EMPTY HOUSES.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Say you have Jupiter in the 10th house, Libra. And, hypothetically, no other planets exist. So every other house is empty. Your interpretation is not limited to the 10th house, even in this hypothetical.
a) Jupiter's signs, Sag and Pisces, constitute the 12th and 3rd house. So these two houses become "active" - and a part of your interpretation of Jupiter. You will interpret the 12th lord in the 10th, and the 3rd lord in the 10th.
b) Jupiter in the tenth - of course depending on its actual degree, and the ascendant degree, will very likely have very strong aspect on the 2nd and 6th houses. Also, likely on the 4th. And possibly on the 7th and 1st. So you potentially have 5 more houses to interpret. (which you would do by interpreting jupiter affecting those houses - more or less very similar to jupiter occupying them).
So just by having Jupiter in one house, we potentially have 8 houses to interpret - 7 of which are empty! And we haven't even opened the topic of Jupiter's subdivisions, and the houses it occupies therein! Nor have we brought up the topic of houses relative to the Moon or Sun!
That's how you interpret "empty" houses. =)
