(Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) produced charts which were often uncanny in their symbolic description of mundane affairs of the periods and places for which they were calculated. After having accumulated quite a batch of experimental lunar ingress maps for momentous events of every kind ranging from tornadoes to assassinations, from conflagrations to royal weddings, we could see that only a minor displacement of a few minutes of arc in the Moon's longitude would
yield awesomely perfect angular contracts in many cases and improved the symbolic pictures in many other instances.

Early in our evaluations of a wide variety of charts we had noticed
a persistent tendency for the Capricorn and Cancer [b][color=#990000]LUNAR INGRESSES [/color][/b]ito
carry more weight than the Aries and Libra charts. Getting down to brass tactics on this one, we decided to calculate the four preceding ingresses for each date and place at which something of great moment
had occurred. This confirmed the suspicion that the Capricorn and Cancer charts were stronger than the other two. Then a process of separation proved that the Capricorn charts had it all over the Cancer charts, implying that the Capricorn charts were comparable in their impact with personal conjunction lunar returns, the Cancer charts seeming to act like demi-lunar returns. As we shall see, this rule holds true for the SOLAR INGRESSES, too, in which the CAPRICORN ingress stands out as a master chart for the whole year. It is as though the other ingresses are clinchers and timers, helping to narrow down the periods in which a series of stresses are most likely to precipitate as the event itself. Moreover, the cusps of the Capricorn charts are painfully sensitive to subsequent transits, often dating exactly the major event of the period in question. A rough rule we have devised to
accord with the facts as we have found them is that there is a 4-1-2-1 ration involved in estimating the power of the four cardinal points,
Capricorn being twice as strong as Cancer and Cancer being about twice
as significant as Aries and Libra.

Mike New 3 - Neptune stressful aspects and Uranus aspects
Actually, my past researches show that it is usually stressful aspects from Mars or the Sun to Neptune, which appear at shipping tragedies. I shall have to re-evaluate my understanding, as it seems that it can be ANY stressful aspect to Neptune, which is a potential for disasters at sea.
MERCURY - NEPTUNE
I have noticed during my research, much to my confoundment, that sometimes an aspect acts more or less as we might expect and yet at other times, nothing happens. For example, MARS sq URANUS often does correspond with plane crashes, earthquakes, mass shootings, etc and yet on other days having Mars sq Uranus, absolutely no events occur. I still have no explanation.
Anyway, for the imminent MER sq NEP, I would not be surprised to open my paper on Thursday and Friday and see :
1 FRAUD Perhaps another bank has been found to have rigged the currency rates ? Perhaps some foreign leader ‘s secret stash of looted public money has been revealed in an offshore account ?
2 LIES Perhaps we might hear about more companies having inflated their sales /assets, as Tesco did ? Or some accountants having colluded in covering up false accounts ? fake news ?
With the Conservative leadership beauty contest under way, perhaps it will be found that one has lied on their CV ?
3 MISCOMMUNICATION/ MISUNDERSTANDING/MISTAKES Mercury is the planner and Neptune confuses issues. So, perhaps we will read of a plane flying to the wrong airport or a lorry being misdirected by satnav.
C has to do with schools and exams and since it is school exam time now, perhaps we will read about schools having been given the wrong syllabus to study by mistake or mass cheating.
ME sq NEP is MISTAKES … such as the Royal Mint misprinting coins or the Royal Mail misprinting stamps.
4 SMOKING I’ve sometimes seen Mercury Nep contacts at times of stories around smoking. Perhaps there will be news about proposals to control e-cigs? Or allow them in prisons ? Or about a rise in teenage smoking ? Or a major report on medical cannabis ?
Other events : On the BBC Radio 5 this morning, they discussed the launch of 5G broadband in Britain today ( in some cities only) and the rumours about the health impacts of its radiation. One speaker was denying they were rumours and cited scientific research etc. So, MER-NEP = RUMOURS. (Whereas, my research shows that MER-PLUTO = gossip).
Another topic discussed in the media today is tuition fees for the poor. . There are people saying that education , Mercury, is being denied to the poor, Neptune because of the cost of university tuition fees and loans. …. ME = education NE = the poor, the disadvantaged.
When Neptune speaks, it whispers ’dis’........
Disarm, disarray, disconnected, discourage, discrepancy, disguise, dishonest, disillusioned, disjointed, disorderly, dissatisfied, dissipated, dissolve, distracted, disturbed
When Neptune is joined with Mercury, it whispers ‘mis’……..
Miscontrue, misdirection, misfire, misinterpret, mislead, misprint, misread, misrepresent, mistake, misunderstand.
he fundamental core concepts for Mercury stressing Neptune , which will always be :
Fraud/dishonesty/lying ; mistakes; miscommunication; problems with transport, especially ships and smoking . I might also add neurological illnesses, which involve the wasting away of the nervous system.
It doesn’t matter which sign Mercury happens to be in or which one Neptune is in. At least, that is what my personal records show me up to this point.
And I find it is the same with midpoints. I have found that Saturn = Mars / Neptune is often present at large fire tragedies, regardless of the sign in which the midpoint falls or where Saturn falls.
From a predictive viewpoint, I suppose it MIGHT be possible to be more specific by taking the signs into account but highly risky. So, for example, when Mercury next stresses Neptune , on 3rd July , it will be at 3 Leo. I suppose we MIGHT expect the fraud / lying/ miscommunication and mistakes to relate to ‘Leo’ activities . Maybe a fairground owner or a circus will be caught deceiving the public over its misuse of animals or a party/enetertainments organiser will be found guilty of fraud.
Around 7th September, Mercury in Virgo will stress Neptune in Pisces. Can we expect a Virgo tinge to the Mercury-Neptune events on that day ? I’m really not so sure. I think it is the core themes which are the most important ideas.
Time will tell.
Also, Greg, I don't include 'secrecy' in my list of core themes for Mercury- Neptune. My research shows me that secrecy is Pluto, not Neptune. For me, Mercury is dishonesty and confusion but not secrecy.

Mike New 2 - Mars+Saturn+Pluto+Node
It is the waxing Moon, the Quarter Moon at 5:59:20 am UT on 10 June 2019.
The chart set for this time for Argentina is below that.
Mars and Pluto represent POWER and Saturn represents CUT.
Saturn is the reaper, the cutter.
Witte writes : "Mars-Saturn-Pluto = Grave restrictions and disturbances"
Ebertin writes : "Mars- Saturn [ 0698] .."Period of impotence" ( Impotence means loss of power, from the Latin potens = power)
Ebertin [0899] "Node-Mars- Saturn .. A common suffering shared with many people together"
Ebertin [0911] Pluto-saturn-Node...Suffering shared together with others"
Saturn Pluto brings this powerlessness. It was activated by Mars, shared by the Node and indicated to us by the preceding Quarter Moon.
The whole point of Saturn-Pluto is that, when activated in your chart, you will experience events which are totally out of your control and you feel immense frustration. For example i had UR midpoint my SA/PL and my Internet was cut off for 3 months.
The whole point is that it was not about electricity……. Nobody was electrocuted. It was all about the sense of helplessness.
Even if you were very rich, you could not suddenly restore the situation….. even your money did not give you the power to do that…. You were reliant on others.

Many not only had no electricity but no water also because the water pumps were all off. Many were stuck up in high rise buildings because the lifts were not working.

In another direction, we saw the Mali election.
A preacher had run in the general election to become President. He lost and must have thought his political career was dead.
However, after a popular revolt ( claiming vote-rigging) and the intervention of the courts, a re-run of the election was ordered……… Not too surprising, since Pluto means “re” ….. repair, recycling,etc. Jupiter = ELECTIONS Pluto = re-run
