The suggestion some might take here, in this image, is that rabbits have misappropriated better clothes than they are worth, that they are showing off to gain some little glory, and add a touch of glamour to their dull lives.
And yet the vestments of higher implication are always available for lower life to wear experimentally. A cat may look at a king, and even dress like one.
The values and expressions to which we aspire speak of an inner sense of unrealised self, which needs to be awakened first by recognition. By dressing up we ‘imagine up’.
