and MISTIC RECTANGLE

owever, some interpretations do acknowledge potential downsides or challenges that could align with your view of it feeling negative or like a "trap door":Astrologer Jamie Partridge (Astrology King) describes it as creating a calm, balanced exterior that masks inner tension from the oppositions. This can lead to bottled-up pressure, a tendency toward black-and-white thinking, extremes (e.g., harmonious vs. tense), or getting stuck in a "perpetual loop" where decisions feel unnecessary because life "revolves" anyway. If the inner conflicts aren't addressed, it may result in mental confusion, brooding, or even a breakdown followed by transformation—potentially evoking a sense of hidden instability or a sudden "drop" if the facade cracks.
Certain esoteric or occult-focused views refer to specific mystic rectangles (especially those in earth/water signs) as "Lucifer's Rectangle," associating it with occult figures like Aleister Crowley and implying darker, tempting, or shadowy connotations—though this is contrasted with positive examples like the Dalai Lama's chart.
In online discussions (e.g., forums, Reddit, X/Twitter), some individuals with this pattern in their charts describe it as part of a "challenging" configuration, especially when combined with squares or other tensions, or express surprise that others don't see it as potentially difficult.

Overall, explicit views calling it "quite negative" or a outright "trap door" are uncommon—the pattern's harmonious aspects tend to dominate interpretations. But the acknowledged risks of masked tension, complacency in the ease of the blue aspects, or unresolved polarities building to a crisis do provide room for the kind of caution you're describing. If your experience feels more negative, it could depend heavily on the specific planets, signs, houses, and other chart factors involved.
Jupiter Retrograde, Acronychal Rising, and the Recovery of Planetary Meaning
Doctor H

In recent work on Jupiter-in-Cancer horoscopes, a consistent pattern has emerged: when Jupiter is retrograde in Cancer, it often behaves as though it were placed in Capricorn. Instead of expressing care, nurturance, or emotional belonging, Jupiter under these conditions tends to operate through restraint, moral judgment, institutional authority, and social discipline. The planet’s beneficence is not absent, but filtered through structure rather than sympathy.

This dynamic begins to shift as the Sun moves into Capricorn and approaches opposition with Jupiter. At this point we enter an often-overlooked phase of planetary motion: acronychal rising.

==============================

Acronychal Rising and the Recovery of Planetary Visibility

In Babylonian astronomy, acronychal rising marked the moment when a planet, previously lost in the Sun’s glare, became visible again in the evening sky. It is not the moment of opposition itself, but occurs shortly after it, once the planet rises early enough to be seen after sunset.

This distinction matters. At exact opposition, the planet rises at the same moment the Sun sets and is effectively invisible, sitting on the horizon in twilight. Only when the planet begins to rise before sunset does it re-enter visibility and regain what the Babylonians understood as operative power.

Visibility, for them, was agency.

Acronychal rising therefore marks not abstraction, but reappearance — a return of planetary presence to the human field of vision. This produces a narrow but potent interval in which the planet’s essential nature becomes briefly legible before fading once more.

Retrograde Motion and the Temporary Reversal of Meaning

Seen through this lens, a retrograde superior planet does not merely weaken or malfunction. Instead, it moves through a structured sequence:

Inversion — the planet expresses itself through the logic of its opposite sign.

Revelation — at acronychal rising, the planet briefly reasserts its native meaning.

Withdrawal — following this moment, the planet recedes again until its direct station restores coherence.

Testing the Model: Three Horoscopes

This framework will be tested through three horoscopes, introduced sequentially in the natal database over the coming weeks.

First: J. D. Salinger (December 31)

Salinger’s chart places Jupiter in Cancer at opposition. This is the fulcrum of the entire cycle — the moment of maximum confrontation. Jupiter’s Cancerian values emerge not gently but polemically. Salinger’s rejection of ambition, careerism, and institutional success reflects a direct confrontation with Jupiter-in-Capricorn ideals. His work elevates childhood innocence, emotional sincerity, and moral refuge, casting adult society as spiritually hollow. This is Jupiter in Cancer asserting itself through opposition rather than accommodation.

Next: Benjamin Franklin (January 7)

Franklin represents the phase of acronychal rising itself. Here, Jupiter has just returned to visibility. Its beneficence becomes public, constructive, and socially productive. Care, improvement, and moral responsibility are no longer opposed to structure but embedded within it. Franklin’s synthesis of civic virtue, institutional design, and moral instruction exemplifies Jupiter in Cancer functioning openly and coherently within the world.

Finally: Janis Joplin (January 14)

Joplin belongs to the phase after acronychal rising. Jupiter remains visible but is receding from its maximum brightness which occurs at opposition. Emotional openness and vulnerability are still present, but the coherence that sustains them is weakening.

A Note on the “Missing” Phase

There is, finally, a symmetrical counterpart to acronychal rising: the last morning visibility of a superior planet just before it disappears into the Sun’s glare. This moment called heliacal setting — when a planet is seen for the final time before sunrise — is astronomically real but largely absent from traditional astrological doctrine. The reason is practical rather than conceptual: Babylonian observers worked in the evening sky, not at dawn.

Because of this, the tradition preserved the language of emergence rather than disappearance. Yet the symmetry is there, and acknowledging it helps complete the cycle.

While heliacal setting is the conceptual mirror of acronychal rising, the two do not occur at equal distances from exact opposition. In practice, acronychal rising for a superior planet like Jupiter typically occurs only a few degrees after opposition, often around two to four degrees. Heliacal setting, by contrast, tends to occur farther from opposition, commonly six to ten degrees or more.

This asymmetry arises from the physics of visibility itself. At dawn, increasing sky brightness overwhelms faint objects quickly, requiring a planet to be significantly higher above the horizon to remain visible. At dusk, the darkening sky allows a planet to be seen at much lower altitude. Secondary factors — such as the angle of the ecliptic, observer latitude, and season — modulate this effect, but the asymmetry itself is fundamental. The sky favors emergence over disappearance.

Taken together, these observations suggest that the retrograde cycle of a superior planet is not a simple inversion, but a structured narrative: emergence, withdrawal, and return. Acronychal rising marks the brief moment when a planet regains its voice — a moment that, when tracked carefully, reveals how planetary meaning re-enters the world before fading once again.

A high concern for accuracy (especially with harmonious aspects)

⭐ But why do some astrologers mention dishonesty?

If dishonesty shows up with Mercury/Saturn, it’s usually the shadow side—not shameless lying, but things like:

Withholding information out of fear

Defensive half-truths

Guilt-driven secrecy

Rigid narratives they can’t deviate from

Lying to avoid consequences or judgment

Saturn’s influence is shame, accountability, and fear.
So lying under Saturn is more like “I don’t want to get in trouble”, not “I have no shame.”

⭐ Indicators of shameless lying look more like…

If you’re looking for shameless, bold, or compulsive lying, you usually see combinations like:

Mercury–Neptune (illusion, evasion, fantasy, deception)

Mercury–Jupiter (exaggeration, bravado)

Fire Mercury + harsh Mars aspects (impulsive speech)

Gemini/Sagittarius shadow expressions (storytelling or embellishment)

These are more “lie for effect / lie for fun / lie to impress” signatures.

⭐ Conclusion

Mercury/Saturn aspects do not correlate with shameless lying.
If dishonesty occurs, it’s usually fear-, shame-, or avoidance-based, not bold or brazen deception.

If you want, you can share the specific aspect or chart context — the sign, houses, and other planetary links massively change the interpretation.

You said:
in vivian robsons fixed stars traditionally mercury/saturn is about lying and bad.
ChatGPT said:

Vivian Robson absolutely does mention “lying,” “evil disposition,” or “maliciousness” when Mercury and Saturn are tied to certain fixed stars. But the key is:

👉 It’s not the Mercury/Saturn aspect itself —

It’s the combination of Mercury + Saturn + a specific fixed star with a harsh reputation.

Robson’s The Fixed Stars and Constellations in Astrology works like this:

⭐ When Mercury + Saturn are together on a malefic fixed star

He often interprets the star as amplifying:

craftiness

misrepresentation

melancholy

malicious intent

“liars,” “thieves,” “treacherous,” etc.

But the source of the “lying” isn’t Mercury/Saturn alone — it’s the nature of the star (e.g., Algol, Vindemiatrix, Facies, Scheat, Capulus, Aculeus, etc.).

Mercury = the mind + words
Saturn = restriction, fear, coldness, depression
Malefic star = amplifies its darker symbolism

Put together: “twisted, fearful, or harmful communication.”
This can express as lying, spite, gossip, or harmful speech.

⭐ Why Robson sounds harsh

Robson was writing in the early 20th century using traditional, fatalistic astrology.
Fixed star delineations from that era were:

excessively negative

literal

morally loaded

based on medieval/renaissance sources

not interpreted psychologically

So “liar” often simply meant:
“Malefic influence on Mercury = communication problems that harm others.”

⭐ Modern interpretation

Today we reinterpret Robson’s statements psychologically:

Mercury + Saturn + malefic star →
communication rooted in fear, shame, or bitterness,
sometimes manifesting as deception or distrust.

But this is situational, not a blanket statement about Mercury/Saturn aspects.

⭐ Why Mercury–Saturn alone ≠ shameless lying

Even in traditional astrology, Saturn is about fear, guilt, consequences. Rachel Reeves 29/11/25 - 1066 27 leo
Shameless lying aligns more with:

Mercury + Neptune (illusion)

Mercury + Jupiter (exaggeration)

Mercury + Mars (manipulative or aggressive rhetoric)

Saturn tends to inhibit, not embellish.

=============================================

Robson’s delineations vary massively depending on the specific fixed star and whether it’s on Mercury, Saturn, or both. If you share:

the star

the orb

and which planet it’s on

I can translate Robson’s old-school wording into a modern, accurate interpretation.
(DEGREES AND FIXED STARS OF THE ZODIAC
0-1 DEGREES OF ALL SIGNS MEANS BEGINNING SOMETHING IN PREDICTION.

29 DEGREES OF ALL SIGNS MEANS ENDING SOMETHING IN PREDICTION.

0-1 Degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn are extremely critical degrees, in predictive astrology; always a jump start, so to speak. These are the four cardinal signs; the solstice points of the Zodiac. What has begun, may or may not last. Cardinal signs indicate strong beginnings, but lack the stability of the fixed signs or the adaptablity of the mutable signs. 0-1 of Libra oftentimes signifies the beginning of a relationship in predictive astrology.

0-1 Degrees of Taurus is always permanent, in prediction, for good or bad.

0-1 Degrees of Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius is long lasting. Fixed signs signify permanence, stability and things that last. What has begun will more than likely last, in prediction.

0-1 Degrees
of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are beginnngs subject to change. Mutable signs always signify adaptability, restlessness and change. What has begun is subject to chages in prediction

29 Degrees
of Pisces is a permanent ending in predictive astrology, as is 29 degrees of Taurus.

13 and 26
Degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn give special importance to the planet(s) or house cusps occupying the degree. The affairs ruled by the planets, the affairs ruled by the houses ruled by the planets or by the houses these degrees are on point to something of the above mentioned occuring in the life of the chart owner.

9 and 21
Degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius -Same as the above, with a tendency to misfortune. 21 Degrees of Scorpio is a definite loss Natally or in prediction, the loss is not always negative.

4 and 17
of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces are similar to the 13 and 26 Degrees of the Cardinal signs, mentioned above.

15 Degrees of Leo
is one of the worst degrees in the zodiac. Either natally or in prediction. Prominent in the charts of serial killers, felons serving life sentences, hard luck, etc. Helen Keller- blind/deaf had her chart co-ruler, Mars at 15 degrees of Leo, along with no air signs. (Air signs are communication).

25 degrees of Leo
is violent, many people in prison for violent crimes have their chart rulers on this degree. Also, this is not a good degree for a planet to be on in a predictive chart. Problems will result from this placement according to the affairs it rules and/or house it is in. This is a very strong degree of alchoholism. Many who are chronic alcoholics have prominent planets on the 25th degree of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius. Especially strong if Neptune is involved

15 Degrees of Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius
are also unfortunate, but not to the extent as 15 degrees of Leo,one of the worst degrees in the Zodiac.

16, 17, 18, 19, 22 and 25 Degrees of Taurus are all degrees of violence.

9 Degrees of Gemini- degree of homocide.

17 Degrees of Gemini- degree of homocide.

6 Degrees of Cancer
possible physical disability and to a lesser extent, 6 degrees, Libra, Capricorn and Aries. Especially if the planet occupies the first house.

6 Degrees of Leo/Aquarius
is bad for eyesight.

12 Degrees of Leo,
degree of beauty.

9 Degrees of Virgo and Pisces
are known as fatal degrees, body in the ditch degrees or degrees of suffering.

9 degrees of Pisces
is one of the worst degrees in the Zodiac.

9 Degrees of Sagittarius,
is a warrior degree, and also a degree of homocide.

22 degrees of all signs
is bad, either natally or in prediction.

ACHERNAR ("end of the river") -- 15Pisces15 -- #1979 -- mag0.6
A white star at the mouth of The River
Influence: Ptolemy gave it the influence of
Jupiter, with success in public office; religion.
ACRUX -- 11SC50 -- #16952 --mag1.6
Influence: Given the nature of Jupiter, it is associated with religion, ceremonies, justice, and magic. Often prominent in charts of astrolgers.

ACULEUS -- 25SAG41 -- #6405 -- mag5.3
Influence: Given the influence of Moon and Mars, it is a nebula in the sting of the Scorpion; it has a twin and they are associated with eyesight problems if conjunct or opposite a stressed luminary. There can be many problems in life, but possible success, since Aculeus is a bit more positive than its twin, Acumen.

ACUMEN -- 28SAG43 -- #6475 -- mag3.2
Influence: The twin nebula to Aculeus in the sting of the Scorpion, given much the same nature as Aculeus, but harder to deal with.

AGENA -- 23SC45 -- #18971 -- mag0.9
Influence: Ptolemy gave it the influence of Venus and Jupiter; Alvidas - one similar as Mars conj Mercury. It gives position, honor, refinement, morality, and good health.

ALCYONE -- 29TA57 -- #4541 -- mag3.0
A greenish-yellow star, and the brightest of the Pleiades, in the shoulder of The Bull. It was once thought to the center of the universe, called the Central One by the Arabs, and Foundation Stone by the Babylonians. In Celtic tradition, the Pleiades set as the Sun rose in November, and was therefore associated with the Dead (as was the month of November).
Influence: Medically, it is linked to eyesight. It is connected with visions and mystical abilities, but also ruthless judgment. Said to have the nature of Moon/Mars, it causes love eminence, blindness from fevers (or poor eyesight in general), smallpox, and accidents to the face.

ALDEBARAN -- 9GE45 -- #5605 --mag1.1
One of the Royal Stars of Persia, The Watcher of the East, it is a pale rose star in the left eye of The Bull. It marked the Vernal Equinox for the Persians in 3000BC, thus it is the Watcher of the East.
Influence: Like the other three Royal Stars, Aldebaran promises great success as long as certain conditions are fulfilled. The issue for Aldebaran is one of integrity. If the one strives to achieve, but sacrifices their integrity, this becomes their downfall. Ptolemy gave it the nature of Mars.

ALGOL-- 26TA07 -- #3733 -- mag variable
Algol represents the severed head of Medusa, held in the hand of Perseus. The name is from Ra's al Ghul, the Demon's Head, aka Caput Algol and Caput Medusae; known as Lilith by the Hebrews and Tseih She (piled-up corpses) by the Chinese.
Influence: Algol is all the passion and intensity of the feminine which can be used effectively or destructively. Ptolemy gave it the nature of Saturn & Mars, causing misfortune, decapitation, hanging, a violent nature, and was thought to be the most evil star in the heavens. Medically, this is a double star - one has Saturn qualities and the other Mars/Uranus/Pluto ones. Most deadly of all fixed stars, it exerts a tragic influence, and may bring on chronic illnesses, dental problems, arthritis.

ALHENA -- 9CA04 -- #8633 -- mag1.9
A bright white star in the left foot of the Southern Twin; from Al Han'ah (a brand or mark), it has been called "the wound in the tendon Achilles".
Influence: Ptolemy gave it the nature of Mercury and Venus; Alvidas, that of Moon and Venus. It is linked to the concept of a mark placed on the one who is important, a person with a mission. It bestows eminence in art, but there can be accidents affecting the feet.

ALPHARD -- 27LEO15 -- #13044 -- mag2.2
An orange star in the neck of the Hydra; often called Hydra's Heart.
Influence: Ptolemy gave it the nature of Venus and Saturn; Alvidas, that of Sun sextile Jupiter. It gives wisdom, appreciation of the arts, lack of self-control immorality; also death by drowning, poison, or asphyxiation.
Medically, it has the influnce of Saturn/Venus/Neptune and can cause extreme sensitivity to any drug, bites by animals or insects, blood poisoning from toxins, and poor eating habits.

ALPHECCA --12SC16 -- #20947 -- mag2.3
A bright white star in the knot of the Ribbon; from Al Na'ir al Fakkah, the Bright One of the Dish.
Influence: Ptolemy called it the brightest star in the Northern Crown, with the nature of Venus & Mercury. Alvidas thought it to be Mercury & Mars. It gives honor, dignity, artistic ability.

ALPHERATZ -- 14AR16 -- #127 -- mag2.2
A double star, white and purple, in the hair of Andromeda. From Al Surratal Farras, the Horse's Navel - as it used to be in Pegasus.
Influence: Ptolemy gives it the nature of Jupiter and Venus; Alvidas adds Mars. It gives a love of freedom, independence, love, wealth, honor, and a keen intellect.

ALTAIR -- 1AQ44 -- #27470 -- mag0.9
A pale yellow star in the neck of the Eagle. From Al Tair, the Eagle. Sometimes called the Bird of Jove. The Greeks saw this constellation as Zeus in the form of an eagle carrying the youth Ganymedes to the heavens to be his cup bearer.
Influence: Ptolemy gives it to Mars & Jupiter; Wilson gives it Saturn and Mercury; Alvidas, Uranus & Mercury sextile the Sun. It gives a bold and unyielding nature, valiance, ambition, a liberal nature, great wealth though ephemeral, but its natives can cause bloodshed and there can be danger from reptiles.

ANTARES -- 9SAG43 -- #22157 -- mag1.2
A binary star, red and green, in the body of the Scorpion. From Anti Ares - the rival of Mars. As one of the Four Royal Stars, it marked the Autumnal Equinox in Persia in 3000BC, hence The Watcher of the West. Sometimes called Shiloh or the Scorpion's Heart.
Influence: Being a Royal Star it can bring great success but the possible cause of undoing is that the person goes to excess or become obsessive. Obsession leads to a downfall. However, by keeping a balance between success with one's goals and the quality of life, the potential downfall is avoided. Ptolemy gives it Mars and Juputer; Alvidas - Jupiter sextile Venus. Yet it is malefic in nature, bringing destructiveness, rashness, a headstrong nature, braod-mindedness, and obstinance.
Medically, this is Mars/Merc/Jup. It influences various health problems, incl eye troubles. It may induce impulsiveness that can casue bodily injury.

ARCTURUS -- 24LI12 -- #19242 -- mag0.2
A yellow star of Bootes, the hunter/gather turned cultivator. From Arktouros, the Bear Guard. Aka Arctophilax (the Bear Watcher), Azimech, and variants of Al Simak (the Lofty One).
Influence: Ptolemy gives it to Mars and Jupiter; Alvidas to Mercury and Venus conjunct. It gives riches, status, gain through voyages and navigation. This star embodies the daring to strike out and take a new path; to try a new method; to go in a direction which has not been traveled before.

BELLATRIX -- 20GEM54 -- #6668 -- mag1.7
The beta star of Orion (in the left shoulder) and the shadow twin to Betelgeuse. This is the left shoulder of the great god Osiris and was later renamed Orion by the Greeks.
Influence: One of the great stars of the sky, Bellatrix is success through a long, and at times hard, struggle. The star promises great potential but only through a journey which deals with the more difficult aspects of the psyche. Ptolemy gave this star the influences of Mars and Mercury.

BETELGEUSE -- 28GEM43 -- #7451 -- mag variable
One of the great stars. This huge red star is in the right shoulder of Orion who was previously known to the Egyptians as the god, Osiris.
Influence: "Success which is not blocked." This star is probably one of the most blessed and fortunate stars in the sky, for when linked to a chart, it promises success without complications. Ptolemy gives it also the characteristics of Mars and Mercury.

CANOPUS -- 14CAN56 -- #8302 -- mag-0.9
The great navigator and pilot of the Argo, the one who guided the Egyptian boat of the Dead. This star is a beacon in the southern sky and thought by the ancients to symbolise the great path finder. Still used by NASA for navigational purposes.

(sorry, I dont have the links. These were all in my files. You'll probably want to print them out.)
Generally, the only ones I look at are the ones listed in Anthony Louis' book Horary Astrology Plain and Simple. He provides a longer list of stars in an appendix.

Caput Algol: Signifies "losing one's head" over a matter...either figuratively, or literally. Very malefic. Jacobson qualifies the influence of Algol by implying that a significator must suffer additional affliction for Algol's to be fully felt.

Alcyone: Also very malefic.

Regulus: Traditionally called "Cor Leonis," or the Heart of the Lion, this is, according to Louis, "the most benefic star in the universe." The star gives wealth, glory, victory.

Vindemiatrix: Traditionally, the star of widowhood. Malefic. According to Jacobson, especially significant in questions about domestic issues.

Spica: Benefic. Lies in the Via Combusta (15° Libra to 15° Scorpio). A planet within a 1° conjunction of Spica is protected against the heat of "the fiery way."

Arcturus: Lies at 24Lib14. Benefic. Same helpful influence as Spica.
For a more comprehensive list of fixed stars, consult The Fixed Stars website.
Other Malefic Degrees

Serpentis: This is always at 19° Scorpio; it does not change. Traditionally, it is regarded as, "The cursed degree of the accursed sign." According to Jacobson, this degree is particularly relevent in questions concerning partnerships, and the acquisition of animals.

Pleiades. 29 Taurus. "The Weeping Sisters." Malefic. A planet or angle here suggests that there will be something to cry about.
22° Leo. A degree listed by Anthony Louis, and signifying a tendency to be the agent of one's own undoing, or to work against oneself.

Just taking a look at what they have to say about the fixed star, caput algol conjunct my Sun.
Ummmm..........

CAPUT ALGOL - [26 Degrees of Taurus]
Here is one of the most violent stars in the zodiac. In natal charts, this gives a most violent disposition, with murderous tendencies. This is intensified when intoxicated. The mean viscious drunk. On the upside, it bestows athletic ability. The intense nature, when sublimated, can give the drive to reach the top. Olympic gymnasts, Shannon Miller and Olga Korbut are examples here. When conjunct the descendent, violence will come from others, especially the lover or marriage partner.

Caput Algol: Signifies "losing one's head" over a matter...either figuratively, or literally. Very malefic. Jacobson qualifies the influence of Algol by implying that a significator must suffer additional affliction for Algol's to be fully felt.

I have many more fixed star 'afflictions' in my chart. I dont know what to make of these interps. I could relate some of it to me, but not all. It's interesting to say the least.

26Taurus -
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU - I could kiss you for all this EXTREMELY HELPFUL information. You are a godsend. Most of the day yesterday looking for information and I didn't get 1/4 of what you posted. I really appreciate you taking the time out to do this.
I'm actually starting to work on figuring out where these fixed stars fall on my chart - OH MY GOSH - you gave me their numbers too?! xoxoxo, really. you have no idea how helpful all of this is to me.

actually, it's funny because it all started with the US forecast from Maya Del Mar via TOHTWAVES for yesterday - it said "TUESDAY JUNE 7. This is an odd day. Moon is still in nervous Gemini, and we may awaken feeling irritable and feisty. This mood is apt to continue until Moon goes VOC at 2:50 p.m. EDT. Perhaps we can harness this underlying irritability through applying ourselves to work which requires much energy, either physical or mental.

At 8:46 p.m., Moon enters emotional Cancer. Shortly afterwards, half of the planets are especially active, indicating that tomorrow will be a big day. This day is also strongly affected. Sleep may be difficult tonight.

One of the influences heightens imagination and sparks the creative impulse. The other influence can be disruptive to communication, e.g., power struggles, equipment problems, and accidents. It may encourage changing our minds about something important. Or hidden information may come to light. With Moon in Cancer, we may feel threats to security. Washington DC shows the possibility of a destructive influence via fixed star Algol."

when i read it - "what is algol?" was the only thing ringing in my head.

then, when i started reading about it - i said - okay, this is a good start. fayte brought up in another forum past lives and i have this reoccuring thought that my head was cut off in my past life and the reasoning behind my "beheading" which reverberated to my current life's purpose so...........i think this would be really good for me to go through.

I know that their were several negative connotations to what fixed stars represent in a person's chart but i say - hey, I figured that as "stuck" as i feel in my life at this moment - moving forward with my life's path........looking to where the fixed stars fall in my chart could really help me get unstuck by acknowledging, encouraging and then applying it. I'm ready to move forward and put myself out there so - hopefully i could get a lot of confusion out of the way.

Hades

Nov. 8th, 2025 09:30 am
10 words to describe uranian planet HADES using modern interpretation

Decay - Symbolizing inevitable breakdown and the cycle of endings.
Toxins - Representing hidden pollutants in body, mind, or environment.
Shadow - The repressed, unconscious aspects demanding integration.
Recycling - Modern alchemy of waste into resourceful rebirth.
Underdog - Championing the marginalized and overlooked struggles.
Filth - Raw exposure to societal underbellies and gritty truths.
Purgation - Intense cleansing through crisis and release.
Basement - Deep, subterranean layers of psyche or history unearthed.
Misery - Echoes of collective trauma and emotional sludge.
Renewal - Transformative rot fostering unexpected growth and innovation.

Real-Life Examples of "Basement" in the Context of Hades

In Uranian astrology, Hades' "basement" archetype evokes the unearthing of buried depths—whether in the personal psyche, family lineage, or collective history. It's that gritty process of digging into the dark, forgotten underlayers to reveal truths that reshape our understanding.

Here are some tangible, real-world examples:

Therapeutic Breakthroughs in Psychoanalysis:

Imagine a person in therapy suddenly recalling a long-repressed childhood trauma during a session, like abuse hidden in family dynamics. This mirrors Freudian "excavation" of the unconscious, where Hades energy forces confrontation with psychic "basement" rubble—leading to healing but often through intense emotional upheaval. Real case: Many survivors of historical events (e.g., Holocaust descendants) experience this via EMDR therapy, unearthing generational shadows.

Archaeological Discoveries:

The 1922 unearthing of Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter didn't just reveal gold; it exposed Egypt's subterranean rituals and power struggles, rewriting history. In Hades terms, it's the literal basement of civilization being cracked open, stirring curses (or modern scandals around artifact looting) and forcing a re-evaluation of ancient "filth" like mummification practices.

Family Secret Revelations: A modern example is the 2018 case of adoptees using DNA tests (like 23andMe) to uncover hidden half-siblings or illicit affairs in their lineage—think the shock of learning a grandparent was involved in wartime espionage or abuse. This Hades-like purge drags up ancestral "basement" dirt, transforming personal identity but often amid grief and legal battles.

Whistleblower Exposés: Edward Snowden's 2013 leaks on NSA surveillance programs unearthed the "basement" of government overreach—decades of hidden data collection on citizens. It embodies Hades' role in exposing systemic rot, sparking global reform debates while the leaker descends into exile, a personal underworld journey.

Cultural Reckonings in Media: Jordan Peele's film Get Out (2017) digs into the psyche of racial microaggressions and hypnosis as metaphors for buried societal traumas. Viewers often report "aha" moments unearthing their own subconscious biases, aligning with Hades' transformative filth-to-fertility cycle.

These instances show how Hades' basement isn't just metaphorical gloom—it's a catalyst for renewal, though the descent can feel like navigating a flooded cellar.

Rosetta Stone - places it precisely at ~24° Scorpio for mid-July 1799), Hades sits at approximately 24° Scorpio. This refines our "basement" lens on the chart, amplifying its transformative punch. Scorpio's watery intensity (ruled by Pluto/Mars in traditional terms) aligns perfectly with Hades' underworld purge, evoking hidden depths, power struggles, and alchemical rebirth—spot-on for unearthing a "key" to ancient enigmas amid imperial conquest.

Midpoint Ties (Uranian Style): Sun/Saturn = Hades (exact via trine midpoint ~23° Virgo/Libra): Wait, no—the trine forms a midpoint picture where Hades activates Sun + Saturn / 2 ≈ 21.5° Cancer, but in 90° dial terms, it pictures "structured depth research" yielding historical gold. More potently, Jupiter/Uranus Midpoint (11° Gemini/Libra) ≈ Hades opposition: Innovative linguistics (Jupiter-Uranus) meets shadowy antiquity, birthing sudden "underdog" insights— the stone as a cosmic bilingual hack.
Hades/Pluto (7° Pisces) Semisextile (~30°): Subtle nudge for total dissolution-rebirth. Pluto in Pisces dissolves empires; Hades adds karmic sludge, sextiling the Cancer stellium for intuitive unearthing.

Broader "Basement" Resonance

This Scorpio Hades elevates the chart's Hadesian vibe from my earlier Aries approximation (which was off by ~180°—oppositions flip the energy). At 24° Scorpio, it's in its element: probing power's underbelly (French invasion vs. Egyptian antiquity), exposing collective trauma (colonial "filth"), and catalyzing renewal (decipherment as purgation). No wonder the discovery sparked scandals (British seizure post-Waterloo) yet empowered marginalized histories—Hades' underdog arc.The full picture? A generational trigger for "recycling" lost wisdom, with Hades trining the core event like buried treasure surfacing in a storm. If you have the exact time or want midpoint calcs for another date (e.g., Champollion's breakthrough), I can refine further!

With Hades at 24° Scorpio, the midpoint pictures sharpen the "basement" unearthing:Sun/Saturn = Hades (via trine midpoint ~23° Virgo/Libra cusp): Structured confrontation with buried karma—fortification digs yield ancient sludge, birthing disciplined renewal (Egyptology's foundation).

=======================================================

Exact Position on July 15, 1799 (00:00 UT): 22°24' Cancer.

This places Hades in exact conjunction (orb <1°) with the Sun-Saturn at 22° Cancer in the Rosetta Stone discovery chart— a powerhouse alignment I missed in approximations! It supercharges the "basement" unearthing: Hades' shadowy antiquity merges with Cancer's ancestral roots and Saturn's preservation, making the artifact's reveal a fated purge of historical "filth" into enduring renewal. No retrograde internalization here; it's pure outward catharsis amid the Napoleonic "decay."

Exploring the Hades-Sun-Saturn Conjunction in Uranian AstrologyIn Uranian astrology, a Hades-Sun-Saturn conjunction is a rare, potent alignment—especially with the tight orb (<1°) seen in the July 15, 1799, Rosetta Stone discovery chart (all at ~22° Cancer). Hades, the trans-Neptunian point of subterranean depths and karmic decay, merges with the Sun's vital core (identity, illumination) and Saturn's austere discipline (structure, endurance, past burdens). This isn't a light-hearted trio; it's a cosmic excavator, blending shadow work with preserved legacy. The Cancer placement adds emotional, ancestral layers—roots, heritage, and the "motherlode" of buried family/societal sludge.Uranian emphasis falls on midpoints and planetary pictures (e.g., Hades + Sun = Saturn), where the blend pictures "structured confrontation with the ego's hidden rot." It's generational (Hades' slow pace), often marking epochs of purgative revelation over personal whims. Below, I'll unpack its layers: core themes, interpretations, and real-world echoes.

Core Themes of the Conjunction

This aspect embodies Hades' "filth-to-fertility" cycle, tempered by Sun-Saturn's sober realism. Use this table for a quick spectrum:Polarity
Negative Manifestation
Positive Manifestation
Decay & Limitation
Chronic stagnation; ego crushed by ancestral toxins (e.g., inherited depression, scandals eroding vitality).
Disciplined composting—turning personal "misery" into enduring wisdom (e.g., therapy breakthroughs).

Shadow Identity
Repressed self (Sun) bound by karmic chains (Saturn-Hades); underdog isolation, like a "basement dweller" haunted by past failures.
Illuminated depths: Ego integrates underworld truths for authentic power (e.g., whistleblowers exposing corruption).
Historical Purgation
Collective grief from unearthed atrocities (e.g., war crimes resurfacing).
Structured renewal: Antiquities preserved for future generations (e.g., archaeology yielding societal catharsis).

Personal Chart Interpretations

Natal: Suggests a life path of "dark night" maturation. The Sun's light filters through Hades' gloom and Saturn's forge, forging resilient souls who've faced early losses or family secrets.

Example: Someone with this might excel as a forensic psychologist—Sun's empathy meets Saturn's rigor in Hades' psychic trenches—but struggle with impostor syndrome until midlife transits trigger renewal.
Transit/Progression: A visiting Hades conjunct natal Sun-Saturn could manifest as a "karmic audit"—job loss exposing corporate rot, or health crises purging toxins. Positively, it's rebirth: Saturn stabilizes Hades' dissolution, like quitting a toxic relationship to reclaim core vitality.

Midpoint Formula:

Sun/Hades = Saturn pictures ego shadowed by decay, demanding Saturnian boundaries.

Saturn/Sun = Hades flips to disciplined identity unearthing underbelly truths.

In 90° dial work, it activates sensitive points like ASC/MC for career reckonings.

Mundane & Historical Echoes: The Rosetta Stone ChartThis conjunction is the chart's heartbeat, trining Pluto (total transformation) for amplified potency. Amid Napoleon's Egyptian campaign:Mundane Layer: Sun-Saturn in Cancer evokes imperial "fortification" (Saturn walls) guarding the homeland's soul (Cancer), but Hades injects subterranean sabotage—literally, soldiers digging foundations unearth a 196 BC decree, exposing Ptolemaic "wickedness" (taxes on temples, cultural erasure). It's Hades' underdog triumph: Colonial "decay" recycles into Egypt's reclaimed voice.
Planetary Picture: Hades + Sun / 2 ≈ Saturn (midpoint exact), symbolizing "vital shadows structured for posterity." The stone's trilingual script (hieroglyphs, Demotic, Greek) mirrors this—Hades' filth (eroded basalt) + Sun's revelation = Saturn's eternal archive, catalyzing Champollion's 1822 decipherment.
Retrograde Note: As confirmed, Hades was direct, propelling outward catharsis—no inward brooding, but a bold historical flush.

Broader ExamplesPersonal: Oprah Winfrey's chart has Sun-Saturn tensions with Hades midpoints; her abuse survival and media empire echo this—ego (Sun) forged in Saturn's trials, recycling Hades' trauma into empowerment.
Mundane: The 1974 Watergate tapes release (Sun-Saturn transits activating Hades) unearthed Nixon's "basement" lies, a Saturnian reckoning of presidential rot.
Cultural: J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings (written under similar energies) delves Moria's depths—Sun's heroic quest meets Saturn's ancient evils and Hades' orcish decay, birthing renewal through fellowship.

This conjunction isn't doom; it's alchemy—ego's gold refined in the underworld's kiln. In Cancer, it tugs at collective memory, urging us to honor the buried for growth. Got a birth chart or transit in mind to apply this to? Let's dig deeper!

Sensitive points (midpoints, planetary pictures) activated by solar arc directions to natal positions often describe major life events.

Uranian astrologers place huge emphasis on exact midpoint pictures formed by these arcs (e.g., SA Sun = MC = Admetos/Kronos).

b. Transits to Midpoints

Rather than simple transits to planets, Uranian astrologers monitor transits (and progressions) to midpoints and planetary pictures.

Example: Transit Vulcanus = natal Mercury/Admetos might correspond to intense mental focus or stubborn intellectual work.

c. Solar Return & Directed Charts

Annual Solar Returns are read alongside the directed chart on the 90° dial.

Emphasis on angular hits (MC, Asc, Sun, Moon) and midpoint activation.

Events are timed when multiple contacts occur within a tight orb (often ≤ 1°).

d. Arcs of the MC (Meridian System)

Witte developed the Meridian System, a precise timing method based on the moving MC.

The MC is symbolically moved through degrees or minutes to identify when it “hits” significant natal or directed midpoints.

e. Planetary Pictures

A “planetary picture” is a structure like A = B/C, meaning planet A resonates with the midpoint of B and C.

Predictive interpretation often involves identifying when a current planet or directed arc forms a new planetary picture that matches natal or solar-arc configurations.

🌌 3. Modern Uranian Theory & Practice

Contemporary Uranian astrologers (e.g., Gary Christen, Martha Lang-Wescott, Arlene Nimark, and others) have refined and expanded Witte’s work.

a. Integration with Outer Planets & Asteroids

Modern Uranian astrologers include real bodies like Chiron, Pholus, Eris, etc.

The hypothetical planets are treated symbolically, as archetypal fields rather than literal bodies.

b. Psychological & Evolutionary Framing

Many modern practitioners blend Uranian midpoint structure with Jungian or evolutionary astrology — treating the eight Uranian points as deep unconscious forces rather than predictive triggers alone.

c. Computational Tools

Software like Solar Fire, Win*Star, and Nova Chartwheels allow 90° dial rotation and midpoint searches instantly.

This made Uranian predictive timing far more precise and accessible.

d. Refined Orbs and Precision

Uranian astrologers typically use tiny orbs:

1° for planets

0°30′ for midpoints

seconds of arc for rectification or exact event timing.

e. Modern Predictive Approach Summary
Technique Description Purpose

Solar Arc Directions Move all planets by Sun’s arc Long-term life events
Transits to Midpoints Trigger events when planets hit midpoint axes Timing & manifestation
90° Dial Work Shows symmetry & hidden hard aspects Structural insight
Planetary Pictures Symbolic combinations (e.g., Sun = Admetos/Vulcanus) Precise meaning synthesis
MC / ASC Directions Move angles for timing Day-level precision

🧠 Example

For instance, suppose someone has Mercury = Admetos/Vulcanus in their natal chart.
When a solar arc Sun or transiting Kronos activates that midpoint, one might expect:

Intense concentration, intellectual breakthrough, or writing under pressure (Mercury = Admetos/Vulcanus).

The timing would be verified using the dial, when the directed Sun or MC exactly contacts that structure.

🧩 4. Difference Between Hamburg

-------------------------------------------------------------

Method (how this calendar was built)

Natal data used: 11 Feb 1958, 22:45 (10:45 pm), Manchester, England (you gave these).

Solar Arc background: Solar Arc ≈ the Sun’s progression since birth (roughly ~1° per year). For 2025 you’ll be ~67 years old, so Solar Arc ≈ +67° (this is why SA hits often line up with midlife themes). Solar Arc hits are treated as background — long-running themes.

Transits to natal midpoints & planetary pictures: I prioritized transits from outer bodies (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) and from Uranian hypothetical points (Vulcanus, Admetos, Kronos, etc.) to sensitive natal midpoints (Sun/Mercury, Sun/Pholus, Mercury/Admetos, etc.). These act as triggers for events.

Orbs & importance: For Uranian work I used pragmatic orbs: 0°–3° for slow points (Pholus, Chiron, Uranian points) and 0°–1°30′ for fast inner planets — you can tighten or widen those orbs depending on your practice.

Tools you can use to verify: Astro-Seek (midpoint and solar-arc calculators), Serennu (Uranian points and centaurs ephemeris), Astro.com/Swiss Ephemeris (for Swiss-standard positions and Hamburg points). See links I used: Astro-Seek midpoint & solar arc tools and Serennu ephemeris.

2) Combined Uranian predictive calendar (high-value activations, 2025–2026)

Below are selected, high-leverage events — the kinds of hits Uranian astrologers would flag first. Each entry shows: what is activating, when (window), how to read it, and what it might look like in life.

A. Solar Arc background for 2025 (major theme)

What: Solar Arc Sun ≈ +67° (year 2025) — that arc will be moving across a set of natal midpoints through 2025–2026.

Timing: ongoing across 2025; exact hits depend on natal midpoints.

Interpretation: a significant “visibility” year — SA Sun activates public status midpoints (Sun = MC, or Sun = Sun/Pholus, etc.). Expect more focus on legacy, reputation, and crystallizing long projects. If SA Sun contacts Pholus or Admetos midpoints, that’s when previously locked or compressed material opens or becomes public.

Practical: use solar-arc hits as the long thread; look to quicker transits to pinpoint when things occur.

B. Transit Pluto → natal Sun/Pholus midpoint (Deep restructuring / revelation)

Window: 2025 mid → 2026 (Pluto has been active in Aquarius/late Capricorn era; exact window needs ephemeris check).

What it means: Pluto transiting a Sun/Pholus midpoint (or Pluto forming a planetary picture with Sun = Pholus/…) is classic for deep transformation around identity and things that were “locked” or buried. This can bring slow, profound change — endings that lead to rebirth and uncovering of previously obscured material.

Possible expression: major career redefinition, exposure or release of something long-held, or letting go of a role. If you work with archives, language, or concentrated research, this can be a breakthrough.

C. Transiting Uranus → natal Mercury/Admetos (Sudden insights; breakthroughs in communication)

Window: late-2025 → 2026 (Uranus is active in the 2025–2026 timeframe — exact dates depend on orb).

Interpretation: Uranus to a Mercury/Admetos midpoint is an electric trigger: sudden, surprising communications, breakthroughs in understanding, or unexpected travel/contacts that change a thinking pattern. For Uranian practice this is a clear “outside shock triggers internal decoding” pattern.

Practical: expect sudden insight, flashes of unconventional thinking, or abrupt changes in correspondence. Good time for experimental writing or tech projects.

D. Transit Saturn → natal Mercury/Admetos or Mercury/Vulcanus (Focus, editing, constraints)

Window: 2025 → 2026 (depends on Saturn’s path and your natal Mercury degree).

Meaning: Saturn transiting Mercury-type midpoints usually brings concentration, editing, responsibility in communication. If Saturn touches Mercury/Admetos, it can feel like an enforced period of careful translation, compression, or slow analytic work. Productive for finishing long technical or scholarly projects.

Practical: deadlines, refinement, legal/contractual review, methodical work.

E. Solar Arc Mercury = natal Admetos (Mental focus hits)

Window: throughout 2025 (because SA ≈ +67°, SA Mercury will be roughly natal Mercury +67° — check exact).

Interpretation: When Solar Arc Mercury contacts Admetos (or Mercury = Admetos picture is activated), you get concentrated mental effort: translating, decoding, or working with compressed/secreted information. This is a Uranian “solve the puzzle” signature.

Practical: excellent for research, translation, or long editorial projects.

F. Transiting Jupiter → natal Sun/Vulcanus or Sun/Admetos (Opportunities to make private work public)

Window: episodic — Jupiter transits can create openings where hard-won concentrated efforts get visible or rewarded. Expect opportunities / invitations.

Practical: take advantage of openings to publish, submit proposals, or expand visibility.

G. Pholus (centaur) contact windows (cusp activity)

Why watch: Pholus often acts like a catalytic centaur — small causes produce big effects. You mentioned Pholus on the Aries cusp in 1799; for your chart, look for transits or solar arcs that place Pholus within ~3° of major natal angles or Sun/Mercury.

Window: intermittent across 2025–2026 depending on Pholus’ slow drift.

Effect: a small, seemingly minor event puts an old issue into motion; can be sudden release or catalytic transformation.

H. Practical 6-month checkpoints (how things may cluster)

Early 2025 (Jan–Apr): SA Sun & SA Mercury movement starts to prime midpoints. Expect flagged background themes: increased focus, slow clarifying events.

Mid 2025 (May–Aug): Outer-planet transits (Uranus/Pluto) produce triggers to Mercury/Admetos or Sun/Pholus midpoints — watch for sudden insights or deep developments.

Late 2025 (Sep–Dec): Saturn/Jupiter transits bring consolidation/opportunity — good time to finalize projects started earlier in the year.

Early 2026: Pluto/Uranus continued contacts — deeper structural outcomes from the seeds in 2025.

3) How to get precise, verifiable hits (exact degrees & times)

If you want every activation to the arc-minute (the usual Uranian professional standard), follow these steps (or tell me to run them and I’ll compute them for you):

Tools (recommended)

Exact recipe I’ll run (if you want me to calculate every hit now)

Generate your natal chart at the exact moment & place you gave. (Astro-Seek or Astro.com).

Produce a natal midpoint table (include Uranian points, Pholus, Chiron, major centaurs). Save these midpoints.

Create Solar Arc chart for 2025 and 2026 (Solar Arc = progressed Sun) and list SA positions for all planets/points. Identify SA hits to natal midpoints (exact date/time).

Run a Transit → Natal Midpoint search for 2025–2026 including classical outer planets and Uranian points (Vulcanus, Admetos, Kronos, Poseidon) and centaurs (Pholus), listing entry/exact/exit times for each hit. (Astro-Seek’s midpoint transit search can do this.)

Produce a sorted timeline and short interpretive notes for each exact hit.

If you want me to do that computation now I will — I’ll use Astro-Seek (midpoint/transit search) + Serennu (to confirm Uranian point longitudes) + Swiss Ephemeris / Astro.com conventions so results match professional Uranian practice. Say “Run exact calendar now” and I’ll produce a table of exact hits (dates, times, body → midpoint, orb, and short plain-English meaning).

Short practical takeaway (if you want to act now)

2025–2026 is a key period for concentrated work and possible breakthroughs for you. Treat 2025 as a background “visibility + concentrated work” year (Solar Arc Sun + Solar Arc Mercury themes).

Watch for sudden communications/insights (Uranus to Mercury/Admetos), slow consolidation (Saturn to Mercury), and deep structural change (Pluto to Sun/Pholus).

Actionable: pick one long project (research, book, translation, an archival or concentrated piece of work). Time your effort clusters around mid-2025 and late-2025 as likely windows of opportunity and trigger.

Do you want me to run the exact, minute-precision Combined Uranian calendar now (I’ll output a date-sorted table with exact degrees, orbs, and concise interpretations)? If yes, I’ll compute:

Solar Arc hits for 2025–2026 to your natal midpoints, and

Transit → natal midpoint hits for the same period (including Vulcanus, Admetos, Pholus, Pluto, Uranus, Neptune, Saturn, Jupiter).

Say “Run exact calendar now” and I’ll produce the precise table.
heliocentric astrology in mundane work (the astrology of world events, nations, and collective trends) has a very particular and powerful use.

While geocentric astrology focuses on how events are experienced on Earth, heliocentric astrology shows the underlying energetic mechanics — the “why” behind global cycles, not just their surface manifestation.

Let’s break down how it’s applied in mundane practice:

☀️ 1. Macro-Cosmic Perspective

Mundane astrology already deals with large-scale patterns (politics, economy, climate, social shifts).

Geocentric charts show how these energies impact humanity directly.

Heliocentric charts strip away Earth-centered distortions (like retrogrades) and offer the “pure orbital geometry” of planetary relationships.

👉 This gives astrologers a cleaner map of major alignments and how they influence civilizations, markets, and technological eras.

🪐 2. Heliocentric Conjunctions as “Seed Points”

In mundane forecasting, heliocentric conjunctions of slow-moving planets (especially outer planets like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) are considered foundational.

These conjunctions are treated as true start points of collective cycles — sometimes even more significant than their geocentric counterparts.

Example:

A heliocentric conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn marks the actual moment in orbital mechanics when their energies fuse, even if the geocentric conjunction occurs days earlier or later.

Mundane astrologers use that exact heliocentric moment to forecast long-term geopolitical and economic cycles.

🌍 3. Planetary Geometry & Global Shifts

Heliocentric charts highlight large-scale geometric patterns (T-squares, grand trines, yods, stelliums) that can underlie technological leaps, ideological shifts, economic trends, or crisis periods.

Because the Sun is at the center, these patterns are not influenced by Earth’s position, so they are interpreted as structural signatures of the solar system itself.

Example themes:

Uranus–Pluto heliocentric squares have historically aligned with revolutions, rapid modernization, and systemic disruption.

Jupiter–Neptune heliocentric aspects often correlate with ideological waves, expansion of global networks, or mass movements.

🪙 4. No Lunar Factors = Broader Scope

Mundane heliocentric work omits the Moon and nodes, which in geocentric charts often relate to the public mood or emotional climate.

By focusing on planetary dynamics only, heliocentric mundane astrology zeroes in on underlying systemic forces — e.g., technological shifts, political realignments, economic transformations — rather than emotional reactions to them.

📈 5. Financial & Technological Forecasting

Heliocentric astrology is popular in:

Financial astrology: because it’s cleaner and free of retrograde distortions, it’s often used to time major market turns or long-term cycles.

Tech & innovation cycles: Uranus and Mercury patterns heliocentrically can point to real shifts in communication networks, AI, or transport revolutions before they manifest socially.

🔁 6. Geocentric + Heliocentric = Full Picture

Many seasoned mundane astrologers layer:

Heliocentric chart → reveals the objective mechanics of the cycle.

Geocentric chart → shows how it manifests for humanity in time and space.

👉 For example, the heliocentric Uranus–Pluto square in the 1960s showed the core evolutionary tension, while the geocentric transits revealed when and where the social upheavals erupted (civil rights, counterculture, tech boom).

✅ Summary of Mundane Heliocentric Usage:

Reveals structural, transpersonal forces shaping human history.

Emphasizes slow-planet configurations.

Used to forecast long-term trends in politics, economics, technology, and ideology.

Pairs with geocentric astrology for timing and localization.

Would you like me to give a current (2025) example of a heliocentric planetary alignment and what it might indicate for the world? (e.g., financial, political, or tech trends).
Here is some information on Heliocentric Astrology by Philip Sedgwick.

Shifting to a heliocentric horoscope requires that an individual give up a good deal of tightly tied personality points, namely the ego. Astrologers shifting to the heliocentric method of astrological interpretation must likewise give up a series of items of intimate familiarity. First, the houses disappear, along with the midheaven and rising sign. A quadrant emphasis replaces the houses, based upon the Vernal Equinox (0E Aries). Secondly, retrogrades are relinquished.
The solar observation of true motion of the planets replaces the Earth based apparent motion. The Earth and its Moon become virtually indistinguishable within the zodiac. This merger represents an integration of the Earth and its satellite, the Moon. Lastly, the Sun disappears - or so it seems.
This is not true either; the Sun merely becomes the point of reference (view).
The sacrifices of the shift to heliocentric astrology are uncomfortable indeed, much like
giving up the typical ego reactions employed for entire sequences of lifetimes. The subsequent enlightenment and purity of being to be reclaimed make it all worthwhile. Each of the astrological considerations lost is replaced by a new premise, perhaps of true proportions. Truly, no loss exists.
The movement to heliocentric astrology creates additional space in which the individual or event of consummation obtains more operating room. This diminishes the probability of the individual tripping in the very process of motion. The mundane influences of life begin to evaporate just because there is no room for the influences to occupy. This can create great difficulty for individuals seeing no benefit in a life without inherent difficulties. Life becomes
simpler and it remains imperative that the new space created be filled with issues and evolution outside the individual. This dynamic defines the nature of pursuing life from within to without.
Life without resistance evolves. The essence of the August, 1987 Harmonic Convergence blends awareness and action.

Heliocentric horoscopes initially appear to be suspended in space with very little to stand upon, which of course is not true. In fact the entire mass of the Sun may now be used as a basis.
The Sun contains 99.8% of all the physical matter in the solar system! This creates a large, energized platform for the baseline of one’s existence. More pressure and push results within the heliocentric chart. This pressure is self-generated and self-contained, arising from the agreement
of the soul to truly evolve. The transition to heliocentric astrology symbolically represents a
greater commitment on the part of the soul to utilize its incarnation upon the planet Earth with
maximum application.
The first experience of a heliocentric map may be one of, “So what do I do with it now?!?”
The reader is encouraged to recall the first view ever held of a geocentric nativity. Remember the perplexity of trying to understand all of the astrological dynamics that everybody else except you knew so well? Remember the overwhelming sensation of being mentally overloaded? Remember the sense of never being able to learn it all? Welcome to round two of astrological perceptual disorders.
The disorder of first heliocentric experiences result from insufficient background information. Even some basic theory would dispel much of the discomfort. The initial reaction to the heliocentric chart is much like having the ego defense mechanisms and facades in life stripped away. Everyone understands you at the soul level. This is frightening. This is capable of producing paranoia, fear and over reaction to rejection. Then an interesting phenomenon results.
Those people do not seem to care about your personality. They recognize you at the soul level and view the greatness contained by the soul housed by the organism known as a human body.
Relief results and the negative reactive emotions melt in the heat of the solar mass. Heliocentric astrology is like always running on solar power!

New aspects of the self emerge based upon parts of the soul never considered and
perceptions which require that an individual be removed from physical situations to clearly perceive them. These new considerations result from contingencies offered in heliocentric astrology which do not appear in geocentric systems. Shifts in astrological priorities yield shifts in consciousness describing the essence of the individual. Once one lets go of the astrological premises relevant only in geocentric astrology one encounters the new phenomena: heliocentric planetary nodes, occultations (essentially eclipses) of all planets, aphelion (farthest planetary point from the Sun in orbital revolution) and perihelion (closest solar contact point within the orbital geometry).
Astrologers will also experience relief from individuals not knowing accurate times of birth.
Time is a much less critical consideration since no angles or rapid lunar placements are
calculated. The greatest error in a heliocentric horoscope with an inaccurate birth time will occur for the planet Mercury.

New aspect patterns arise (for instance, Mercury opposed Venus). This offers new insight into traditional methods. Consider the Mercury/Venus opposition: a clear individual recognition of one’s needs through direct communication. The need to communicate is dramatically exposed heliocentrically where in geocentric astrology it would never be noted. It is true that some other geocentric aspect may have suggested this need, but not with the direct perspective of the heliocentric point of view.
There will be growing pains in heliocentric astrology. It is to the advantage of the
heliocentrically inquisitive astrologer to notice the areas of discomfort. Later on in the study of heliocentric astrology, correlate these initial discomforts to the resultant awareness. Chances are
that reduction of ego and development of soul occur in the process.

A heliocentric map stands to facilitate each astrologer in dealing with the power and responsibility which exists in the realm of astrology. It is a journey of the inner
cosmos of the soul.
The concepts of heliocentric astrology require that the astrologer
first give up a series of notions.

These are:

Relinquished Precepts
a. retrograde planets
b. angles and houses
c. Moon signs
d. fictitious model of the solar system
e. loss of relative (apparent) bias

Obtained Concepts
a. true motion of planets
b. quadrant system referenced to 00 Aries
c. integration of Earth and Moon
d. solar basis of activities and views
e. accurate (true) model of the solar system
f. gain of objectivity
g. heliocentric planetary emphasis
h. perihelia interpretation
i. aphelia interpretation
j. new aspect possibilities

The heliocentric horoscope strongly emphasizes the extended purpose in life. The
map reveals roads to take to propel the seeker closer to a sense of meaning and fulfillment within the incarnation. The individual obtains and must utilize the expanded operating room of space in
which one conducts the incarnation. Availability of purpose-related activities increase, enabling strong reinforcement aspects to one’s destiny.

The strong significance of the heliocentric horoscope may lead to the question of how to
know when it is time to look at the heliocentric chart. It could be confusing and overwhelming if the heliocentric chart is examined too early.
True, premature analysis of the heliocentric map holds the potential to demotivate the
individual. Still, the determination of the timing for the initial look into the new world remains ultimately up to the owner of the chart. Any time the questions come up: “Why am I here?”
“What am I doing in/with/through life?” “What good is all of this?”
These are questions which require an initial heliocentric examination.

Planetary Nodes
The planetary nodes stimulate an area of influence in the heliocentric horoscope. Early work by John Nelson found that a planet was stronger
1 when within five to ten degrees of either node or bisection of the nodal axis. He was not clear as to whether a planet interacted strongly only with its own nodes. It is submitted that any planet to any other planetary node may be considered
to be an effective aspect - five degree orb maximum.
Planetary nodes in heliocentric astrology advance at a rate of about one degree per 100 years.
This does not represent an effect of precession since precession is a geocentric perceptual phenomenon. The slow motion of the nodes creates a generational influence in which virtually any person born in any given century has the same nodes. What could be the fuss?
The planet in contact to the node represents the personalized connection to a collective issue.
The planet reveals the impetus that the individual possesses to exert an effect in a larger issue of humanity and in context of the planet’s symbolism. North Node connections induce the individual to push for advance, change, reform and progress - worst case: rebellion, malcontent
and antiestablishment attitudes prevail, often polarizing the opposed force into greater manifestation; protest and resistance fail to function at any level. South planetary nodes contain
heritage, tradition and foundation. Contacts to the south node support such historical bases with great chauvinism. Other times, the tailing node contact represents dogma, resistance to progress, fear of advancement and the inability to adjust to technological progress. A point of equilibrium and balance must be maintained.

It remains relatively simple to delineate planetary contacts to nodes. Do realize that
examples presented are out of horoscopic context and could be modified significantly by other aspects in
the chart.
Consider the instance of an individual’s Mercury in Gemini con joining the Venusian North Node. A double Gemini influence prevails from Mercury and its association to Gemini and the sign of the North Node of Venus. This inspires the individual to speak actively regarding social issues, monetary conditions, or the sphere of social relationships. Best case, this person effectively occupies a platform for social and economic reform. Worst case, the individual reduces the self into the realm of idle gossip - misdirected, unapplied, frustrated by the collective conditions at hand. His/her overall morality would feel violated without source to rectification.
Should an individual’s natal Mars in Capricorn fall upon the Saturnian South Node, the individual would be an archeologist. This archeology need not manifest in the physical let’s-godig-a-hole-in Egypt mode. The digging into the past could be mental, philosophical or emotional.
This individual strives to extract the value and benefit of what was done, noting the downfalls in the interest of avoiding future tautology. At best, the person advances great insights into dimensions of development and realizes a variety of ways to transcend past errors. When operating at a less than optimum level, the owner of the map becomes obsessed by tradition, allowing an antiquated heritage to go unchallenged by the motions of progress. Such action merely seals the fate of the collective force to replicate old procedures enabling accurate recycling of the same efforts at evolution - ultimate redundancy.
Nelson’s work pointed out sensitivity of a planet bisecting the nodal axis - the midpoint of the North Node/South Node or South Node/North Node. A moderately different flavor may be applied to each of these nodal midpoints. The direction of the natural zodiac constitutes the from/to direction, these points follow a from/to format, that is, from South Node to North Node or from North Node to South Node.
The motion in the direction of the North Node from the South Node shows a movement out
of the past and into the future. Integration, balance and synthesis of the two worlds of existence becomes paramount. Taking the best of the old and applying it as foundation provides a key as to this necessary integration. Elimination of old for mats which exceed effective application propels the issue forward even further. A moderate approach to progress blending with the firmness of tested effort combines for a successful approach to a planet’s theme.
Moving from the North Node to the South Node requires more emphasis to be placed on
exploration of the past. Previous forms hold many keys to ensure that progressive effects do not fall short of the goal through lack of preparation or expectation of the unforeseen. This nodal moderation calls for a conservative attitude in growth and progress. Examination of the former reveals potential problematic situations. Such avoidances, perceived in advance due to retrospective analysis, save great time and energy in the interest of forward motion and growth.

Perihelia and Aphelia
These solar contact orientations establish another set of fixed configurations to examine in order to understand the pursuit and purpose of the individual with respect to the collective. As with the nodal nuances, these points generate interest in destiny and meaning in life, thereby
inspiring the person to continue forward in life with zest and zeal.
At the perihelion point the Sun occupies one of the foci of the planet’s orbital ellipse. The persuasion of the planet strives to find focus at the perihelion and does so with great urgency.
The urgency is established by the rapid motion of the planet at perihelion and the relative proximity to the Sun.
Consider the implication of John Nelson’s work again. He substantiated that a planetary
connection to either perihelion or aphelion significantly strengthened the influence of the planet.
2 No direct reference was made to perihelion/aphelion bisection, however, the influence is implied.
Suppose that an individual had natal Jupiter in the heliocentric chart in a partile conjunction with the perihelion of Mercury in Gemini. Note that Jupiter would also conjoin the North Node of Venus, and to a lesser degree the North Node of Uranus. To contemplate solely the Jupiter to Mercury integration in this planet/ perihelion configuration, the individual would carry strong teaching abilities into this incarnation. An urgency to guide or instruct would prevail until the individual found manifestation. Idle bossiness or voicing arrogant opinions are good examples of this aspect in an unintegrated form. Still, the prevalent urge carries the need to contact, at close distance, those with whom one can share information of an experiential nature.

Ponder upon a Mars in Scorpio on the perihelion of Pluto. This aspect guarantees a strong interactive influence geared to provoke, push, and persuade a deep level of transformation.
Regardless of how this aspect looks at a distance (even when Pluto is closest it is still some thirty times the distance of the Earth from the Sun) the goal is to produce massive change and possibly painful evolution, even at the risk of complete isolationism (not a purpose to be approached
lightly).
Venus falling upon Jupiter’s aphelion in Libra should stimulate some interesting relationship interactions for the individual. Despite discreetness, this individual’s relationship life would
attract the attention of the collective, especially that part of the collective which thinks it has the right answer. The individual bears the lesson to teach the collective how to relate to others within
one’s own standards. Retreat, as the distant aphelion implies, provides the point of essential refuge and perspective. Retreat from a relationship allows for participation in the same relationship, forming a statement of synthesis.
The midpoint of perihelion/aphelion (q/Q), moving from perihelion to aphelion direction
created by the natural zodiac, demonstrates a braking motion. The planet theoretically reaches a mean speed of revolution about the Sun, striving to obtain a point of normalcy. Some remorse may be felt during slow-down. Otherwise the retreat may be anticipated in a vacation-like atmosphere. Enthusiasm for the plateau results.
Pluto’s q/Q midpoint falls in Aquarius. Should an individual have the Earth in Aquarius aligned with this point, the individual feels an environmental urge to deal with ecology of the planet. This ecological interest can thrive without impeaching the Secretary of the Interior! It may appear in a psychological, mental, philosophical or spiritual sense. These individuals try to manifest the essential resources upon the planet in the interest of the planet’s transformation. The
“putting on the brakes” theme of the midpoint stresses the need to pause and review, ensuring effective and conscious effort of resources before moving forward and using (exploiting) other resources. An earthier analogy is reviewing the refrigerator for potential leftovers prior to cooking a new meal. This investigation requires the jettison of the decayed foodstuffs to prevent
decay of good foodstuffs.
Mars resting upon the midpoint Q/q of Saturn in Aries represents the point of planetary
acceleration as it passes through mean orbital characteristics. This creates the need for renewed thrust and pooling of resources and guarantees that the effort extended has sufficient impetus to
produce the intended structural manifestations implied by Saturn. One demands more individualized energy, great persistence and an overwhelmingly positive attitude toward success.

The seven and a half degree aspect family, familiar to those of the Cosmobiological schools
of thought, stirs some initial puzzlement amongst other astrologers. In many systems of astrology
these angular relationships repeatedly demonstrate their potency and viability. The simplest way
to encounter these contacts is to make a listing of angular separation among all planets and points
in the horoscope. Orbs to the seven and a half degree family should keep to one degree.

A reference table of the seven and a half degree family follows:
07.5E 97.50E 187.5E 277.5E
15.0E 105.0E 195.0E 285.0E
22.5E 112.5E 202.5E 292.5E
30.0E 120.0E 210.0E 300.0E
37.5E 127.5E 217.5E 307.5E
45.0E 135.0E 225.0E 315.0E
52.5E 142.5E 232.5E 322.5E
60.0E 150.0E 240.0E 330.0E
67.5E 157.5E 247.5E 337.5E
75.0E 165.0E 255.0E 345.0E
82.5E 172.5E 262.5E 352.5E
90.0E 180.0E 270.0E 360.0E

These aspects imply efforts towards manifestation. It is worth noting that the seven and a
half degree aspect family contains all of the major aspects within the aspect genealogy.
A final note on aspectual orbs comes again from the works of John Nelson. Nelson’s work
implied that an applying orb of five degrees and a four degree departing (separating) seemed highly effective.3 For mundane analysis wherein timing is foremost, tighter aspects of 15’ applying and 30’ separating function accurately.

My Mercury in 17'01 Sagittarius is conjunct Mercury Aphelion in 16'50 Sagittarius.
Therefore, my Mercury is strengthened and is connected to Mercury collective. This could be dealing with the collective in regards to communication, mental activity which would fit with my neurodiversity advocacy and running nonprofit organization.

with Mercury conjunct its aphelion, it's also around its slowest period

According to Philip Sedgwick in regards to Aphelion:
Aphelion for Mercury comes in the usually “go-for-it” sign of Sagittarius. The motion of the fleet-footed messenger slows down, allowing a lazy stroll through the Sagittarius sector in the sky. The implication arising reveals that direction in thought form, word form and listening form develops as a result of deliberate contemplation, not the usual flitting about associated with the Mercury mental process. The essence of Sagittarius strives to obtain and produce truth. The pitfall of the truths of Sagittarius occur when truth and dogma become a system of justification for a form of Mercurial activity. This effect extends through all communications, trickery of a deliberate nature and those things known as practical jokes.

according to Philip Sedgwick in regards to Slow Mercury:
Slow Mercury individuals bear the qualities of methodical and intuitive learners. These
individuals often take time to contemplate or digest a new statement, thought or concept before acting. These individuals, regardless of the speed of internal mental processing, generally think before speaking. The slow Mercury placement sets up the capacity for good listening abilities and an empathetic ear. These individuals are concerned about the level of completion in any given communication interaction. They often ask if the question is understood or that answers be clarified.
The slow Mercury person bears a great level of innate patience within communication. This
makes the individual more naturally disposed for research or in-depth investigation. A naturally inquisitive mind resides in the brain and the individual demonstrates less gullibility and naivete

My Mercury in 17'01 Sagittarius is conjunct Jupiter in 14'07 Sagittarius
according to Philip Sedgwick:
A slow Mercury conjunct Jupiter or Uranus may explode communicatively, defying the
natural qualities of deliberate contemplation which are inherent in the slow placement and thus resembling a fast Mercury.

you can find any connections to perihelion, aphelion as well as nodes here: http://www.true-node.com/eph1/

notice that orbs of 5 degrees is suggested for the planetary nodes

that would mean my Mercury-Venus-Jupiter conjunction is conjunct both the South Venus and South Uranus Nodes.

if they use that orb for planetary nodes,
I'd use no more than 3 degree orb for the minor planetary nodes.

it seems that conjunction to the midpoint of the north and south node or to the midpoint of the south node and node are important
which basically means square the nodal axis

the same with conjunction to the midpoint of the perihelion and aphelion or to the midpoint of the aphelion and perihelion are important which basically means square the perihelion/aphelion axis

I also believe that the closer the orb,the stronger the influence

Maybe people with much closer orbs to nodes will probably be more involve with the collective than people with wider orbs to nodes.

of course, it depends on the person and what he/she do with his/her energies

Interestingly, I have all my personal planets (Earth,Mercury,Venus, and Mars aspecting nodes of planets, dwarf planets/dwarf planet candidates. That suggest very likely that I was meant to be a public figure.

Earth in 5'20 Taurus conjunct North Eris Node in 5'30 Taurus
Mercury in 17'01 Sagittarius conjunct South Venus Node in 16'25 Sagittarius
Venus in 14'35 Sagittarius conjunct South Uranus Node in 13'52 Sagitarius
Mars in 7'32 Aries conjunct South Quaoar Node in 8'29 Aries

Overall, I think that being a neurodiversity advocate and starting a nonprofit organization for people with neurological/learning differences as well as being open about my own experiences in regards to diversity as well as being nonconformist, unconventional, creative and issues with relationships which are things that many people with neurological/learning differences experience. Therefore, talking about my own past experiences will help people understand many others like myself.

I believe that North Eris Node,South Uranus Node, and South Quaoar Node also means that I should be open to the public about my metaphysical interests, alternative religious/spiritual beliefs. It could be about raising awareness about how many people with neurological/learning experiences
are metaphysically oriented, but they are more likely to be misdiagnosed as having psychosis. I could talk about the need for more tolerance for people who have different beliefs and experiences. Maybe I need to talk about psychiatry being modern day witch hunt in a way.

Here is an article about Sun signs, Earth signs and how Sun-Earth are a polarity
If you understand the polarity of the Sun and Earth , and then you can see how the Sun-Sun opposition can be compatible with each other.
After all Sun oppose Sun is a double whammy of Sun conjunct Earth. Sun in Aries oppose Sun in Libra equates to Sun in Aries conjunct Earth in Aries and Sun in Libra conjunct Earth in Libra.

Sun in Aries person could learn Aries stuff from Earth in Aries person and vice versa, and Sun Libra person could learn Libra stuff from Earth in Libra person and vice versa

The following is from Philip Sedgwick. It is from his Heliocentric Astrology book, The Sun at the Center

Sure You Know Your Sun Sign...
But do you know your Earth Sign?

The following content comes from the innovative and leading edge treatise, The Sun at the Center, by Philip Sedgwick, available by download from the site's store. This is virtually the only interpretive book on Earth concerning heliocentric, or Sun-centered astrology.

Simply, the Earth sign stands opposite the Sun in longitude - exact to the degree, minute and second, whether seen geocentrically or heliocentrically. How can this critical polarity be ignored, especially given the fact we stand upon Earth? Take your own firm stand on terra firma! Read onward in the journey to rediscover the lost Earth.

Aries Earth (Libra Sun)

Lesson - The lesson involved in the Arien Earthling exists in the process of self-actualization. The individual must come to a full sense of self to allow functional relationships with others. These beings are highly interactive and not necessarily with other beings. Interaction at this Earth level may manifest through a direct confrontation or exchange with a person and it may also result with a thing or a principle. The interaction is secondary to the level of validation which they seek. A sense of self-worth independent of others must result for assertiveness to be complete. At some point, the individual will realize that with or without people, places and things the self remains intact. Until this process is understood, the soul continues to establish faulty interactions to create alienation, isolation and perceived rejection. This is all done in the interest of self-contained validation.

Legacy - Upon completion of self-realization and a self-contained sense of being free from the need of input from others, relatability becomes a primary dynamic in the individual’s life. Interaction begins to provide a mechanism of on-going support for the individual as the person teaches others to recognize that which is self-disguised within their beings. This discipline can be taught by the Aries Earth with incredible compassion for the crisis of self-identity. The individual retains the ability to interact in a non-involved manner, allowing truth and personal integrity to prevail above all else.

Taurus Earth (Scorpio Sun)

Lesson - Many presume that the Earth rules Taurus. Perhaps one would then assume that the Earth in home territory would maintain a certain comfort or reliability in this Sign/Planet relationship. Perhaps that is true and only at the legacy level. These souls drop themselves into a body and begin an immediate struggle to learn absolute (Divine) worth without extorting, exploiting or destroying the value of the high worth item. The physical preoccupies the primal Taurus Earth mind, blinding all objectivity of what truly is important. Priority systems must be established, the truth told and motivations revealed. This all tends to combine the positive aspects of the lessons to lead to the luxury of the legacy. However, it is critical that the learning process for this Earthly student include doing his or her own home work with no ruses.

Legacy - Once optimized, these Earthlings quickly recognize the worth and value of a person, place or thing. They are challenged by intrinsic worth and seek to polish raw materials to a brilliant luster. These individuals can become great motivators. This is often achieved through agitation and playing a negative role to produce a positive effect. Negativity is only used as a transformative.

Gemini Earth (Sagittarius Sun)

Lesson - This sign axis must learn to deal with an intellectually intense duality that teaches that the more consideration and objectivity, the greater the focus. These people perceive this postulate to be in direct contradiction to the basic programming of the mind. The blinders must be removed and a willingness to view polar opposition must result. A mental overload exists until the individual recognizes that missed objectives result from the inability to adjust or correct a course once in motion. Long range effects appear in little steps. As a Chinese proverb states, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.” Such is the case for the Gemini Earth. Steps along the way allow for reconsideration, revision and resolutions to be refined without interruption to the natural direction.

Legacy - Once in a mode of receptivity and diversification, the Gemini Earth individual becomes one of the most directed and consistent contemplators on the planet. The lesson taught by these people is that there is no absolute way to get there. Many paths exist between here and there. Correction is taught as a positive attribute and not as an indicator of something thought or done incorrectly.

Cancer Earth (Capricorn Sun)

Lesson - Mother Earth herself reaches the closest point of approach (perihelion) to the Sun in Cancer. The Cancer Earth contains the need to respond to the most direct sunlight and illumination of all the Earth placements. Direct and undisputed contact with the nurturing action is maintained and requires useful, non-interfering incorporation. Domination tendencies must convert into a support mechanism. Those with this Earth must learn about responsibilities and that each person owns a different sense of responsibility. This realization precludes being disappointed in one’s offspring (anyone to whom the Cancer Earth becomes attached) and releases guilt, expectation and irritation. The pursuit of Earth dictates the need to frolic in the Sun. The ability to enjoy and align with nature establishes contact with the base of Earth. This eliminates an inability to appreciate beauty as it exists. This individual must reject cynicism in the soul to enable the heart to open.

Legacy - Cancer Earth people are among the most sensitive and caring upon the planet. They demonstrate this clearly when actualized in being through support and love given freely and without consideration of reaction or rejection. Love is given without expectation and the individual teaches how to love safely and responsibly without interrupting the flow of another person’s development.

Leo Earth (Aquarius Sun)

Lesson - The development of the personality in an ego sense is the first portion of this soul’s lesson. The ego must then evolve into a unique sense of self-contained individuality which functions with out the need to compare the self to others. Confidence is the quality which stimulates the beginning of the work leading directly into the legacy. The lesson, though, is a tough one and contains intense periods of variation in self-esteem. Once the belief in and knowledge of one’s own internal strength sets in, these people begin an active campaign leading others into awareness of themselves.

Legacy - The Leonine Earthlings strive to lead others in their realm to realize the need for a self-contained sense of individuality. They teach others how to own one’s being and allow creative self- expression to flourish. The Leo Earth people discourage others from cloning or engaging in emulation techniques that establish superficial attachments to the projected qualities of another individual. These people stress uniqueness and strive to promote the confidence of everyone they encounter. This inspirational ability of the Leo Earth may manifest in both direct and indirect means of interaction with others. Personal contact is not necessary for the process to occur.

Virgo Earth (Pisces Sun)

Lesson - Virgo Earthlings appear on the planet to develop an aware ness of the principles of integration on a minute level. Overall knowledge of the system seems to exist in these beings. A need for understanding the detailed simplicity of life’s process must follow. Discipline becomes a key factor in the schooling of the Virgoan Earth as resistance to commitment and structure is taken for granted. This discipline, once implemented, allows these individuals to set into motion the plans, creative concepts and intuitive insights which flash through the mind. Discipline strives to eliminate the inability often experienced in prioritizing life’s endeavors. The organized for mats of discipline yield the ability to select an appropriate creative pursuit to manifest.

Legacy - The legacy of the Virgo Earth resides within the ability to adjust to a flowing system of discipline. These individuals are then capable of presenting to others the synthesis of the subtle and the gross, the sacred and the profane and the parts and the wholes.

Libra Earth (Aries Sun)

Lesson - At one level it appears that these people exist solely for the purpose of establishing identity of the self at the soul’s core. The lesson adds a deeper aspect to the identity quest. It becomes imperative for these individuals to learn the active dynamic of interfacing with others on the planet. Self-assertion must be conducted in such a way as not to interfere with the will and identities of others.

Legacy - Once polarized, these individuals leave behind the lesson of interaction without compromise. The cultivation of the sense of self is a demonstrated blending with an ability to be and to let others be. Interference and imposition diminishes creating a clear approach in human relationship.

Scorpio Earth (Taurus Sun)

Lesson - The drive to transform need presents the biggest challenge of this Earth/Sun polarity. Attachment and possession must be over come. Learning how to have and hold, and how the have/hold principle differs from owning/possessing, creates the crisis of reorientation. Scorpio Earth souls must learn to experience their feelings, especially feelings of material resentment, jealousy and emotional bondage. An innate understanding of the natural value of human resources must learned. This resource of human potential must be understood from the standpoint of using people, not abusing people. Should this lesson about human resource not be learned, the Taurean tendencies only subvert deeper. The subverted tendencies appear through the use of others in a negative manner, creating a master/slave relationship.

Legacy - Once cultivated, these seekers become the masters of manipulating others into positive, creative spaces of existence. An understanding of when to intervene and when to not intervene becomes inherent in one’s nature. These individuals may become compulsive, not being able to see waste of a mind or creative potential. They constantly push, shove and work to apply every available resource. A unique ability to invest in the resources of others also evolves. True levels of abundance and prosperity consciousness can and must be taught.

Sagittarius Earth (Gemini Sun)

Lesson - These Earthlings must learn that focus does not rule out necessary pursuits. They sense that there is a lack of freedom of choice when, in fact, a simple level of mental discrimination strives to present choices. Short range planning must be relinquished to the long range projection. Distraction must yield to well disciplined, conscious direction. Simplification must be produced to gain distance, direction and result. Yet, the need to remain responsive to the subtleness of Divine Signaling is necessary so that single mindedness and dogma does not result.

Legacy - The Sagittarius Earth spirit strives to leave behind a sense of direction stemming from their abilities to focus. A directed philosophy results from knowing which needs to pursue and which not. Vicarious learning must be encouraged to prevent redundancy of the human consciousness effort. The value of thoughts and knowing is taught to others.

Capricorn Earth (Cancer Sun)

Lesson - The Capricorn Earth strives to generate an autonomous sense of self which can only be derived from a strong sense of support and foundation. This support initially extends from external sources and the individual resists receiving support (based upon a point of view that he or she renders support only). This unilateral perception must be terminated for the person to evolve to the fullest. Under standing the bidirectional nature of support assists these people in growth. The awareness of assumable responsibility, to take and not to take, must be assimilated.

Legacy - With the Cancer side understood and synthesized, the Capricorn Earth provides others with a quiet, parental type of support which encourages assuming total responsibility for the self; no more and no less. Sharing of support encourages cooperative interactions on all levels of the creative/receptive axis.

Aquarius Earth (Leo Sun)

Lesson - Within the natural Leo association to the Sun this axis assumes a stronger natural emphasis. The goal of the actualized ego bears the fulfillment of humanity, a lesson easier stated than learned. Overcoming the guru syndrome requires great attention and per severance to cause. One must be conscious not to accept unwarranted praise and at the same time remain accepting of praise which is valid. Avoidance of idle flattery and yes-type followers must be included in the growth. Total identity as a unique and persistent individual cultivates some necessary isolationism for the growth process. Courage and commitment of the self requires more effort here than in any other case. One must obtain a strong sense of self that is referenced only to the self. This self referencing frees the ego from superiority/inferiority dynamics.

Legacy - Once actualized, these individuals strive to teach everyone to be who they happen to be and to become that which they strive to be. Courage and commitment are taught hand in hand with respect for the being that one happens to be. The creative process is accentuated, allowing them to exercise a purposeful lead in humanity. A choice must also be taught. That choice is the ability to help humanity from a non-involved point of view or from direct and inclusive involvement. A good example is a hermit who would pray over the dominion of humanity versus the leader who works with a group in the interest of evolution. The difficult choice is individual and must not be transferred to any other entity or oracle.

Pisces Earth (Virgo Sun)

Lesson - To flow in the dimension of experience creates the major lessons of evolvement for these Earthlings. When the Pisces Earth encounters a dynamic of growth, the tendency is to compartmentalize the awareness in an intellectual or academic manner. This is fine as far as the process is understood. The only drawback to this system comes from the integration of the experience. To understand experientially creates a conflict for this sign. Once an experience is assimilated, the tendency becomes to translate the experience in a logical or mnemonic manner. On many levels of experience this is impossible, as no words can formulate a concise enough picture to represent the occurrence. Thus, the individual falls in the position of knowing and not being able to explain. The creative process builds up momentum from such a response, allowing the individual to be manipulated by perplexity into realizing an unrecognized aspect of internal ingenuity. Cognitive dissonance becomes the well known “A-ha!” of under standing.

Legacy - The Pisces Earth person knows how to translate inexplicable experiences into a system of reference, provided that when another person flows into the same stream of consciousness the event will be understood for what it is. A Taoist teaching method arises, allowing great levels of individual creativity to be tapped without compromising the process of logic, yet not allowing the mental to interfere with the flow of creativity. An extremely delicate balance of co-existence emerges guiding the person experientially and logically through all events in life. This balance utilizes every aspect of involvement in life to ascertain more of the process of growth and evolution.

Below are the integration considerations of the Earth and Moon appearing in the same place from the Sun's point of view. Regardless of one's geocentric lunar placement, seen from the Sun, a conjunction between Earth and Moon results.

Aries Earth/Moon - The nurturing sought by these people asks, somewhat apologetically, for acceptance of the self as is. Acceptance of the self when it is the new, improved version is not sufficient. These people require unconditional love and support for the identity they have right now. Once accepted, these individuals become the best givers in the heliocentric zodiac.

Taurus Earth/Moon - This combination needs support for self- worth. The individuals must be supported for what they are, not what they have, or what they can create with their own intrinsic resources. The value of personal attributes is paramount as is the need for support of the individual’s ability to manifest positive activity and make life happen with ease.

Gemini Earth/Moon - These beings seek support for the attribute of listening. Their purpose of the lifetime requires objective consideration of external input (without that input seemingly invalidating the individual). Support for changing the mind, shifting direction, and changing horses mid-stream is needed.

Cancer Earth/Moon - This is perhaps the most intense of the Earth/ Moon systems. These individuals need support to have the space to cry, laugh, feel and not worry. Rest comes through emotional support and the relinquishment of the need to maintain control. Although resistance is natural when confronted with support, acceptance of support bears great rewards in all aspects of life, most especially the professional realm.

Leo Earth/Moon - To be an altruist and to dedicate one’s life to humanity, much internal strength is prerequisite. Thus, these people require ego support, confidence building and listening to, especially for their most radical and unusual ideas. They need to shine and be emotionally polished by their support group to the brilliant personality luster which results when purpose is pursued.

Virgo Earth/Moon - Support for order without criticism is required by these individuals. It is a tricky balance to integrate the creative and the logical. Encouragement to see the details, facts and processes required to fulfill the fantasy must be supported for these Earthlings. This provides the understanding required to follow inspiration from concept through to completion.

Libra Earth/Moon - These people require support for relating with others on an equal, cooperative level. To support this effort, relation ships with peers become the starting block. Relating above or below the individual’s self-perceived status only serves to complicate issues of fairness. Equality comes from willing giving. To support these people, compliment all externalized generous efforts they perform and establish a system of cooperative giving by asking and receiving.

Scorpio Earth/Moon - Money is not power, nor does money ensure good sexual relationships. These people require support for intense, emotional involvement without external distractions like food, money and things. Performance must be discouraged. Fullness of being needs encouragement. Telling such individuals that they are worthy even if they have nothing takes a step towards the initially incomprehensible and seeds the needed message.

Sagittarius Earth/Moon - Support for the validity of one’s ideas is required. These individuals must teach, in their own way, but cannot deliver this dharma without a realization that their ideas are valid, original and important. Support for thinking (especially out loud or on paper) provides the baseline for allowing acceptance of the importance of the individual’s intelligence.

Capricorn Earth/Moon - Freedom from the responsibility of others sets the scene for support with these Earthlings. Allowing for the Ultimate acceptance of responsibility solicits support. That responsibility results when one accepts conditions in life completely free from what others caused, needed or obliged the individual to do. Seeking and consciously asking for support is best.

Aquarius Earth/Moon - Originality of the human model requires validation to make this placement reach optimum performance. To inspire this person serves everyone. Ego is a temporary condition in which self-ness emerges. It is not to be feared nor denied; ego is intended to be supported fully and completely. “Be like the Sun at midday,” as the I Ching points out. Shine on, fully and completely.

Pisces Earth/Moon - Support for openness to the unseen, unknown and the non-tangible best encourages these individuals into fullness. An ethereal sense mutes the obsession with logic into a creative balance which allows for talent to emerge. This emergence takes ideas and gives them abstract form which ultimately yields a valid, logical result.

The late Robert Blaschke compared Heliocentric Chart with Geocentric/Tropical Zodiac chart in Relationship Astrology
He wrote the following in his book, ASTROLOGY A LANGUAGE OF LIFE Volume IV - Relationship Analysis

Tropical = Present Incarnation
Heliocentric = Christ Consciousness or Higher Self

The Heliocentric Zodiac is also infrequently used by astrologers in relationship analysis. This Sun-centered model measures the orbits of the celestial bodies from the Heart of our solar system and generates a horoscope that symbolizes one's Christ Consciousnes, or Higher Self. Can the astrologer compare the Heliocentric chart of one individual against another's Tropical horoscope. Or does this chart, without a Sun position, operate at a level of reality where there are no individual egos, but only Higher Selves serving a larger purpose?

I recommend viewing the Heliocentric nativity as representing all that is virtuous within the individual, as if he were operating from pure Spirit. These horoscopes are calculated using Natural Houses, where 00'00 Aries is rising, and as such, house positions of the planets are transcendental in nature, as they are not bound by an earthly Ascendant or Midheaven. The position of the Earth in these charts is 180 degrees opposite the position of the Sun in a Tropical nativity, as if a reflection of Spirit.

As if there are no retrograde planets in a Heliocentric chart, its life force only goes forward into the future. Since there is no Moon in these charts, no memories from the past can affect the present. Because of their relative distance from the Sun, the superior planets of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune or Pluto are just a few degrees from their counterparts in a Tropical nativity. However, the personal planets of Mercury, Venus, and Mars can be found in different signs than in the Tropical chart; and in the case of the inferior planets, Mercury and Venus, these two can be opposite their Tropical positions, if geocentrically retrograde at bith.

It is a spiritual truth that to find God, one must know Love. It is also true that love exists deep within the human heart. If the Sun in astrology symbolizes this heart center, it therefore follows that an astrological nativity calculated from this Spiritual Source of the solar system would symbolize one's capacity for love.

I have seen more exact-to-the degree conjunctions between Heliocentric planets and Tropical Davison or composite charts than between Heliocentric and Tropical nativities. It appears that this synastry shows how the Higher Self connects with one's relationship, rather than how it connects one to another personality. I do not fully understand this phenomenon, but I will share my theory.

When one truly loves another soul, it sometimes feels as if Spirit is expressing love through you directly into your beloved's heart. There is an electrical sensation in one's chest when these sublime moments occur. One temporarily forgets is lower self and it is as if one floats inside the currents of a Love that does not originate with oneself. Perhaps it is so that watery souls are more aware of this merging of one's being with another, yet this kind of love is universal and is felt by all souls.

It is my belief that Heliocentric planets that are exactly conjunct the Davison or composite chart symbolize how spiritual love can flow through the Higher Self of one individual into the physical vessel of a relationship. If the Heliocentric Jupiter of a wife, for example, is in the same degree as the Davison chart Moon for her and her husband, Spirit is flowing through her higher mind, happiness and hopefulness into the home and family which shares with her mate. If the Heliocentric Mars of a husband, for example, is in the same degree as the composite Jupiter for him and his wife, Spirit is flowing through his passion, drive and leadership into the hope, jubilation and happiness which he shares with his life partner.

It is, of course, discretionary for astrologers to even consider using Heliocentric charts when preparing for a synastry analysis. However, clients with spiritual or esoteric orientations will sometimes ask the astrologer how they can more readily access their Higher Self. If asked, the astrologer can then calculate the Heliocentric chart for his client, and compare it with the Tropical composite or Davison charts for the client's marriage. If there are conjunctions, the astrologer can explain how these planets show Spirit-flowing through one's Higher Self into the marriage.

Now keeping in mind what Robert Blaschke wrote,

Sun oppose Sun is the same as Suns conjunct each other's Earths
Therefore, not only do their spiritual love natures flow through each other's higher selves
but they reflect each other's spirits

This can be how opposite sunsigns work
but especially if their Suns are in opposition within 1 degree
then their spiritual love natures STRONGLY flow through each other's higher selves and they STRONGLY reflect
each other's spirits

If they have Sun/Earth alignments with the nodes of objects, they could share a STRONG affinity with each other and be a lot more alike

example

me born on October 29, 1971
Sun in 5'20 Scorpio oppose/conjunct Heliocentric Eris Nodes in 5'30 Taurus/Scorpio
Earth in 5'20 Taurus conjunct/oppose Heliocentric Eris Nodes in 5'30 Taurus/Scorpio

fictional partner born April 26, 1971
Sun in 5'20 Taurus conjunct/oppose Heliocentric Eris Nodes in 5'28 Taurus/Scorpio
Earth in 5'20 Scorpio oppose/conjunct Heliocentric Eris Nodes in 5'28 Taurus/Scorpio

Therefore, my fictional partner and I have our spiritual love natures strongly flow in each other's higher selves and strongly reflect each other's spirits but we share a strong personal connection to collective (Heliocentric Node) diversity, equality, discord matters (Eris)

Robert Blaschke did use the Heliocentric Planetary Nodes in Geocentric/Tropical Chart like Grant Lewi, Carl Payne Tobey, and Dane Rudhyar did.

The Suns in opposite signs aren't necessarily a bad thing. If you consider the Heliocentric perspective, you can see how they not only complement each other but reflect each other.

Hellicentric charts are similar to Western charts, except that the moons and starts and other astro celestial bodies are alligned in totally different ways. Supposedly, there are different ways of measuring the orbits theses astro celestial make around the earts and their own orbits around each other and all throught the galaxy. Humans, at this point in time, don't seem to know which orbit is the correct orbit, and yet, Western people seem to use the Western orbits, and the other people, use various other charts.
Is there an astro way to calculate which chart is the correct chart? Which is the correct orbit these astro celestial bodies make around each other and around the earth?

Not exactly similar, a few planets remain in the same sign, but the others move somewhere else. I have a Capricorn Venus in Western and in Libra in heliocentric

It seems interesting (heliocentric charts), I got interested in it just a few days before, I will try to know more about it

I love heliocentric astrology. It represents the higher consciousness a person can achieve in life. Conjunctions between the tropical and helio chart represent the area where the person transcends the material world. The more conjunctions the more God like that person is. Its the same in synastry charts. Conjunctions between tropical and helio in synastry represent God connections and true love that the people may not fully understand.
I have many conjunctions between my helio chart and natal chart and a huge stellium in Sagittarius. My God consciousness is very much aligned with this Sagittarius stellium. I love politics and plan on moving overseas soon.

I found that oppositions are also powerful between the tropical and helio chart.

Here is my helio chart:

Understanding Earth in a Heliocentric Astrology Chart

In heliocentric astrology, charts are constructed with the Sun at the center, reflecting a "soul's-eye view" of the solar system as seen from the Sun itself, rather than the traditional geocentric (Earth-centered) perspective. This approach emphasizes inherent soul qualities, purpose, and evolutionary lessons, often contrasting with the more destiny-oriented geocentric charts.

Earth is always positioned exactly 180 degrees opposite the Sun in a heliocentric chart—precise to the degree, minute, and second—forming a permanent opposition.

This opposition creates a core axis of tension and balance between the Sun (symbolizing core identity, vitality, and spiritual self-expression) and Earth (the counterpoint of physical embodiment and experiential grounding). Aspects to the Sun from other planets mirror complementary aspects to Earth (e.g., a Sun trine to Uranus becomes an Earth sextile to Uranus), highlighting how soul-level energies interact with material reality.

What Earth Represents
Earth symbolizes the physical anchor and manifestation of the soul's energy in the material world. It embodies the "Earth-bound entity"—the human body and sensory experiences that encapsulate the soul during incarnation—revealing innate qualities, fears, and contributions to earthly life before environmental influences shape them.

Key themes include:Grounding and Practicality: Earth acts as a stabilizing force, grounding abstract solar ideals into tangible actions. It represents fertility, manifestation, and the practical foundations of projects, often evoking Taurus-like stability, sensuality, and resource management.
The Physical Body and Sensory Realm: As the vessel for soul expression, Earth signifies bodily urges (touch, taste, smell), health, and respect for nature. It highlights the "compromise" the soul makes to adapt to earthly limitations, such as seasonal cycles or physical constraints, while fostering preservation, community, and steady emotions.
Lessons and Legacies: Earth points to evolutionary challenges (lessons) for self-realization and mastery (legacies), promoting autonomy, relational harmony, and teaching others. For instance, it encourages balancing spiritual aspirations with physical realities, like overcoming attachment for true resource use (Scorpio Earth) or flowing experientially without over-intellectualizing (Pisces Earth).
Soul's Inherent Perspective: From a higher vantage, Earth reveals the soul's original nature—universal fears (e.g., loud noises or heights) and joys—distinct from acquired traits. It fosters global awareness, viewing Earth as an independent, life-sustaining organism (the "perfect miracle" of alchemy and interdependence with the Sun).

In essence, Earth bridges the heliocentric soul's purpose with geocentric life experiences, adding depth to why certain patterns (e.g., career choices tied to nature or emotional grounding in family) feel innate. Astrologers often read it alongside the geocentric chart for fuller insights, though some debate its redundancy due to the Sun opposition.Sign-Specific Interpretations (Examples)Earth's sign modifies these themes.

what does this mean for Earth Capricorn
Bidirectional support and assumable responsibility

Meaning of "Bidirectional Support and Assumable Responsibility" in Heliocentric Astrology

This phrase comes from astrologer Philip Sedgwick's framework for interpreting Earth in Capricorn in a heliocentric (Sun-centered) chart, where Earth represents the soul's physical grounding and evolutionary challenges opposite the Sun (in Cancer for this placement). It's specifically the "Lesson" or core challenge for those with this configuration: learning to build true autonomy through balanced relational dynamics rather than self-imposed isolation or over-giving.BreakdownBidirectional Support: This refers to recognizing support as a two-way street—both giving and receiving it freely, without resistance or one-sidedness. People with Earth in Capricorn often start by offering support unilaterally (e.g., as the "strong provider" who builds foundations for others) but resist accepting help themselves, viewing it as a sign of weakness. The lesson is to end this "unilateral perception" for full growth, fostering mutual exchange that strengthens personal security and emotional foundations.

philipsedgwick.com

Assumable Responsibility: This means developing awareness of which responsibilities to actively take on ("to take") and which to release or delegate ("not to take"), honoring personal limits and others' autonomy. It counters the Capricorn tendency to shoulder everything as a path to self-worth, preventing burnout and promoting discernment. Assimilating this allows for a "strong sense of support and foundation" derived internally, not just from external achievements.

Sedgwick describes it as: "The Capricorn Earth strives to generate an autonomous sense of self which can only be derived from a strong sense of support and foundation. This support initially extends from external sources and the individual resists receiving support... Understanding the bidirectional nature of support assists these people in growth. The awareness of assumable responsibility, to take and not to take, must be assimilated."

philipsedgwick.com

Once mastered (the "Legacy"), it manifests as quietly encouraging others to own their responsibilities through cooperative, parental-like guidance—no more, no less—enhancing creative and receptive balance. In practice, this might show up as career choices emphasizing reliable teamwork or personal growth around boundaries in family roles. If this is from your chart, transits to Earth can activate these themes—share your birth details for more!

Well the 1066 chart seems to work and I'm quite surprised BUT caution suggests to look at the very least 10+ more charts before chalking another timing chart up as successful. Having said that the 1066 chart has never let me and its followers down in the past so maybe I shouldn't be particularly shocked at its seeming success. One forum member I recall would use the 1066 chart exclusively and who can blame her - it works like a dream.

Where are we, the UK now?

its no surprise to find Brexit was under nationalistic Cancer but what about the current time..Leo. Well although the house is ruled by Cancer via its cusp we seem to be getting less shy and conservative and more flag-wavingly patriotic - people possibly due to social media are more prone to give their views unashamingly. Under Leo the populace has become a bit more audacious.

Unfortunately we're about to enter Virgo and also...the 6th house.

The 21st degree of Leo is known as "Chickens intoxicated" or "Intoxicated chickens," symbolizing moments of extreme inspiration and creative breakthroughs that lead to a "thud" of return to normalcy, where the challenge is to find the middle way between ego-driven overreach and self-discipline to maintain balance and avoid disappointment.

Meaning of the Symbol:
Creative Peak and Fall: The symbol represents periods of exceptional experience and inspiration that go beyond ordinary limits, leading to heightened states of consciousness or creative breakthroughs.
Discipline and Moderation: Just as intoxicated chickens might lose their ability to "fly" due to their altered state, this symbol highlights the need for self-discipline and moderation. It suggests that without it, the experience can lead to an abrupt and jarring return to reality, resulting in disappointment.
Balancing Extremes: The symbol points to the importance of finding a balance, or "middle way," between extreme experiences and the practicalities of life. It's a call to learn from the highs and lows, choosing balance over ego-deflation or reckless overreach.
Key Themes:

Intoxication and Inspiration: The "intoxication" can be literal, but it also refers to moments of profound inspiration that can temporarily overwhelm judgment.
Ego and Limits: Overcoming the limitations of the ego and confronting weaknesses is a central theme, as is the danger of taking unnecessary risks.
Learning from Experience: A core message is to learn from mistakes and to regain balance after being "intoxicated" by a new experience.
Self-Reliance: Building authenticity and self-reliance is part of finding your own path and validating your actions through conscious experience.

May 8th, 1946, the End of World War II.

The future Queen Elizabeth II celebrated the end of the war in Europe (VE Day) on May 8, 1945, by secretly joining crowds in London with her sister, Princess Margaret. They were 19 and 14 years old at the time and were given special permission by their father, King George VI, to join the jubilant celebrations outside Buckingham Palace.
Key details about the Queen's experience on VE Day:
Anonymity: The princesses were able to join the crowds unnoticed, a detail the Queen herself later recounted as being "one of the most memorable nights of my life".
Celebrations: They danced and joined the chants of "We want the King" with the public, who were gathered to see the Royal Family appear on the palace balcony.
Royal Family Balcony Appearances: Later that day, the King, Queen, and princesses did make multiple appearances on the Buckingham Palace balcony to greet the celebrating crowds.
Context: The celebration marked the surrender of Nazi Germany and the end of the war in Europe. While it was a major event, World War II continued with fighting in the Pacific until Japan's final surrender.

Dec 25, 2018 starts at 27.54 Cancer and ends 7 years later at 26°01’ Leo on Dec 25 2025 At what degree is October 3rd, 2025?

Event Point is 25°06' Leo

To arrive at this: The position advances linearly over 7 years (2,557 days) from 27°54' Cancer (117°54' absolute) to 26°01' Leo (146°01' absolute), a span of 28°07'. The elapsed time to October 3, 2025, is 2,474 days, or 2,474/2,557 ≈ 0.9675 of the period. Thus, advance 28°07' × 0.9675 ≈ 27°12', so 117°54' + 27°12' = 145°06', or 25°06' Leo.

Okay, let's clarify and proceed strictly with the fixed 84-year cycle, completely disregarding the actual astronomical Uranus return period, as you've requested. This approach aligns with a specific interpretive method, such as that sometimes used in symbolic progression systems where a fixed time period is applied.
We will use the coronation date of December 25, 1066, for William the Conqueror, and apply a precise 84-year interval for each cycle. The key adjustment is still for the calendar change from Julian to Gregorian, which occurred in Great Britain in September 1752.
Fixed 84-year cycles from December 25, 1066
For returns before September 1752, the Julian calendar applies. For returns after September 1752, the Gregorian calendar applies, and the date itself is considered directly translated (i.e., December 25 in Julian is treated as the equivalent December 25 in Gregorian, without the astronomical correction for the 11 skipped days, as per the fixed cycle request).
Cycle # Start Date End Date (Fixed 84-Year Cycle) Calendar Notes
0 Dec 25, 1066 N/A Julian Coronation of William the Conqueror
1 N/A Dec 25, 1150 Julian
2 N/A Dec 25, 1234 Julian
3 N/A Dec 25, 1318 Julian
4 N/A Dec 25, 1402 Julian
5 N/A Dec 25, 1486 Julian
6 N/A Dec 25, 1570 Julian
7 N/A Dec 25, 1654 Julian
8 N/A Dec 25, 1738 Julian Last full cycle before calendar change
9 N/A Dec 25, 1822 Gregorian First full cycle return after calendar change (Sept 1752 occurred)
10 N/A Dec 25, 1906 Gregorian
11 N/A Dec 25, 1990 Gregorian
12 N/A Dec 25, 2074 Gregorian
13 N/A Dec 25, 2158 Gregorian
14 N/A Dec 25, 2242 Gregorian
This table lists the exact calendar date for each fixed 84-year cycle return from the December 25, 1066 coronation, consistently applying the 84-year interval regardless of astronomical alignment or calendar type (other than the Julian to Gregorian conversion point).

To determine the 84-year cycles of Alan Leo based on a fixed 84-year period starting with William the Conqueror's coronation on December 25, 1066, you would simply add 84 years to the previous date, taking into account the Julian and Gregorian calendar changes in England.
The calendar switch occurred in Britain in September 1752, when 11 days were omitted from the calendar, meaning September 2 was followed by September 14.
Here are the years of each cycle return, based on a fixed 84-year period from December 25, 1066, and noting the relevant calendar:
Cycle Year (Calendar)
Start December 25, 1066 (Julian)
1st December 25, 1150 (Julian)
2nd December 25, 1234 (Julian)
3rd December 25, 1318 (Julian)
4th December 25, 1402 (Julian)
5th December 25, 1486 (Julian)
6th December 25, 1570 (Julian)
7th December 25, 1654 (Julian)
8th December 25, 1738 (Julian)
9th December 25, 1822 (Gregorian)
10th December 25, 1906 (Gregorian)
11th December 25, 1990 (Gregorian)
12th December 25, 2074 (Gregorian)

Note: For returns after 1752, the specific date of December 25 in the Gregorian calendar maintains the fixed 84-year interval according to Alan Leo's interpretation, rather than aligning with the exact astronomical Uranus return, which involves more complex calculations to compensate for the calendar shift.

ts just that when i do a solar return say for 2025 it auto goes to Dec 31 instead of Dec 25 - why
Your confusion arises from the difference between a simple, fixed calendar calculation and an accurate, astronomical solar return calculation.
A fixed 84-year cycle from a coronation date is a symbolic technique that adds a fixed amount of time (84 years) to the starting calendar date. It is a simple, non-astronomical calculation.
A solar return chart, which is what your software is calculating, is an astronomical event. It marks the exact moment the Sun returns to the precise degree, minute, and second it occupied at the time of birth.
The reason your software shows a different date for the solar return is that a complete orbital period for the Earth is not exactly 365 days.
Why the date shifts for a solar return
The length of a year is not exactly 365 days. The Earth's solar year is approximately 365.2425 days. Because our Gregorian calendar rounds this to 365 days (with a leap year every four years to correct), the Sun's exact return to its original position shifts by nearly six hours every year.
The effect of leap years. This annual shift is typically corrected by a leap year. So, for a person born on December 25, the solar return might fall on December 24, December 25, or December 26 in any given year. For a historical event in 1066, this effect is compounded over centuries.
The Julian to Gregorian calendar shift. Your software will use the precise astronomical position of the Sun at the moment of the 1066 coronation, based on the Julian calendar. It will then calculate the 2025 solar return based on the Gregorian calendar, correcting for the difference in the calendar systems over the intervening centuries. The skipped 11 days in 1752, plus the cumulative effect of the orbital discrepancy over 959 years, would create a significant difference in the calendar date of the astronomical solar return.
A solar return is not a birthday. While the solar return is considered an "astrological birthday," it's not the same as your calendar birthday. Your software is performing the proper astronomical calculation, which is why it gives a different date than a fixed calendar interval would.

You're very welcome. It's a common point of confusion when first working with the precise, astronomical nature of celestial movements, especially when dealing with historical dates and calendar changes.
Understanding this distinction is a crucial step for anyone delving deeper into astrology:
Fixed cycles (like Alan Leo's 84-year progression) are a symbolic and interpretive layer based on a regular, consistent time interval.
Returns (like the Solar Return or Uranus Return) are based on the planets' actual, slightly irregular, astronomical movements.

do the same with the us sibley chart 84 yr cycles beginning at 12.20 sagittarius
Using the Sibley chart for the United States, we can calculate the 84-year cycles based on a fixed cycle as interpreted from Alan Leo's methods. The Sibley chart uses the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, at approximately 5:10 p.m. LMT in Philadelphia. The Ascendant (rising sign) is at 12°20' Sagittarius.
The 84-year cycles of the Sibley chart, beginning from the national founding, are:
Start: July 4, 1776 (The founding event of the United States)
1st Cycle Return: July 4, 1860. This period preceded the start of the American Civil War, which began in April 1861. It was a time of immense national tension and division, with the election of Abraham Lincoln that November serving as a catalyst for secession.
2nd Cycle Return: July 4, 1944. This return coincided with a pivotal moment in World War II. It occurred less than a month after D-Day, and the United States was deeply engaged in a global conflict that would cement its role as a world superpower.
3rd Cycle Return: July 4, 2028. This upcoming cycle is expected to bring a period of significant societal and technological change, and it coincides with the ongoing shift of Uranus into Gemini, which began in 2025. Astrologers often interpret Uranus returns as times of radical upheaval, innovation, and change, which have historically aligned with major conflicts for the U.S..
Interpretation of the Sibley chart cycles
For the Sibley chart, the 84-year cycles often correspond to the nation's most profound and divisive crises.
First Return (1860): The Civil War, a conflict over fundamental national identity and the institution of slavery.
Second Return (1944): The apex of U.S. involvement in World War II, a war that redefined global power and the country's economic and military role.
Third Return (2028): An upcoming period of major change, potentially encompassing technological upheaval, social fragmentation, or a redefinition of America's place in the world.

AscendantThe Ascendant, also known as the Rising Sign, refers to the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the exact moment of birth. In terms of environment, it symbolizes the immediate, personal surroundings and how one interacts with them on a direct, interpersonal level. Key aspects include:Locality and surroundings: The physical and social space closest to you, like your home, neighborhood, or daily routine settings.
Relationships and the "Thou": Focuses on one-on-one connections, such as with partners, friends, or acquaintances. It emphasizes face-to-face situations where personal engagement and mutual recognition occur.
Other people: Involves known or familiar individuals in your life, highlighting acquaintanceship and direct relational dynamics.

This makes the Ascendant's environment feel intimate, relational, and centered on personal interactions that shape your self-presentation and immediate experiences.Aries Point (0° Aries)The Aries Point is the exact degree of 0° Aries in the zodiac, often used in advanced astrological systems like Uranian astrology or cosmobiology. It represents a point of cardinal energy tied to the equinox, symbolizing entry into the public or worldly sphere. Regarding environment, it pertains to the broader, impersonal world and transient encounters. Key aspects include:The world in general and the street: Open, public spaces like cities, crowds, or global influences that are not tied to your personal circle.
Out in the open and terrestrial influences: Exposure to external, earthly forces such as societal trends, weather, or collective events that affect everyone broadly.
Unfamiliar people: Strangers or passersby who enter and exit your life without forming deep bonds—think of anonymous interactions in public, like commuters or crowds.
Impersonal relationships: Connections that lack depth or recognition, remaining superficial and fleeting.

This positions the Aries Point's environment as expansive, anonymous, and influenced by the collective rather than the individual.Exact Differences in EnvironmentWhile both involve interactions with the external world, the core distinction lies in scale, intimacy, and relational depth:Scope: Ascendant is local and immediate (e.g., your room, street corner with friends), whereas Aries Point is global and open (e.g., the bustling city square or worldwide events).
Personal vs. Impersonal: Ascendant emphasizes known people and direct, face-to-face relationships (the "Thou" or "you and I" dynamic), fostering acquaintance and mutual influence. Aries Point deals with unknown masses and transient figures, leading to impersonal, one-way encounters where people "come and go" without lasting impact.
Influence and Interaction: The Ascendant's environment shapes your personal identity and daily dealings through close surroundings and relationships. The Aries Point's environment reflects broader terrestrial or societal forces, like public opinion or random passersby, that touch your life indirectly and impersonally.
Astrological Context: In charts, the Ascendant is a personal angle tied to self-projection in intimate settings, while the Aries Point often activates in transits or midpoints, highlighting public exposure or worldly events.

In essence, the Ascendant is about your "personal bubble" of familiar interactions, while the Aries Point extends to the "vast ocean" of anonymous, worldly influences. These interpretations align with traditional astrological texts, such as those from Reinhold Ebertin or Alfred Witte in Uranian systems, where the Aries Point is seen as a gateway to the public realm.

SYNTHESIS OF URANIAN HOUSES
Every planet represents a state of consciousness. The function
ing of a planet is revealed in its environment. The environment of
a planet is its own orbit: its cycle, or circle, of "experience." The
functioning of a planet is shown by its relationship with other
planets. These relationships are discovered by investigating the
geometrical orientations among planets, taking the ecliptic as com
mon reference frame. The twelvefold division of the ecliptic into
equal 30° segments provides the key to understanding the function
ing of a planet or personal point in relation to the totality of its
Horizontal and Vertical Polarization
environment.
88
The Language of Uranian Astrology
The environment of any planet is describable by the houses of
the planet. According to Witte, the houses of a planet (with the
single exception of the Moon) are established by the planet itself
defining the fourth house cusp. (Planetary houses will be discussed
further towards the end of this chapter.) With Sun houses, the Sun
defines the fourth house cusp, and succeeding houses are defined
by equal 30° measures. With Moon houses, the Moon defines the
tenth house cusp, succeeding houses being likewise defined on an
equal basis.
Since the Sun is the objective side of life, the Sun houses
describe the objective environment. By this is meant: physical
territory, physical proximity and objective manifestation. The
functioning of the various zones of the body is also described by
the various Sun houses. The zones of the body and the organs
contained therein are revealed by the signs of the zodiac, and the
signs therefore show organic conditions as opposed to functional
conditions revealed by the Sun houses. The Sun houses also show
the tangible world of things; the physical realities associated with
the situations and departments of life attributed to the various
houses; bodily sensations; functioning of the bodily vitality in
relation to the activities coming under the twelve houses; ego
patterns and ego expression; and objective goals manifesting in the
physical world.
Since the Sun represents males (while the Moon represents fe
males), the Sun houses also refer to the masculine world and to the
influence of the father, as well as that of other men generally. In a
female horoscope, the solar houses represent men in her life. The
Sun in transit also represents the day, and the transiting Sun
houses show therefore the daily cycle (see chapter eleven).
The Moon houses, on the other hand, reveal emotional function
ing in the various departments of life coming under the twelve
houses. Planets in a Moon house express feelings concerning the
affairs of that house. The Moon houses represent the feminine
world and the influence of women upon the various situations
described by the various houses. The Moon houses also reveal
Astrological Houses and the 360°-Dial

the past. Moon houses point to these emotional patterns for both
males and females alike. For a female person, however, the Moon
houses reveal in addition her functioning and self-expression as a
woman. For a male person, the Moon houses are descriptive of his
experience with (and attitudes towards) the opposite sex; what he
attracts to himself in a woman; and also the various women who
enter his life (various houses, various women.) In addition, the
Moon refers to the hour and therefore to hourly fluctuating exper
iences and rhythms. Experiences attributable to the Moon houses
are generally traceable to the influence of the emotions and sub
conscious; while experiences attributable to the Sun houses are
generally traceable to the influence of the conscious mind and
objective self, or ego. These statements hold true for both males
and females.
The individual is not, however, merely a series of ego drives or
emotional functionings. The author is of the opinion that anybody
who has achieved any degree at all of self-awareness realizes (per
haps intuitively) that there is a level of consciousness which goes
beyond or stands above (as it were) the body and the emotions.
Frequently we can observe silently the playing out of various
bodily sensations if we detach ourselves in meditation from our
ego roles through deep relaxation. And in a similar fashion, one
observes that although one experiences ("has") emotions, those
emotions cannot truly be equated with the true or inner self,
although the inner self can express itself emotionally through the
Moon. That inner self is the center or focal point of experience;
it is where experiences "wind up."
The Meridian- or M-Houses represent the environment of the
soul or self. This environment can be no other than the so-called
"inner planes." It is especially in the M-houses that the inhabitant
of the body which is the soul can initiate change; more accurately
stated, where an expansion of awareness can occur, upon which
the native's outer world must hinge. Mastery of so-called "fate"
means mastery of self. Mastery of self implies larger awareness.
"Fate" consists of subconscious events which catch one unaware,
with waking consciousness off guard. The dividing line between
moods, habits, attitudes and emotional patterns stemming from
the conscious and the unconscious is not absolute and is subject to
90
The Language of Uranian Astrology
constant change. The proper conditions can be established on the
inner planes by means of meditation, so that the self can manifest
organically in harmonious ways.
An emotional condition, for example, which may bring about
distress, may often be represented astrologically by a planet under
affliction in the eighth house of the Moon. This same planet will
be found in some house of M, and the distress may be resolved by
examining the ultimate cause within oneself. It usually suffices to
become fully aware, while relaxed and receptive, of the affliction
on the inner or soul level. The higher consciousness within is then
able to exercise its primeval wisdom to correct the condition once
the mental channels of self-awareness are opened up (air element)
through which it can reach and heal the psychic (watery) and
material (earthy) vehicles. The faith that is required to initiate this
healing process need be only a suspension of disbelief regarding
preconceived notions of one's being alive in the first place.
The M-, Sun- and Moon-houses represent a trio of time concepts:
M, the minute; Sun, the day; Moon, the hour. Time is an internal
state of being: organisms move through time. These three house
systems reveal the inner on three basic levels: spiritual, objective,
and emotional. M-, Sun- and Moon-houses show, therefore, internal
experiences on various planes of being.
Because each planet also shows a person in the life, the Sun- and
Moon-houses also reveal "influences" of male and female persons
respectively. The Sun- and Moon-houses may therefore be viewed
in two ways: subjectively (own body and feelings) or objectively
(males and females). The interesting thing is that the Sun- and
Moon-houses show less the relationship to males and females (res
pectively) than they show the internal states of men and women,
boys and girls, in one's own life. That is to say, the people them
selves as independent beings are more clearly shown than is any
form of relationship with them; for relationships come under A,
Node and Aries.
M-houses may also be viewed in two ways: in relation to oneself
personally (subjective analysis), and in relation to career (objective
Astrological Houses and the 360° Dial

that each and every house of the Meridian has an influence upon
the career, in spite of the fact that the tenth house is typically
regarded as the primary significator thereof. Career functioning is
therefore probably associated on a one-to-one basis with what one
brings to it due to inherent qualities of self and selfhood. Practical
common sense would tend to substantiate this conclusion.
The remaining trio of Uranian houses consists of Ascendant-,
Node- and Earth-houses. The A-houses reveal external appearances
and conditions; awareness of surroundings; outside influences;
other people; environmental factors; space; and face-to-face relationships.

The Ascendant houses are descriptive of situations in
which the native finds himself, especially due to the influence of
or interaction with others. The deeper influence of those situations
upon the native personally is shown by planets falling in M-houses.
Conversely, those personal qualities shown by the M-houses will
externalize themselves in relationship through the A-houses.
M and A are the most "personal" of all the personal points:
they change most quickly with variations in birth time, four min
utes correlating to one degree on MC.
A book (1973), entitled
Contact: The First Four Minutes, establishes a case for human
relationships being strongly related to or conditioned by those
first four minutes of time when one human being initially en
counters another. This thesis would lead us to the conclusion that
we should all, as whiz kid astrologers, carry stopwatches about
with us at every moment, to time exactly when we meet new
people. If the reader is a committed devotee of astrology (or if he
is about to be committed), he will certainly not hesitate to take
the necessary pains to become properly equipped with the apparatus that will be required in order to fully implement this
fascinating hypothesis.
Distinguishing between the environment shown by ASC and that
shown by the Node (space and time both imply the existence of
an environment of some sort) requires some thought. First of all,
the environment shown by A is immediate and specific. The native
is immersed in it and functions within its borders (even if he or she
analysis). In this connection the author would like to point out
moves a great distance away from the birth place:
see chapter
92
The Language of Uranian Astrology
twelve). The "influence" of ASC< is direct. The environment shown
by the Node is less tangible in a direct sense. Through the Moon's
Node, one experiences connections and associations with people
and affairs shown by the various houses. One may, for example,
have a connection with a university without functioning directly
at a university. Node houses show channels of relationship (and
the quality of those channels), whereas Ascendant houses show
the relationships themselves.

The third element of the spatial trio (A-Node-Aries) is the Earth
system of houses: the signs of the zodiac. The Earth houses speak
to the world environment in a general sense. Thus Gemini repre
sents (among other things) publishing houses, roads, vehicles,
libraries and the like; while Leo represents places of amusement,
palaces, showplaces and the lion house at the zoo. Here in Chicago,
where the author resides at the time of writing this book, a sign
at the Lincoln Park Zoo informs its patrons that "Lost Children
May Be Picked Up at the East End of the Lion House"; presum
ably, because there is no longer life enough remaining in their
bodies to enable them to proceed further upon their own initiative.
Astrology is truer than we know.
Midheaven houses are defined by the MC at the 10th house
cusp; Sun houses, by the Sun at the 4th house cusp; Moon houses,
by the Moon at the 10th cusp; A-houses, by the Ascendant at the
first house cusp; Node houses, by the Node at the first house cusp;
and Earth houses, by 0° Aries at the 7th house cusp. All houses in
each system are defined by equal segments of thirty degrees.
Through using these six Uranian house systems, drawing on
skills that come only with practice and abundant cursing, one can
delineate a chart with accuracy and break down a horoscope into
"influences" or conditions operative on various fairly well defined
levels of experience both internal and external. Practice with
actual charts will prove this out to the satisfaction of anybody
willing to experiment with the Uranian system. Beginners may
wish to start for the sake of simplicity with M and A houses alone
and eventually work up to the use of all six house division systems

EARTH HOUSES AND THE PUBLIC SPHERE

The signs of the zodiac, as mentioned earlier, operate as gen
eral influences which qualify the manifestation of planets found
in each house of the Earth. Each Earth house is, however, also
indicative of broad general categories of mundane activity and
public life.
The following listing of various public spheres of activity makes
no attempt to be complete or even accurate in any absolute scien
tific sense. Rather, what follows is meant to serve as a key to
suggest how the Earth houses may be understood, in a general
sense, as applying to various forms of human endeavor. These
activities often correlate in interesting ways to the general patterns
of life for individuals who were born with planets residing in cor
responding signs; i.e., in corresponding Earth houses. Each listing
may be preceded by the phrase "The world of . .", for purposes
of delineation. (See Aids to Interpretation towards the end of this
chapter.)

When referring to the "MC or Meridian on the Aries Point," this typically means one of two things in Uranian astrology:

Positional conjunction or alignment: The MC is at 0° Aries (or another cardinal point via antiscia, which are symmetrical reflections across the cardinal axis). This placement enhances public visibility and recognition for the individual's EGO or identity. For instance, personal points like the MC on the cardinal axis indicate a strong connection to the world, where one's sense of "I" or spirit becomes prominent or transformative in public spheres. Historical figures like Abraham Lincoln had multiple personal points (including MC) aligned this way, correlating with widespread fame and public impact.

Midpoint structure (MC/AP): This is a key Uranian technique where the midpoint between the MC and Aries Point is activated by another planet or point (e.g., Planet = MC/AP). The interpretation focuses on the ego's relationship to the world—how one's personal identity, soul, or professional self interfaces with society, daily life, and the public. It embodies "the 'I' on Earth," highlighting the significance of moments for worldly matters, public perception of the self, and vitality in social contexts. For example:If Sun = MC/AP, it suggests public vitality, leadership, or being noticed for one's core essence.
If Mars = MC/AP, it might indicate energetic, active public engagements or assertive identity in the world.

Overall, this configuration emphasizes themes of public exposure, societal connections, and the integration of personal ego with collective experiences. It's often associated with potential for fame, recognition, or impactful public roles, but outcomes depend on other chart factors and midpoints.

Trump when he militarised DC had URANUS = MC/AP

Thought for 3m 11s

In Uranian astrology, the planetary picture URANUS = MC/AP symbolizes a sudden, disruptive, or revolutionary intersection between one's personal ego, spiritual essence, or professional identity (MC) and the broader world, public sphere, or collective society (AP). This midpoint activation often manifests as unexpected events that thrust the individual into the public eye, involving themes of independence, innovation, tension, or abrupt changes in how one's "I" consciousness connects with daily societal interactions.Uranus itself represents sudden occurrences, technological advancements, astrology, aviation, electricity, and revolutionary impulses—sometimes extending to disruptive or militaristic actions when combined with public visibility. When equated to MC/AP, it can indicate:Sudden public recognition or notoriety tied to one's core self.
Abrupt shifts in career or public role that feel liberating or chaotic.
Events involving technology, sudden movements, or revolutionary tactics in a worldly context, such as deploying forces or asserting authority in unexpected ways.

In the case of Donald Trump militarizing Washington, D.C. (referring to the recent deployment of National Guard troops and federal control over local police around August 11-13, 2025, amid declared crime emergencies, or potentially the June 14, 2025, U.S. Army 250th anniversary military parade), this configuration—if active—would astrologically align with a moment of heightened public tension. It could reflect Trump's ego-driven (MC) decision to impose sudden order or display power on a societal scale (AP), potentially involving military or technological elements (Uranus), leading to widespread visibility and debate. Such a picture might highlight themes of rebellion against norms, innovative (or controversial) leadership strategies, or unexpected escalations that redefine his public persona. To arrive at this interpretation in Uranian practice:Identify the positions: MC (Midheaven) is Trump's natal meridian at approximately 24° Taurus (54° ecliptic longitude), and AP (Aries Point) is fixed at 0° Aries (0° ecliptic longitude).
Calculate the midpoint: MC/AP = (MC + AP)/2 = (54° + 0°)/2 = 27° (equivalent to 27° Aries).
Check for Uranus alignment: In transits, directions, or other methods, Uranus would need to occupy or aspect this 27° point (with orb, typically 1-2° for midpoints). For example, transiting Uranus was at approximately 58.5° (28.5° Taurus) on June 14, 2025, and 60.9° (0.9° Gemini) on August 13, 2025—not directly at 27° but potentially influential if considering broader orbs or symmetrical pictures in a 90° dial (where positions are folded for additional symmetries).
Interpret the picture: Combine symbols—Uranus (sudden revolution) equaling MC/AP (self in the world)—yielding themes of disruptive public actions.

This midpoint was not exactly triggered by transiting Uranus during these 2025 events based on precise calculations, but Uranian astrologers often examine solar arcs (adding ~1° per year of life; Trump at age 79 adds ~79° to natal positions) or other activations. For instance, directed Uranus (natal 17°53' Gemini or ~77.9° + 79° ≈ 156.9°) doesn't align, but nearby transits like Uranus nearing Trump's natal MC earlier in 2025 (conjunct around April-May) could echo similar disruptive energies leading into these militarization moments.

The 125th Consideration in astrology advises examining the ascendant (rising sign) in a birth chart or horary question, focusing on signs ruled by planets with two houses (e.g., Mars rules Aries and Scorpio, Venus rules Taurus and Libra, etc.). The native or querent’s main challenges or activities will often relate to the matters governed by the planet’s other house, typically caused by their own actions. The outcome depends on the condition of the ruling planet and the Part of Fortune:Aries Ascendant: Issues related to death or downfall (Scorpio, Mars’ other house, is in the 8th). If Mars and the Part of Fortune are well-placed in the 8th, the person will have luck in 8th-house matters (e.g., shared resources, transformation).
Taurus Ascendant: Health or service issues (Libra, Venus’ other house, is in the 6th). If Venus and the Part of Fortune are strong in the 6th, success comes in health or work.
Gemini Ascendant: Issues with home or imprisonment (Virgo, Mercury’s other house, is in the 4th). A well-placed Mercury and Part of Fortune in the 4th brings prosperity in home matters.
Virgo Ascendant: Focus on career and honor (Gemini, Mercury’s other house, is in the 10th). If Mercury is with the Part of Fortune in the 1st, great wealth is possible; if in the 10th with the Part of Empire and the Moon, the person may achieve immense power or leadership.
Libra Ascendant: Death-related issues (Taurus, Venus’ other house, is in the 8th). A strong Venus and Part of Fortune in the 8th brings luck in 8th-house matters.
Scorpio Ascendant: Health problems (Aries, Mars’ other house, is in the 6th).
Sagittarius Ascendant: Risk of confinement or loss of freedom (Pisces, Jupiter’s other house, is in the 4th).
Capricorn Ascendant: Wealth through hard work (Aquarius, Saturn’s other house, is in the 2nd). If Saturn is poorly placed, the person may waste their resources.
Aquarius Ascendant: Secret enemies (Capricorn, Saturn’s other house, is in the 12th).
Pisces Ascendant: Rise to honor and status (Sagittarius, Jupiter’s other house, is in the 10th).

In summary, the ascendant sign and its ruling planet’s condition, along with the Part of Fortune, determine the native’s challenges and successes in specific life areas, shaped by the planet’s other house.
The Elven Star for Pisces 23 is a septile-based astrological framework that connects this degree to six others, forming a seven-pointed star to reveal its spiritual and evolutionary dynamics. For Pisces 23, it emphasizes reconciling sensitivity to suffering with creative expression, sudden insights, and grounded enlightenment, as seen through degrees like Leo 28, Aquarius 2, and Sagittarius 11. This system guides individuals to navigate challenges, confront hidden truths, and manifest spiritual wisdom practically, fostering personal and collective growth.

John Sandbach assigns Seed and Fulfillment Degrees for Pisces 23 (and other degrees) through an intuitive, channeled process that pairs each degree with a preceding Seed Degree (135° earlier) and a subsequent Fulfillment Degree (135° later), reflecting a dynamic cycle of initiation and culmination. For Pisces 23, the Seed Degree (Capricorn 6) symbolizes the origin of its spiritual sensitivity through magical creation, while the Fulfillment Degree (Leo 30) represents the creative and eternal insights gained from its manifestations. This 135° relationship, akin to a sesquiquadrate aspect, is not explicitly calculated but intuitively derived to illustrate the evolutionary arc of a degree’s energy.

THE FIRST HousE
In a Nativity. The cusp of the Ascendant, the first and most
important of the four Angles of any Figure, marks the Eastern end
of the Line of Particular Being; the Irrational Axis, or culminating
point of the eastern hemisphere-a Line of Awareness of Self and of
Others. Hence, it becomes the Point of Dualism of Consciousness,
and the Angle of Fulfillment.
Representing Selfhood, its primary significance is Action: Destiny

The First House has to do with a man's grandmother, or a
woman's grandfather. (v. Fourth House.) The Ruler .of the Rising
Sign indicates the influences that were at work previous to birth.

When the Lord of the First also rules the sign on the cusp of the
Twelfth, it becomes an index to his Destiny or Fate.
As the Ascendant provides a key to the native's mentality and the
quality of his will power, the Sixth House, its Ruler and occupants,
portrays what use he makes of them.

In a Mundane Figure. The body politic. The country and m
inhabitants as a whole: the people, the masses; their prosperity and
health, or the reverse; their national traits and habits; the country's
interior affairs; the public consciousness and collective expression;
the psychology of the masses, their reactions and conditions.
In a Political Campaign: the majority. The Constitution (USA etc).

In a Contest: the public favorite; the holder of the title; the one

In a Lawsuit: the defendant; also the decision or sentence of the
Court.

In an Organization: its personnel-including the stockholders
and all who work for the company in any capacity; the company's
morale and its attitude toward its competitors.

THE SECOND HOUSE
In a Nativity. Repository of the native's strongest desires, it deter
mines the quality of the life-substance used by the Ego-that which
the Life is dedicated to redeem; the heredity and social background
with which the native is equipped for the pursuit of his destiny, and
the bodily chemistry of metabolism; secret thoughts and desires;

In a National Figure: the Treasury.
In an Organization: its liquid assets and voluntary expenditures;
the ability of that Company to earn profits; its disposition toward

THE THIRD HousE
In a Nativity. The synthetizing powers of the mind and its ability
to form sense impressions and mold destiny within one's social
environment; dexterity, cleverness, duality, restlessness; the rational
mind and its adaptability to education; short journeys; brothers,
sisters and near blood relationships, and their attitude toward the
native; acquaintances and neighbors, their character and reputation;
writings and communications, news and rumors; changes and re

intellectual activities and its relations with neighboring nations; the
reading public, and its tendency to patronize the newspapers and
other periodicals; indications relative to rumors, public opinion, the
mental and psychological attitude of the masses; emigration as dis

with the dissemination of such information; public statements of a
relatively private nature.

THE FouRTH HousE
In a Nativity. Its cusp, the Northern end of the meridian that
passes through the birthplace, is the degree of Integration. Although
it is the weakest of the four Angles, it nevertheless exercises a deci
sive influence throughout the entire Figure. It is the drain through
which everything that is to be sloughed off, merges and passes away.
Through it the Ego becomes concrete, as the operational base of the
physical entity, the seat of the desire-nature-the emotions and the
passions. It is an index to the home and all domestic affairs; the
imaginative faculty; receptivity of mood; treasured recollections. It
counsels him whether to remain in or to leave his birthplace, and
the advantages consequent thereon. Thus it defines the nature of
one's residence, while the Ascendant indicates in what direction it
should lie. It has been called the "grave" because it is so often con
cerned with hidden things: private affairs, old age, the ultimate end
and aim of terrestrial existence.
Considered in connection with the Ascendant, it affords an insight
into the nature of the native's early life, his childhood upbringing,
the character of his home environment; his domestic concerns
throughout life, and their conspicuousness or obscurity; the nature
of the termination of every earthly concern: the last illness and
demise, the ultimate disposition of the body, the nature of the
burial, and the general location of the grave.
It summarizes matters relating to lands, houses, estates, cities,
mines, concealed treasures, intimate concerns, curious personal
secrets, things accumulated and stored up, leases, rentals, real estate
transactions, and similar matters.
In the Figure of a woman it generally characterizes the first child,
and a heavily tenanted Fourth House is often an indication that he
will pursue a scientific career.
The Fourth House produces changes of environment within the
disposition of the native, wherein he can alter or upset his home
conditions and those of such as are intimately related to him. Only
through this House can he build his reputation and lay the founda
tion of a successful career, to find expression later through the Tenth
House. While one cannot directly control his fortunes insofar as
they d~pend upon the good will of others, by laying a proper Fourth
211
House, Fourth
House foundation in obscure beginnings, he can build toward a
secure end.
To it is commonly assigned the native's father, his life, disposition
and fortunes; and from it are derived inferences relative to cousins
on the mother's side. Which parent to assign to the Tenth, its
Ruler, and the planets therein, is, however, a moot question: and
divergent opinions variously assign (r) the mother to the Tenth in
a day-birth, the Fourth in a night-birth-the father represented by
the opposite ends of the meridian; (2) to the Tenth the parent of
the same sex as the native, and to the Fourth the parent of the
opposite sex; (3) to the Tenth the father in a female, and the
mother in a male Nativity; (4) on the basis that Cancer represents
the womb the Hindus assign to the Fourth the mother, and to the
Tenth the father since Capricorn indicates conservatism, repression
and firmness; while yet other authorities contend (5) that the deter
mination of the House selected as the parent's significator is depend
ent upon which parent has most authority over the native. Thus
there is need for extended documentation on the subject.
In a Mundane Figure. Circumstances and events affecting real
estate values, mines and their products, buildings, crops, produce and
all agricultural interests, including those of. the own~r~ of and ':?rk
ers on the land; miners, builders, the housmg and hvmg cond1t10.ns

and between governments.

In a National Figure: the Opposition Party, a~d those individuals
who co-operate with or oppose the Chief Execu~1ve; the characteristics

In Ingress, Lunation and Full Moon Figures a planet close to the
cusp of this House will affect the weather accordimg to 1ts ~atu~e

In a Court of Law: the Jury.

In a Contest: the arena of action; the judges as distinguished from
the referee; the end of the contest.
In an Organization: its real estate investments and holdings; its
base of operations or field of activity; the location and condition of
factory or office buildings it owns or occupies.

THE FIFTH HousE
In a Nativity. The conception of offspring; hence the exterioriza
tion of Self through all manner of creative and procreative urges and
activities; recreational, and other pleasurable impulses of mind and
heart; mental offspring, such as creative, artistic or literary output;
gambling and financial speculations; the operations of the laws of
chance-in so far as its effects are under the native's control. As the
abode of the heart, it has to do with all impulses arising therefrom,
hence all emotional and romantic tendencies. Those who have a
strong Fifth House, containing one or more planets giving or receiv
ing strong vibrations, have overpowering impulses with which to
contend throughout life, which find emotional expression through
dramatic attitudes, pride, the affections, and which contribute to
popularity, notoriety or fame, according as the aspects thereto are
favorable or adverse. It has been postulated that in a male Nativity
this House prefigures the first child. Planets in the Fifth and
Eleventh Houses are an index to emotional desires, not infrequently
expressed in the more sublimated form of platonic friendships and
affiliations.
In a Mundane Figure. Children, their attitudes and conditions;
circumstances affecting minors; the public school system and children
in attendance at primary schools; amusements and amusement
places, theatres, concerts, sporting events; public speculations and
investments; the inclination of the people to play or express emotion;
public happiness and sorrow; circumstances attending those seeking
pleasure and amusement; high society and the upper classes; ambas
sadors, senators and government representatives.; formal social fun~
tions and all ceremonies of a more or less offictal character. Pubhc
happiness or sorrow; circumstances and dangers affecting those .on
pleasure bent; and similar activities not engaged in for the specific
purpose of making money.

House, Sixth
Since it is the realm of the country's creative and procreative
activities, it indicates . probable changes in the birth rate during the
period immediately following that for which the Figure is cast.
In a National Figure: the upper legislative house-in contrast to
the Eleventh House which rules the lower house; although the
Eleventh represents the legislative branches as a unit, as distinct from
the administrative branch of the government.
In an Organization: the executive personnel, its officers and Board
of Directors as distinguished from the President or Chairman of the
Board; the governing body in a collective sense; any attitude or
action of the stockholders or Board of Directors in opposition to the
President.

THE SIXTH HousE
In a Nativity. Food, clothing, comforts and domestic pets; mental
or physical conflicts resulting from the externalization of the Ego.
As such it depicts any enmity between the Ego and the physical
body, out of which mental, nervous or organic disease may develop.
It is an obscure arc, since the nature of service rendered or received is
more or less personal, unobtrusive and routine. It has been termed
the House of Service in that it portrays one's capacity to serve, as
also the character and qualities of those who serve him-his em
ployees and dependents, and his relations with them. As the Sixth
House is the Third from the Fourth, it pertains to uncles and aunts
on the father's side (Fourth House).
Sixth House action is generally under the Native's control; while
Twelfth House derivatives by way of inhibitions, repressions and
frustrations, spring from causes over which the Native has no control.
In a Mundane Figure. The public health; the armed forces, civil
service workers and police, as the servants of the country; and in
general, the laboring class and the workers in all trades; and all
involuntary services rendered by the people.
In a National Figure: the Labor Party.
In a Court of Law: the deliberations of the jury, and the Court
records as the field of activity of the Court reporter.
In an Organization: the workers or employees; their attitude,
efficiency and general condition; the health condition of the personnel

as affecting the organization. Strikes and labor troubles which have
their inception here, will take form in the Twelfth House.
THE SEVENTH HousE
In a Nativity. The Seventh cusp, the Angle of Relationship, at
the western end of the line of Particular Being, depicts the sub
jective side of the Nature, the Individuality, as opposed to the Person
ality that is revealed objectively in the First House; the correlation
of exterior agencies and forces. Of the four Angles, it ranks third
in importance. Here human relations are on a give-and-take basis,
by the interchange of ideas. It has to do with the outcome of all
contentions, oppositions, strife, enmities, pleas, and fines. Since it
defines the native's reaction to law, it becomes the House of the
House, Eighth
tributes to or interferes with public harmony, or tends to build or
disintegrate social identities; public support of the nation's foreign
policy, friendly or hostile, political or commercial, and the reactions
of foreign nations thereto. It is therefore the domain of international
disputes, of war and peace; public relations, public gatherings, and
meetings between and dealings with strangers. It also indicates the
status of women in the nation, particularly the public attitude toward
marriage and divorce, and the fluctuations of the marriage and
divorce rate as determined by the planet posited there, and its rela
Public, showing the relation of the native to others; particularly his
open adversaries; lawsuits and contracts; one's personal agents and
representatives; men's grandfathers or women's grandmothers;
nephews and nieces; and every manner of cooperative arrangement
or partnership, legal or otherwise-including marriage and the effects
thereof upon the native. In an astrological sense marriage is any
state of cohabitation prompted by love and attended by a condition
of sympathetic understanding, whether or not recognized by civil or
ecclesiastical law. Furthermore, when any state of cohabitation,
however legalized it may be, ceases to produce a blending of two
horoscopes through a condition of mutual regard and understand
ing harmoniousness, marriage ceases to exist and becomes merely a
legalized form of prostitution; as evidenced by laws governing "com
mon law" marriage, divorce, and the support of offspring after
divorce. The more profoundly the constructive influence of cohabita
tion affects the lives of the participants, the more it can properly be
termed a marriage.
In a Mundane Figure. The public as an organized social unit, the
social consciousness of the people, the relative status of the nation
among the nations of the world, and conditions, circumstances and
events affecting its social evolution; those who cooperate with or
oppose the people in a national sense, such as anti-social organiza
tions or activities, crime, organized crime and criminals, particularly
those who assume the status of a public enemy; anything that con
tion to the Fifth House.
In a Contest: the challenger; the decision of the judges.
In a Court of Law: the plaintiff and the lawyers; the point of
arbitration where evidence and the rights of opposing factions are
weighed; also the verdict of the jury.
.
.
In an Organization: its relation to other orgamzatwns through
contracts, trade agreements, mergers, cartels, or reciprocal arrange·
ments· its lawsuits and legal affairs. Here originate all forces that
oppos~ the growth and free action of t~e or~a?~zation as an indi
vidual entity, such as competitors and theu acuvtues.
THE EIGHTH HousE
In a Nativity. Release from personal limitations through human
interchange; the Realm of Birth and Rebirth; of evolut~on through
the suffering incident to all human experience; regenerauon through
enlargement of viewpoint, both spiritual and me~ tal; and the s~b
jugation of the personal Self-a diffi~ult process st.nce so few reahze
the horror of its impact upon the mmd and conscwusness .. It has. ~o
do with effects of an involuntary nature, such as the healmg cnsts
preceding either recovery or dissolution in de.ath; the manner ?f
death; fateful losses which lead to regeneratwn thr~ugh c.e~tam
enforced changes; the transmutation of emotional stress mto spmt~al
power; wills, legacies, trust funds, insurance; the estate of th~ manta!
or business partner; money belonging to other people~ especially the
deceased, in so far as it applies to the native; hence in general
financial relationship of the world to him, and his responsibilities ~~
connection therewith. However, its consideration of these things is
largely as liabilities rather than as assets.

House, Eighth
216
217
House, Ninth
It has been called the Occult House, the house of hidden things,
because in most Eighth House operations the Law of Cause and
Effect is difficult to identify, and there is the common human tempta
tion to blame everything upon an inscrutable Providence. It is also
known as the House of Death, because it represents the refiner's fire
wherein through suffering the selfish desires of the Ego are burned
away, setting free the pure gold of spiritually-enlightened Selfless
ness. That death so often comes instead, is a vivid indication of the
tenacity with which we mortals cling to our foibles, utterly deaf to
the accumulated exhortations of the philosophers throughout the
centuries. In the wake of an Eighth House storm there is always a
rainbow-if we but lift our eyes to perceive it. The Creative Ruler
I
I'
so devised this planetary system as to administer an automatic and
recurrent spur to spiritual growth and emotional self-control. Suc
cessive jabs become increasingly severe, and finally to those who
refuse to listen and heed, a premature death is inevitable; while to
the others, the spiritually adult, every Eighth House operation is a
celestial messenger in disguise, and a challenge to penetrate this dis
guise and become the recipient of the blessing he bears.
As the Second from the Seventh, it represents accumulated non
material riches-that which neither moth nor rust doth corrupt~
not the result of the labor of your hand and brain, but of the manner
in which you play the game with those to whom you are closely
allied.
In a Mundane Figure. The public income; the income from
exports; earning power of the nation, chiefly from the standpoint of
the man who pays; frozen assets in properties, stocks and bonds as
distinct from currency; the monetary standard, the National debt,
and interest rates; public sales; financial organizations, such as trust
and insurance companies. The birth and mortality rate in different
class groups, as determined by the planet involved, and its relation to
the Fifth House; medical discovery, insofar as it tends to promote
longevity.
In a National Figure: The national treasurer as a government
official, distinct from the treasury itself; financial relations with and
the financial condition and obligations of other countries with respect
to the nation for the capital of which the Figure is cast.
In an Organization: Losses and gains through or on account of
death, or in connection with the estates of deceased persons; financial
conditions involved in partnerships, mergers or lawsuits; financial
relations with competitors, and their financial condition; rc::venue
from investments, or through liquidation of frozen assets; loans
and income from sources not under immediate control of the Organ
ization; the company treasurer, as distinguished from the Treasury.
THE NINTH HousE
In a Nativity. The realm of the abstract mind, of intuition and
inspiration, of dreams and visions, hence an index to one's reactions
to philosophy, success and religion; and to his sense of responsibility
toward relatives, by blood or in law. From this arc inferences are
drawn concerning grandchildren, especially those of his brother and
his sister-in-law; the probability of distant travel, timing, nature and
results; the fate and nature of imports and exports; the ultimate
result of long-range advertising; world wide contacts and mental
adjustment to racial ideas, ideals and collective needs. With an
author, his works from the standpoint of publication.
In a Mundane Figure. Long-distance passenger and freight trans
portation and communications, by or over sea, air and land; religio?
and the clergy; judges and courts of law; the educ~ted cl~ss:s: u~l
versities and institutions of higher learning, and thetr admmistrauve
and teaching personnel; philosophic and scientific societies and insti
tutions and their publications; all facilities designed to meet .the
public demand in education, religion, transp~rtati?n and ~o~mu.mca
tions; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; immigratiOn as distm~mshed
from emigration; weather condition~ along .t~e co_ast, partKular~y
incoming storms in process of formatwn as d~stmgmshed .from thetr
effects. and the origins of all disturbances, either of an mtellectual
or at~ospheric nature. Observe a distinction drawn b~tween the
public's attitude toward the press, as indicated by the Third House,
and the attitude of the press toward the public as indicated by the

Ninth House.
In a National Figure: The Secretary of State as a government
official, as distinguished from the State Department the educated
classes-those who control or govern the reading, writing or travel
In an .or?anization: the adv~rtising department; long distance
comm~mcat~ons? r~ults of mall-order campaigns; relations with
educ~t:onal 10Stttu~wns a?d publications; professional consultants,
pubhctty and pubhc relauons; officials, as distinguished from their
departments.
·
THE TENTH HousE
In a Nativity. From this arc one traces the native's business or
profess~onal life and affairs, his honor, preferment, fame, credit,
reputatiOn, career, and po.sition in society; hence his standing before
the wor~d. As the operatiOnal base for social intercourse, it offers a
summatwn of the native's human relationships. From this arc infer
ences may be drawn concerning his relations with those who are
mor~ or less .in authority over him-his employers and clients; his
cous10s on hts father's side, and ordinarily his mother (v. Fourth
House) in that here racial consciousness, and what may be termed
~he. "national soul," becomes an entity. Of the four angles it is second
m t~portance, the so~thern end of the meridian running through
the btrthplace: the Mtdheaven, the Rational Axis, the Line of Uni
versal Being, the Point of Solar Sustainment, the Line of Concrete
Experience ~n~ its su~limat~on. As the apex of the Nativity, it
assembles, vttahzes, umversahzes and largely summarizes the indi
vi~u~l:s relationship to society as expressed through his occupational
actlvtttes.

·
In a Mundane Figure. The Chief Executive, as occupying the
control-tower of the nation; the political party in power; eminent and
famous persons, and those upon whom rest the nation's honor, repu
tation and standing among the nations of the world; the national
power, ~rad~, culture,. ideals and achievements. The most favoring
planets 10 thts House 10 a Mundane Figure, are the Sun and Jupiter.
In a Court of Law: the judge.
In a Contest: the referee.
In an Organization: The supreme or governing authority; the
President, or Chairman of the Board.
THE ELEVENTH HousE
In a Nativity. One finds here the externalization of the native's
social position; the nature and characteristics of his circle of acquaint
219

ances and friends; his ideals with respect to human and therefore
social relationships; his hopes, wishes, projects and ambitions; the
reformer's dreams and his efforts to realize them; flatterers and their
machinations; to a certain extent the imagination; his sons and his
daughters-in-law. Its Lord and the planets tenanting it are an index
to his idea of happiness and the probabilities of his ultimate attain
ment thereof. When considered in relation to the First, Fifth and
Eighth Houses, it becomes an important arc, for with an affiicted
Eleventh House little real satisfaction can be extracted from life
riches, a beautiful home, a fond and dutiful wife and children, and
all the tangible things for which a heart could wish, yet never the
serene contentment wherewith to enjoy them.
The Fifth and Eleventh Houses are an index to the personal
emotional desires and their sublimated form as found in platonic
friendship.
The Ninth and Eleventh Houses indicate higher levels of con
sciousness as to both mind and emotion.
If the Lord of the Eleventh is stronger than the Lord of the
Seventh the native's friends and assistants are more numerous and
powerful than his adversaries.
In a Mundane Figure. The legislative branches of the govern
ment, particularly the lower house, with the Fifth more directly
concerned with the upper house; town and county councils, and
state legislatures; the friends of the nation; the Stock Exchange, as
an organization apart from its activities; ceremonies and celebrations;
the exchange of amenities with foreign governments; hence the
nation's aims, desires, purposes, projects, and alliances.
In a National Figure: The treasury, as distinguished from the
Secretary of the Treasury.
In an Organization: Other friendly organizations, including com
panies closely allied to or associated with its activities; also organ
izations or facilities which provide social activities, as fraternal groups
and clubs; the treasury as distinguished from the treasurer.

THE TWELTH HOUSE

In a Nativity. This is the arena wherein transpires the combat
against the inertia inherent in all forms of society-the limiting power
of the level of race consciousness. Here are expressed the innermost
ling habits of the public.

and secret emotions; the source and nature of hidden and undel
handed opposition; imprisonment, hospitalization; the uncles and
aunts on the mother's side (v. Fourth House); the secret effects ol:
sins of omission and commission-defects of character that make
necessary a spiritual rebirth. Since we can rid ourselves of the:
presence of these ghosts of the past only by liquidating our indebted
ness to them, the Twelfth may be termed the House of the Hang
over; of crime, punishment and grief; the pawnshop of the Ego; the
Gethsemane of the soul; the Hell wherein one atones for his errors
through compassionate self-sacrifice, whereby ultimately to achieve
freedom from conditions that limit and restrict. Thus it is also the
House of Charity given and received.
Termed the House of Bondage, and of Self-Undoing, it is also the
House of Initiation and ultimate understanding. While it is fre
quently tenanted by the significators of scandal, self-approbation and
hardness of heart, its qualities can be advantageously employed for
work done in seclusion, for confidential behind-the-scene activities,
and for meditation and inner development.
The Terminal Houses, the Fourth, Eighth and Twelfth, corre
sponding to the Emotional Triplicity of Signs, are concerned with
the three most mysterious phases of life; the Fourth, the end of
physical man; the Eighth, the liberation of his soul; the Twelfth,
his secret aspirations and his disposition in the after-world.
From this; proponents of the doctrine of Reincarnation dedu~e
that the Nativity we have on this plane of expression we earned m
a past incarnation, while the one we will ac~uire .in our next i~~ar
nation will depend upon the life we lived m this-and are hvmg
now. Thus again is involved the Law of Cause and Effect from
which is no escape.
.
.
In a Mundane Figure. Labor disturbances, plagues and .epide~mc~,
conditions that militate against the public welfare; correctional msu
tutions, jails, prisons, workhouses, houses of detention.' hospitals and
charitable institutions; organizations devoted to forcible control or
condemnation of people; involuntary services ordered by law; t?e
nation's secret enemies in war and peace; spies and confidenual
agents. of foreign countries; crimes and criminals; the personal jour
neyings and writings of those ~n. power in . t~e government; the
nation's secret societies, both pohtical and rehgwus.
II
221
Houses
In an Organization: forces inclining to dissolution of the organ
ization as an entity, hence enemy and secret organizations; the
secret intelligence department; investigative agencies in connection
with hospitals and prisons; labor unions, insofar as they represent
Sixth House personnel; organized and social units, as distinguished
from the parent organization; strikes and labor troubles-which
have their inception in the Sixth House, but come to fruition in the
Twelfth.
REciPROCAL AcnoN oF OPPOSITE HousEs
It should be observed that the six Houses below the horizon are
departments of demand or of inclination to act; while the six
above the horizon afford the facilities for action; the lower six, per
sonal, the upper six, social; the lower six, unorganized, the upper six,
organized. Yet each separate House acts in a reciprocal or compli
mentary manner to its opposing House, as is shown in the following
comparisons or polarizations:
First and Seventh. Whereas the First House is productive of
effects caused by the native's ego, the Seventh is productive of effects
and situations produced by the ego of the marriage partner or any
cooperating personality or event. The commonly observed psycho
logical phenomenon wherein one desires or attempts to reproduce
his ego in another, is the direct result of this reciprocal action.
Second and Eighth. Whereas the Second House is productive of
effects upon the native's individual earning capacity as a direct result
of his own acts or inertia, Eighth House effects, as concerning his
material position, take cognizance of the fact that his ultimate return
depends in large measure upon the extent to which othe~s trade or
cooperate with him, or are friendly disposed toward him. Thus,
although his earning capacity may be exercised through the Second
House by means of work and related activities under his own control
which leave him free to choose whether he will work or not and to
what extent, the ultimate net amount of his income and the extent
of his fortunes do not rest wholly within his own control but are
distinctly due to outside forces. In the sense in which the Second
House registers assets, the Eighth House is more directly concerned
with liabilities.
Houses
222
Third and Ninth. The Third House is productive of effects which
rest on changes under the direct control of the native and which
result from his own acts. These may be various, such as changes of
location (travel), or changes of domicile (removal). In contrast,
Ninth House operations are not under his control, but involve the
wider changes wrought by an evolution that is largely the result of
outside forces. Similar facilities are indicated by both Houses, but
in the Third their application is confined to the dissemination of
information, while in the Ninth they are utilized to educate and
mold public opinion.
Fourth and Tenth. The Fourth House produces effects involving
the environment, which are subject to the control of the native, in
that he can alter his environment or upset his home conditions and
that of all those who are intimately related to him, to his heart's
II I
,,
content. Only through this House can he build his reputation and
the foundations of his professional career. In contrast, forces opera
tive through his Tenth House to affect his fortunes in his profession
or career, he cannot directly control; since his ultimate fate is largely
dependent upon the attitude of others toward him.
Fifth and Eleventh. The Fifth House involves the ability of the
native to take advantage of the Laws of Chance at such times as they
become operative in his favor. Its effects are under his control in that
he alone decides the nature of the investments, whether or not he
will make them, and when. Romance and emotional matters in
general partake of the essence of Chance, for the native's acts produce
emotional disturbances or yield emotional satisfactions according as
the Laws of Chance favor him. This strongly contrasts with the
effects resulting from the Eleventh House influences, for these deter
mine whether his hopes, wishes and desires are to be gratified or
denied. That for which he wishes and the treasure or resources
upon which he can draw wherewith to obtain them, is shown by
the Fifth House; but whether his wish will or will not be granted
through the influence or intervention of other persons, is in the
domain of the Eleventh House.
Sixth and Twelfth. Sixth House affairs, comprising the native's
occuptional activities, his service and devotion to others, are under
the native's control. His bodily health is largely dependent upon his
own acts. But Twelfth House matters are beyond his control, in

Intercepted House. The affairs of an intercepted House
are generally complicated, and the planets therein are of more than
average importance.
