The three major points in the birth chart

crimsoncurrentThe three major points in the birth chart which are the Midheaven (MC), the north node, and the vertex point had aided in determining what make each individual unique in their pursuit of fatality. They have been central in our studies of individual karmic destiny for years.
In the study, the two vital harmonic charts are used and those are the twelfth harmonic (12th) and the numerological harmonic (the number of the day of birth). What is taken into consideration are the Sabian symbols of the Karmic points (MC, North node, and Vertex) and the interpretation given to these symbols and conducting a parallel comparison and observation to the case study life to check whether the symbols manifest or not, and therefore confirm a validity to the hypothesis.
The Midheaven in Astrology considers to be one of the four axis which manifest daily in our life. The importance of the Midheaven lies in actualizing one's power and potential and acquiring a social status. The Midheaven represents the uprootedness from ancestral karma (the 4th house) and moving towards individual karma and realization of one's destiny in the world-who we are remembered as when we die?- The North Node on the other hand deals with the thematic occurrence in one's life. It deals with karmic duties the individual needs to cater for in order to manifest fulfillment. The North Node represents our life theme and the path we walking towards, and in this it has been vital to determine what the individual must manifest in order to attain happiness. The recent karmic point considers to be the Vertex which appears to be ambiguous to some since intensive research has not been carried on

Very little has been written on the effect of these conjunctions on world events. According to the medieval Italian astrologer Guido Bonatti:
“But the Head of the Dragon (Caput Draconis) is by nature a benefic and by nature masculine, but by accident, sometimes it becomes a malefic. Its nature is composed of the nature of Jupiter and Venus. It signifies increase and things which are increased, e.g. kingdoms, dignities, sublimity and good fortune.”
“The Tail of the Dragon (Cauda Draconis) is malefic by nature, feminine, it is of the nature of Saturn and Mars. And it signifies diminution, dejection, fall and poverty. And it signifies the diminution of every good and of every good fortune. When it is with the benefics, it diminishes their good and when it is with the malefics it diminishes their malice.” [Liber Astronomiae, Tractatus Tertius, Ch VIII].
I used the electional search facility of Solar Fire software to identify the dates of the Neptune – South Node conjunction since the year 1800. I then searched Wikipedia for significant world events that have Neptune /Pisces connotations corresponding to these years. A large number of events were found, but this time the negative influences were more pronounced.

Since both are slow moving, the effects should be felt over a wide time window.
In my previous post I performed an historical analysis of the effects of the Neptune-North Node conjunction. For this post I repeated the same type of analysis for the Neptune conjunct South Node configuration. I searched for past Neptune-Node conjunctions since the year 1800, using SolarFire software. I have entered the zodiac longitude of the event (tropical, sidereal-Lahiri), and any important aspects to Neptune at that time. For each year, I retrieved the likely Neptune-related events from Wikipedia. These are listed below.

Quintile Sun, Square Pluto
- December 25, 1815–January 6, 1816: Tsar Alexander I of Russia issues an order to expel the Jesuits from St. Petersburg and Moscow.
- March 22: The United States signs a treaty with the Cherokee Nation, promising to return land in Alabama and Georgia that was illegally taken by the Creek Nation in 1814. General Andrew Jackson refuses to honour this treaty, using it to justify the removal of Native Americans from the South-Eastern United States.
- March 30–April 11: The African Methodist Episcopal Church is established in Philadelphia by Richard Allen and other African-American Methodists, becoming the first denomination in the U.S. completely independent of White churches.
