinvent yourself and break free from old patterns.

Energizing Influence: Haumea's influence can bring vitality and energy, inspiring you to pursue your goals with renewed passion.

Creativity and Innovation: You may feel a surge in creativity and a desire to explore new and unconventional ideas during this transit.

Changes in Relationships: Your relationships, particularly those with close family members and partners, may undergo changes or require a fresh perspective.

Mars' station is part of a Grand Cross of energies including opposition to Pluto (death, transformation), and squares to dwarf planet Haumea (destruction) and asteroid Washingtonia (for DC, indicating the US' pivotal role in any global conflicts).

EOS on ASC with Haumea

In transit, activation of Eos can signal a literal ‘new dawn’. You can find that light begins to shine where there was only darkness, you discover information or feel revitalised after a tough spell. This one could also indicate a time when you feel an increased desire to improve the physical, so it could be another transit consideration when planning new diet and exercise regimes.

The sexual component of this influence cannot be ignored as Eos was symbolic for passionate trysts, but was perhaps one of the least ‘maternal’ types. Activated by transit, Eos can symbolize a renewed passionate spark, a secret love tryst, a sexual based only relationship, or a fling with someone from a much younger generation.

hus Eos, preceded by the Morning Star, is seen as the genetrix of all the stars and planets; her tears are considered to have created the morning dew, personified as Ersaor Herse.{Ovid, Metamorphoses 13.621-2} Eos is the daughter of Hyperion, a bringer of light, the One Above, Who Travels High Above the Earth and of Theia, The Divine. Her brother was the Sun god Helios, and her sister was Selene, the Moon goddess. Her team of horses pull her chariot across the sky and are named in the Odyssey as Firebright and Daybright.

She was the Mother of several notable offspring, including the Winds, Zephyrus, Boreas, and Notus, and the Morning Star, Eosphoros, all of whom she bore to the Titan Astraeus ("of the Stars"), and Memnon, her son by Tithonus.

This rosy-fingered, saffron-robed and golden-throned goddess, who goes up to Olympus to announce the light to the immortals, fell in love several times, and some say it was Aphrodite who cursed her to be perpetually in love, because once had Eos lain with Aphrodite's sweetheart Ares, god of war."

Beginnings; eternal state of love and hopefulness... What else?

One website noted i found noted her tendency to fall in love with younger people, and suggested in astrology she would be notable for that. I find that somewhat picking at details of one mythological telling, when there's so much to consider with an entity like Eos... although it's interesting that one person named Dawn who i know is in a relationship with a man two decades her junior.

All things young, I would think, and fresh and new will be powerfully felt where this asteroid comes into play in our charts.

ECHO CONJUNCT N.NODE

The tale of Narcissus and Echo is not a love story. She was so muted by unrequited adoration for a raging egomaniac that she lost her voice. She could only reverberate that of others, hence the name: Echo

Echo lost her voice. In modern times, we would say that she doesn’t express her opinion until she scans the room to see if it is acceptable. She has been like this since she was a child. She had a voice once, as most children do. Now, she is a shell. She blends into her surroundings like the girls at the party who are all dressed the same.

The modern day Echo would say the right things. She may be in pearls and a sweater set. She may be tattooed. It doesn’t matter the externals. Echo is internal. One’s voice can be lost on the back of a motorcycle or in the backseat of a Rolls.

The modern day Echo would probably go to a shrink and tell him that she felt empty. She has tried all the men, the possessions the highs. They left her bland and lifeless.. The shrink would, probably, give her a drug. He would call it depression. However, it is not depression. It is voicelessness. No drugs will cure it. Finding one’s true voice is the answer.

A prominent Echo would be conjunct the ASC, Moon or Sun. Secondly, a prominent Echo would be conjunct Mercury, Mars,Venus, Saturn, Jupiter or the North Node. If you have a prominent Echo, her story will touch you. That is how you know.

Echo’s paired asteroid is Narcissus. I have not watched the synastries to see if these attract each other in the manner of Nessus and Dejanira. It seems as though they might. I have seen the Echo/Narcissus theme in parent/child synastry, though, with disasterous consequences.

Echo should learn to sing. Singing means to throw out one’s soul and make it naked for all to see. If one does not do this, one’s song will be bland like white rice cooked too long until it becomes mush.

Echo needs to find someone to teach her to sing. This needs to be someone she trusts because her attempts will be hard and embarrassing. However, love cures most everything. Echo’s voice is no exception.

When she can sing, she will find that she had a voice and it was her own. That will be a shining moment for her and the day she will no longer be Echo.

ORPHEUS

Astrologically, Orpheus represents musical aptitude, prophetic skill, the ability to persuade or entreat others successfully, and contact with the dead or dying. Grief is a common theme for those with a strongly-placed Orpheus, both grief for those lost to death, but also for lost circumstances, or the elusive “what might have been”, the situations which never fully developed due to countervailing conditions or lack of focus in gaining them.
