Gonggong’s namesake was Himself a Water Dragon, who unleashed a distructive global flood, and tilted the Earth, creating the Precession of the Equinoxes and our dozen ±2,000-year Ages. And Gonggong and Nessus are of course in Pisces, a Water Sign. The other Dragon planet that we use, Zhulong, the Red Dragon of Enlightenment, is also in a Water Sign, Scorpio.

Intrusive Memories (Gonggong)

Truth of the Mind (Veritas),

and Confusion Neptune

Orcus is about Pattern-Making and Pattern-Breaking, namely, Creating and Letting Go of Karma. So we’re Expected to Actively Let Go of any Attachment we have to Self-Sabotaging Habits. The subscript is that Anger may be involved in our Held Emotions, and that there may be Resistance to Letting Go of our Anger, especially if we’ve heavily Invested our Ego into being Victims of our Pet Peeves.

Orcus was the Enforcer of Oaths in pre-Roman days in what is now Italy, and his methods were gruesome, as most of the Oaths he Enforced were involved Commitment to Armies.

Moira (Fate and Choice)

Nessus, suggesting we’ll be working with Multi-Lifetime Abuse material.

Nessus (Abuse and Privilege)

Mars of course is the planet/God of War – we Endured His Dance with Pluto last month, when more people I know Experienced Injury than didn’t.

Mars’s Sister is the Goddess of War and Wisdom, Pallas Athena. Mars Shoots first and Asks Questions later if anyone Survives. Remind you of anyone?

Pallas on the other hand Asks Questions first, then Shoots only when necessary. Asteroid Pallas was Stationary in 26 Aquarius on 8 June, which would have Dominated our Experience of the Ambient Energy in the week prior – symbolizing Changes to our Boundaries! Chances are, we were up against Childhood and/or Karmic Trauma that established those Boundaries. Once you broke through that Wall, you likely Felt Liberated.

The Primary function of our Ego, is to Protect our Vulnerabilities, including setting Boundaries that Minimize Repetition of our Historical Trauma. On the 6th, asteroid Requiem (astronomically a “Centaur” like Chiron) Returned In-Bounds after being Out of Bounds (Stronger than usual) since last July. When any planet crosses a “Tropic” of Cancer or Capricorn, it Stands Out because it’s Energy becomes more or less Prominent in the Ambient Cocktail. Requiem is about Respect for Death, and as the asteroid applies to us, it’s about Respect for Ego Transformation. Often it Feels like We’re Dying when an Important part of our Protective Ego Relaxes, as we could be Exposing ourself to Repetitions of our Historical Trauma.

Urania is the Goddess of Astronomy / Astrology, she is also associated with universal love and the holy spirit. When we look at a natal chart all these aspects come into play we seek the spirit’s guidance to enable us to read the symbolic meaning in a spirit of love and understanding. Urania in our natal chart shows how we best develop that spirit in relationship to astrology. Urania seeks to guide us in appropriate use of our strengths and talents, for the benefit of all. Many people think it is Uranus that is associated with homosexuality – Uranian in this sense means from Urania – Venus as Inanna queen of the heavens.

Medea meaning to ponder / cunning was Hekate’s high priestess, Medea daughter of wisdom eloped with Jason (argonaut) leaving her culture and heritage behind to live in a foreign patriarchal society. Medea was skilled in herbal medicine as well as other talents, she represents our ability to use Hekate’s talents and the struggles of living outside mainstream society as Prophets, Seers and revelators. In the natal chart Medea shows how we cope with these themes in our life. Medea was abandoned in a foreign land by Jason and in revenge caused the death of her children she serves as a warning to use our gifts wisely, even when we are shunned or abused, revenge has a price.
Life is a mystery,
Everyone must stand alone
I hear you call my name
And it feels like home

Sun Moon tree

Night time sharpens, heightens each sensation

Darkness stirs and wakes imagination

Silently the senses abandon their defenses

Helpless to resist the notes I write

For I compose the music of the night

Hekate is Goddess of the night, especially moonless starry ones.

“In the deep stillness of the midnight hour … she [Medea] stretched her arms to the stars … O Nox [Nyx the Night], Mother of Mysteries, and all ye golden Astra (Stars) who with Luna succeed the fires of day, and thou, divine triceps Hecate, who knowest all my enterprises and dost fortify the arts of magic.” – Ovid, Metamorphoses 7.162

Grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender

Turn your face away from the garish light of day

Turn your thoughts away from cold unfeeling light

And listen to the music of the night

Phantom Of The Opera – Music Of The Night

The Sampo is a legendary device in finnish mythology, one interpretation is that it was a magical astrolabe, the most common interpretation is that it is The World Pillar or World Tree. The World pillar is a mythical column on which the precession of the Spring Equinox turns. Sampo highlighted in the natal chart also gives an understanding to astrological principles, and ability to see connection in the heavenly movement of planets to themes of our lives. Antigone 129 and Hippodamia 692 Dysfunctional families Leave a comment
Pillars of creation

Antigone was the daughter / sister of Oedipus. After her father/ brother discovered his wife was his mother he blinded himself and left, Jocaster his wife / mother committed suicide. Jocaster’s brother Creon was left in control of country until Oedipus’s sons grew up. Later, the brothers started fighting over who will rule Thebes. Being the older brother, Polyneices believed he had the birthright, but Eteocles ousted him. Polyneices with an army invaded Thebes – in which both the brothers died. Thus once more Creon ascended to the throne.

Creon gave Eteocles an honourable funeral as defender of country but saw Polyneices as a traitor. Antigone however was determined to give her brother a respectful funeral and incurred the wrath of Creon her uncle. Creon ordered his son Haemon to kill Antigone however Haemon was in love with Antigone and hid her. Antigone had a son with Haemon called Maeon, who because of the mark of the dragon on his forehead was recognised as Antigone’s son. Creon was now aware that Antigone was still alive, leading Haemon to kill her and commit suicide before they were discovered.

Hippodamia’s father was told that his son-in-law would cause his death, thus he had challenged all of Hippodamia’s suitors to a chariot race in which he killed them. Pelops wanting to marry Hippodamia asked Neptune for help, Neptune gave Pelops his chariot of winged horses to race with, Pelops still unsure of victory promises half of Oenomaus’ kingdom and the first night in bed with Hippodamia to Myrtilus, as he was putting Oenomaus’ chariot together, he replaced the bronze linchpins attaching the wheels to the chariot axle with fake ones made of beeswax.

Pelops won the race and killed Oenomaus, before throwing Myrtilus over a cliff – Myrtilus with his dying breath puts a curse on their offspring.

Antigone and Hippodamia both relate to the skeletons in our family closet, they shed light on secrets buried in the past that suddenly appear from nowhere. Where these asteroids are in the chart is where the family scandals have been buried where they are most likely resurrected in future.

I am Rosemary’s granddaughter
The spitting image of my father
And when the day is done
My momma’s still my biggest fan

Sometimes I’m clueless and I’m clumsy
But I’ve got friends that love me
And they know just where I stand
It’s all a part of me and that’s who I am

So when I make a big mistake
And when I fall flat on my face
I know I’ll be alright

Apollo is the Greek God of oracles, medicine and music. Hermes created the Lyre for Apollo his hymns are called Paeans, and we each have our own Paean or song, understanding our own song is part of Apollo’s healing medicine. Apollo in the chart is part of our journey in discovering our song, the music which as heavenly dancers we feel vibrate throughout our soul.

Apollo shows where our unique talents and abilities lie, where we shine and where we need to listen to our inner voice and intuition. When we try to block or ignore Apollo in the chart dis-ease can raise its head Apollo not only asks us to know ourselves but to accept ourselves for who we are, to accept our song and dance to its rhythm.

Nessus 7066 and Dejanira 157 2 comments
tango

That these are the days that bind you together, forever
And these little things define you forever, forever

All this bad blood here, won’t you let it dry?
It’s been cold for years, won’t you let it lie?

If we’re only ever looking back
We will drive ourselves insane
As the friendship goes resentment grows
We will walk our different ways

But those are the days that bind us together, forever
And those little things define us forever, forever

Bad Blood – Bastille

Nessus the Centaur abducted Dejanira, Hercules rescued her and fatally wounded Nessus. Nessus told Dejanira with his dying breath that if his heart’s blood was mixed with Olive Oil and applied to Hercule’s tunic he would never be unfaithful again. Dejanira believing him applied the blood which burnt Hercules so badly he threw himself on the funeral pyre, Dejanira in grief followed him.

In other versions of the myth Hercules violates Dejanira and promises to come back and marry her. The Centaur Eurytion asks to marry Dejanira and Hercules comes back on the scene to slay him and claim Dejanira as his wife.

Both versions of the story deal with passions of the heart, violence and sexual infidelity and misconduct. Dejanira is a warrior princess expert in warfare and chariot driving, similar to Queen Boudicca. Queen Boudicca of the Iceni tribe watched her daughters being raped as she was flogged by Roman soldiers. Boudicca then led the Iceni and other tribes in revolt, burning Roman Colchester, London and St. Alban’s to the ground. The Roman Armies finally defeated Boudicca at the Battle of Watling Street where she committed suicide rather than be captured by the Roman Army.

Nessus is an indicator of Bad Blood, there was certainly bad blood between Boudicca and the Romans. With his dying breath Nessus plots Hercule’s death, this is the stuff of vendettas. This Bad Blood comes straight from the heart and is capable of poisoning us, Nessus is our urge for revenge, our inability to let go of the past and move on. Nessus in the natal chart shows where issues of Bad Blood have affected us family vendettas, inability to move on and forgive ourselves as well as others is shown by Nessus.

Dejanira, shows where we have been wounded by the slings and arrows of misfortune, this asteroid shows abuse of power in all its forms whether that is Boudicca witnessing the rape of her daughters or the daughters witnessing the physical abuse of their mother Dejanira is no pushover she is a warrior that fights back refusing to passively let the slings and arrows wound without a counter attack.

Asteroid 666 Desdemona – A Shakespearean Tragedy Leave a comment
Othello_and_Desdemona_by_Alexandre-Marie_Colin

And his unkindness may defeat my life, But never taint my love.

Desdemona is a complex asteroid, with many affects depending on the natal position.

Desdemona in aspect to Sun, Leo or 5th house:

I am one, sir, that comes to tell you your daughter
and the Moor are now making the beast with two backs.

My noble father,
I do perceive here a divided duty.
To you I am bound for life and education.
My life and education both do learn me
How to respect you. You are the lord of my duty,
I am hitherto your daughter. But here’s my husband,
And so much duty as my mother showed
To you, preferring you before her father,
So much I challenge that I may profess
Due to the Moor my lord.

Who is good enough for my daughter, Desdemona in this position in the natal chart may show a father who like Desdemona’s father feels her choice is not good enough, either through protective issues or obsessions over social standing. Desdemona chooses Othello over her father and this drives a wedge between them. Desdemona in Leo or aspect to sun may indicate loss of father through circumstance too.

Desdemona in aspect to Pluto, Scorpio and 8th house:

So sweet was ne’er so fatal. I must weep. But they are cruel tears. This sorrow’s heavenly; it strikes where it doth love.

The fresh streams ran by her, and murmer’d her moans
Sing willow, willow, willow
Her salt tears fell from her and soft’ned the stones.

Let nobody blame him, his scorn I approve
Sing willow, willow, willow
He was born to be fair, I to die for his love,

Othello kills Desdemona in a jealous rage, this planet can signify domestic abuse in childhood, where the child is the audience of this Shakespearean tragedy unfolding. When Uranus is also in aspect the child is wary as an adult, they’ve seen the path relationships can go down and they may be against formal commitments such as marriage as they want to ensure escape routes are always open.

Other Desdemona issues include different sides of family not speaking, mirroring our parents relationships, false accusations of adultery etc.

Transit Neptune square Natal Medusa – When the Guardian fails to protect Leave a comment
medusa

Medusa was once a beautiful Goddess of golden locks of corn, guardian over agriculture, keeper of the storehouse and protector of farming equipment. As such she was offered tributes in exchange for protection and a good harvest. What happened to make Medusa so demonized?

Some archaeologists have argued, that a Mediterranean tsunami struck the north shore of Crete a bit over 3,500 years ago; the disaster, they say, sent Minoan civilization, one of the most sophisticated of the age, into a tailspin, leading it to succumb to Mycenaean Greeks. Neptune God of the sea struck the island raping Medusa, turning those golden locks to serpents. The guardian had failed her duty, the crops were ruined the land stripped of topsoil, the ground salinised and unable to produce. The stores of food ruined, and unable to produce it didn’t take long for anger to be expressed directly at Medusa, the failed guardian. Now raped by Neptune Medusa had turned from beauty into poisoned monstrosity that killed.

George W Bush had transit Neptune square his natal Medusa when hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. As guardian of the USA people looked to G W Bush for answers. An ABC News poll conducted on September 2, 2005, showed more blame was being directed at state and local governments (75%) than at the Federal government (67%), with 44% blaming Bush’s leadership directly.

Asteroid Medusa 149 and fixed star Algol (Medusa’s Third Eye) Leave a comment
frogspawn nebula

Medusa or Medousa means Guardian in Greek. Medusa is associated with the Godesses Athena, Demeter Khysaoros and Artemis. In Artemis’s temple Medusa wears the double snake belt of fertility, Her son Chysaor depicted beside her in Artemis’s temple, Corfu may represent cereals as his name translates into english as he who is golden, he is symbolised as haveing a golden sword, representing gold blades of grain, other times he is symbolised as a boar – the sacrificial offering to Demeter Khysaoros for a good harvest. Medusa’s other son Pegasus, meaning springing forth, may have represented the arrival of spring and was said to carry thunder and lightning for Zeus. In some traditions Perseus is called the harvester, of Medusa, thus Medusa herself may have been a guardian of agriculture and the Perseus myth may relate to ancient harvest rituals.

It is believed that Medusa’s head was worn as a mask by some priestesses as part of rituals, Medusa represented wisdom too as do many others related to cereal rituals, as a source of wisdom, protection, and prosperity Medusa casts a powerful psychic eye into the heart of all things, and if found wanting her look can turn the heart to stone.

Asteroid Medusa in the chart represents, making the most of our opportunities. Medusa the Cereal Goddess, shows what happens if we fail to use our gifts and harvest our talents before the rains come down. Medusa asks us to prepare our psychic flood defences, to be aware of the circumstances around us and to act promptly.

Asteroids Kassandra 114, Helenos 1872 and Pythia 432 – Know Thyself All Ye That enter Apollo’s Temple Leave a comment
twins

Kassandra and Helenus (Helenos) were twins, as babies the were left at the Temple of Apollo by accident. This meant that both had the gift of prophesy. Both had the gift of prophesy but Kassandra was never believed, she warned Paris not to go to Sparta, she tried to burn down the wooden horse but was stopped. Kassandra saw the fall of Troy but she could not stop it because people disbelieved her.

Helenos however was believed and it was actually Helenos who told the Greeks what to do to win the war with Troy. Helenus caused the destruction of Troy with his own words.

Pythia, was the name given to the High Priestess of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, the high Priestess was a trained oracle and prophesies were given to visitors. Unlike Kassandra and Helenos the Pythia was mature enough to cope with her gifts.

Kassandra in the chart represents those areas in life where we are disbelieved, where no matter how much we warn people we are ignored. Helenos on the other hand represents being believed but not yet having learnt discernment or learning when to say something and when not to speak. Pythia shows where we have learnt and become mature enough to handle this energy, where we can be honest and believed, yet where we can discern when it would be better to so nothing.

Hercules, Zeus and the Centaurs Leave a comment
Be ye likewise Perfect

Hercules, son of Zeus is connected to all the centaurs. In his attempt to become perfect like his father the centaurs became the wounded beings we know today.

Chiron, the wounded healer grants us wish fulfilment and addresses the human need for magical thinking, finding spiritual or mystical meaning to traumatic events in life such as grief. As mere mortals we find comfort in believing we are not parted forever from loved ones, that there is a purpose and a reason behind life’s tragedies. Where chiron is placed in the chart, there is trauma like grief that can never be truelly healed but which can be used to comfort others, to provide empathy and understanding. Through our grief and sorrow we connect with each other, we understand that ‘rainbow bridge’ brings comfort whether it is real or not we choose to believe in the comfort of those words. Where Chiron is there is healing words or actions, comforting arms and a gentle hug.

Pholos friend of Hercules caused Chirons wounds when he opened a bottle of wine for hercules. Pholos in the chart shows where we have been wounded by events out with our control. To some extent Pholos represents the unpredictability of life and the natural world and our desire to feel in control of our destiny and not tossed apon the waves of fortune and misfortune. Pholos shows our battle with life and our fight to withstand all the slings and arrows of fate.

Ixion in the chart helps us deal with dark desires and thoughts and such, an early form of psychological counselling used by priests, medicine men etc to exorcise
psychological demons, created spiritual demons to represent the psychological ones and enable others to understand the inner battle man faces. By giving a name to our darkest desires and acknowledging them in fiction and art we are able to forgive ourselves for these dark desires and impulses. Ixion in the chart represents where our darkest desires lie and where we can learn to resolve our guilt over our thoughts and impulses. Ixion allows us to understand our imperfections and to relate to each other as imperfect beings.

Implemented on 2 April 2025, Trump's so-called "Liberation Day," a wacky tariff scheme ostensibly intended to bring back manufacturing to the US by making it prohibitively expensive to import goods, inside a week the ill-conceived policy had shed $10 trillion in value from global markets and spawned trade wars with China, America's third-largest trading partner, before Trump pulled the plug and issued a 90-day pause.

That some such mishigas would be the result of Trump 2.0 can be seen clearly in the inauguration chart, which sports Mercury (trade) opposed Mars (war), and a conjunction of Venus (finances) with Saturn (hardship, loss) and asteroid Donn (pointing the cosmic finger at Trump personally as the cause).

On the day the mass selloff began, complete with wild market swings as investors struggled to clutch at straws for hope, the Sun was trine to a conjunction of asteroids Liberati (for Liberation Day) and Plunge (for sudden, dramatic drops), and sesquiquadrate a conjunction of asteroids Markert (for "market) and Swings (for wild fluctuations), further fleshing out the picture of impending global financial collapse further fleshing out the picture of impending global financial collapse.

Celestial markers of disaster in Trump's own chart and that of the New York Stock Exhange collude to provide the perfect storm of the Mad King run amok, disseminating loss and disaster indiscriminately. With a 10% across-the-board tariff still in effect, and an insane 145% tariff on Chinese imports, it remains an open question whether a recession can be avoided in the months to come.

A Tale of Two Thomases
MASS SHOOTING + bank raid

Asteroid Thomas conjunct asteroid Requiem (named for the funeral mass for the dead) at the fulcrum of a T-square with Neptune (victims) and asteroid Lachesis (named for the Greek Fate who determines the span of life) suffices to explain the death of Thomas Elliot, murdered by employee Connor Sturgeon. Asteroid Connors, also at station and exactly opposed asteroid Gunn, with asteroid Banks squared Saturn (ancient lord of death) and Damocles (the looming threat) fills in the rest of the story.

Asteroid Thomas squared Neptune also evokes the deception routinely practiced by Justice Thomas, who for twenty years has failed to report gifts, vacations and real estate deals with conservative megadonor Harlan Crow, and income from his wife Virginia (Ginni) Thomas, totaling millions of dollars. Centaurs in Astrology: What Their Traits Reveal
I. Introduction to Centaurs in Astrology
Centaurs, fascinating figures in both mythology and astrology, embody a unique blend of human intellect and animal instinct. In the astrological context, Centaurs represent not only celestial bodies but also a deeper understanding of the human experience through their complex traits and characteristics.

The discovery of Centaurs in astrology began in the 1970s with the identification of the first celestial Centaur, Chiron. This discovery marked a significant expansion in astrological practice, offering new insights into the human psyche and the healing journey. Centaurs are often seen as archetypes of duality, symbolizing the balance between our instinctual nature and our higher consciousness.

This article aims to explore the mythological background of Centaurs, their significance in astrology, the key traits associated with them, and their influence on personal growth and transformation.

II. The Mythological Background of Centaurs
In Greek mythology, Centaurs are depicted as half-human, half-horse beings, typically embodying a wild and untamed spirit. Their origins can be traced back to various myths, but one of the most prominent stories describes them as the offspring of Ixion and a cloud created by Zeus.

The dual nature of Centaurs represents the tension between civilization and savagery, intellect and instinct. This dichotomy has led to rich symbolic meanings, such as:

Wisdom and knowledge
Wildness and freedom
Healing and transformation
III. Key Centaurs in Astrology
A. Chiron: The Wounded Healer
Chiron, often referred to as the “Wounded Healer,” holds a prominent place in astrology. His mythological story revolves around his own painful wound, which he could not heal. This narrative reflects the journey of healing others while grappling with one’s own wounds.

In astrology, Chiron signifies:

Deep emotional wounds that require healing

The potential for transformation through pain
A connection to teaching and mentoring others
B. Pholus: The Catalyst for Change
Pholus is another significant Centaur in astrology, representing the transformative power of SUDDEN change. His story is one of awakening and realization, often linked to the theme of consequences following indulgence.

Astrologically, Pholus is associated with:

Moments of insight and clarity
The need to embrace change
Shifts in personal perspective
C. Other notable Centaurs and their meanings
Other Centaurs such as Nessus and Asbolus also bring unique traits and insights into astrological practice, enhancing our understanding of the complexities of human nature.

IV. Traits and Characteristics of Centaur Influences
The influences of Centaurs on our astrological charts reveal a rich tapestry of traits:

The interplay of emotions and intellect: Centaurs often highlight the balance between our emotional responses and rational thoughts, encouraging us to integrate both aspects.
Themes of healing and transformation: Many individuals with strong Centaur placements may find themselves in roles of healing, whether personally or professionally, often leading to profound personal transformations.
The balance between freedom and responsibility: Centaurs remind us of the importance of freedom while also acknowledging the responsibilities that come with it.
V. Centaur Placements in Birth Charts
Understanding Centaur placements in birth charts can provide valuable insights into personality traits and life paths. These placements indicate how the unique characteristics of Centaurs influence an individual’s journey.

Aspects to consider include:

House placements: Different houses can highlight specific areas of life where Centaur energy is active.
Aspect relationships: The connections between Centaurs and other celestial bodies can reveal deeper insights into personal challenges and strengths.
Case studies of notable individuals, such as artists, healers, and leaders with prominent Centaur placements, illustrate how these influences manifest in diverse and impactful ways.

VI. The Role of Centaurs in Modern Astrology
There is a growing interest in Centaur astrology as practitioners seek to deepen their understanding of the human experience. Centaurs are increasingly recognized for their relevance in contemporary astrological practice, offering new avenues for exploration and insight.

These celestial figures can inform personal growth and self-awareness by:

Encouraging introspection and emotional healing
Highlighting personal transformation themes
Providing guidance on navigating life’s challenges
VII. Challenges and Lessons from Centaur Traits
While Centaur traits offer valuable insights, they also present challenges that require navigation:

Navigating the complexities of duality: Embracing both the wild and civilized aspects of ourselves can lead to inner conflict.
Dealing with the wounded healer archetype: Acknowledging our wounds while helping others heal can be a delicate balance.
Lessons on embracing change and transformation: Centaurs teach us that change is a natural part of life and that embracing it can lead to growth.
VIII. Conclusion: Embracing the Centaur Influence
In summary, Centaurs in astrology provide profound insights into the complexities of human nature, healing, and transformation. By exploring personal Centaur influences, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of their own journeys and the lessons they carry.

As we continue to learn from these intriguing celestial beings, let us embrace the Centaur influence in our lives, paving the way for personal growth, healing, and a richer understanding of our place in the universe.

Chiron: Known as the "Wounded Healer," Chiron at the Ascendant can indicate a strong drive for healing, both personally and for others. It often brings themes of overcoming past wounds and using those experiences to help others2.

Pholus: Associated with sudden change and insight, Pholus at the Ascendant can suggest a transformative journey and moments of profound realization.

Nessus: This Centaur is linked to themes of betrayal and healing from deep emotional wounds. Having Nessus at the Ascendant can indicate a need to confront and heal from past betrayals.

Asbolus: Known for its association with poison and transformation, Asbolus at the Ascendant can bring themes of purification and deep change.

These placements can add layers of complexity and depth to the individual's chart, highlighting their potential for growth, healing, and transformation.

My aunt studied asteroids last century and I still have the printout (scribbled on with some notes) of about 30 or 40 asteroids and basic meanings she gave me last century. There are so many asteroids all in all plus tno's and dwarf planets, comets, fixed stars... Thousands2. I got a wee bit obsessed at one point. The work Zip Dobyns and the Pottenger’s have produced re asteroids is totally awesome.Chiron and friends re Zane Stein is fantastic.

Because they are placed in my ephemeris I note positions of chiron, ceres, juno, pallas and vesta. Eris is now difficult to ignore especially as she now is rx in aries and still in orb of squaring pluto. It’s about time some strong yin figures get recognition.

Which of the asteroids I use for someone depends on what I'm looking at, or for what specifically. If one is conjunct a natal planet or in good aspect by transit then it comes to prominence. Regulus is pretty difficult to ignore. I like arcturus and spica. You can find specific asteroids which will resound with any subject. Often I'll look up the position of a client's name asteroid. There is even a whitehouse asteroid.

If I want to get better resolution on a planetary theme then looking at the asteroids that are involved definately give a clearer clarification of matters. I'll look at nessus and dejanira re some relationship charts. (Interesting re Depp and Amber Heard) If the concern is about material things then I'll look at Midas and even Sappho re the stock market or even asteroid gold and silver, yen, fortuna. It all depends. There are Egyptian asteroids, health asteroids like hygiea #10, political asteroids, any type… Hecate #100 cackle2

Serrenu has a fantastic on line ephemeris which will give aspects between planets and ‘a few of the others'. Ie; At present moon trines karma, persephone is with pluto in capricorn. There is also an asteroid ephemeris generator on line but you may need object’s number.

I did discover it's important to keep the asteroids in perspective though. First it's the gestalt between planets and sun/moon who present the basics. Asteroids definately help enhance a theme that's already shown by the prime movers. I find them all facinating. Cheers

===========================================================================

This is a story of two people whose lives are intertwined by fate and shaped inextricably by the abuses of society and specific individuals.

We first have to understand the relationship between Quasimodo and Agnès or Esmerelda. Theirs is not a story of a grand romance. Both characters live within the confines of their situations. Orphaned, manipulated, misunderstood. They both come from low backgrounds, but seeing eye-to-eye still takes time. Eventually, Esmerelda learns to look past Quasimodo’s physical appearance and see that he is a good person. Quasimodo sees how vulnerable Esmerelda is and wants to protect her.

Esmerelda, however, sees Quasimodo more as a friend, whereas Quasimodo loves Esmerelda as both a friend and romantic interest. They do not cross the boundaries of friendship.

I can see this couple tiptoeing between friendship and romantic love. It’s not quite purely platonic but not a full-blown romance, either.

They may feel protective of each other. Protecting, saving, and standing up for each other against others. One person may even be self-sacrificial for the other.

One person may show their love through acts of service. They become conscious of the other’s well-being and make it their main priority to make them feel safe.

Being together feels like a quiet respite from the outside world. Appearances are no longer as important as appreciating each other’s inner selves.

Born 13954
Named after Max Born, a German-Jewish physicist and mathematician
Can be read as born, as in birth
Could give context to where and how you were born, circumstances around your birth
I have mine conjunct North Node in Libra in the 3rd house. I have a feeling this is not so much about my own birth as it is about me having children. I think this only because there are a lot of other markers in my chart related to children and marriage.

DNA 55555
Named after DNA, our genetic instructions
Astrologically, could refer to your family, genetic traits, or anything that is passed down from one generation to the next
I have mine conjunct the Arabic lot for grandparents [ASC+Jupiter-House 2nd] in Sagittarius in 4th House. My grandmother’s Sun sign is in Sagittarius, and even though we don’t know my grandfather’s exact birthdate, it is either in Sagittarius or Capricorn. The 4th house has to do with the home, family, mother, etc., which matches since they are my maternal grandparents.

Racine 11051
Named after Jean Racine, a French author from the 1600s
Racine means root or origin in French
Could refer to genealogical roots, your home, ethnic origins, or anything that gives you feel a sense of familiarity
Mine is trine Patria 1347 (and Jupiter) and semi-sextile Saturn. Patria means native country or homeland. Saturn typically refers to male authority figures and fathers. I have always been interested in my family history and I ask my dad about it ALL THE TIME.

Manas 3349
Named after Epic of Manas, a Kyrgyz epic poem
Can be read as manas meaning the mind that makes us different from animals in Sanskrit
Mine is quintile Soma 2815 (further down). An interesting connection between mind and body…It is also trine my Mercury and Uranus, planets associated with the mind, thought, and intellect.

Psyche 16
Named after Psyche, the Greek goddess of the soul
Psyche refers to the human soul, mind, or spirit
Mine is trine Moon (Aquarius), sextile Venus (Aries), sextile POF (Leo), sextile Aura (Aries). These are mostly feminine planets, but all my feminine planets are in masculine signs. A mix between feminine and masculine ways of being? I’m overall a very feminine person, but emotionally, I process things in a more traditionally masculine way.

Soma 2815
Named after Soma cube, a puzzle invented by Piet Hein, which in turn was named after the drug called soma featured in Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
Soma is also a word meaning the body of an organism
Mine is conjunct Alma 390 in Pisces in the 8th House. Although I am very Aquarian, I do have my Aquarius Sun very close to Pisces and my Mars is also in Pisces. These two planets are prominent and strong in my natal chart. Even if I am very Aquarian, I can see an underlying Pisces nature in me, supported by this Soma-Alma conjunction.

Sima 23437
Unknown name origin; discovered by Czech astronomer, Antonín Mrkos
Could have been named after Josef Šíma, a Czech modernist painter, but this is just my own guess. Please don’t quote me on this.
Sima means face and implies a beautiful face in Iranian and Turkish languages.
The only one out of the lot to aspect my ascendant but it’s a minor aspect (semi-square). 😕 Hopefully, this means something good about my face lol 😏

Can be read as aura meaning the energy we give off and that surrounds us
Conjunct Venus in Aries 8th house, square Jupiter, quintile Neptune, and trine POF. Glad these planets are seen as fortunate and/or expansive. 😮‍💨 Do I give off a more happy-go-lucky vibe in person? 🤔

NOTE: These asteroids can be interpreted in many different ways just like planets. If it doesn’t “make sense” to you, maybe the asteroid is supposed to be interpreted in a different way in your chart.

If one or more of these asteroids are prominent in your natal chart, it can affect synastry with another person too. For example, I have Alma conjunct Soma conjunct my Saturn in Pisces in the 8th House. Someone else with their personal planets in Pisces (especially in the same degree) might leave a greater impression on me or affect me deeply. Anything touching my Saturn will most likely also touch my Alma-Soma conjunction.

Real-life example: I just discovered an artist that I REALLY like. Been listening to their music on repeat every day, no breaks. It’s getting insane 🥲😂 He has so many personal planets in Pisces and conjunct my Alma-Soma conjunction too. Not to mention there’s also an Eros trine Psyche synastric aspect.

Inescapable Past, Present, and Future - Interpreting the Fates and Norns in Birth Chart
image

The Fates in Greek Mythology

Moira 638
Named after the Moirai, the Fates, in Greek mythology
The 3 Fates (Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos) decided the destinies of every being, including the gods
How long one would live, what trials a person would have to go through in their life to fulfill their destiny
In mythology, the 3 sisters would visit a baby 3 days after it was born to determine its fate
Klotho 97
the beginning…

Named after Clotho, the first of the 3 Fates and the spinner of human life
She determined when a person was born and whether or not a person could be saved
Lachesis 120
…how it’s going…

Named after Lachesis, the second of the 3 Fates and the measurer of Clotho’s thread
She determined how long a person would live and could choose the person’s destiny
Atropos 273
…how it ends

Named after Atropos, the third of the 3 Fates and the cutter of the thread
She determined how someone died and would be the one to end a person’s life by cutting his/her life thread

The Norns in Norse Mythology

Urda 167, Erda 894
Past…

Named after Urd, the first Norn associated with the past and the decider of people’s fates
The name means “fate” in Old Norse
Werdandi 621
…Present…

Named after Verdandi, the second Norn associated with the present and things that were happening or becoming
The verb “verda” means “to become” or “in the making” in Old Norse
Skuld 1130
…Future

Named after Skuld, the last Norn associated with the future and debt

What could this look like in a birth chart?
I know these asteroids have to do with heavy things like mortality, but you can also see these asteroids as the “life span” of a passion, purpose in life, relationship, whatever it is. Look at aspects, house, sign, and any other asteroids around to figure out what the Fates and Norns are telling you.

Examples in my chart

Golden yod formation with the first Norn

Urda makes a golden yod with Chiron biquintile Midheaven.
Funny since yods are also called the finger of fate. I have yet to write a proper post about yods, but I’ll dip my toe here. In my Urda golden yod, MC is the apex. Urda is quintile Chiron. Maybe this has to do with developing knowledge/skills that have to do with my past or destiny or other people’s pasts/destinies. Whatever it is will affect my career/how the world sees me. Once again, I have to live through some more life to get a better idea…

Another aspect pointing to my destiny with the first Norn

Erda is conjunct Moon/Juno and trine North Node/Chiron.
Erda aspects my NN, the path we are supposed to take in this life. It also aspects my Chiron like my Urda golden yod mentioned earlier. This one, however, is conjunct my Aquarius Moon and Juno in 6th House. Oh boy…I think I briefly talked about this in another post, but here is another marker that I am supposed to be in a marriage/long-term relationship. Either that or my marriage is to my work (6th), and this my fate?

Endings on my Angles

Atropos in Scorpio 4th House conjunct IC.
Skuld conjunct Sun-Mars-DC conjunction.
Skuld is conjunct my Sun-Mars-DC conjunction. It is a wide orb with the Sun and DC. It is also conjunct Iduna 176 (eternal youth). Hopefully, this means I’ll live a long life, or I’ll at least look youthful even in old age. It is also conjunct Devience 21419. The results of anything I do will end up deviating from the expected?

OKKKK so Atropos is literally sandwiched between my Moon/AC midpoint and Juno/AC midpoint. Moon-Juno themes happening again here.

It is also interesting that Atropos is conjunct Fantasia 1224 and Skuld is conjunct Morpheus 4197. Both can be associated with dreams and non-reality.

Other Aspects

Lachesis is sextile Mercury/Uranus and trine Pluto.
The Mercury/Uranus/Pluto theme is coming back from Klotho. I am destined to be someone who wants to uncover truths? Astrology isn’t my professional career, but I guess I am so into it because, in the end, I want to know just how real it can be.

Moira is sextile Venus.
Moira is also conjunct Polyhymnia 33 (liberal/fine arts, creative spirituality). Fated for a more creative pursuit? In Gemini 10th House too…

Werdandi is biquintile South Node.
Falling back on already “mastered” life lessons and traits and creatively using them? Perhaps my past/past lives are helpful to my present.

Overall something about the past/beginnings (Klotho, Urda, Erda, SN) is very important in my life.

Find your fates and destinies! (but know that you are also not locked into one type of life forever)

CLOSING STATEMENTS
Marilyn Monroe has the most beauty asteroids in her 4th house (Scorpio, Sagittarius) [7/32]. The sign that appeared the most is a tie between Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces (all the water signs) [5/32 for all 3 signs].

Audrey Hepburn has an overwhelming number of beauty asteroids concentrated in the 7th house (Leo, Virgo, Libra). When I say overwhelming, I mean she has almost half of all these beauty asteroids in her 7th house [15/32]. Her most common sign is a tie between Virgo and Libra [7/32 for both]

Elizabeth Taylor’s most common house is the 3rd (Pisces, Aries) and 8th house (Cancer, Leo, Virgo) [6/32 for both]. The most common sign is a tie between Scorpio and Pisces [6/32 for both].

Grace Kelly has a lot of beauty asteroids concentrated in her 1st house (Scorpio, Sagittarius) [9/32]. The most common sign is Scorpio [8/32], with Sagittarius as a close second [7/32].

Several formations, mainly Grand Trines, were made with asteroids and major planets. Most were in Marilyn and Elizabeth’s charts.

Grace Kelly had many prominent asteroids related to royalty/nobility, which matches the fact that she became a royal [Kleopatra, Godiva, Regulus, Helena, Nefertiti].

There are many asteroids prominent in these charts, but these are the ones that were most interesting to me:

Photographica 443

All 4 women have become icons through their photographs and movies. Marilyn and Grace’s Photographica are aspecting their Vertex (destiny). Marilyn and Audrey have Photographica aspecting angular Moon, Venus, Neptune, AC. Elizabeth’s Photographica is conjunct her Neptune (film, illusion) and opposite her Sun/Mercury.

Sirene 1009

All have Sirene aspecting Mercury or in the 3rd house (seductive, enchanting voice) like an actual siren. Marilyn and Audrey were known for singing as well.

Couples through an Astrological Lens: Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara
Concentrated Scorpio Energy + Concentrated Aries Energy = the most Mars relationship I’ve ever seen 🔥
Overview of how Joaquin and Rooney’s relationship works astrologically… how accurate is it?

This couple is just bonkers to me. This relationship sits, simmers, and boils in so much Mars energy. Rooney Mara is highly Aries (ruled by Mars), and Joaquin Phoenix has a lot of Scorpio (traditionally ruled by Mars). Joaquin potentially has an Aries Moon, which matches Rooney’s Aries energy. And they also have each other’s opposite signs: Rooney with Mars in Taurus (notice that it is Mars 🤯) and Joaquin with Mercury in Libra.

Venus (Scorpio) conjunct Mars (Scorpio)
Mercury (Libra) conjunct Mars (Scorpio)
Sun (Scorpio) conjunct Mars (Scorpio)
Moon (Aries) opposite Pluto (Libra)
Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix both have Pluto opposite a luminary. This gives both people a plutonic flavor; we do not know Joaquin’s Moon exactly, but he is already Scorpionic. On top of that, each person has a lot of Mars conjunctions or Aries in their birth charts. Generally speaking, we could say both people are very in tune with their Mars sides.

Also, notice that Rooney’s Aries Sun is closer to Taurus, which allows it to be opposite her Scorpio Pluto instead of inconjunct. Same with Joaquin; his Scorpio planets are closer to Libra, which allows his Scorpio planets and Libra planets to be conjunct instead of semi-sextile. Rooney and Joaquin are matched to be opposites, which is a strong indication of being complementary.

Synastry Chart

Focusing on conjunction, opposition, and double whammies since these stood out to me the most

Sun opposite Mercury
Sun opposite Venus
Sun opposite Mars
Sun opposite Uranus
Mercury opposite Pluto
Sun conjunct Pluto
Moon* conjunct Mercury
Moon* conjunct Venus
DOUBLE WHAMMY: Venus conjunct Pluto || Venus opposite Pluto
DOUBLE WHAMMY: Mars conjunct Pluto || Mars sesquiquadrate Pluto
Rooney Mara’s Sun activates a lot of Joaquin Phoenix’s personal planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) plus a generational planet (Uranus). Her Mercury also activates his Pluto.

From Joaquin’s side, his Sun activates her Pluto. His Moon aspects her Mercury and Venus, but his Moon is inaccurate, so I would take this with a grain of salt.

There are 2 double whammies: Venus-Pluto and Mars-Pluto. Many astrologers say these aspects are very intense, and not everyone can handle them well. But seeing that both people are intense and passionate on their own, these aspects in their synastry might not be overwhelming since they are already attuned to this energy.

Also, the double whammies concern Venus, Mars, and Pluto, which brings back the whole Plutonic, Mars, Aries, and Scorpio theme. AND Venus heightens their Taurus and Libra energy too.

Composite Chart

Looking at their composite chart, they do not have a lot of Mars aspects. Instead, Venus and the outer planets are more heavily aspected. Makes me think that despite all their Mars energy, they are not aggressive or combative with each other. It’s nice to see their composite Jupiter conjunct their North Node. They work towards growing and learning from each other. Values and life philosophies match. Both want to make each other feel happy and are generous toward each other.

Concluding Thoughts

Separately, both have quirky, odd personalities but are still charming and magnetic. Aries tend to have quirky personalities, and Scorpios are also known to be unconventional (Uranus is exalted in Scorpio). Aries, Scorpio, Mars, and Pluto are also two of the most passionate signs/planets in astrology. Both are intense in their own way.

I do not know them personally, so I cannot say what they are like. But, the composite Jupiter conjunct North Node seems true since both are into animal rights, veganism, and environmental issues. And true to their signs, both people are outspoken and passionate about these issues.

I find this coupling so interesting because both are so much of one sign that is ruled by the same planet. And they’ve come together!

Astro Observation: Beauty and Attraction in Astrology - Analyzing the Big 4 of the Golden Age of Hollywood - PART 1
There are many iconic Golden Age actresses, but I feel like these four are the most talked about and referenced even today. This is an ongoing “study,” so I will definitely look at other iconic Golden Age actresses and celebrities now in the future.

NOTE: There are so many ways a person shows beauty. Please know that these are only four women of a specific time. They are beautiful in their own ways but are not the sole ultimate beauty standard.

THE BIG 4

Marilyn Monroe
Audrey Hepburn
Elizabeth Taylor
Grace Kelly
image

LUMINARIES
Among luminaries [Sun and Moon], each of the four has one mutable sign and one fixed sign.

Marilyn Monroe = Gemini Sun (mutable) + Aquarius Moon (fixed)
Audrey Hepburn = Taurus Sun (fixed) + Pisces Moon (mutable)
Elizabeth Taylor = Pisces Sun (mutable) + Scorpio Moon (fixed)
Grace Kelly = Scorpio Sun (fixed) + Pisces Moon (mutable)
The mutable and fixed combination shows a mix of flexibility and staying power. Iconic stars like these 4 actresses would have had to change with the times (mutable) but also stay at the top (fixed).

VENUS + MARS
Three out of the four have Venus in Aries. Grace Kelly has the opposite sign of Libra. This means all four have Cardinal Venuses. All four also have Water Mars.

Marilyn M. = Aries Venus, Pisces Mars
Audrey H. = Aries Venus, Cancer Mars
Elizabeth T. = Aries Venus, Pisces Mars
Grace K. = Libra Venus, Scorpio Mars
Aries is associated with the head and face. Having Venus in this sign could show an endearing baby face. Notice how Marilyn, Audrey, and Elizabeth all have that youthful baby face, but Grace Kelly has a more mature image. Her Venus is domicile in Libra, which means it is comfortable in Libra and can easily express Venus themes. Cardinal signs, in general, are pioneering signs, the go-getters. These women were, in many ways, pioneering forms of femininity. They defined beauty and feminity for their generation and beyond.

Water Mars are emotionally driven, imaginative, and intuitive. Sometimes, it is not enough to just feel emotions; they have to express them physically in some way. These 4 women were actresses, which gave them an outlet for emotions that needed to be expressed. Also, water signs are typicallymore feminine and soft, meaning having feminine or soft behaviors and ways of moving.

OFFSHOOT: Venus in Aries = Many Relationships?

Not related to beauty but notice that Grace Kelly (Venus in Libra) only married once and stayed married. Whereas Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Elizabeth Taylor (Venus in Aries) each married and divorced more than once.

Venus is in detriment in Aries, meaning it is in the sign opposite of the sign(s) it rules. Aries (and Scorpio) is ruled by Mars. Libra and Taurus are ruled by Venus.

In detriment, Venus does not express Venus qualities or themes as easily. Many Venus in Aries people confuse lust, attraction, and the honeymoon stage for real, lasting love. Not to mention, they can be impulsive and daring in relationships. They can marry quickly and then divorce when they realize the relationship is not what they expected or needed.

ANGULAR PLANETS
Marilyn M. = Sun 10th, Moon 7th, Mercury 10th, Jupiter 7th, Saturn 4th, Neptune 1st

I was shocked at how many angular planets each actress had, especially Marilyn. Our 4 angles are like the 4 pillars of our chart. Having planets in those houses and/or on the cusps makes those planets prominent. Those planets tend to be noticeably expressed and are more visible to others.

MOST COMMON SIGN / MODALITY / ELEMENT / RULER
Pisces is the most common sign among personal planets, ascendants, and midheavens. Scorpio comes in second.

There were no Virgo or Capricorn placements among personal planets, ascendants, and midheavens of these 4.

The most common modality is a tie between fixed and mutable.

The most common element is water.

The most common sign rulers are Neptune, Jupiter, Pluto, and Mars.

MOST COMMON ASPECTS
Moon-Jupiter (¾)

These aspects could show indulgence, expressive emotions, optimism, and an attraction to emotional experiences. MM (conjunct), ET (square), GK (square). Only Audrey Hepburn does not have this aspect.

Moon-Saturn (¾)

This shows conservative emotions, emotional responsibility for others/situations, and emotional maturity. Brings seriousness to handling emotions or a tendency to make emotions “useful” in some way. In this case, these 4 women made acting their career and their stardom included adjusting their outer self in contrast to their inner self (regulating inner emotional deeper self). MM (square), AH (sextile), GK (square); Only Elizabeth Taylor does not have this aspect.

Mercury-AC (¾)

Communication abilities are prominent in Mercury-AC people. They speak/write well and could be witty, sociable, and clever. They can also easily express thoughts through facial expressions and gestures. Generally speaking, there could be an urge to express and share thoughts frequently and effectively. AH (square), ET (square), GK (conjunct); Only Marilyn Monroe does not have this aspect.

Venus-Neptune (¾)

These people are creative and artistic souls. It can mean literal artistic skill, but not always. They are good at creating fantasies and are most likely romantic or have a very romantic style. Neptune is a blurry planet, so Venus-Neptune tends to blur the lines in love, art, and attraction. They may be attracted to or want to exude otherworldliness or something higher. MM (trine), AH (trine), GK (sextile); Only Elizabeth Taylor does not have this aspect.

Venus-AC (¾)

This is a classic aspect for beauty, attractiveness, charm, and/or popularity. This aspect could also show insecurity and/or being very occupied with your looks and mannerisms. Venus-AC people emphasize Venusian themes in their lives; they may look at the world through an artistic eye. AH (sextile), ET (trine), GK (conjunct); Only Marilyn Monroe does not have this aspect.

Venus-MC (¾)

Venus-MC people want to live and breathe Venus qualities and often achieve this goal. Their careers have to do with Venusian themes, and/or they may become known as a beauty or a channel for beauty/love/relationship-related things. MM (conjunct), AH (trine), ET (opposite); Only Grace Kelly does not have this aspect.

Saturn-Neptune (¾)

This aspect could show someone who works to make dreams a reality. They do not just dream away their lives but can adjust their dreams to be realistic. This can also show seriousness in spirituality. Saturn and Neptune are not personal planets, but each actress has either Saturn or Neptune or both angular, except for Elizabeth Taylor. MM (square), AH (trine), GK (trine); Only Elizabeth Taylor does not have this aspect.

Uranus-MC (¾)

This aspect shows a striking quality to the career and reputation or a desire to stand out in one’s career or social sphere. This person can be progressive and unconventional in career or life choices. AH (trine), ET (opposite), GK (trine); Only Marilyn Monroe does not have this aspect.

Ascendant (17)
Chiron (16)
Sun (14)
Mercury (14)
Mars (14)
Saturn (14)
Pluto (13)
Midheaven (13)
Uranus (8)
North Node (8)
Although I did not find any Moon-Venus aspects, Moon and Venus are the 2 most aspected planets. Both are feminine planets, which is no surprise in our little study. Moon is associated with our basic femininity and our emotions, which matches the acting part of our subjects’ lives. All four women acted as a career but also had to put on an act outside since they were always in the public eye. I would imagine this requires a level of emotional regulation, knowing when to express certain things and when to keep feelings to yourself. Venus is associated with beauty, aesthetics, and love. All four of these women were known for these themes.

Jupiter and Neptune tie back to the Pisces energy. Pisces tend to have a flowing, ethereal vibe; they seem out of reach. This makes sense since these four do not give off girl-next-door vibes. They exude glamour that can’t be easily attained.

Jupiter and Neptune are also expansive planets, referring to their fame and wide reach. Jupiter is a benefic planet and bestows many fortunes and luck. Note that the typically malefic planets like Mars, Saturn, and Pluto are in the bottom half of the list. Neptune is often associated with illusions, beauty, art, photography, and film, blurring reality and non-reality. I believe these four are still famous because they utilized reality and non-reality very well.

The Ascendant being in the top half of the list makes sense since much of their careers were based on their appearances and mannerisms.

FORMATIONS
All four have Grand Trine formations.

Marilyn Monroe

GRAND TRINE (water) = Mars [Pisces 8th] - North Node [Cancer 12th] - Saturn [Scorpio 4th]
Marilyn’s Grand Trine shows confidence in working to improve and make herself even better. Working for self-improvement seems obvious and natural to her. It is in water signs and water houses. Deeply emotional but deeper emotions are often hidden, confident in knowing what she is feeling, ease in understanding non-quantifiable things like spirituality, emotions, etc.

Audrey Hepburn

GRAND TRINE (fire/earth) = Venus [Aries 1st] - Neptune [Leo 7th] - Saturn [Capricorn 10th]
Audrey’s Grand Trine shows ease in expressing art, creativity, and beauty. She takes her artistic self seriously and makes it work for her. All are in angular houses, which emphasizes that all things beauty, attraction, aesthetic, etc. are very prominent and confidently expressed in her life. Her Saturn is in its own sign and house, which shows that Audrey’s work ethic is probably unmatched; if she wants to work toward something, she will go ahead and take the steps to get there.

Elizabeth Taylor

GRAND TRINE (fire) = Venus/Uranus [Aries 4th] - Jupiter [Leo 8th] - AC [Sagittarius]
Elizabeth’s Grand Trine shows an ease in expressing a sparkling personality or persona. Venus and Uranus together in Aries make for a dynamic beauty and love nature. With Jupiter in Leo added to the mix, sparks in her personality are made into fireworks. And this works well with her Sagittarius Ascendant. She is modern, fiery, and spirited, which is confidently expressed. Her 4th and 8th water houses also point to depth in her character; the “sparks” are there but sometimes just below the surface, making her all the more interesting.

Grace Kelly

GRAND TRINE (water) = Sun/Mars [Scorpio 1st] - Moon [Pisces 5th] - Pluto [Cancer 9th]
Grace’s Grand Trine shows intensity and depth in character. A lot is contained, but this is not a disadvantage. Instead, she can project her energy out when she wants and in the most effective way. We have a lot of water here with all 3 water signs, Moon and Pluto. But then we also have a lot of fire with her Sun, Mars, and all 3 fire houses in this trine. This shows an innate passionate and deep emotional energy. Self-expression, creativity, impulsiveness, action, emotions, etc. are under her control alone.

Analyzing the Charts of Well-Known Beauties - Beauty Indicators?
Here’s a second “study” on beauty in astrology. This time, the women in this study are from different backgrounds and races. All are still alive today, but their career peaks were at different times.

I compiled this list based on people whose beauty made a strong impression on me when I first saw them in photos, movies, etc. This “study” is still biased since my perception of beauty may differ from others.

Subjects:
Iman (Somali supermodel, entrepreneur)
Aishwarya Rai (Bollywood actress, Miss World 1994)
Monica Bellucci (Italian actress, model)
Han Ga In (Korean actress)
Erika Linder (Swedish androgynous model, actress)
Olivia Hussey (English actress)
Jennifer Connelly (American actress)
Winona Ryder (American actress)
Duckie Thot (South Sudanese-Australian model)
Lee Young Ae (Korean actress)
Anok Yai (South Sudanese-American model)

MOST COMMON SIGN AMONG PERSONAL PLANETS:

Scorpio and Sagittarius tie for first place with 8 planets each.

Libra and Aquarius tie for second place with 6 planets each.

The least common signs are Gemini (2), Cancer (2), and Pisces (2).

Scorpio is a seductive and deep sign. Sagittarius is a modern and youthful sign.

Libra is a balanced and feminine sign. Aquarius is a striking and unique sign.

Strangely, Pisces appeared in only 2 planets: Erika Linder’s Mars and Winona Ryder’s Moon (birth time not accurate). This starkly contrasts with my first Golden Age of Hollywood beauty study, where Pisces was the most common sign featured in all 4 charts.

However, both studies have Scorpio as a top sign.

Perhaps the Golden Age of Hollywood glorified soft, feminine, deep beauty more (Pisces, Scorpio). Whereas those born in the mid-century and beyond glorify more distant, sharp, controlled, powerful, passionate looks (Scorpio, Sagittarius, Libra, Aquarius).

MOST COMMON MODALITY: Fixed (24), Cardinal (16), Mutable (15)

Fixed signs are, as its name suggests, fixed. They do not budge easily, and when they reach a certain position in life, they put in a lot of effort to keep that status. If famous, they tend to stay in the public mind for a long time.

The fixed signs are Taurus (5), Leo (5), Scorpio (8), and Aquarius (6). All 4 signs have a strong drive to become the best and make something of themselves. They could have tunnel vision sometimes when it comes to reaching their goals. All 4 could also have an obsessive streak.

image
MOST COMMON ELEMENT: Fire (17), Air (14), Earth/Water (12 each)

Fire signs are passionate, youthful, and put themselves out into the world. The 3 fire signs are Aries (4), Leo (5), and Sagittarius (8). All 3 signs are unafraid to be themselves and have a lot of drive. They are typically action-oriented, confident people.

image
MOST COMMON RULING PLANET: Venus (11), Jupiter/Pluto (8 each)

It is no surprise that the ruling planet that appears the most among personal planets is Venus. Venus is the planet of beauty, love, attraction, romance, relationships, likes, etc. It is considered a benefic planet; it bestows fortunes and brings ease to life and personality.

Venus rules Taurus (5) and Libra (6). Taurean beauty tends to have strong, sturdy features that look like they’re all in the “right” place on the face (ex: Erika Linder has Sun/Mercury in Taurus; Olivia Hussey has Mercury/Mars in Taurus). They can look striking but not in an unconventional way, and they usually have good bone structure.

Libran beauty is harmonious; all their facial features look well-balanced on the face. Their faces usually look fresh, smooth, and “open.” Nothing is placed together too close, and the forehead tends to be wider and rounder. (ex: Monica Bellucci has Sun in Libra; Han Ga In has Mars in Libra; Duckie Thot has Sun/Moon/Mercury in Libra)

Jupiter is another benefic planet that expands what it touches. It is associated with luck, fortune, growth, and things that reach far and wide (religion, higher education, travel, business, law, etc.) Jupiter is the modern ruler of Sagittarius. Sagittarius people tend to attract big things in life, whether money, luck, or just general opportunities. They tend to live life and see life through a large, optimistic lens where everything is an opportunity.

Below you’ll see how Jupiter/Sagittarius themes have played out in some of these women’s lives. These are details in each person’s life that are well-known to the public.

Sagittarius/Jupiter themes in her life include: studying classical dance and music in her youth, initially wanting to pursue a career in medicine or architecture [study, higher education], winning a Ford supermodel contest, winning the title of Miss World in 1994 [chance, opportunity]

Jennifer Connelly has Sun in Sagittarius. Sagittarius/Jupiter themes in her life include: attending Yale University to study English literature, transferring to Stanford University for drama [higher education]

Duckie Thot has Mars in Sagittarius. Sagittarius/Jupiter themes in her life include: coming in 3rd place on Australia’s Next Top Model [chance, opportunity]

Lee Young Ae has Venus/Mars in Sagittarius. Sagittarius/Jupiter (also Aquarius) themes in her life include: going to other countries as a goodwill ambassador for different organizations like UNICEF [travel, expanding horizons], being generous with her donations to various causes [generosity]

Anok Yai has Sun/Mercury in Sagittarius. Sagittarius/Jupiter themes in her life include: studying biochemistry at Plymouth State University [higher education], wanting to become a doctor, was discovered by chance at a Howard University homecoming when a photographer took her picture and posted it on Instagram [chance, luck], she was soon scouted by modeling agencies

Pluto rules Scorpio. Scorpio is a passionate, deep, transformative sign. These people tend to be drawn to intensity and exude intensity themselves too. And others are drawn into their real but guarded nature. They are stubborn, honest, and loyal. In a more negative light, they can be controlling and vindictive. Sometimes, a strong pluto placement or even just personal planets in Scorpio can mean run-ins with the law at one point in life and/or amassing a large following or wealth and prestige.

Aishwarya Rai has Sun/Mercury in Scorpio. She is very loyal to her family and lived with them until she married into one of the most renowned, if not the most renowned, Bollywood Hindi film families, the Bachchans.

Jennifer Connelly has Venus/Mars in Scorpio. Appearance-wise, she has darker features with her dark hair and brows. This is contrasted with her lighter eyes. Her face exudes a certain resoluteness that I see in many Scorpios.

Winona Ryder has Sun/Mercury/Venus in Scorpio. Like Jennifer Connelly, she has darker features that contrast against her pale skin tone. In 2001, she was arrested for shoplifting and was clinically depressed at the time. She was also given drugs by a quack doctor, who had his license revoked.

Duckie Thot has Venus in Scorpio. She’s expressed a strong desire to never forget her South Sudanese roots and seems passionate about praying and being aware of where and under what circumstances her family came from.

Pluto (47)

North Node (28)
Chiron is the most aspected planet. This was also the case in the Billionaire “study”. Chiron is known as the wounded healer, someone who healed others but could not heal himself. Chiron did not fall into a dark spiral because he could not heal himself. Instead, he studied and practiced harder and became a better healer.

I do not think Chiron is directly related to beauty, but it shows sophistication, hard work, and improvement. It also shows hurt in life but having the resources to overcome it, if willing. This could be physical, emotional, mental, etc. pain.

I am also getting imperfectly perfect or perfect-but-with-that-ONE-downfall vibes from Chiron. I say this because Chiron rose above his station as a highly talented and educated centaur, but still, life could not be “perfect” due to his untreatable wound. Not perfect, but perhaps still fulfilling.

In the case of beautiful celebrities, models, (and billionaires), Chiron could point to someone who strives to make life better and rise above their station. They want to touch other people’s lives, and they work hard to reach their own dreams. They could experience deep hurt but take steps to heal themselves.

MOST COMMON ASPECTS:

Uranus-Chiron (10/11), specifically Uranus opposite Chiron

This aspect is generational and shows an affinity for revolution and a desire to be free from societal pain.

[Iman, Aishwarya Rai, Monica Bellucci, Erika Linder, Olivia Hussey, Jennifer Connelly, Winona Ryder, Lee Young Ae] The only one who does not have this aspect is Duckie Thot.

Venus-Saturn (9/11)

For physical appearance, Venus-Saturn aspects have been touted as the aspect of models since Saturn makes Venus more angular, which means it gives structure to the face and body. Saturn can also make the body thinner, whereas Jupiter makes the body more voluptuous. Because the 10th house is the house of Saturn, these people could also make a career out of Venus-related things.

Venus-Saturn is known to make a person take love or beauty seriously. They are loyal in relationships and more of the slow burn types. Note that several of these Venus-Saturn women have been popularly linked to one person with whom they’ve been in a relationship for many years even if they’re now divorced or if she’s been in other relationships before/after:

Iman with David Bowie, Aishwarya with Abhishek Bachchan, Monica Bellucci with Vincent Cassel although now divorced, Han Ga In with Yeon Jung Hoon, Erika Linder with Heather Kemensky, Jennifer Connelly with Paul Bettany

[Iman, Aishwarya Rai, Monica Bellucci, Han Ga In, Erika Linder, Olivia Hussey, Jennifer Connelly, Duckie Thot, Anok Yai] The only ones without this aspect are Winona Ryder and Lee Young Ae.

Jupiter-Chiron (9/11)

This aspect shows a desire for improvement and learning through life lessons. There is a desire for enlightenment and expansion. But there may also be blockages the person will have to work through.

[Iman, Aishwarya Rai, Monica Bellucci, Han Ga In, Erika Linder, Olivia Hussey, Winona Ryder, Lee Young Ae, Anok Yai] The only ones without this aspect are Jennifer Connelly and Duckie Thot.

Sun-Mars (8/11)

Mars is a hard-to-ignore planet because it is confident, active, and energetic. Mars is a masculine planet, and so is the Sun. Sun-Mars people have a masculine edge to their personality and/or their appearance. What you see is what you get energy. Could be a little self-centered at times.

[Iman, Aishwarya Rai, Monica Bellucci, Han Ga In, Erika Linder, Olivia Hussey, Winona Ryder, Lee Young Ae] The only ones without this aspect are Jennifer Connelly, Duckie Thot, and Anok Yai.

In contrast, Jennifer Connelly has staid, controlled, internalized energy (Sun opposite Moon, square Pluto). Duckie Thot has a lighter, distant, and rebellious energy (Sun square Uranus/Neptune). Anok Yai has youthful, childlike, stimulating energy (Sun conjunct Mercury).

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS:

Something I found very interesting was that there were zero Sun-Venus aspects. This is typically an aspect astrologers and astrology fans deem a beauty aspect. I believe Sun-Venus can be a beauty indicator, but maybe it is not the type of beauty I am initially attracted to. I have Sun conjunct Mars in my chart, so perhaps that is why I find Sun-Mars people more attractive. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I cannot say that these aspects and placements guarantee physical beauty. But it is interesting to see what pops up frequently. While doing these “studies,” I find more commonalities in personality, vibes/energies, or life events rather than physical attributes.

Asteroid Highlight: King Midas and gold asteroids
Greed, impulsiveness, and absolving regret
image

1981, 4955, 4423, 16452

King Midas extends his hospitality to a lost and drunk satyr named Silenus, mentor of Dionysus. Grateful for Midas’s hospitality, Dionysus offers King Midas a wish.

Midas wishes that everything he touches be turned to gold, and his wish is granted.

He touches trees and flowers that turn to gold. Feeling blessed, he has his servants set out a feast for him. But he soon realizes he cannot eat or drink anything without it turning to gold. Midas sees that his wish is actually a curse.

When Midas’s daughter comes to him, his touch turns her into a gold statue. He prays to Dionysus to help him, and Dionysus tells Midas to wash anything he wants to return to its natural state in the Pactolus river.

Midas follows Dionysus’s instructions, and gold flows from his hands into the sand when he touches the waters of the Pactolus. And this is why the Pactolus river has a high content of gold.

If Midas 1981 is prominent in your chart, and especially if it aspects gold asteroids like Gold 4955, Golden 4423, and Goldfinger 16452, this can mean that the story of the Midas Touch is relevant to your life in some way.

Either you have a knack for turning things into something valuable and have a chance of becoming wealthy, or the themes of wealth, greed, and regret could be prominent in life. Perhaps being too impulsive and not thinking things through. Or becoming too greedy and not seeing what life is really about. Whatever the lesson is, it can also mean that any regrets can eventually be resolved when you realize your mistakes and take the right steps.

Examples (everything these people do is usually wowing to the public):

Jeff Bezos

Midas conjunct Saturn (ruler of his Sun)
Midas square Goldfinger
Bill Gates

Midas conjunct Uranus
Midas opposite Chiron
Midas trine Gold
Midas sesquiquadrate Goldfinger
Steve Jobs

Midas conjunct Mars
Midas opposite Neptune (ruler of his Sun)
Rihanna

Midas conjunct Jupiter (traditional ruler of her Sun)
Midas opposite Gold
Midas trine Goldfinger

In a private meeting with the Italian Bishops' Council on May 20th, focused on new guidelines for admissions to seminaries, Pope Francis used an Italian slur for homosexuals, saying seminaries already had an air of frociaggine, roughly translating to "faggotness." O

With the spotlighting Sun we see asteroid Vaticana (for the Vatican), as well as asteroids Antinous and Dionysus, both associated with gays (as the lover of Roman Emperor Hadrian and a gender-fluid, crossdressing Greek god, respectively), focusing attention on papal attitudes about homosexuality. The Pope's personal involvement is seen as asteroid Francis on the fulcrum of a T-Square with Uranus and asteroid Sappho, suggesting something controversial or shocking (Uranus) involving gays (Sappho, named for an ancient Greek lesbian poet).

* * *

As well, a glance at the Pope's birth chart suggests there may be more than vestments in the Vatican closets. With the Sun conjunct asteroid Eros (Hellenistic patron of homosexual unions) and opposed asteroid Dionysus, and asteroid Sappho exactly squared Venus (romance & attraction), plus two more prominently placed gay markers, the pope's slur may have been simply the familiarity expressed by many gay men who use traditional homosexual slurs amongst themselves without malice.

Francis is, after all, a gender-neutral name.
MEGS NATAL ASTEROIDS

SUN conjunct LACHESIS & HEBE

VENUS conjunct KLOTHO

She has no less than TWO FATED asteroids!!! Lachesis and Klotho

HEBE

Hebe type of woman, as she is never quite satisfied in her life with her partner, regardless of how strong or secure. She also represents parents who cheat and have rage against each other, wounding the sensitive parts of the inner child. This can turn into the wife who is blind to her husbands demands as he never lives up to them himself but expects a lot of perfection from her.

Leo Hebe: A warning of unbalance in helping/serving others and receiving help. Can take a lot of pride in their domestic affairs. During this time period people might be shaming and promoting different domestic themes hard. Abuse comes in forms of authority, shame, public sphere, and has a focus on ego or expression. Could even indicate bullying, both the victim or the bully. Challenging aspect to Mars can create a lot of aggression and this bullying phenomenon.

TALOS
Symbolism and Interpretation:
Guardian Energy: Talos’s role as a guardian aligns with themes of protection, vigilance, and defending boundaries.
Vigilant Defense: In an astrological context, Talos may symbolize our need to protect ourselves, our boundaries, and our inner sanctuaries.
Automaton and Precision: Talos’s mechanical nature suggests a focus on precision, duty, and mechanical efficiency.
Vulnerability and Boundaries: Consider how Talos’s presence in your birth chart relates to your sense of vulnerability and the boundaries you set.

Talos serves as a reminder to protect what matters most and to be vigilant in safeguarding our inner world.
In summary, Talos invites us to be both guardians and gatekeepers, defending our inner sanctuaries and maintaining our boundaries.
Its influence may be subtle but can offer valuable insights into our protective instincts.

The asteroid Hephaestus will signal forgiveness, craft, cunning and skill in your natal chart. It is the place where you blaze a trail and rise to create your destiny – despite rejection – despite emotional and physical difficulties. It is where your life is forged, hammered and remade.

Hanuman is the son of Anjana and Kesari and is also considered as the son of the wind-god Vayu, who according to several stories, played a role in his birth.

His mother Anjana was an apsara (celestial nymph) who was born on earth as a female monkey due to a curse. The curse only lifted only after giving birth to Hanuman, who was born with a monkey’s face.

Birth and Childhood

A young Hanuman leaping to catch the sun
As a child, Hanuman was extremely mischievous and possessed supernatural powers, thanks to his divine origins.

One famous story from his childhood includes when he mistook the sun for a ripe fruit and leapt to catch it. Indra, the king of the gods, struck him with his thunderbolt, injuring his jaw (hanu in Sanskrit), which led to his name, Hanuman.

Role in the Ramayana
Hanuman's most notable exploits are documented in the Ramayana, where he plays a major role in helping Rama (the prince of Ayodhya, and a Vishnu Avatar) in his quest to rescue his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana, who had abducted her.

Key episodes involving Hanuman include:

The Search for Sita: Hanuman leaps across the ocean to Lanka (modern-day Sri Lanka) where Sita was held captive. There, he encounters Sita, reassures her, and offers to carry her back. However, Sita refuses, preferring to have Rama come and rescue her, to uphold her honor and his.

Burning Lanka: After meeting Sita, Hanuman allows himself to be captured by Ravana's forces. His tail is set on fire, but he uses this to his advantage to escape and set Lanka ablaze. He then returns to Rama with the news of Sita's location.

The Battle in Lanka: During the great battle between Rama and Ravana, Hanuman plays a crucial role, using his powers to help Rama's army. In one significant act, when Lakshmana (Rama's brother) is critically injured, Hanuman flies to the Himalayas to fetch a life-saving herb. When he cannot identify the specific herb, he brings the entire mountain back to the battlefield.

Powers and Attributes

Hanuman is known for his strength, speed, agility, and his ability to transform into giant forms or shrink to the size of a small insect.

He is also a devout practitioner of Dharma (cosmic law and order) and a celibate with the powers of immortality.

You’ll often find his image in taxi cabs in India as a protective talisman of strength.

Legacy

Hanuman with a mace
Hanuman is a symbol of devotion and loyalty. His images and idols often depict him as a muscly man with the face of a monkey, typically with a mace and a mountain in his hands, symbolizing his strength and exploits during the Ramayana.

In Jyotish (Vedic astrology), Hanuman is associated with Mars and Saturn.
Sixty years ago today, on February 9, 1964, the global music industry was forever changed when a gaggle of four mop-haired Brits played and sang on “The Ed Sullivan Show” in New York City, to an audience of 73 million, almost a third of the US population. I’m speaking of course of The Beatles, in their premiere US performance. The Fab Four would only remain together for another six years, but in that time, they radically altered the landscape of popular music, inspiring legions of up-and-coming Beatles wannabes.

Of course the skies reflected this tectonic shift (can you doubt it?), and with asteroids named for each band member and The Beatles as a group, this research was just a tiptoe through the tulips (oops! That’s Tiny Tim!).

Let’s start with asteroid Beatles 8749. It’s embedded at station from 17 Libra, trine the Sun at 20 Aquarius and opposed Jupiter at 16 Aries, a perfect recipe for giving the group (Beatles) increased (Jupiter) exposure and visibility (Sun), exponentially enhancing their burgeoning celebrity and fame (also Jupiter). Bodies at station have a far greater impact than normal, and represent major turning points for the individuals or entities with which they are linked. Sullivan was the venue, the Holy Grail, for those seeking to raise a national profile, one of the most popular TV shows of its day. And Beatles’ stationary stance says it all – we’re here, we’re under your skin, we’re not going anywhere!

The dynamics of the day supported The Beatles’ quest for superstardom. That 20 Aquarius Sun is backed up by Mars at 21 Aquarius and Saturn at 24 Aquarius, all squared Neptune at 17 Scorpio. This fuels vast amounts of energy (Mars) into the careers (Saturn) of these musicians (Neptune), creating the rabid fanaticism of a cultlike following (Neptune), with a strong dose of sexual magnetism thrown in (Mars). Exact with Neptune is asteroid Sullivan 15133, for the man who made it all possible.

For the 8 PM EST start time of the show, asteroid Singer 10698 at 19 Sagittarius conjoins the 21 Sag IC, giving it angular force and dynamism, and squares Pluto at 13 Virgo, for the powerful, transformative, earthshaking “new sound” the group embodied. Pluto is just within orb of the 22 Virgo Ascendant – folks were seeing a whole new face (Ascendant) for music, and they liked it!

The eponymous asteroids for the band members all show well, though perhaps not as prominently as one might expect, suggesting that to some extent, their individuality was subsumed within the context of the group. John Lennon and Paul McCartney were the creative core of the band, and its leading frontmen; asteroid Lennon 4147 at 27 Aries is sesquiquadrate Pluto at 13 Virgo, bursting with power and transformative energy, eager to break down the old and birth something new. Asteroid McCartney 4148 at 0 Aries conjoins popular entertainer Venus at 28 Pisces and the Descendant at 22 Pisces, also sesquiquadrate musical Neptune at 17 Scorpio, and squared the 9 Capricorn Moon, important for connecting with the public.

Conjoined that Moon is asteroid Starr 4150 at 7 Capricorn, for drummer Ringo Starr, while asteroid Harrison 4149 at 3 Pisces, for lead guitarist George Harrison, lies just within orb of Saturn at 24 Aquarius and semisquare Jupiter at 16 Aries. Lennon and McCartney were the main songwriters for the group, reflected as asteroid Lennon squared Mercury (writing, lyrics) at 28 Capricorn, and asteroid McCartney in sextile.

Even PNAs (Personal-Named Asteroids) not specific to the group played a part, with asteroid Paul 3525 at 21 Aquarius conjunct the Sun and asteroid Johney 90308 at 8 Capricorn conjunct the Moon, no more than appropriate for the two Leading Lights of The Beatles. Asteroid George 3854 exactly conjoins Venus at 28 Pisces; Ringo Starr’s birth name is Richard Starkey, with asteroid Richard 3972 at 3 Cancer, opposed the Moon, and asteroid Stark 31442 at 0 Taurus, trined it.

It was a moment fraught with potential, fated to come to fruition by asteroid Karma 3811 at 21 Scorpio, conjunct Neptune and asteroid Sullivan, semisquare asteroid Johney, squared asteroid Paul, trine asteroid George and sesquiquadrate asteroid Richard. The world would never be the same.

PLUTO-SEDNA M/PT

In mundane astrology, Pluto signifies the mob psychology and power of the MASSES. It has to do with regeneration and transformation and if in favorable aspect shows where improvements and better organization can come about. Pluto often shows where there are complications though and if afflicted may indicate sociological upheavals, power struggles, terrorism or corruption1.

Sedna is a dwarf planet beyond Pluto connected with how we transmute and emotionally move through the depths of our emotional world2. In mythology, Sedna is an Intuit Goddess who rules the seas, oceans, and marine life, similar to Neptune, but she dives into the underworlds of what resides within our emotional needs2.

When Pluto conjuncts Sedna, it could signify a time of intense transformation and change that dives deep into the emotional and psychological roots of society. This could lead to significant shifts in societal structures and norms, potentially leading to upheavals and power struggles. However, it could also provide opportunities for profound healing and regeneration at a societal level. Please note that the interpretation can vary based on other aspects in the chart.

=====================================================================================

Transformation and Evolution: Pluto represents transformation, power, and deep psychological processes. Sedna, known as the Goddess of the Underworld, is associated with emotional healing and spiritual growth. When these two celestial bodies are conjunct, it can indicate a period of intense transformation and evolution in one's life.

Uncovering Hidden Truths: Pluto's influence combined with Sedna's energy can bring to light hidden truths and deep-seated emotions. This conjunction may lead to a profound exploration of the subconscious mind, allowing for the release and healing of buried emotions and past traumas.

Intuitive and Psychic Abilities: Sedna is associated with intuition and psychic abilities. When conjunct with Pluto, it can enhance one's intuitive powers and provide a deeper understanding of the unseen realms. This conjunction may awaken or strengthen psychic abilities, leading to a greater connection with the spiritual realm.

Healing and Rebirth: The conjunction of Pluto and Sedna can signify a period of healing and rebirth. It may bring about a profound emotional and spiritual transformation, allowing for the release of old patterns and the emergence of a new, empowered self.

Environmental and Ecological Awareness: Sedna is also associated with environmental and ecological issues. When conjunct with Pluto, it can indicate a heightened awareness and concern for the well-being of the planet. This conjunction may inspire individuals to take action and make positive changes to protect the environment.

==========================================================================

FACTS! FACTS! FACTS! Sedna’s shifts between Taurus and Gemini ask what’s real in the world. Are the new things appearing to be real valid? Do they offer value? She wants to know how one can know if cyber currency can be trusted. She asks if regional banks can hold their own. She wonders what the far-reaching impacts of AI will be. She absolutely knows that if one pretends to be what one is not or more than one is and if one engages the illusion, be prepared to adjust in a moment’s notice to restore and preserve the quality conditions of life one has long intended and sought to create.

ORCUS

Nov. 5th, 2023 03:31 pm
When Mercury is conjunct Orcus in astrology, it signifies a significant influence on communication, thought processes, and mental focus. Here's what it generally indicates:

Depth and Intensity: Orcus represents deep, transformative energies and hidden truths. When conjunct Mercury, it suggests that your thoughts, ideas, and communication style may carry a profound and intense nature. You might be drawn towards exploring the hidden aspects of life and seeking deeper meaning in your interactions.

Investigation and Research: This alignment can enhance your investigative abilities and analytical skills. It can be beneficial for research, problem-solving, and uncovering hidden information or secrets. You may have a talent for delving into complex subjects and bringing clarity to intricate matters.

Psychological Understanding: Mercury conjunct Orcus can indicate a heightened interest in psychology, the workings of the mind, and the subconscious. It may facilitate introspection and self-analysis, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of your own psyche and the motivations behind your thoughts and communication patterns.

Intuition and Perception: This conjunction can enhance your intuitive abilities and sharpen your perception. You may have a knack for sensing underlying dynamics in conversations and picking up on subtle cues that others might miss. Trusting your gut instincts and paying attention to nonverbal communication can be particularly important with this aspect.

Communicating Hidden Truths: Mercury conjunct Orcus can bring forth a talent for communicating profound or taboo subjects. You may have a gift for expressing complex ideas, deep emotions, or sensitive topics in a way that resonates with others. Your WORDS may carry transformative power and can potentially inspire others to explore their own depths.

Orcus in astrology – be who you really are or imprison yourself in the eternal “I woulda and I shoulda”…

Orcus in astrology, or more correctly Orcus-Vanth, as it is a binary Plutino, is about: Self-integrity issues (to what extent do we really live our live the way we dreamed it?) – in relation to being imprisoned or feeling free; recording something or wanting to secure something; being very steadfast; being compelling and resolute, in terms of compliance with contracts, intentions, promises; being imprisoned; imprisonment; an extremely desolate feeling either turning into great cruelty or learning to parry it with (gallows) humor; a sharp mind, capable of disruptive statements; torture; death and death symbolism.

Orcus, I’ve been looking at this dude for awhile. He makes a prominent showing in the most notorious events in world history, the Atomic bomb test, the atomic bomb drop over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. All of these events happened close together, and during this period the most obviously sinister thing is the conjunction of Uranus with Orcus. Why do I say this? Well, Orcus is the darkest of dark lord of the underworld, so scary and dark that the ancients dare not speak his name. We think of Pluto as the dude, but he also rules fun stuff like money, wealth and power. Pluto may reign over Hades, but Orcus judges the dead, he decides whether ones eternal soul gets to stay eternal. He is the darkest of dark, guarding the entrance (and exit) of the underworld, keeping souls stuck there. He was also known as the punisher of oaths and agreements where individuals would be subject to his wrath in the underworld. Many of the demonic, horned devil images we think of as Satan, may actually be traced to him. He was often depicted as a half-demon, half-human monster.

Share

So overall, not too good.

If Pluto is dark than Orcus is 50 shades darker. If you’ve watched or listened to my podcast with Helen from Irish Granny Tarot, you may have heard me talk about him in connection to serial killers. I have seen tight conjunctions to stelliums and singular planets or nodes in psychopathic people’s charts. If you’ve heard the show or watched it on YouTube, you know I go on about the nodes a lot in regard to psychopaths, but Orcus is turning out to be another key player. I thought perhaps Ixion would be a key to darkness and psychopathy, and he is, he also plays a starring role in those charts and “evil” people’s natal charts, but Orcus was one that snuck up on me.

Upgrade to paid

So Orcus in your natal chart and in other people’s natal charts is the punisher, the dark side of power, the propensity for cruelty and spite or where and how or who the natal chart holder will want to punish. If it is in the 7th than the individual will punish and project their cruelty on others, in the first on themselves, in the fourth on their family, etc. So consider your chart and where your Orcus is, the sign will give you the nature of how it functions, in Aries it will be aggressive straightforward, in Cancer it will be manipulative.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In astrology, Mercury conjunct Orcus is an interesting aspect that can have different interpretations depending on the astrologer. According to 1, Orcus is a binary Plutino that is associated with self-integrity issues, imprisonment, steadfastness, and death symbolism. Mercury, on the other hand, is associated with communication, intellect, and mental agility 23.

Therefore, Mercury conjunct Orcus could signify a person who is highly intelligent and has a sharp mind capable of making disruptive statements. They could also be very steadfast and resolute in their compliance with contracts, intentions, and promises. However, they may also struggle with self-integrity issues and feel imprisoned in their own thoughts or beliefs.

Pholus

Eris and the Centaurs:
The Tucson Shootings
When a major world event happens,
I cast the chart and look for which minor
planets are prominent. I use the basic
tests for prominence — for example, if
the point is angular or if it’s making a
conjunction, square, or opposition to
the Sun, Moon, or a planet that thematically factors into the situation. When
the Tucson shootings happened in early
2011, the exact time of the incident was
released by authorities, and I cast the
chart. (See Chart 3, facing page.
At the moment of the shootings
(which happened rapidly), Pholus
was conjunct the Midheaven within less
than one degree. Pholus, the second discovered Centaur, has among its
themes the runaway reaction or the
uncontrolled release of energy. It is a
powerful precipitator. Where Pholus
is involved, things proceed rapidly —
unlike with his cousin Chiron. German
minor planet specialist Robert von
Heeren described Pholus as the “small
cause with the big effect.” Pholus is currently a long-term visitor to Sagittarius,
a fiery, reactive sign.

Jared Lee Loughner’s walking up to
a crowd of peaceful people and opening
fire with a semi-automatic handgun had
the mark of Pholus in the worst sense
of the concept. The crowd included a
prominent congresswoman, U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords, with whom
he was obsessed; one theme of Pholus is how we deal with famous people
when we encounter them personally.
Pholus was on the cusp of the 10th, a
house associated with government and
authority.

Pholus and Lilith are two minor astrological factors that can have a significant impact on the collective psyche and the world events. In mundane astrology, which is the branch of astrology that studies the horoscopes of nations, cities, or other entities, a conjunction of Pholus and Lilith can indicate a period of intense and radical changes, challenges, and transformations1.

Pholus is a centaur planet that represents the energy of the unexpected, the uncontrollable, and the catalyst. It is associated with sudden events that have a domino effect, revealing hidden truths and consequences. It also relates to issues of responsibility, accountability, and ethics2. Lilith is a hypothetical point that represents the dark, primal, and often repressed aspects of our nature. It is associated with rebellion, independence, sexuality, and power. It also relates to issues of oppression, marginalization, and liberation3.

When Pholus and Lilith are conjunct in mundane astrology, they create a powerful and complex energy that invites us to explore the hidden and shadowy aspects of our collective psyche and our relationship with the world. They suggest that we have a strong connection to the unconscious and the instinctual, and that we can uncover deep truths and secrets that may have been repressed or denied. They also challenge us to embrace our uniqueness and our dark side, and to integrate them into our collective identity and our life. This aspect can bring about profound transformations and revelations, but also requires careful attention and honesty. It can help us grow as a global community, but also expose us to fears and inner demons that need to be faced and healed2.

Some possible themes or events that can manifest when Pholus and Lilith are conjunct in mundane astrology are:

Unexpected and radical changes in the political, social, economic, or cultural spheres that challenge the status quo and reveal hidden agendas or corruption2.
A rise of movements or groups that demand justice, freedom, equality, or recognition for themselves or others who have been oppressed or marginalized3.
A surge of creativity, innovation, or originality in various fields or domains that express the uniqueness and diversity of the collective spirit3.
A confrontation or conflict between law and conscience, or between tradition and innovation, that tests our values and ethics2.
A discovery or disclosure of secrets or scandals that shock or enlighten the public opinion2.
A heightened awareness or expression of sexuality, sensuality, or eroticism that challenges the norms or taboos of society3.
A manifestation or release of fears, anger, resentment, or violence that need to be acknowledged and healed3.
The Pholus-Lilith conjunction is a rare and powerful astrological event that can have a lasting impact on our collective destiny. It urges us to ask ourselves: What deep desires and fears are emerging within us? How can we navigate the uncharted territories of our collective psyche together? How can we honor and embrace our own uniqueness and unconventional nature? How can we use our connection to the shadowy depths of our collective mind to bring about healing and transformation within ourselves and others?

If your natal Apollo aspects Quaoar, it may indicate that you have a strong creative and spiritual potential that can manifest in different ways, depending on the type and quality of the aspect. For example:

If your natal Apollo is conjunct Quaoar, you may have a powerful intuition and a connection with the source of all creation. You may be able to tap into the void and bring forth original and innovative ideas that can transform yourself and the world around you. You may also have a strong sense of purpose and destiny, and a desire to express your unique vision through art, music, or other forms of creativity12
If your natal Apollo is sextile or trine Quaoar, you may have a harmonious and supportive relationship with your creative and spiritual self. You may be able to access your intuition and inspiration easily, and use them to enhance your artistic or intellectual endeavors. You may also have a positive and optimistic outlook on life, and a faith in the divine order of things. You may be able to balance your rational and mystical sides, and integrate them into a coherent whole13
If your natal Apollo is square or opposite Quaoar, you may have a challenging and conflicting relationship with your creative and spiritual self. You may struggle to express your true vision or connect with your higher self, and feel frustrated or blocked by external or internal obstacles. You may also have doubts or fears about your abilities or your path, and question the meaning or value of your creations. You may need to overcome some resistance or limitations, and learn to trust your intuition and follow your passion13
I hope this helps you to understand more about the astrological meaning of Apollo aspecting Quaoar. If you want to learn more, you can use my search tool to find more information on the web. Just type in your query and I will show you the results. 😊

I was very interested in what Aleksandar had to say. He have several key phrases to describe Quaoar’s action:

After something bad, comes something new, some new expansion of consciousness
A price must be paid, a painful process, before something new happens
A break with something, a break with the past, so that we can move onto something new
Something must die first and then something happens, something new that is beyond death.
Because of the Tongva association, the symbolism of Quaoar may be connected with “creating through dance or rhythmic creations.”

According to some astrologers, when your natal Apollo is conjunct another asteroid in your natal chart, it can indicate a strong affinity or attraction to the qualities or themes associated with that asteroid. For example, if your natal Apollo is conjunct asteroid Eros, you may have a passionate and creative nature that expresses itself through art, music, or romance. If your natal Apollo is conjunct asteroid Psyche, you may have a deep and intuitive understanding of yourself and others, and a desire to explore the mysteries of the soul. If your natal Apollo is conjunct asteroid Juno, you may have a strong sense of commitment and loyalty in your relationships, and a need for harmony and balance12

However, not all astrologers use or interpret asteroids in the same way, and some may not consider them at all. Therefore, you should always use your own judgment and intuition when reading your chart, and not rely solely on the opinions of others. Asteroids are just one of the many factors that can influence your personality and destiny, and they may not be as significant as the planets, signs, houses, and aspects345

I hope this helps you to understand more about Apollo and other asteroids in astrology. If you want to learn more, you can use my search tool to find more information on the web. Just type in your query and I will show you the results. 😊

Asteroid Ate is a symbol of mischief, delusion, foolishness, and ruin in astrology. It represents the tendency to act without thinking, to cause trouble, or to suffer from self-undoing. It can also indicate criminal acts, accidents, lawsuits, or other extreme behaviors that can bring havoc to one’s life12.

According to some astrologers, having asteroid Ate conjunct an angle or planet in the natal chart can show how and when the influence of Ate can be triggered in one’s life. For example, if Ate is conjunct the Ascendant, one may have a reckless or rebellious personality that can lead to conflicts or scandals. If Ate is conjunct the Midheaven, one may have a career that involves risk-taking, justice, or public exposure. Morocco EQ - ARIES INGRESS

Asteroid Ate can also show how one deals with the consequences of their actions, whether they accept responsibility or blame others. Some people may use the energy of Ate to challenge authority, fight for a cause, or create something original and innovative. Others may succumb to the negative aspects of Ate and become self-destructive, dishonest, or violent2.

Asteroid Ate is not a common asteroid to look at in astrology, and its meaning is not well-established. Therefore, it should be used with caution and discretion when interpreting a natal chart. Asteroid Ate can reveal some hidden aspects of one’s personality or destiny, but it should not be taken as a definitive or deterministic factor.

SPHINX

Noted for its treachery, merciless and vicious, the Sphinx would lie in wait for travelers, then pounce upon them and propose a riddle. If the ill-fortuned person could not answer the riddle correctly, he or she was devoured by the Sphinx. Sphinx is also the name given to an Egyptian variant, usually a more benign, protective figure, but noted for its solemn dignity and implacable nature.

Astrologically, Sphinx represents mystery, enigma, inscrutability, and impenetrable thoughts, plans or intentions; questions, missing information or data, the “unknown”; it can also indicate a riddle or puzzle to be solved, or any person or thing which defies understanding, particularly of its motivations, aims or goals.

Ixion is a Trans-Neptunian Object discovered in 2001 by the scientists at Chile’s Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory 1. In Greek mythology, Ixion was a figure who was exiled by the gods as retribution for his wicked deeds. He killed his father and grew lustful with Hera, the queen of gods . In astrology, Ixion represents the concepts of violation, crimes, recklessness, bad karma, and fatal mistakes . The presence of Ixion in your natal chart may be particularly indicative of a lack of concern for the potential outcomes of your actions. In addition, this asteroid could be an indicator of a dangerous drive for power and success that could lead to unethical or even criminal behaviors . It can also represent the destructive actions and negative outcomes that result from attachments to worldly desire . In the birth chart, Ixion can also stand for the second chance that comes with reflecting on your actions and making amends where necessary. As we learn from our mistakes and take responsibility for our actions, we can realize the full potential of Ixion’s placement in our natal chart . However, according to Dwarf Planet Astrology, “there is the danger that second chances will be wasted through the arousal of base passions”. Please note that the meaning of Ixion is not strongly established in the world of astrology nowadays, because the study of asteroids is still at its infant stage 1. I was wondering if you could give me and other's the "run down" on Bacchus 2063-- its been a topic a while back on one of the various threads, but one spacific question:

What is the main difference which seperates Bacchus from Pan?

My intuition tells me that Pan is just natural at what he does, and Bacchus is divinely insane..

Adding to this I noticed a while back in my massive amount of 5th house asteroids an interesting group around my South Node, a conjunction of Bacchus, Terpsichore, and Sappho (with Erato in the 11th degree in Libra in some small influence to the South Node at 14 degrees Libra)

In the chart of one of my musical mentor's Pete Shelley one can find Bacchus and Sappho in close conjunction in his 5th house in Aquarius.. but what does that mean about creativity?

Just wondering about that; I have been very inspired by some of the questions involving the muses, Pan, and Chiron, but sadly the spacifics do not exactly apply, but its nice to read.

Take care all,

Dec 14, 2004 at 10:12pm Post OptionsPost by Kim Falconer on Dec 14, 2004 at 10:12pm
The Romans loved Bacchus! He was considered an ultimate deity, the recipient of highest reverence. The Bacchanalia, his festive celebration, consisted of decadent eating, drinking, sex and total abandon. He knew how to cut loose. After all, he was the son of Zeus and raised by the Nysaean nymphs.

Bacchus, although the Roman name for the Greek Dionysus, is somewhat less “spiritual” in nature than his predecessor. Dionysus was like a dark Christ figure, driven mad by Hera and offering redemption through ecstasy. Bacchus is not dismembered and resurrected as Dionysus, though he is mad as well. Bacchus is more about pleasure through excess than redemption through excess…if that makes sense.

Dionysus showed mortals how to express their passions through mania (passionate outpouring as opposed to clinical madness).

Bacchus showed mortals how to cultivate fruit trees and grapes and turn them into wine. He is a god of vegetation, the vineyard and the wine itself.

How is he different from Pan?

Pan, for one, is much older. He is the great ALL. He is wild in nature and does not cultivate anything save perhaps an extremely healthy libido.

He shows mortals the realm of the senses, taste, touch, smell, sound by exploration in the body—with the body. He is extremely physical.

Bacchus (and Dionysus) are more about escape from the body and the logic of routine into the realm of ecstasy, passion though vision and distortion (drugs and alcohol). I wonder where Timothy Leary’s Bacchus & Dionysus was…

What about creativity? My friend Zane Stein says this:

“There is another side to Bacchus, though. I have also found it prominent in the charts of a number of truly artistic individuals who get totally immersed in their work. These people seem to become one with the creative process, losing themselves and the world while they are painting, composing or whatever.”

Does this make sense?

I get the idea that Pan is an accute awareness to things around, a sensitivity to the environment around one's self, which could be the reason I have such sympathy for animals. (notice my husband has Pan strongly too and our comp has Pan in the first house.)

But that Bacchus thing, interesting and inspired but mostly seen as avoiding the real for the imagined, which is not bad (12 house also seems to be that area) but it can lead to not being aware of the body, and taking the body for granted, (like with those of us who don't eat while inspired or totally deny yourself in a truely work-aholic fashion those things your body cries for.)

I think that is a good point, about Pan’s awareness of the environment. He not only senses everything around him, he participates! It is like the meeting of two animals in the woods. All their senses tell them of the other…and then they fight, or play or mate or hunt…they participate, they connect. I think Pan is something like this. He also taught…mostly sexual arts but also music and divination!

Bacchus and Dionysus may get so caught up in the creation, or the redemption or the spiritual participation that they neglect the body…though the senses are still very much involved. The ecstasy they offer is through the physical experience of pleasure and indulgence so that the body may be transcended, though it starts there.

Thanks for your comments.

Hej everyone!

I just noticed yesterday a transit to my 7th house cusp of asteroid (2063) Bacchus.

How is this acting in relation to my physical nature, and my long term relationships? Well I've been feeling an urge to seek enjoyment in alcohol!!! I have never really been so interested in drinking anything until now..but it was after I had Pernod, I finally discovered a drink I actually liked!

Not that I sought out to get drunk or anything, I was just amazed at the "euphoria" I felt for a short while, and it does tend, just like Neptune, to "desolve" barriers and boarders between people. (needless to say I've still not tried Absinthe yet but I'm trying to locate a good one that is under 60% (thus being legal in this country because anything over that is illegal, but the absinthe itself is totally legal here)

I also get the feeling my nerves are more "tuned toward pleasure" as well.

Just an observation, nothing to be alarmed about, but it is very much a good surprise!

Anyone else notice things happening with a Bacchus transit to a major point in their chart? Just curious.. here :)

take care,

My natal Bacchus is 6 degrees Scorpio, so it looks like Eros is currently conjuncting it. I did spend the weekend with friends out on the town, and there was a good bit of Bacchus juice induldged in by all! The energy was very electric and I felt so alive and especially good.

I am experiencing a lot of energy in that area of my chart right now; as I mentioned in another post, this is the placement of my midheaven.

He is transiting my twefth house now, and squaring my Moon. I'm not sure what the effect is - something to think about.

Bye for now,

I have a question. If my dionysus is in aries and my bacchus is in scorpio, what does it mean? I drink, but not a lot. I've experimented with drugs, but Im clean now. Thanks.

I just realised I had a lot about Bacchus in the Ult.Ast.Book which I bought ages ago and he relates Bacchus to Tantra with the B orgies as an intermediate stage Now that makes sense to me as with Bac/Saph/Mars/etc etc in Gemini in 1st I did a course for some time that I later found out was based on Tantric principles and I took to it like a duck to water It was working in groups and pairs on our bodies in a very meditative non sexual way-on acu points in certain ways and we ended up in total bliss every day Meditation in twos or groups is so much easier to maintain as you do not want to spoil the other person's experience by giving up ...... And by drugs seem so boring and alcohol so crude And sex simply more of the same bliss if one had a partner at the time Hail Bacchus

Thank you for this contribution on Bacchus-

I get the impression this is a key to something about the lacking of will to do drugs ever with me, although I love the altering perceptions of sex between "commited parties", when it works out correctly, it is the divine bliss needed to get though crisis, perhaps an escapist crutch but still, all about a certain energy tapped into which is to be "shared". (I have Bacchus conjunct Sappho, and Terpsicore as well as the south node of the moon in the 5th house)... it is certainly true that I can see how I can take my creative energies and give them away to someone else to avoid the need for painting, but without a close partnership, it turns explosive, and almost into a mania where I'm painting in the middle of the night, not sleeping, not eating, and totally neglecting myself.

I think though I can say it is a combination of the Neptune(conjunct Iccarus) in the 6th with a 6th house ruled by Pluto that doubles up on this theme, the sacrifice of the body for "work" or "intensive physical/emotional/spiritual/sexual needs" (my Pluto is conjunct the Moon in the 4th house)

Bacchus seems to focus its needs toward 5th house areas, and I know one other person who has the Bacchus/Sappho combination in the 5th and he is pretty much known for not only his creativity, but a certain joyful drinking :o; I hope that he uses that energy to a better purpose rather than destroying his health, which he must do on those long tours of playing shows and drinking heavily EVERY night.

Thanks for the insights that everyone has come up with on this thread-

So interesting Sven, I do wonder how BACCHUS might relate to alcohol abstinence. I have always had a severe adversion to alcohol and drugs of any kind. The last time I tasted alcohol was during the champagne toast at my wedding 15 years ago. I have also never done any drugs, not even marijuana, despite a stint of living in Santa Cruz California where drugs were plentiful and much of the good company under the influence of something. I always joked to my non and using friends that my personality was completely out of control, wacky and intense enough without additional influences.

I checked my BACCHUS, Humorously enough, it is in my 8th House and YES!!! tightly oppsing my 2nd house Capricorn Saturn & Vesta! Bacchus is 17 Cancer; Saturn and Vesta are 17 Capricorn and POF is 22 Cap. I aslo had a secret fear that alcohol and drug would remove my good girl Catholic virgin patina. Well there you have it!

Yeah I have been totally (up until my 26th birthday) alcohol-free and I can still only count the numbers of times I've been "drunk" on one hand, although I thought last year that was going to change. Strangely enough it was a transit from Bacchus that gave me an urge to try Abstithe, and it was very good.

I still don't really drink though, I think I had a glass of wine with my husband when he opened a bottle but that was last August.

Sometimes I have a taste for it, and sometimes I don't but I can be escapist without alcohol and that is probably the reason why I don't do it much.. and I recall the first time I did have 3 glasses of Champange at a wedding in Chicago, it was the very first time I felt "drunk" and then I knew it, but my friends said, "pish, spending money on alcohol for you is a waste because you are the very same as if you are drunk.." :P

Even still I shared a glass of Champange with my favorite band :)

oh well.
