Among the exemplars of Jupiter in Cancer as victor of the horoscope, Henri Bergson stands as philosophy’s most eloquent spokesman for intuition. His horoscope places Jupiter exalted in Cancer in the 1st House, joined by the Moon in her own domicile. The conjunction of the two principal benefics — one dignified by sign, the other ruling the Ascendant — generates a rare purity of symbolism. Both occupy Jupiter’s bound, signifying a unified moral and intellectual temperament: feeling as knowing, and knowing as movement.

For Bergson, intuition was not sentiment but method — the mind’s ability to enter directly into the flux of reality instead of freezing it into abstractions. This vision flowed naturally from his chart’s architecture: the Moon, planet of flux and change, applying to Jupiter, planet of comprehension and coherence. Where the intellect divides, the intuition sympathizes. His entire philosophy of duration and élan vital thus becomes an exalted form of the Moon’s own nature — change made meaningful, motion raised to wisdom.

In the Moon’s Configuration Report, Bergson’s natal sequence — Moon to Jupiter, then to Mars, then to the Sun — is traced through his life and thought: from the birth of intuition as philosophy, through public contest with empiricists, to the final eclipse of the self in an act of conscience. The horoscope offers not allegory but structure — a lunar philosophy embodied in a single human life.

Henri Bergson was one of France’s most original and influential modern philosophers, known for his theory that true understanding of life and consciousness requires intuition rather than abstract analysis. Born 18 October 1859 in Paris to a Polish-Jewish musician father and an English-Jewish mother, Bergson displayed early brilliance in both mathematics and the humanities. Educated at the École Normale Supérieure, he soon turned from scientific formalism toward the deeper, qualitative problems of time, memory, and movement—subjects that would define his philosophical career.

His first major book, Time and Free Will (1889), introduced his distinction between quantitative, spatialized time and qualitative, lived duration (la durée réelle). Bergson argued that modern science and psychology treat time as a line of measurable points, but genuine consciousness unfolds as a seamless flow—an indivisible continuity impossible to capture through analysis alone. He wrote that analysis “spreads out the inner life as if it were a chain of events laid side by side,” whereas intuition “seizes it as a single, indivisible act.” This insight became the foundation for his later works Matter and Memory (1896), which explored the relation between mind and body, and Creative Evolution (1907), which proposed the concept of élan vital, a vital impulse driving all living forms toward novelty and creation.

In An Introduction to Metaphysics (1903), Bergson sharpened his philosophical method into a contrast between analysis—the intellect’s way of fixing and symbolizing movement—and intuition, the direct apprehension of reality as it unfolds. “Analysis,” he wrote, “operates always on the immobile,” while intuition “is the sympathy by which one places oneself within an object in order to coincide with what is unique in it and consequently inexpressible.” For Bergson, all analytical knowledge is representational—it substitutes concepts for the living movement of things. Intuition, by contrast, “attains the absolute” because it does not divide reality into fragments but experiences its motion and continuity directly. To know a melody, for example, one must hear it in time rather than dissect its notes one by one.

This distinction between static analysis and dynamic intuition became one of the most powerful metaphors of early twentieth-century thought. Bergson saw the analytical intellect as a tool shaped by practical needs—useful for manipulating matter but fatally limited when applied to life and consciousness. “The intellect,” he wrote, “is characterized by a natural inability to comprehend life,” because it immobilizes motion in order to understand it. Only intuition, the act of entering into movement itself, can reveal the creative continuity that defines existence.

Bergson’s philosophy profoundly influenced writers such as Marcel Proust, who translated his ideas of memory and duration into literary form, and thinkers like William James, who saw Bergson as a fellow explorer of immediate experience. His 1907 Creative Evolution made him a public figure; he lectured across Europe and the United States, and in 1927 he received the Nobel Prize in Literature for his “rich and vitalizing ideas.”

In his later years, Bergson turned toward questions of morality and religion, exploring the tension between closed, institutional ethics and the open, mystical impulse of love in The Two Sources of Morality and Religion (1932). When anti-Jewish laws were enacted in Vichy France, Bergson refused to accept special exemption despite his fame and frail health, choosing solidarity with the persecuted. He died in Paris on 4 January 1941, reportedly after standing in line in the cold to register as a Jew.

Bergson’s enduring legacy lies in his defense of life’s continuity against the frozen abstractions of intellect. To understand reality, he insisted, one must not map it but enter into its flow. “To philosophize,” he wrote, “is to invert the habitual direction of thought”—to turn from the static to the moving, from symbols to experience, and from the outer shell of analysis to the living intuition at the heart of being.

Phase I – Moon applying to Jupiter (Cancer, 1st House)

Delineation. The Moon in Cancer in the 1st House describes a temperament deeply sensitive, inwardly fluctuating, and responsive to every nuance of experience. Physically, such a Moon often signifies a delicate constitution: the native’s vitality waxes and wanes with emotional tides, and the body mirrors the soul’s instability. Yet Jupiter’s presence in the same sign expands these lunar faculties toward philosophy, intuition, and moral sympathy. The conjunction marries receptivity with intellectual breadth — the Moon’s changeable light fusing with Jupiter’s urge to comprehend the whole. The result is a mind whose method is movement itself: perception unfolding through duration, intuition replacing static analysis. Bergson’s lifelong emphasis on élan vital and creative evolution was a pure expression of this lunar-Jovian marriage — motion conceived as the essence of consciousness.

Biographical Match. Bergson’s philosophy took early form around 1896 with Matter and Memory and reached its full lunar expression in Creative Evolution (1907), where he argued that intuition — not intellect — was the key to understanding life’s continuous flow. The fragility of his physical health, long noted by contemporaries, paralleled this theme of fluctuating vitality. His secretary reported that during severe migraines he would lie for hours in a darkened room, immobile and silent, “waiting for the wave to pass.” This recurring need to withdraw from light and sound reflected the same lunar rhythm he philosophized: a consciousness rising and receding with its own inner tide.

Phase II – Moon applying to Mars (Virgo, 3rd House)

Delineation. When the Moon, instrument of intuition, turns from Jupiter’s breadth to Mars in Virgo, it encounters the analytic impulse — the urge to define, separate, and name. Virgo’s earthy discrimination compels the fluid Moon to confront the empirical method: knowledge as the sum of discrete facts observed in space and time. In the 3rd House, this dialogue takes the form of intellectual rivalry and debate. The Moon’s motion toward Mars thus marks Bergson’s philosophical encounter with empiricism — a contest between intuition as living movement and analysis as static abstraction.

Biographical Match. This aspect became visible in Bergson’s public debates. In 1911, Bertrand Russell criticized Bergson’s doctrine of duration as obscuring logical clarity, arguing that “intuition is but confused intellect.” Bergson replied that analysis spatializes time and therefore kills its essence — a perfect dramatization of the Moon’s approach to Mars: motion meeting precision, intuition confronting geometry. A decade later, in 1922, his exchange with Albert Einstein on the nature of time extended the same battle. Einstein’s relativistic clock, grounded in physical measurement, stood opposite Bergson’s living time (la durée). Mars in Virgo — the mathematician’s scalpel — could not dissect what the Moon in Cancer felt as indivisible continuity.

Phase III – Moon applying to Sun (Libra, 4th House)

Delineation. The Moon’s final application to the Sun in Libra completes the circuit by seeking equilibrium — yet the Sun here is in detriment, and placed in the 4th House, the end of all matters. The conjunction symbolizes a reckoning: the luminary of consciousness setting beneath the horizon. Ruling the 10th House of career, this debilitated Sun portends the waning of public renown and a retreat into privacy. Venus in Scorpio, as the Sun’s dispositor, adds the emotional intensity of fidelity and stubborn principle — beauty tinged with fatal resolve.

Biographical Match. In his final years, Bergson’s fame dimmed under occupation and illness. Though of Jewish heritage, he refused the exemption offered by Vichy France that would have allowed him to live safely as an “honorary Aryan.” Instead, he chose solidarity with persecuted Jews, declaring, “I wanted to remain among those who tomorrow will be persecuted.” In January 1941, frail and arthritic, he caught a chill while standing in line during a winter registration of Jews. He died a few days later of bronchitis, having received no special treatment. The fall of the Sun in Libra thus fulfilled itself literally — the philosopher of intuition extinguished at the threshold of compassion and conscience.

Interpretive Summary

Bergson’s Moon’s Configuration reveals a life in which feeling becomes philosophy. The Moon in Cancer rising endowed him with the capacity to sense life’s undercurrents directly, while its application to Jupiter shaped that sensitivity into a doctrine of intuition and movement. Yet as the Moon advanced toward Mars, the philosopher of duration met the empiricists of measurement, and his intuitive current broke against the shore of analysis. The final approach to the Sun in Libra completed the cycle: consciousness descending into conscience, fame yielding to moral steadfastness. Bergson’s system thus mirrors his chart — a lunar quest for continuity born of frailty, tested by intellect, and sealed in self-sacrifice.

Influence of Sect on the Moon’s Configuration

Because Bergson was born after sunset, his nativity is nocturnal, making the Moon the in-sect luminary and the proper governor of the chart. Her prominence in the 1st House confirms that intuitive perception and bodily sensitivity were his primary modes of knowing. Yet the planet she immediately applies to — Jupiter — is the out-of-sect benefic. Though well-placed in Cancer, Jupiter’s foreign sect limits how far its philosophical optimism could penetrate the rational establishment; Bergson’s gospel of intuition was admired yet never fully absorbed by the academy. Mars in Virgo, by contrast, is the in-sect malefic: sharp, technical, and argumentative, representing the empirical and analytical thinkers who proved the more forceful voice within his lifetime. Their dominance in public debate reflected the chart’s sectual balance — the nocturnal Moon’s insight confronted by the daylight rigor of Mars-ruled reason.

Early / Late Bloomer Thesis

Bergson lived from 18 October 1859 to 4 January 1941, a lifespan of roughly 81 years 3 months. The midpoint falls near 1919, after the publication of Creative Evolution (1907) but before the 1922 debate with Einstein. His greatest creative flowering and international recognition therefore occurred before the midpoint, marking him as an early bloomer.

Astrologically, however, he was born between the Full Moon (in Aries) and the following New Moon — a waning-phase birth, traditionally associated with late bloomers who mature as the light declines. The apparent contradiction is instructive. While his intellectual fame rose early, his moral and spiritual influence deepened only in his later years, culminating in his quiet act of conscience under Vichy France. Thus, the waxing-versus-waning symbolism divides his life in two: the first half radiant with Jupiterian expansion, the second contracting into lunar interiority — intuition transformed into moral witness...
Practical Chart Examples: Geodetic Astrology with Giza vs. Greenwich

To illustrate the practical differences, let's focus on geodetic astrology (also called the "zodiacal Earth map"), where the planet's surface is divided into 360° of zodiacal longitude, with each 30° segment corresponding to a zodiac sign. The prime meridian determines the starting point (0° Aries on the equator). Using Greenwich (0° longitude) is standard, but the Pyramid system shifts the origin to Giza (≈31°08'E), effectively rotating the zodiac assignments westward by about 31° (roughly one sign). This can subtly alter interpretations of a location's "resonant energy" for events, relocations, or mundane forecasts.

In practice:Greenwich-based: Aligns with modern coordinates; e.g., used in software like Solar Fire for consistency.
Giza-based (Pyramid chart): Emphasizes ancient alignments; planetary influences (e.g., via Midheaven or Ascendant equivalents) shift, potentially highlighting "hidden" energies tied to ley lines or historical sites.

Perceived Ancient Wisdom and Geometric PrecisionThe Great Pyramid is believed by proponents to encode profound knowledge of Earth's dimensions, celestial cycles, and geography, positioning it as the "true" ancient prime meridian. For instance, its base dimensions incorporate π (pi) and the golden ratio (φ ≈ 1.618), and its location aligns with a global network of sacred sites forming a 40,000 km "Ring of the Ancients" at 30° latitude from the equator—linking Giza to places like Nazca Lines (Peru), Angkor Wat (Cambodia), and Easter Island. This circle supposedly tracks the precession of the equinoxes (a 26,000-year zodiacal cycle), with the pyramid acting as a celestial clock aligned to stars like Regulus in Leo during the Age of Leo (c. 10,500 BCE).
In contrast, Greenwich was arbitrarily chosen in 1884 at an international conference for practical reasons (Britain's naval dominance and observatory needs), lacking this symbolic depth. Astrologers argue that using Giza honors the pyramid's role as a "temple of initiation" and zodiacal marker, better suiting spiritual chart readings over mundane timekeeping.

2. Alignment with Natural Earth Energies and Ley LinesGeodetic astrology emphasizes Earth's "natural harmonics" and subtle energy lines (ley lines), which ancient cultures like the Egyptians and Neolithic builders reportedly followed for sacred sites. Giza sits at the intersection of major ley lines and is aligned to true north with astonishing accuracy (just 3 arcminutes off), symbolizing a geophysical "heart" of the planet. Using it as the meridian tunes charts to these energies, potentially revealing deeper insights into environmental influences, cultural events, or personal relocations.
Greenwich, by comparison, is seen as a politically imposed line that ignores these natural signatures, diluting the astrological connection between humanity and Earth's spiritual grid.

3. Historical and Astrological PrecedentsHistoric prime meridians included Giza (along with Jerusalem or Mecca), predating Greenwich by millennia and reflecting ancient surveying methods tied to astronomy. French astronomer Abbé Théophile Moreux, in his 1926 book La Science Mystérieuse des Pharaons, illustrated the pyramid as the original meridian dividing the world into hemispheres, based on Egyptian records.
Early 20th-century astrologers like Sepharial adopted Greenwich due to its rising global use, but alternatives like the Pyramid chart persist in astrolocality work (e.g., by Jim Lewis or Martin Davis). Proponents test it for "finer-tuned" results in mundane astrology, such as predicting natural disasters or epochal shifts, arguing it reunites astrology with ancient geomancy.

This practice is niche and debated—even among astrologers, who often stick with Greenwich for consistency with standard ephemerides. It's rooted more in mysticism than empirical proof, appealing to those seeking a "timeless" cosmic reference over a colonial-era convention. If you're exploring this for a personal chart, tools like Astro.com allow meridian adjustments for experimentation.

Charles Piazzi Smyth's Theories on the Great PyramidCharles Piazzi Smyth (1819–1900), Astronomer Royal for Scotland from 1846 to 1888, was a pioneering astronomer whose later career veered into pyramidology—the esoteric study of the Great Pyramid of Giza as a divine repository of scientific, prophetic, and metrological knowledge. Inspired by John Taylor's 1859 book The Great Pyramid: Why Was It Built? & Who Built It?, which posited the pyramid as a biblical artifact built under Noah's supervision, Smyth's theories blended astronomy, biblical literalism, and anti-metric advocacy. He viewed the pyramid not as a mere tomb but as a "Metrological Monument" encoding God's measurements of the Earth, cosmos, and human history, aligning with British Israelism (the idea that the British are descendants of the Lost Tribes of Israel). His ideas, while groundbreaking in precision, were ultimately discredited by Egyptologists but laid foundations for modern pyramid mysticism, including geodetic astrology's use of Giza as an "energetic center."The 1865 Expedition and MeasurementsIn 1865, Smyth led a self-funded expedition to Egypt, equipped with chronometers, theodolites, and even a camera for magnesium-lit interior photos (the first of their kind). He meticulously measured the pyramid's exterior, passages, and chambers, aiming to uncover hidden harmonies. Key findings included:Base perimeter: Approximately 3,023 pyramid inches, equating to 365.242 inches per side—precisely the solar year's length in days, suggesting astronomical intent.
Height and solar distance: The pyramid's height (5,812 pyramid inches) multiplied by 10^9 approximated the Earth's mean distance to the Sun (91,846,500 miles), implying builders knew heliocentric scales.
Passage angles and heights: The descending passage's angle (26° 31') and heights (e.g., 47.27 pyramid inches perpendicular) summed symbolically to 100 inches, with variations noted (46.2–48.6 inches across sections).
Latitude significance: Giza's position at ~30° N was the "center of all habitable dry land," maximizing land surface in that parallel for global resonance.

These measurements, detailed in diagrams and tables, were the most accurate of their era, earning Smyth the Keith Medal from the Royal Society of Edinburgh.Core Theories and BeliefsSmyth's overarching thesis was that the pyramid was divinely inspired, built by Hebrew-Hyksos peoples under Melchizedek (Abraham's priest-king) around 2200 BCE, as a prophetic timeline from Creation to the Millennium. He rejected Egyptian pharaonic origins, seeing it as a "Bible in stone" foretelling Christ's life and end-times events.Sacred Units of Measure: He proposed the "pyramid inch" (1.00106 British inches, derived from polar radius divided by 345,360,000—symbolizing Noah's Flood year), as a God-ordained standard superior to the metric system (which he decried as "atheistic" French innovation). From this, he extrapolated:Sacred cubit: 25 pyramid inches (25.025 British inches), used in the King's Chamber.
Pyramid pint and temperature scale: Volume and thermal units tied to base dimensions.

Prophetic Chronology: Passages and chambers mapped human epochs—e.g., the Grand Gallery symbolized the Christian era, with its length (188 pyramid cubits) marking years from Christ's birth to a prophesied 1910–1911 apocalypse (later revised from 1882 predictions).
Astronomical and Esoteric Ties: Dimensions incorporated π (pi) via base-to-height ratio (2π approximation) and Earth's meridional circumference. He linked it to stellar alignments (e.g., shafts to Orion/Polaris) and argued against Darwinism, promoting intellectual antiquity.

Smyth's work fused science with faith, using measurements to "prove" biblical truths and imperial measures as divinely sanctioned.Key PublicationsOur Inheritance in the Great Pyramid (1864; multiple editions up to 1890): Core manifesto, arguing the pyramid as Britain's "inheritance" via Israelite descent; included prophetic timelines.
Life and Work at the Great Pyramid (1867, 3 vols.): Expedition memoir with raw data, photos, and calculations.
On the Antiquity of Intellectual Man (1868): Integrated pyramid lore with anti-evolutionary arguments.

These sold widely, popularizing pyramidology despite scientific skepticism.Legacy and CriticismsSmyth's theories influenced religious movements, like Charles Taze Russell's Bible Students (precursor to Jehovah's Witnesses), who adopted pyramid chronologies until denounced in 1928. They also fed esoteric traditions, inspiring later pyramid enthusiasts (e.g., in Freemasonry and New Age geomancy) and indirectly supporting geodetic astrology's Giza meridian as a "cosmic prime" due to its encoded Earth harmonics. However, by 1880, William Flinders Petrie—initially a disciple—refuted them: the pyramid was ~75 feet shorter than assumed, invalidating prophetic math, and no artifacts confirmed the "pyramid inch." The Royal Society rejected Smyth's papers, leading to his 1888 resignation. Today, he's labeled a "pyramidiot" by mainstream Egyptology, but his measurements advanced pyramid surveying, and his books remain curiosities in pseudoscience history. Example 2: Mundane Event Forecasting – 9/11 Attacks (New York)Consider the September 11, 2001, attacks (event chart: 8:46 AM EDT, New York). Under Greenwich, New York's geodetic MC at 16° Sagittarius suggests Jupiterian themes of philosophy/expansion clashing with destruction (e.g., Saturn-Pluto aspects). Shifting to Giza (15° Sagittarius) keeps it similar but nudges toward 15°—closer to fixed stars like Ras Alhague (healing/crisis), adding a layer of "karmic resolution" tied to ancient meridians. Proponents argue this reveals Giza's "global heartbeat" syncing with collective trauma, as the shift aligns the event longitude nearer to pyramid-encoded cycles (e.g., precession markers).Example 3: Personal Relocation – Hypothetical Birth ChartTake a hypothetical birth: January 1, 2000, 12:00 PM, Paris, France (geo: 2°21'E). Natal planets: Sun 10° Capricorn, Moon 20° Aries.Greenwich Relocated Chart: Paris longitude ≈2°E yields Ascendant ≈15° Aries (energetic start). Geodetic MC: 2° Aries—amplifies Moon's pioneering vibe for new beginnings in love/career.
Giza Pyramid Chart: Shifted longitude ≈ -29° (331° total) = 1° Pisces MC. Ascendant adjusts slightly to ≈14° Pisces (more intuitive, spiritual). Interpretation: Paris becomes a "dreamy portal" (Pisces) vs. "fiery launchpad" (Aries), suiting artistic pursuits over bold action. If relocating, Giza view might favor Paris for meditation retreats.

These examples show the Pyramid system's subtlety—often a one-sign shift yielding nuanced insights. For hands-on, input your data into tools like TimePassages (with meridian tweaks) or consult a geodetic specialist. Experimentation reveals if it resonates more "anciently" for you!

Glastonbury Tor (UK), on the St. Michael Ley (300-mile line from Cornwall to Norfolk), intersects Neptune MC in geodetics—ideal for spiritual seekers (Pisces energy amplified for intuition). A natal Moon here might heal emotional wounds via earth energies.

The Silbury Meridian Ley (north-south from Stonehenge through Avebury to Scotland) as a proposed 0° Aries line shifts Europe's geodetic map minimally but tunes to "dragon energy" (Draco constellation ties). During 2020 Saturn-Pluto conjunctions, its nodes correlated with UK lockdowns, symbolizing structural "earth resets."

Avebury Henge (world's largest stone circle) aligns with Eltanin (27° Sagittarius) and the Galactic Center on the Silbury Ley. In geodetics, it's ~0° Aries under a ley meridian— a "cosmic portal" for crown chakra work, enhancing zodiacal mappings for solstice rituals.

Sedona Vortexes (Arizona, USA) on global ley grids overlay Sagittarius geodetic bands—combining fiery exploration with earth healing for Pluto-line transits, aiding shadow work.

To experiment: Overlay free ACG maps (e.g., on Astro-Seek) with ley grids from resources like The Old Straight Track, then adjust prime meridians in Astro.com for ley-inspired shifts.

St. Michael's Ley Line: Details and OverviewThe St. Michael's Ley Line (also known as the St. Michael Alignment or St. Michael and St. Mary Line) is one of England's most famous and extensively studied ley lines—a hypothetical straight alignment of ancient monuments, sacred sites, and natural features believed to channel earth energies. Running diagonally across southern England, it embodies themes of spiritual warfare, dragon lore, and cosmic alignment, linking prehistoric pagan sites with medieval Christian dedications to the Archangel Michael (the dragon-slaying protector). It's part of a broader European "Apollo-St. Michael Axis" extending from Ireland to Israel, but the English segment is the core focus here. While skeptics view it as a statistical coincidence amid Britain's dense archaeological landscape, proponents see it as a prehistoric "dragon path" for geomantic energy flow.History and DiscoveryOrigins in Folklore: The line draws from medieval Christian legends of St. Michael battling the dragon (Satan), with sites often marking "dragon-slaying" spots where the saint allegedly appeared. Early associations date to the 8th–12th centuries, when churches were built on pagan power spots.
Modern Rediscovery: Coined as a ley by Alfred Watkins in his 1925 book The Old Straight Track, who proposed ancient trackways for sighting and trade. It gained esoteric prominence through John Michell's 1969 The View Over Atlantis, linking it to global sacred geometry. In 1989, dowsers Paul Broadhurst and Hamish Miller mapped it precisely in The Sun and the Serpent, using divining rods to trace "male" (Michael, solar) and parallel "female" (Mary, lunar) currents. Their work popularized it in New Age circles, inspiring pilgrimages and energy tourism.

Route, Length, and DirectionLength: Approximately 350–364 miles (565–585 km), making it the longest known ley in the UK.
Direction: Oriented about 50° northeast from southwest (or precisely 27° north of east in some measurements), aligning with the sunrise on May 8 (St. Michael's feast day in the traditional Catholic calendar) and the autumn equinox sunset.
Path: Starts at the Atlantic coast in Cornwall, cuts through prehistoric heartlands like the West Country and Wiltshire, and ends on the North Sea in Norfolk. It parallels a "St. Mary Line" (feminine counterpart) about 1–2 miles south, creating a braided energy corridor symbolizing divine union.

Key Sites Along the Line

The line connects over 20 notable sites, blending Neolithic monuments, Iron Age forts, and medieval shrines. Here's a table of major ones, ordered southwest to northeast:

Rediscovery of Glastonbury Tor in the 19th-Century Romantic RevivalThe "rediscovery" of Glastonbury Tor during the Romantic era—characterized by a fascination with medieval ruins, nature's sublime mystery, and Celtic/Arthurian mythology—wasn't a single moment but a gradual revival sparked by antiquarian efforts. The pivotal event tying directly to this period is the restoration work funded by Sir Richard Colt Hoare (antiquarian and owner of Stourhead estate), who had purchased the Tor in 1786 (late 18th century, setting the stage).Key Date: 1804 – Hoare commissioned repairs to the roofless tower of St. Michael's Church atop the Tor, including rebuilding the collapsed north-east corner damaged by centuries of neglect and the 1275 earthquake. This physical intervention not only preserved the structure but drew Romantic-era artists, writers, and tourists, amplifying its mythic aura as a gateway to Avalon. It aligned with broader trends like the Gothic Revival and publications romanticizing ancient sites.

This 1804 restoration marked the Tor's re-emergence as a cultural icon, influencing later 19th-century works (e.g., Alfred Lord Tennyson's Arthurian poems evoking its legends). No exact day is recorded for the repairs' start or completion, but the year symbolizes the revival's ignition. By the 1890s, this evolved into organized pilgrimages, like the first Catholic one on September 12, 1895, after 356 years.

Every beginning of travel has a chart, just as the Astrological Maxim states: "In the beginning of a thing is the index of its end."
There are Delineationally Coherent patterns for each type of result for a chart, repeating over and over again the main factors and themes of that journey's result.
For air travel, there are patterns of safe travel, patterns for accidents, air collisions, terrorist commandeerings, etc., that will occur during THAT trip. An AI analyzing such proposed beginning charts could look for the relevant patterns, and estimate the probability of a safe flight of an aircraft taking off on a specific location, date and time.
The government could use such techniques to determine safety of air flights, or, if not that, astrologers concerned with the safety of their flights.
Background for this event from Bing Copilot:
The tragic collision between American Airlines Flight AA 5342 and a military helicopter occurred on January 29, 2025, over the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.. The flight, operated by PSA Airlines as American Eagle, was a Bombardier CRJ701ER regional jetliner carrying 60 passengers and four crew members. It had taken off from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita, Kansas.
The military helicopter involved was a U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk, with three soldiers on board. The collision occurred around 9 p.m. as the plane was approaching Reagan National Airport. Unfortunately, there were no survivors from either aircraft.
The incident has led to an investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which is looking into factors such as air traffic control staffing and the altitudes of both aircraft at the time of the collision. The helicopter was reportedly flying nearly 200 feet higher than it should have been.
The crash has deeply affected many, including the families of the victims and the broader community. It's a somber reminder of the importance of aviation safety and the need for thorough investigations to prevent future tragedies.

Takeoff: January 29, 2025, at 5:18 PM CST (6:18 PM EST) from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT).
Collision: January 29, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM EST over the Potomac River near Reagan National Airport (DCA).

THE FULL MOON SYMBOLS
As the sun at Vir26 concerns the realization of something personal to you, we will look at the Moon, which concerns the waters in which we all live, those where in Pisces we bridge the Past and Future.
As the past couple of weeks, with talk of nuclear exchanges threatening to burn down the neighborhood pass, we find the king at pis26 in a receptive and somewhat preoccupied mode.
He's surrounded by advisors but concerned with something else.
I've delineated the energies of the full moon in an earlier post, so I won't repeat how a structural shift and integration is happening here. But the waiting! ...
He's waiting to release the Full Moon energies, but he can't really listen to them as a Mercury->Saturn Rx opposition is occupying him. That means that deciding factors are in transit -- and put the release and flow of these energies on hold until the Moon enters Aries several hours after the equinox.
As you see in Pisces 27, the King may well be concerned with a 'snake in the garden' ... commonly experienced as NEGATIVE or plain HARMFUL BELIEFS/memes/presentations.</b (That is not to speak bad about snakes per se, because they do have a lot going for them mythologically, but I don't think those facets apply here, not right now.) The, let's call it a BRAIN WORM/Something small and hidden but dangerous, has to be dealt with, and I believe there's a CONFRONTATION ... right after the full moon ... in store for us ... indicated by the release of this energy being delayed until Luna enters the realm of Astraea, once a Goddess of the Golden Age, representing, to make it short, the purity of heart and mind so dear to the Aries ideals. Seriously. Although Astraea has exiled herself to Virgo, her Impulse is part of the first degree of Aries, where Luna will be when the Full Moon energies start flowing and transforming. The King, a Solar Figure, 'exalted' in Aries will then have made his call and get into action. Until then, he's waiting... for something to get clarified. ---------- I hope that speaks to your actual experience of this time. It will be interesting to see if we do indeed get messages from Asia that make us all look like distracted children shortly and which snakes in particular are being deal with in the world. Let's not push the metaphors too hard but do expect that you will find and deal with potentially harmful undercurrents/thoughts in your own life shortly and swiftly... Sincere full moon prayers like as seen in Vir26 might just do the trick. All the best!

hehe xio

It could be that we're about to get a ramping up of tension with Mars and Lilith highlighted in
this FM. Also a well filled 12th house with Neptune on the cusp raises the worry of something
underhand going on. Looks harmless on the surface but underneath potentially murky and menacing.

Protests against Israel's conduct in the war in Gaza erupted on college and university campuses in late April 2024, just as Jupiter, ruler of higher education, and Uranus, governing protest, came together on the 20th in their latest conjunction, repeated every 14 years. The Sun conjunct asteroid Universitas and squared asteroid Isarael showed academia (Universitas) as the focus (Sun) of the protest against the Israeli government (Israel), while a stationary Mercury (students) and asteroid NOT (resistance) gave a dug-in quality (stations) to the proceedings.

Manhattan's Columbia University formed the first protest encampment on April 17th, just three days before the J/U conjunction, and quickly became the most visible example of a national movement, with asteroid Columbia conjunct the Sun and asteroid Manhattan conjunct the conjunction degree. Eventual police intervention is foreshadowed by asteroid Copland (cops) conjunct Columbia, with action taken after students occupied Hamilton Hall, with asteroid Hamiltonia also conjunct the Sun, and asteroid Hall trine Columbia and squared Mercury.

On campus after campus across America, the pattern repeats, with asteroids representing these institutions engaging with those of protest, authorities, police and detention. Asteroid d'Arrest conjunct Mars (traditional ruler of protest) and Saturn (authority) squared asteroid Polizzi (police) tells the tale of more than 2000 arrests in total.

Did He Do It?
The stars say "Yes!!!" O.J. Simpson, star NFL running back, minor actor and likely acquitted murderer, passed on 10 April 2024, after being diagnosed with prostate cancer earlier in the year. The controversial figure was acquitted of his his-wife Nicole Brown's 1994 murder after an 11-month media circus trial. Held liable for her death and that of her friend Ron Goldman in a civil suit brought two years later, Simpson did spend nine years in jail, but for an unrelated crime.

Just a tour of stationary bodies at his birth tells much of his tale. Standing still in the heavens were asteroids Hera (the wife), Brown (her surname), Stabia (for the fatal stabbing), d'Arrest (his indictment for the crime) and Clarke (for lead prosecutor Marcia Clark). Brown also appears at the Apex of a Yod pattern (AKA "Finger of Destiny") with Ixion (murder), Saturn (death) and Pluto (crime) at its base. Asteroid Nicole conjoins asteroid Apophis (pure evil), opposed Brown in a T-Square with Mars (ruling attacks, knives and violent death).

Yup, it's an open-and-shut case, as far as the cosmos is concerned. But human justice is a far tricker thing, as exemplified by asteroid Justitia (Roman goddess of justice) turning retrograde exactly atop Simpson's natal Sun three days before his trial began. By the end of that nearly year-long ordeal, and his acquittal, Justitia trined asteroid NOT, with asteroid Themis (her Greek counterpart) in sesquiquadrate, a sign that justice (Justitia, Themis) had not (been done (NOT).

At his death, the Sun conjoined asteroids James (his given middle name) and Simpson, squared by asteroid Osiris (god of the dead). As well, asteroid James was exactly semisquare asteroid Atropos (Fate who severs the thread of life at death), with asteroid Simpson exactly semisquare Saturn (ancient lord of death).

WINNING
KOCH WINS FOR ME
OVER AND OVER AND OVER

Overheard at a lecture by one of America's "spiritual"
astrologers, "I use the Placidus House System because it's
so spiritually uplifting - but - when I go to the races I use the
Koch House System because I want to win!"

The exact horoscope of the event must have a house
cusp contacting your natal chart. Any house cusp except
that of the event chart's 6th or 12th - this has been shown to
be slightly productive. This is what I refer to as 'being on
the Wheel' - meaning that your natal chart has a contact
point with the event chart.
If your natal chart is not activated by the event chart,
don't bet. It's a great advantage to know when to stay
away, provided your intelligence holds sway over your
emotions and you resist betting at those times.
Over the years since this book was first written I have
found that it is possible to win if only the house cusps of the
event chart are in contact with your natal placements that
indicate winning. Rather than needing a transit activating
your chart, the win will be better if you also have absolute
2.
One of the questions that has been asked repeatedly is,
"What do you mean 'being on the wheel' ". To explain
further, being on the wheel is when the house cusps of the
event chart are making either a conjunction, opposing or
square aspect to the gambling placements in your own
chart. Any of the event cusps with the exception of the 6-12

Lack of Empathy in the Natal Chart

First of all, this topic gets me into more trouble than any other. Second of all, it is an important topic, so I will not eschew commenting on it. Third of all, one can look around the world and see lack of empathy, so hiding one’s head in the sand will not help. Fourthly, one’s chart shows one’s blueprint, as in the manner of a house blueprint, so one needs to study with an open mind. Fifthly, one is not to blame for one’s chart. Hence, one needs to accept the nature of one’s chart. Only then, can one make the best of it. *Sigh* That was a mouth full. Now, onto our topic.

In my study of empathy( or lack thereof), I see three major factors. There are, probably, more. However, I find that these factors tell us a great deal about the trait of empathy, so I will address them in this article. They are the Moon, the Element of Water and Jupiter.

The Moon
There are cold Moons. I have a warm Moon–Cancer.Mine does not have afflictions(hard aspects). I have a great deal of empathy. I am not saying this to brag. God gave me my chart. I had nothing to do with it.

Empathy is a RESPONSE, such as burping or swallowing. Empathy is not a THOUGHT. It does not originate from the world of ideas. It originates from one’s gut/one’s emotions. The fighting I get centers around that empathy can be derived from thinking. I don’t think it can. This is my opinion and based on my life experience, as well as doing thousands and thousands of charts.

Can a Moon like Cancer lack empathy due to afflictions? I would say yes, but I really do not know, so that is a pure guess. There are so many topics to explore in Astrology that one can never master all of them. Hence, I tell you when I am not sure how an afflicted Cancer Moon would play out.

I will leave the topic of afflictions to the Moon because I don’t know enough to comment and will center on the Moon SIGNS, themselves. Cancer Moon is in it’s Home, so it functions the best when it comes to the world of emotions. Taurus Moon is Exalted, so that Moon would be second.

Now, we come to the other Moons. Pisces is very empathetic, as is Scorpio. However, these Moons have other issues, in that Pisces is too emotional and Scorpio is too intense.

Capricorn is a head over heart Moon. He may “reason out” a solution to problems, rather than “feel out” a solution. However, Capricorn Moon seems to have empathy.

Libra Moon, the Moon in the Fall, seems to be the least empathetic. I can say that my personal dealings with many, many Libra Moons reinforce this belief.

Gemini Moon may think before she feels, as will Aquarius, but they do not lack empathy. Their empathy level seems to be lower than the water Moons. The Fire Moons would fall into the same category as the Air Moons.

If one was trying to ascertain the empathy level of a native, the Moons would be the place to begin.

Jupiter

Jupiter is a major playing in conscience. I discovered this by doing the charts of four sociopaths and one malignant narcissist. Jupiter had a very clear pattern in the charts of the sociopaths. It was VERY AFFLICTED. It was so afflicted that it was a “Monster in the Closet” Jupiter. In two cases, almost every planet was in hard aspect to Jupiter. I don’t know if other people have studied this, but the charts are my teachers.

The Element of Water

Elements are very important. I am an Earth Void and I am space cadet alley. I am space cadet when it comes to practical things. One day, I was asking someone how to arrange jars in my cabinet. The person did not know me well and I could feel the wheels turning in her head–what an idiot this person is.
When I am confronted with trying to organize, I shut down. It feels, almost, painful to do practical things of this nature.

I have many articles on the Elements because I believe they are very important to studying each native.

Water is the world of the emotions. Water Voids do not function well in the world of the emotions, which includes subtle emotional cues, known as subtext. Sense of humor would be a kind of subtext. Water Voids may be too literal when it comes to humor. They may miss all but the most obvious jokes.

It is not the fault of the Water Void that she has an almost alien like relationship with emotions. Nothing in the chart is one’s fault. I should tattoo this on my chest, along with “what is the orb/”

Back to empathy, low water is a factor in lack of empathy for the reasons listed above.

As always, let’s discuss this. One of the traits of which I am most proud is that I love to foster discussion. If not, how will we all learn?

“Certain planets travel out of bounds periodically (no matter where the Sun is positioned at the time) and when and if they do their energies are more extreme. They become wilder and their forces more magnified, either for good or ill. As they are beyond the limits imposed by the boss (the Sun), they can operate independently and without restraint. However by progression a natal planet may move out of bounds during the course of a person’s life and during that time the planet could operate more independently and freely” http://www.astrologer.com/aanet/pub/journal/declination-for-beginners.htm http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-information/out-of-bounds.php http://aliceportman.com/?p=24

M.REINHARDT

strologically, when the Galactic Centre zone is activated by transits, Hera’s breast is withdrawn, metaphorically speaking. Meaning that the places, people, ideas, notions and events in our life where we have previously projected our own sense of ‘Higher Self’, or ‘Deeper Centre’ as a source of nourishment may collapse, let us down, crumble, turn against us, or simply quietly depart. That which promised ‘immortality’ fails us. Our ‘tribal’ associations, national or racial identities, while valuable on their own level, are relinquished. Through these transitions or crises, our consciousness develops. This may require a great deal of psychological processing, allowing grief and confusion to give way to peace and clarity. Both our physical bodies and subtle bodies may need attention as toxins begin to be eliminated when we travel the ‘celestial pathway’.

TITANIC

The Eclipse of the Titanic
(too old to reply)
Claude Latremouille11 years ago
Permalink*
Like many astrologers interested in the mundane, the sinking of
the Titanic has always been for me a subject of curiosity. Were
there any remarkable astrological configurations presiding over
this famous disaster?
*
Long ago, I had noticed a solar eclipse. Although the ship had
gone down during the night of April 15, 1912, the eclipse was a
late comer: At 7:39 a.m., Halifax Time (AST), on Wednesday, April
17, 1912.
*
The question then becomes: Is this eclipse 'involved' in the
Titanic disaster? Happening more than two days later, it most
certainly could not have served as a warning sign for the
maritime event. Could it have been a witness to the aftermath?
The spreading of the news worldwide; the recovery and burial of
the bodies; the mourning of the various families affected by the
event; the accounts by the survivors of their horrific
experience; most of this might have occurred *after* the eclipse.
*
My experience of mundane astrology has shown me that it is not
the events, objectively considered, which are 'inscribed' in
planetary configurations, but the coverage they are receiving.
Put more practically: How can an unknown event be the product of
planetary configurations if no one knows of its happening?
*
The Titanic event can therefore be considered as *two* events:
The one lived by its passengers (the real event), and the one
which the world has learned since (the coverage of that event).
The eclipse of April 17, 1912, can only account for the second. A
few of its features: Conjunction Mercury-Sun-Moon in Aries,
square Neptune in Cancer, sextile Pluto in Gemini.

Perhaps it is that other eclipse, the one of the Moon, on April
1, 1912, at 6:04 p.m. (AST), which accounts for the tragedy.
Lying close to the horizon for the site of the sinking, Moon
rising, Sun setting, trine-sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius, that
eclipse shows a culminating Neptune in Cancer trine Venus in
Pisces. Its conjunction Mars-Pluto in Gemini is sextile Mercury
in Aries.
*
Certainly not enough to be useful as a warning for the accident;
but, after the fact, a few of its features (for instance a well-
aspected Saturn in the VIIIth House) can help reconstruct the
event of April 15, 1912.
*
Mundane astrology had also taught me that, for an event to
happen, it requires some so-called positive aspects, even though
the event is normally viewed as negative. Were there no
'constructive' aspects, the event would be prevented from
happening. So one ought not be surprized, when analyzing mundane
charts for disasters, to see therein many harmonious aspects.
They are just doing their job of 'making the event happen'.

PermalinkI always have thought that eclipses serve more as harbingers to be
triggered by subsequent aspects, especially conjunctions to the pivotal
points. Never the less, timing is one of the harder things to figure
given the difficulty in pinning down the appropriate context for any of
it.

A solar eclipse is unlikely to in itself create this type of ill fated
destiny.
The Titanic had Jupiter-Saturn crash theme in geo, helio and bad aspects in
declinations
and latitudes when it was launched. I would not have entered this ship.
Also Uranus is involved in this astrological disaster what would easily name
it
the most famous boat disaster in history. Remember helio charts usually
capture the fate of earthly matters more accurately. If you have
inexplicable
problems you might want to check out your helios.

I found at launch the Titanic had:
Geo natal: Mercury conj. Saturn (mercury Asc ruler).
Geo declinations: -Sun parallell Uranus and Neptune (a super famous ship
with a shocking fate)
-Jupiter,Saturn and mercury c.parallel (well the Saturn-Jupiter is again in
the picture)
-The nodes were in parallell to Saturn which dragged all those people down
with it.

Helio natal:
-Jupiter opposition Saturn square mars (this big thing going down by
mechanical injury?)
-Earth,moon quinkunx Saturn (hard fate for this earthly entity)
-Mercury conj. Uranus quincunx Pluto. (hardship, unforeseen mechanical caused
failure)
(Neptune is also quinkunxing the uranus-mercury conj ,orb about 5
degrees->most famous ship)

Helio latitudes: Earth, moon, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune, again this big
being is Uranus- Neptune aligned.
Pluto-chiron-Mercury was aligned as well as Mars - Saturn. (Souls deeply
shaken by this horrible destiny.)

destiny.
Quite true. In fact, for this type of misfortune, one can
think of many mundane charts which might apply.

As we are dealing with a ship, one might consider
1. The chart of her launch (assuming that more construction
was not performed after that).
2. The chart of her naming (if the champagne bottle ceremony
was indeed performed).
3. The chart of her surrender to a first owner (the White Star
Line).
4. The chart for the start of her maiden voyage at Southampton.
5. The chart of her leaving Cherbourg.
6. The chart of her leaving Queenstown for New York.

As one can see, many events can be considered for the purpose
of studying the fate of that ship. Theoretically, this fateful
voyage could have been interrupted at any time for many reasons
prior to the last event above. So, each step played a role in
the fulfilment of her destiny.

Not to mention the obvious, of course: that of the collision
with the iceberg.

But then again, everybody knows the time of the accident, but
it would appear that nobody knows the type of time used on board
the ship. So even armed with that famous 11:40 p.m. ship time,
April 14, 1912, one has no idea as to what that time meant.

Pity!

There is many time points to this story yes, but I
consider the launch of it onto the sea to be the birth,
which is the point I studied. The making and birth
of a human being also has many stages, but we don't

also had the same worrying aspects.

Indeed, one ought to select a chart for the life of a ship
which matches that of a baby. An important difference between
a baby and a ship is that the birth chart of the baby deals
with that person. A ship, however, can be considered as a
physical entity, in which case her construction and launch
ought to take care of her chart; if, however, it changes
ownership from construction to maiden voyage, my view
would be that the change-of-ownership chart ought to be
considered, as this physical object becomes the property
of a given owner prior to her maiden voyage.

If the Titanic was not already owned by the White Star
Line during her construction and launch, then it became
'the baby' of the White Star Line only when it was acquired
by that company.

Prior to that, it existed, yes, but belonged to her
constructor.

On another subject, were you ever able to find out which
type of time was in use on board of the Titanic when it
sank, as all time references to these events speak of
'ship time'? Unfortunately, I was unable to find out
what was meant by this.

Thanks.

The retrograde begins and continues with these themes, as we RE-Value, RE-Asses, RE-Vamp, RE-New, RE-Generate, RE- View, RE-focus, RE - Connect, RE - Adjust,

If you can remember the Venus retrograde cycle is an 8 year pattern, with the Venus Star Point also confirming a 4 year pattern. The Venus Cycle and its

In the context of the series Aries 26-30, disappointment may be the best thing that could happen. Disappointment and depression in a general sense most often manifest as a natural way for the human psyche to cool down the grandiose psycho-dynamics of ego ambitions.

Seen in this way... and I repeat, in most Astrological work 'depression' is not a disorder of dramatic concern, meaning there is nothing wrong with you and there is no need to run for 'meds' to combat a 'disorder'... Aries 28 points to a beneficial deepening of self-awareness ... more grounded, brought down from super-human expectations... that allows an open space for grace to brighten your day.

When we look at the keywords of the Capricorn symbols (from Dr. M.E. Jones "The Sabian Symbols in Astrology", 1953) we get the following:

Explanation, Magic, Signature, Inflexibility, Fitness, Attunement, Expectation, Recognition, Supremacy, Worship, Commemoration, Consecration, Community, Nurture, Supervision, Foundation, Establishment, Ordering, Expediency, Consignment, Opportunity, Illimitability, Abundance, Immersion, Thoroughness, Avidity, Restlessness, Animation, Mobilization, Perseverance

The keywords give us a similar sense of the main themes of Capricorn with Saturn, which is the planetary ruler of Capricorn.

I include these keywords purely for interest, since Dr Jones was a gifted astrologer however the keywords are purely his interpretation of the symbols. I personally focus on whatever I feel resonates with the symbol, rather than going by someone else's keyword. We all have different experiences - for example what may have been true for Dr. M.E. Jones, living in the first half of the 20th century in North America, does not necessarily resonate for sweat-shop workers enslaved in a Free Trade Zone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

One theme that emerges with 9th degrees is a a sharp focus or concentration. This is consistent with all 9th degree symbols, but seems to introduce a level of concentrated awareness not easily distracted.

2 CANCER...elitist and cold can appear self righteous.

THE SEVENTEENTH DEGREE
Of all the degree numbers that planets can be in, the 17th degree of each sign is, I feel, one of the most unusual. According to Kabbalah the number 17 is ruled by Venus, and so the 17th degree of each sign is its Venus degree.

It seems to me that the 17th degree of a sign is on a quest for value – that is, is trying to find out the value of the sign its in. 17 has a feeling of never being satisfied with the surface. It is always looking deeper, and even when it finds something deeper it is always feeling there is something deeper yet to find. What 17 is looking for is the Spiritual Light hidden in each sign.

Sandra and I both have the 17th degree of Leo in our charts – I have Saturn there and she has Moon. The Omega Symbol for this degree is “A giant squid asleep in the ocean depths.”

The whole purpose of the sign Leo is to express and be a channel for the Spiritual Light. When Leo reflects this light into the world, it has attained its highest purpose.

The Leo polarity is LITTLE VERSUS BIG. When Leo becomes petty, demanding of attention, touchy, worried as to its own worth, and in need of constant reassurance it makes itself little. When it opens up and allows the spiritual light into itself and then reflects that spiritual light out into the world with magnanimity and love, it allowws itself to become big, that is, true to its higher nature. The giant squid of the symbol represents the bigness of Leo, for the giant squid is the biggest animal on the face of the earth. And the fact that it lives in the ocean means that it is at

It all comes to a head...

Compare Gemini 17 with Virgo 17., the mutable cousin of the sign of the Twins.

Virgo 17: A volcano in eruption" does suggest blowing one's top, perhaps a hot head, burning ideas that explode, fume and run like molten lava.

Gemini 17 points to a transition from 'health' to 'mentality'. The dynamic seems to be up, rising from a hale and fit body condition to an idea, a mindset, an abundance of mentality.

Sagittarius 17 and Pisces 17 both refer to Easter themes: motifs of eggs, birth & re-birth; spring-like renewal, the second coming.

Emphasis seems very much on the head.

Expect a great deal of dependence upon ideas, views, mentality in general and possibly ideas that blow ordinary social conventions away... like a volcano. There is power and destructiveness possible through the ideation and expression of Gemini 17, but only because there is a like measure of creativity, creative power.

Pisces 8: A girl blowing a bugle
A call to first position...

Getting ready for an event or performance follows standard steps for preparation.

The opposing Virgo symbol "First dance instruction" Virgo 8, points to a situation where all dance students are started at the beginning: first position. The bugle call announces the time to assume first position, or even to ready oneself for first position.

Like a horse race, the call may even be for gathering on the dance floor, or to gather on track for the post parade. After the horses parade before the gathered crowds, they routinely jog off in a last minute warm up before entering the starting gate at post time. ALL 8 degrees go back start at the be ginning

8: First dancing instruction
First position...

All 8th degree symbols involve an odd dynamic. There can be emptiness of hopes and dreams 9the person who has a loving home with no one to share it with), there can be a sense of being out of place or a sense that all that is desired is consistently just beyond one's grasp.

In Virgo 8, the theme seems to be one of having a ton of personal ability and potential. Imagine a natural ability to dance with no training in in personal history, no experience of being shown how to dance. Now imagine that raw talent
coming to a dance studio where everyone is considered to be at the same level, the same beginner position. It may seem frustrating to have to start at the beginning, but that's where you begin... so.

In meditation practise, the mind is trained by ever returning to an awareness of breath. Every breath is , in this sense, the first breath. Even skilled masters of any discipline, must start at the beginning.

The idea, through Virgo 8, is cultivate character refinement through simple mindful discipline.

Fresh start. First position. First step. First thought. Everyone ready.

Mars running wild in Leo suggests dramatic action taken for the sake of it — possibly getting away with murder as only Mars in Leo can. But y’know, with Venus retrograde, the suggestion is that efforts to get the love you need could be productively spent working on more a loving relationship with yourself. Whoa. That’s so…innovative…and deep.

The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon at 22 degrees of Leo is “a carrier pigeon.” Sabian Symbol guru Blaine Bovee notes that this is a bird that can be trained to fly home, usually carrying a message. Note that we do not train pigeons to fly from New York to Nova Scotia, if the birds live on 57th Street in Manhattan. They only fly in one direction: home.

Wherever 22 Leo falls in your horoscope is the area of your life in which you may experience a homing instinct during this lunar cycle. If you have a planet or angle at 22 degrees of Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio and especially Leo, you are even more affected by the potential a new cycle can bring. Consult your local astrologer for details, or consider ordering an Astro-Basics Report so you can learn what degrees your planets are at. It’s described in the Services & FAQs section of my website.

Lately, Bovee has gotten me thinking about how Sabian Symbols work in pairs. Every degree has an opposing degree. The opposing degree of 22 Leo is 22 Aquarius. The Sabian Symbol for 22 Aquarius is “a rug placed on the floor for children to play”. Bovee notes that the nature of play (Latin ludere) is “to go beyond bounds of normal containment”. Taken together, these two Symbols suggest a polarity between testing one’s limits and being aware of “the relative nature of rules and boundaries; issues of safety and security regarding the home and the world beyond; homing in on what really counts.”

In the last two lunar cycles I noticed a curious synchronicity between the opposing Sabian Symbol of the New Moon and the stories that made headlines. For June, the opposing Symbol was “a flag bearer”. For July, the Symbol was “a women entering a convent,” which Bovee suggests can reflects themes of confinement, including prison. Immediately after July’s New Moon, President Obama visited a prison, highlighting the condition of our penal system. Then Sandra Bland — the woman who allegedly committed suicide after a provocative police officer in Texas tossed her in jail after stopping her for a minor traffic violation— made headlines. In June, one of the major stories of the cycle was the Confederate flag. Coincidence or conspiracy?

21 DEGREES

it is a sobering truth that many with planetary placements in this degree-pair do have some experience with what we might call 'the morning after' syndrome. Imagine going out for a few tasty beverages the night before. One might meet someone and feel a surge of possibilities, excitements and expectations. Then, in the morning after, one is left with a sense of sobering disappointment.

Fact: the whole series of 21st degree symbols concerns finding one's place in the world. In this symbol, projected expectations are weighed against realities. It is not an uncommon human trait to become drunk on hopes and fears. In this symbol, one can easily rise above the indulgent potentials of intoxication and bring expectations to a level that works better with the so-called 'real' world.

Fact: the 'dis' in both Leo and Aquarius 21 can be the action of release, liberation.

To dis-appoint, is to be freed from being selected. The release involves a sense of importance, specialness, perhaps freedom from self-centered self-importance.

To 'dis'-illusion is to be freed from illusions. Not so bad when you think about it.

According to the BBC, a sighting of European bee-eaters in England last year was “a worrying sign of how our climate is changing”. British bird books are full of details of past sightings as far back as the 18th Century.

One particularly silly study found willing support from the BBC last year, claiming that British trees are at risk from “drier weather under climate change”, even though the country has been getting wetter!

In July 2022, the BBC reported that England had its driest start to the year since 1976. In fact it had only been the driest since 2010.

It was very hot in Delhi last May. The BBC was quick to blame it on climate change, with claims of a new record high temperature in Delhi. In fact, none of the long-running weather stations showed a record, with data at the Indian Meteorological Dept’s base station in Delhi proving that it was more than a degree hotter in May 1944.

It was dry in February this year, but the BBC’s claims of water shortages were simply not credible. So they included in their report a photo of a near-empty reservoir, which was quickly proved to have been taken two summers previously.

The BBC was eager to report that the U.K. heatwave last July had killed more than 3,000 people. However, the Office for National Statistics analysis, on which the BBC’s claims were based, actually said no such thing. It also pointed out that excess deaths had been running at high levels throughout the spring, summer and autumn of last year.

The BBC’s green bias is on display all the time, exemplified by its choice of interviewees and experts. In March 2022, Radio 4 broadcast a half-hour programme considering whether Shell should develop the massive Cambo oil field off the Shetland Islands. All three interviewees were ardent lobbyists for renewable energy, so unsurprisingly they argued against Cambo, something for which the BBC was forced to apologise for.

Only two weeks ago, the wretched BBC claimed that the recent tragic floods in Italy were due to climate change, even though such floods have been only too common in the past.

The BBC reported that the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season was “the third most active on record”. It was not; there have been 32 years with a higher count.

The BBC claimed last summer that “hurricanes are among the most violent storms on Earth and there’s evidence they’re getting more powerful”. But according to the hurricane experts at the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, there has been no increase in the frequency or intensity of Atlantic hurricanes since the late 1800s.
A claim that “punishing weather conditions linked to climate change have eroded so much of the coast at Happisburgh, Norfolk”. The BBC have been unable to provide evidence for this, and the British Geological Society say that the coastline has been eroding at the same rate as now for the past 5,000 years.

In October 2021, the BBC claimed that heat pumps are much cheaper to run than gas boilers. The opposite is the case, as the BBC eventually admitted.
In October 2022, the BBC reported that the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard had warmed by 4°C in the last 50 years. They failed to report that temperatures there plunged by almost as much between 1950 and 1970.

The BBC reported at the time of last summer’s Pakistan floods that one third of the country had been submerged. The real figure, as evidenced by NASA satellites, was less than 10%.

Last year Sri Lanka experienced a catastrophic collapse in farming output, following a ban on imported fertiliser, which was designed purely to reduce GHG emissions. The BBC has been extremely reluctant to publicise the real reason, instead first blaming the food shortages on Putin, and then claiming that the ban was an attempt to “protect dwindling foreign currency reserves”.

A classic example of BBC deception appeared in a recent report on solar power, when it published a graph showing solar power now accounted for more than 10% of the world’s generating capacity. They omitted the fact that, because solar power is so intermittent, it only accounts for 3% of the world’s actual electricity.
The BBC often regurgitates propaganda from official bodies without any attempt to challenge or fact check. Last year they uncritically reported the World Meteorological Organisation’s claims that “extreme weather events are the new normal”. There is no evidence that extreme weather is getting worse, something which even the IPCC has been forced to admit.
There is a strong Cardinal element in these charts which gives initiative, ambition, restlessness and a low boredom threshold but that’s nothing pass remarkable.

This is where harmonic charts come in handy which show the less visible aspects between planets. The one which shows up most clearly in all of the above is the 18H – twice 9. The 9th harmonic is what brings pleasure. Initially it was thought to be a harmonic that was community-minded, fostered inclusiveness and was humanitarian. But it figures strongly in charts of financial fraudsters like Bernie Madoff and Charles Ponzi, so clearly has an immoral, indulgent and irresponsible side as well.

18 in numerology, on which a good deal of the harmonic interpretations are based, can bring material success, but also conflicts and enemies, and has an explosive quality.

In Beverley Allitt’s natal chart her Mars is sparsely aspected. But in her 18H, the Mars squares Saturn, and is trine Sun. Niels Hogel’s 18H has Mars opposition Sun square Pluto, so drawing his sparsely aspected Mars in the natal chart into tighter contact.

Michael Swango, whose natal Mars is firmly tied into Uranus Jupiter Neptune Sun, in his 18H has Mars conjunct Saturn trine Pluto, which has a much more brutal feel.

Kristen Gilbert, a nurse who killed 4 and attempted two more, 13 Nov 1967 5.01pm Falls River, MA, doesn’t have an overly notable Mars natally, but in her 18H it is conjunct Saturn, inconjunct Uranus and square Sun.

Mars Saturn sometimes tied into Pluto appears in the 18H charts of non-medical serial killers Ted Bundy, Thomas Hamilton (Dunblane shootings), Jeffrey Dahmer.

The 18H isn’t necessarily a serial killer identifier since it is strong also in the charts of Jemma Beale, the rape fantasist (see post below) and Joe Arpaio. But it certainly can indicate a cruel, conscience-free streak.

Many of the above medical killers also have a heavily stressed Mars tied into Saturn, Uranus and Pluto in their healer/victim 12H.

=========================================================================

A historic look: April 1777 to December 1798 Pluto’s orbit is elliptical. It does not transit each sign at an even pace. Presently, Pluto moves swiftest in Scorpio (11-year transit) and most slowly in Taurus (32-year transit). Aquarius lies midway between the apogee and perigee of Pluto’s synodic cycle, averaging Pluto’s motion
with a 20-year transit. To get a sense of how we might expect Pluto-in-Aquarius to show up in our world over the next two decades, we will look at the illustrations left to us from Pluto’s last transit through this sign in the late 1700s — we will keep our assessment at an almost criminally high level, but what we see should still be instructive.
To break up this period, we will be organising Pluto’s movement by sign and by the system of planetary terms laid out in Hephaestion*. Each sign is comprised of five sets of terms, allocated to the five visible planets, and is the stronger of the two forms of degree-based essential dignity, the other being dignity by face, or decanate. The term-ruler is said to impart its own signification within the limits of its term.
Saturn rules the first set of terms in Aquarius. His term is comprised of six degrees, then Mercury’s with six degrees, Venus’s with eight,
followed by Jupiter’s with five and, finally, Mars’s with five, rounding out a full 30 degrees.

HISTORY OF PLUTO IN AQUARIUS

Pluto: A far-out body
Pluto is one of the outer planets, together with Uranus and Neptune. Unlike the luminaries and five visible planets, these three entities are not
visible without the help of a telescope. Astrology is dependent upon principles informed by vision and perception. If you removed yourself
from the Earth, you’d find there are no houses, no angles, no zodiac signs, no day, no night, no rising or setting of planets, no retrograde
motion — these are visual experiences we perceive from the Earth’s surface, and perception is everything.
As a result, the outer planets do not rule things as the seven visible bodies do. Rather, they map broad shifts in societal experience. They
function like tectonic plates, moving many hundreds of miles beneath our feet in unseen patterns. The shifting of continental plates sends
earthquakes of varying size and devastation toward the surface. The outer planets are similar in their function, periodically releasing their
tensions on the surface world.
Such is the reality of the outer planets. Their transits are rarely uplifting, rarely comforting. Uranus breaks, Neptune dissolves. Pluto has been
said to transform, but I think this interpretation is misleading. Firstly, transformation as a concept was understood for millennia through
combustion (the dark period where a planet old in phase is renewed for another cycle) and the planet Mercury, which has a strong association
with the prefix trans-. Secondly, the planets and stars do not compel. Pluto does not require that we transform, even if it points to things in
desperate need of a hard reset.
Humanity is not so great at trans-forming itself, it turns out. Researchers of organisational change hold that between 50 and 70 per cent of
large-scale transformation projects fail. This statistic holds whether we’re talking about corporate entities, government bodies, or some other
large organisation of semi-autonomous people. We are resilient as a species and more likely to adorn ourselves with the appearance of
change than fully submit ourselves to inner transformation.
To understand Pluto, we must centre ourselves on the imagery of the underworld. With Pluto (or Hades), we’re at the periphery of existence,
the furthest reaches where mortals may not enter, the depths within the Earth devoid of sunlight or life. This astrological body signifies all
that light does not touch: individual and collective traumas, the untallied cost of systems devised to keep some things visible and other things
unseen. In Pluto, we have a primer for obliteration and sublimation.
With Pluto, we also have an image of immense wealth. Pluto derives from the Greek ploutos (wealth), and just as mineral wealth is found
within the earth, so too are spiritual riches and wonders to be found by excavating those harrowing realities relegated to Plutonian steps
across eras and geographies.
Our recent dance with Pluto
Pluto entered Capricorn in January 2008, right in the middle of the real estate housing bubble burst. As Pluto continued to move through
Capricorn, we saw several global political and economic systems challenged as people subjugated by those systems rose in resistance (eg. the
Arab Spring, #MeToo, Black Lives Matter). Guards of an ageing order stirred neo-nationalism and populist sentiment: “Make America Great
Again” from Trump in the United States, “Brazil above everything, God above everyone” from Bolsonaro in Brazil, Brexit under Cameron and
Johnson in the United Kingdom, a revitalised “Chinese Dream” in Xiping’s China, the global resurgence of Zionism under Netanyahu’s
administration in Israel, the rightward shift since Erdogan’s 2002 victory in Turkey etc. Already tense relationships between governments and
the governed settled into deeper dissention with the launch of WikiLeaks and the testimony of Snowden — truthfully, the cracks are
everywhere you can think to look.

Now we globally prepare for Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius. Aquarius isn’t like Capricorn, it is far more dogmatic, more forceful, less deferential
to institutions and authority, and more likely to exhort a decentralised position.
Sometimes to understand a sign, it helps to consider it in contrast with the opposing sign. Aquarius is opposed by Leo, the fixed-sign
positioned in the height of summer. Leo is a bestial sign, ruled by the sun that shines singularly in our skies. This sign is associated with a feral
outlook, a tendency to glorify and enshrine. Leo ascends somewhat direct or straight against the horizon and what planets invoke from within
this sign tend to last. When Pluto passed through Leo from 1937 to 1958, we witnessed a centralisation of power among the few, distribution of
wealth among the elite, and the moralising of “rugged individualism”.
Aquarius is a human sign ruled by Saturn, the central enemy of the Sun. Through Saturn’s sign, solar images, such as monarchical systems of
government, ostentatiousness, authority etc, are undermined and weakened. This sign tends to emphasise the many, the down-trodden, the
abject. Aquarius rises obliquely over the horizon. This sign isn’t fearful of short-lived wins if they are sufficiently disruptive. If Pluto’s position
correlates with shifts in societal definitions of appropriate uses of power (and it does), through Aquarius we will see the dust kicked up as
Pluto’s transit of Capricorn consolidates into “new” systems prioritising the many over the few. We last saw this when Pluto toured Aquarius in
the 18th century. Upon Pluto’s return two centuries later, we suspect we have outgrown our solutions and efforts to dismantle them are
growing. To bring the ideas together more succinctly, we have:
Pluto | Power and obliteration, amassed traumas stemming from choices made in the overworld, the quarry we can later mine to extract deep
and salient lessons.
Aquarius | Fixed and stubborn, associated with winter and things freezing over, a humane sign associated with logic and reason, describes the
dejected due mainly to its rulership by Saturn.
A historic look: April 1777 to December 1798
Pluto’s orbit is elliptical. It does not transit each sign at an even pace. Presently, Pluto moves swiftest in Scorpio (11-year transit) and most
slowly in Taurus (32-year transit). Aquarius lies midway between the apogee and perigee of Pluto’s synodic cycle, averaging Pluto’s motion
with a 20-year transit. To get a sense of how we might expect Pluto-in-Aquarius to show up in our world over the next two decades, we will
look at the illustrations left to us from Pluto’s last transit through this sign in the late 1700s — we will keep our assessment at an almost
criminally high level, but what we see should still be instructive.
To break up this period, we will be organising Pluto’s movement by sign and by the system of planetary terms laid out in Hephaestion*. Each
sign is comprised of five sets of terms, allocated to the five visible planets, and is the stronger of the two forms of degree-based essential
dignity, the other being dignity by face, or decanate.
Leading up to Pluto’s ingress into Aquarius
The late 1700s was a transition period between the Age of Enlightenment and the Industrial Age. This two-decade bridge features major wars
between nascent and crumbling powers, updates in economic theory, and a rush to figure out how to make high-toll human tasks automated
through machinery and technology.
Russians overcame the Ottomans in the Russo-Turkish war and, for the first time, Russian influence extended into Crimea. Russian attention
has returned to Crimea and Ukraine at the Pluto return of Russia’s victory in 1774.
In the final year of Pluto’s transit of Capricorn, the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence and the American
Revolutionary War officially began.
Adam Smith’s The Wealth of Nations (1776) garnered considerable attention from statesmen and economic policymakers. Critics of capitalism
argue that, as a system, capitalism had a propensity for harmful synergies with a complex web of existing unjust socioeconomic systems, and
had the effect of concentrating wealth and power among the upper classes to a staggering degree.
In Smith’s time, the idea of a free market was a radical one, seen as an efficient way of moving power away from the 18th-century elite (ie
monarchy, the state, nobility). In The Wealth of Nations, Smith argues for the labour theory of value (far before Marx did, although Marx is often
credited for this), and posits that as labour produces the value it has a share in the value that is created. The state-regulated form of capitalism
in Smith’s treatise never did materialise. What we did get is currently undergoing its Pluto return.
As Pluto moves into Aquarius, a humane sign associated with rational faculty, human activity galvanises in rebellion against images of the sun.
How this was done in the late 1700s, and which industries or persons were tackled, will be assessed in conjunction with the term-ruler.
Pluto between 0° 00’ 00” – 5° 59’ 59” Aquarius, term of Saturn: April 1777 to March 1781
The British monarchy, still reeling from a banking crash earlier in the decade, struggled to maintain control of the East India Company during
this period. Incidentally, the problematic bank crisis occurred while Pluto was in Capricorn — Capricorn rules India.
The bulk of the Revolutionary War would be fought during Pluto’s passage through Saturn’s term. The states wanted to be free of association
with the British crown and escape heavy taxes levied without colonial representation in British parliament.
Abolition movements grew in the United States and Pennsylvania became the first colony to pass an Abolition Act. Few enslaved people were
freed immediately; the act outlined a process called gradual emancipation which kept some forms of enslaving legal until the 19th century.
Pluto between 6° 00’ 00” – 11° 59’ 59” Aquarius, term of Mercury: March 1781 to February 1785
Mercury is a planet associated with astronomy and instruments. Through both, the discovery of Uranus was made not five days after Pluto’s
ingress into Mercury’s terms. Uranus was initially named Herschel after the astronomer who discovered it.
During this period, Ironbridge connects the banks of the River Severn in the UK and becomes the world’s first bridge made from cast iron.
Advances in metalwork and engineering ushered in the beginning of the Industrial Era, where machinery and industry proliferate and replace
agrarian economies — a perfect signature combining Pluto, Saturn as the ruler of Aquarius and Mercury as ruler of this term.
America wins the Revolutionary War and becomes fully independent from Great Britain. The philosopher Immanuel Kant published his
Critique of Pure Reason, which sought to define the limits of the faculty of reason and question the possibility of metaphysics.
Pluto between 12° 00’ 00” – 19° 59’ 59” Aquarius, term of Venus: February 1785 to March 1790
Cotton mills first become horse powered. French chemist Claude Berthollet introduced a method of bleaching textiles using chlorine gas.
America names its first president. The British commence colonisation of Australia in the southern hemisphere.
At the close of Pluto’s transit of this term, the French Revolution begins with the storming of the Bastille. This war, alongside the American
Revolutionary War, will profoundly affect global politics, providing successful case studies for implementing democracy and republicanism in

contemporary government.
Pluto between 20° 00’ 00” – 24° 59’ 59” Aquarius, term of Jupiter: March 1790 to March 1794
It is characteristic of Jupiter to increase all things in motion. In this period, the Atlantic slave trade grows. In response, abolition movements
gain momentum in the west. France abolishes slavery — though it would be reinstated under Napoleon in the early 19th century.
Pluto between 25° 00’ 00” – 29° 59’ 59” Aquarius, term of Mars: March 1794 to December 1798
Mars has historical associations with war-like images, fire and illness. His influence over Pluto’s passage through this term is clearly seen in the
invention of the cotton gin, which sped up production more than fifty times. This machine featured a new form of engine that ushered in the
Industrial Revolution.
In this period, the smallpox vaccine was created, the first step toward the successful eradication of smallpox. In the US, states ratify an
amendment to the US Constitution that removes legal recourse for private citizens to sue states they’re not a citizen of. And, for a touch of the
dramatic, the Pope is taken captive in the French Revolutionary War. Pluto left Aquarius and entered Pisces in December 1798.
A speculative look forward
Let’s combine what we saw in Pluto’s previous tour through Aquarius with the world terrain as we see it today and take
a speculative look forward.
Pluto between 0° 00’ 00” – 5° 59’ 59” Aquarius, term of Saturn: March 2023 to Feb 2027
In the 18th century, the British monarchy lost consecutive battles in the American colonies and struggled to maintain the East India Company.
The exploitation of human lives grew, as did the collective rage and rebellion of the common people. I see no reason why this coming period
should be any different.
We are likely to see a major loss for the British crown that will deepen fractures in the Commonwealth into severe fault-lines. As it did with the
Australian continent, the monarchy will probably extend its reach to find a new foothold.
We’re likely to see more protests as labour exploitation increases. A major, foundation-challenging revolution is likely to begin or be seeded
here. It would be very fitting for agricultural developments to be announced during this time, as well.
Pluto between 6° 00’ 00” – 11° 59’ 59” Aquarius, term of Mercury: Feb 2027 to April 2030
With Mercury, we bring in the rational mind, science and technology, philosophy and the arts. In the 18th century, we made major
technological advancements applying to the sky and earth. Aquarius signifies such sharp, dramatic divides like the upper, inaccessible
reaches and the lowest places where humans labour. In our lifetimes, this is likely to result in major space and earth advancements.
The space developments we make will likely be of an obvious nature (colonies are hardly a thing of science fiction!). The earthly advancement
is harder to imagine. Two things immediately come to mind: a super (quantum) computer, because currently the chips driving these
machines are made of sand and silicone; and a vacuum train (like the Hyperloop), which may even be built underground — transportation
certainly seems ripe for revolution! I also suspect we will see important philosophical treatises rise at this time.

The Sun in Fourth House
Sutras 43-50-If the Sun is in the fourth house, the native will have defective limbs, he will be proud, will be opposed to the public and will be hot constitutionally. In the 32nd year of his life he will get congenial environments. He will then become respected and successful, will be learned, attain a high position and will become valorous.

He will not, however, be well off financially. If the lord of 4th house is strong (by being exalted) or is in his own sign and is posited in a quadrant (Kendra) or trine (trikona house namely 1,5 or 9), he will acquire high class conveyances. If the lord of the 4th is associated with or aspected by a malefic or is placed in a bad house (3, 6,8 or 12), the native will have to do with a low type of conveyance. He will have no land of his own and will live in other people’s houses.
Comments–It is said that the native will have defective limbs if the Sun is in the fourth. This is a very general statement Our view is that because of malefic influence of the Sun only that part of the body can become defective which is governed by the fourth house. The statement that the native will do well in the 32nd year of his life and will attain high position etc. can be verified by practical experience. We have found it correct in only one case so far. It is not clear how after getting a favourable turn in his life and attaining a high position, the native will not be well off financially. Perhaps the Sun will not allow him to accumulate wealth, Bhrigu Sutras-has given great importance to the position of the lord of the 4th house in delineating its effects. This is a very logical and weighty principle. No house can prosper unless its lord is well placed. The fourth house signifies native’s own land, own house and his native place. In spite of the Sun being in the fourth house, if the lord of the 4th house is strong and well placed, the native will enjoy the comforts of his own land, house and native place. If the lord of the 4th is ill placed or is otherwise under malefic influence, the native will be deprived of these comforts. It is evident that the Sun alone is not good for the signification of the 4th house. It is surprising that Bhrigu Sutras makes no mention of the mother of which the 4th house is a strong significator. Our view is that the mother will suffer by the presence of the Sun in the 4fh house unless the Sun is in his own sign or has benefic influence on him or the lord of the 4th and the Moon are well placed. The Sun will also adversely affect the domestic happiness of the native.

Note-It will be seen that all the works mentioned above speak of adverse results on account of the presence of the Sun in the •fourth house. Their conclusions are logical and relevant to the significations of the fourth house. They do not contradict the views given by Bhrigu Sutras but supplement them. Only Manasagari has given beneficial results with which we respectfully express our dissent. In our practical experience, we have seen Sun in 4th house (without any benefic influence) playing havoc with the lives of people. One Makar Lagna (Capricorn Ascendant) native had Sun in Aries (exalted) in the 4fh house. She had at one time been a leading actress in the Indian films. We have no words to describe the wretched life she was leading in her mid-forties when she met us. Not bad off financially (as her horoscope was otherwise good), she had a very disturbing domestic life and had absolutely no peace of mind. Her husband and children had all joined against her to make her life miserable.
The Sun in the Fifth House
Sutras 51-58-If the Sun is in the fifth house, the native will be poor, of bulky body and in his seventh year his father will face death, serious illness or misfortune. The native will be wise and brilliant but will have few children. If the lord of the 5th is well placed and strong there will be no death of sons. If the Sun is associated with Rahu or Ketu, there will be loss of children due to curse of the Serpent God. If the Sun is in conjunction with Mars, there will be loss of children due to enemy but there will be no such loss s if the combination of the Sun and Rahu or the Sun and Ketu or the Sun and Mars is aspected by a benefic (Jupiter or Venus). When the Sun is in the fifth house the native will become a devotee of the Sun God. If the Sun is strong the children will be prosperous.
Comments-The 5th is 9th to 9th house and is therefore treated as a house of fortune (Bhagya) also. The author’s view seems to be that the Sun as a malefic afflicts the 5th house and therefore the native remains devoid of wealth. While we agree with this view, we also hold the view that the native will have good fortune if the Sun becomes a functional benefic on account of lordship of an auspicious house. The Sun is a functional benefic, (a) For Taurus Ascendant when as lord of the 4th in 5th , (6) Leo Ascendant when as lord of the Ascendant, he will be in the 5th, (c) for Libra Ascendant when he will be lord of 11th in the 5th , (d) for Scorpio Ascendant when as lord of the 10th he will be in the 5th and (e) for Sagittarius Ascendant when as lord of the 9th he will be in the 5th in Aries, his sign of exaltation. In these cases the Sun in 5th will make the native wealthy, learned, respected and very intelligent. There is no doubt that affliction of the Sun by Rahu, Ketu or Mars in the 5th house will cause loss of children unless there is a powerful influence of a benefic on the 5th house. The adverse results may also not occur if the lord of the 5th and Jupiter (significator of children) are well placed and have benefic influence on them. It is said that if the Sun is strong in the fifth, the sons will be prosperous. This will happen only when the Sun is in his own sign Leo or when the Sun is in Aries his sign of exaltation. When the Sun is posited in these signs, the native will not only be well off himself, he will be blessed with healthy and prosperous children who will be a source of happiness to him.
Other Views
Brihat Jataka-The person concerned will be childless and with out wealth.
Phaldeepika-The native will be bereft of happiness, wealth and children. He will also be short lived. He will be intelligent and wise and will be fond of wandering in the jungles.
Saravali-The native will be unhappy, poor, without children, agriculturist, resident of mountainous regions, wise, without bodily strength and short lived.
Chamatkar Chintamani-The native will lose his eldest son. He will be very intelligent and will influence others by his superior knowledge. He will accumulate wealth. He will die on account of some stomach ailment.
Note-It will be seen that the views expressed in the above recognised works tally in essence with those expressed in Bhrigu Sutras. As we have already stated in our detailed comments above, the adverse results such as loss of children etc. with the Sun in the 5th will be experienced with ascendants other than Aries, Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius. Of course adverse results may be expected in the case of all the ascendants when the Sun, the fifth house, lord of the 5th and Jupiter are under malefic influence. The accumulation of wealth as mentioned in Chamatkar Chintamani will happen only when the Sun in the 5th is a functional benefic. This work also says that native will. die from a stomach ailment. The reasoning behind this statement is that the 5th house represents amongst other things the stomach also. The affliction of the 5th house by the Sun will cause stomach ailments.

12th house

Jan. 22nd, 2023 02:21 pm
What I do see with his empty 12th Moon ruling is there is more than likely a very tragic backstory involving Mother..in some way..

My best friend Ruth has 12th Moon..when I did her chart, and saw that placement it really helped explain things. She constantly denies emotion even after her husband left her..her conversation would be he left me in debt etc..
He left for another woman. I have resorted to calling bs on her a few times now..I do not care about that or that isn't why I am hurt..
I looked straight at her and said..I don't care if you think you are Spock..it cuts you to the quick or you would not be referencing the other woman's haggard appearance or whether she is a jealous nasty woman. If you truly did not care on those most private levels, that stuff would be no concern..on a deeper level this is exactly why her relationships always fail..she is Aqua with Sag moon 12th..sadly she does not see how she alienates others and sadly leaves men cold..Mars Pisces squares..

Also, for decades now, she and her husband have been subjected to charges of scandal and dishonesty. The 12th is the house of deception. But this could be one's own dishonesty or being an innocent victim of someone else's dishonesty. What is interesting in all of the charges of wrong-doing and cover-ups that have dogged Hillary Clinton since the 1970s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitewater_controversy is how very 12th house all of them seem. To her supporters, she's the one being lied about. To her detractors, Clinton herself is the deceiver.
