"After a Heavy Storm, a Rainbow Appears"
(Sabian for 25°00′–25°59′ Leo; the degree is read as the next integer.)

Visual Image: Dark clouds part; a brilliant, perfect arc of multicolored light bridges sky and earth. Birds return, water glistens, and the air feels charged with promise.
Core Theme: Renewal after crisis

—the alchemical moment when tension resolves into beauty, hope, and higher meaning. It’s the covenant (biblical nod) that harmony follows chaos, but only for those who endure the storm.
Positive: Faith rewarded; creative breakthroughs; public recognition after struggle.
Shadow: Illusion of resolution without integration—chasing rainbows without grounding the gold.

========================================================================================

At its core, this symbol explores reconnection and discovery amid introspection. The bookstore setting evokes a quiet, inward-focused space—symbolizing the mind's library of knowledge, memories, and forgotten wisdom. A "chance meeting of long-lost friends" implies synchronicity: unexpected reunions that feel fated, reigniting old bonds and sparking new growth. This isn't superficial; it's "transforming/experimental," hinting at alchemical change where encounters challenge us to evolve, test boundaries, and integrate lost parts of ourselves.

Positive Openness and Abundance: The text emphasizes seeking "meaningful connections" through a "positive and open attitude." The universe is portrayed as generous, with "knowledge everywhere." This suggests a worldview of cosmic benevolence—if you're receptive, serendipity delivers fulfillment. It's a call to trust intuition ("follow whatever direction in which you are pulled") rather than force outcomes, leading to enriching encounters.

Inner Depth and Hidden Fire: The Chandra Symbol—"A fire burns at the bottom of an old well"—contrasts the Omega's social serendipity with solitary depth. Wells represent the subconscious or emotional depths (primal feelings, buried traumas, or untapped creativity). The fire at the bottom symbolizes enduring passion or inspiration that survives neglect, illuminating the dark. Together, these symbols suggest that external reconnections (bookstore meetings) stem from internal renewal: diving deep into oneself reignites a creative spark, which then attracts "long-lost friends" as mirrors of our evolving soul.
Spiritual and Evolutionary Journey: References to "recapturing the sparks" (Degree Angel: JELIEL, associated with love, wisdom, and redeeming lost divine essence) tie into Kabbalistic or esoteric ideas of tikkun (repairing the world by gathering scattered light). The friends aren't just people—they're "fellow travelers along the road of evolution," implying soul-group reunions or karmic ties. This degree encourages reclaiming fragmented aspects of the self, fostering unity in a divided world.

Analysis of Complementary Symbols
These additional layers expand the core imagery, creating a multifaceted prism for reflection:

Pleiadian Symbol: "Turned in the hand a quartz crystal glimmers with rainbows." This evokes clarity, refraction, and multidimensionality. Quartz amplifies energy; turning it reveals hidden colors (rainbows as hope or diversity). It mirrors the experimental theme—playfully exploring perspectives to uncover beauty in the ordinary. Analytically, it suggests that reconnections aren't linear; they refract through life's facets, revealing iridescent insights.
Azoth Symbol: "A man marks off a territory for himself." Azoth (an alchemical term for the universal solvent or life force) implies boundary-setting for personal sovereignty. This contrasts the Omega's openness: while we seek connections, we must define our space to avoid dilution. It warns of the experimental risk—over-extension without borders could scatter the "sparks." Together, it balances communal discovery with self-protection.
Seed Degree: Aquarius 5 ("Gradually the wind unearths a temple buried in the sand" and "Humans worshiping an obese nature Goddess"). This foundational energy is about revelation through persistence: erosion uncovers sacred structures (lost wisdom), while worshiping abundance (the Goddess) attunes us to nature's generosity. It plants the seed for the main symbol—unearthed temples lead to bookstore epiphanies, where openness to the divine feminine (nurturing, intuitive) fuels connections.
Fulfillment Degree: Taurus 13 ("A fruit that smells terrible but tastes wonderful" and "A treatise on imaginary creatures"). This outcome degree emphasizes perseverance through illusion: pushing past unpleasant surfaces yields sweet rewards, while inventing "imaginary creatures" celebrates creative invention. Analytically, it fulfills the transforming/experimental arc—deep dives (well fire) and reconnections (bookstore) culminate in grounded, imaginative outcomes, like birthing new ideas from reclaimed sparks.

The Oracle Narrative: A Poetic Embodiment
The closing story vividly embodies the symbols in a vignette. The protagonist searches a cluttered upstairs room (the mind's attic of obscure knowledge) for "rare and forgotten" authors, symbolizing the quest for overlooked wisdom. Encountering a silent, aged friend amid tomes like "Death’s Jestbook" (a real 19th-century play blending tragedy and farce) adds layers: death as transformation, jest as experimental play. Their wordless smiles and "gazes laying against each other, touching like two books" evoke osmotic exchange—stories seeping into one another without effort. This isn't verbal reunion; it's soul-deep recognition, where histories intermingle like pages.
Analytically, the Oracle reinforces introversion as a gateway to extroverted magic. The "back room" mirrors the well's depths; the silent connection, the crystal's glimmer. It humanizes the abstract: in a word-saturated world (books everywhere), true bonds transcend language, seeping essence-to-essence. This could apply personally (reconnecting with old friends) or metaphorically (integrating shadow aspects in therapy, or finding mentors in unexpected places).

Broader Implications and Applications
This symbol suits those in transitional phases—perhaps during Aries season (bold initiation) or when planets transit this degree—encouraging experimental risks in relationships and self-exploration. Psychologically, it aligns with Jungian ideas of synchronicity and the collective unconscious: bookstores as anima/animus spaces, wells as shadow work.

Spiritually, it's a reminder that isolation breeds connection; the "fire in the well" is the alchemical prima materia, transforming base emotions into enlightened bonds.

Potential shadows: Over-romanticizing chance (leading to passivity) or neglecting boundaries (Azoth warning). To embody it, cultivate curiosity—visit literal bookstores, journal buried emotions, or reach out to old contacts. Ultimately, it's an optimistic affirmation: in the experiment of life, lost friends (and selves) are always waiting to be found, if we stay open to the pull.

Synthesis

Sabian Leo 26° = the cinematic climax of Leo’s story: the king (Sun) proves his benevolence after wrath.
Sandbach Leo 26° = the quiet epilogue: the king’s warmth now lives in the cottage hearth, warming the family that survived the storm.

They are not identical, but they are harmonic octaves of the same Leo theme: solar power made beneficent.

The Sabian gives the promise; the Sandbach gives the practice.

Having noticed, say, that Churchill has the Sun one
seventh part of the circle away from Mars and that this has
a certain appropriateness based on the symbolism of the num
ber seven, he may ask himself if there is not some significance
in the fact that Churchill also had Pluto at 21’20’ of Taurus,
almost exactly one-seventh of the ecliptic circle from 0° Aries.
Having noticed that the number five is connected with power
and authority he may wonder if President Ford’s radical Sa
turn at 13° Gemini, almost a fifth of the zodiacal circle from
IP Aries, is not a pointer to the position of authority to which
he was raised, especially when it is noticed that the harmonic
chart for his 60th year (see Fig. 73) shows Saturn once more
in this identical position with an exact trine from the Sun.
In these and many other ways the doctrine of harmonics
has the effect of unifying and enlarging our understanding
through the analogies it reveals between the different facets of
astrological symbolism. Of course these analogies are already
recognised by the thoughtful astrologer, but a fuller exploration
of the harmonic idea has the effect of bringing them into
sharper focus.
Our purpose in this chapter is to pursue a little further
the idea of divisions of the circle in terms of aspects. In doing
this we shall not repeat all that was said about the symbolism
of those numbers already discussed in the preceding three
chapters, but those who are interested in gaining a deeper
understanding of such aspects as the quintile, septile and no
vile can re-read at their leisure what has been said about the
5th, 7th and 9th harmonic charts fully assured that these
accounts wrill illuminate the nature of the corresponding aspects.
We mentioned that the number five was symbolic of the
power both to create and to destroy (mentioning the charts of
Mozart and Hitler as examples of each kind of action), so
there is no need to labour the fact that the quintile, biquintile
semiquintile and sesquiquintile aspects are frequently impor

power in some form or other (such as racing drivers, dictators,
etc.) or seek power (such as revolutionaries) or exercise power

what does the 13th harmonic exemplify and does it explain meghan markles flawed character

Thought for 2m 3s

The 13th harmonic in astrology represents themes of transformation, death and rebirth, and a drive for profound change, often likened to Scorpio energy.

It also embodies a deep inner urge to surpass ordinary limits, a distaste for mediocrity, and a passion for the exceptional or extraordinary.

Additionally, it can highlight originality (sometimes bordering on eccentricity), a tendency toward separation or going one's own way, and a strong sense of mission or purpose to achieve something unique.

These qualities may manifest as a need to transcend current circumstances, potentially involving crisis or renewal. As for whether this explains Meghan Markle's "flawed character," such a characterization is highly subjective and depends on personal perspectives rather than objective astrological fact. In her 13th harmonic chart (calculated from her natal positions), the Sun falls at approximately 6° Capricorn, which could amplify transformative ambitions, discipline in pursuing uniqueness, or a structured approach to personal reinvention—traits that align with her public life choices, such as departing from royal traditions to forge an independent path. However, astrology interprets these as potentials for growth or challenge, not inherent flaws; public perceptions of her actions as divisive or self-focused might resonate with the harmonic's themes of separation and eccentricity for some observers, but this is interpretive and not a definitive explanation of character defects.

BARRY CRYER

The consistent theme of the 13th harmonic appears to be a pioneering sense of mission and purpose, and a desire to break into something new.
The requirement to constantly produce fresh material that
would bring the element of surprise and be relevant to audiences seems appropriate for this powerful 13th harmonic pattern. Barry Cryer seems to not have as intense or extreme a personality as some of the other people with 13th harmonic patterns but this may be partly because the intensity is expressed through a socially acceptable medium of humor.
Since history, astrology, and numerology reflect higher orders of
creation, no one of them proceeds from another. Each is the manifes¬
tation of a higher principle; but when they reflect the same principle,
then one may shed light on another. For example, the fact that the
Egyptian civilization was Cancerian helps us to understand the inner
purpose of this civilization; but at the same time the study of the
Egyptian character may help us further to grasp the nature of the
Cancerian principle.
The study of harmonics in history opens windows on the beauty of
creation. It sharpens the essential correspondence between number
and form. It strengthens our grasp of the logical order of evolution,
and advances our intimations of the relationship between human will
and historical principle. For man’s choices do indeed affect the
particular forms of historical expression, even though there is no
justification for assuming that they change the course of history.
Man’s creative imagination and practical application give form to the
possibilities tossed up by the river of history.
In the end there is no problem of determination versus free will;
there is only the appearance of such a problem, arising from the
limitations of our grasp of the relation between historical process and
man’s role within it. Historical process operates according to strict
law, to which there are no exceptions and from which there is no
appeal. History produces changing possibilities, within which man is
given room to operate. Surely man is responsible for the creation of
particular social and artistic forms—but this should not lead him to
suppose he can create whatever he fancies. Michelangelo could create
sculpture undreamt of by anyone else, but he could not have created
worthwhile sculpture in Romanesque or Egyptian style.
xviii
HARMONICS OF HISTORY
The individual forms of history are not pre-ordained, but its direc¬
tion and purposes are. We live in a lawful universe: Why should
historical process be exempt when physical or natural process is not?
But man, having free will, is given a certain choice within these lawful
operations: He is allowed to employ his imagination and reason
within the range of opportunities available at the given stage of
historical development. So the operation of human genius does
determine the particular forms and meanings whose chronicle we
recount under the name of history. Human genius is a function of the
human spirit, and can choose—not any way it likes, but at least
between this way and that way. Fritz Novotny nicely summed the
situation in saying, “Naturally, I am not thinking of a ‘blind’ law of
development, and I shall avoid saying that it had to come. For being a
matter of the history of spirit, it could surely have been different. But
since it took place as it did, we must note that a highly con

Harmonic Charts - An Introduction and a German Webpost i translated for you (Based on the Research of hans-Jörg Walter) - Part 1
Hi r/astrology,

so I am trying to wrap my head around minor aspects, harmonic aspects and harmonic charts. They are all interconnected, but since the idea in western astrology is rather new, it's hard to come by sources.

I am not hear to convince you of their usefulness, I am not even convinced myself yet, but sometimes people ask questions about harmonics and I have put time into a bit of research, so i thought i do a little compiling it together. If you have insight/sources or ideas yourself, feel free to add them in the comments, we are all students, right? :) And of cause discussion. This is a giant wall of text, but i think it's worthy of that.

For the start on minor aspects i recommend looking into Johannes Kepler - The introduction minor aspects quintile, biquintile and sesquiquadrate: http://www.skyscript.co.uk/kepler.html

As you can read, the whole idea of harmonics is based on harmonics in music-theory. The idea that there are subtle overtones in the chart, that are not covered by ptolemic/major aspects is an exciting one in my opininon and it's not new. The idea of harmonic charts is one that is prevelant in vedic astrology for a very long time.

But what is a harmonic chart and what is the connection to the the harmonic aspects? Now I will add an explanation, which i put together from various sources, that i find easiest to understand and the explanation covered in the article that i have translated later is a really hard to understand one in my opinion.

Computing a Harmonic Chart

The first thing you need to compute a harmonic chart is the question: What harmonic do i want to compute. There is an arbitrary number of them, but the challenge is in interpreting them. Let's take the fifth harmonic that highlights the quintile and the biquintile.

Assume you have a a sun at 18° aries and a mars at 0° cancer. They are 72° apart - a quintile. To compute the fifth harmonic takes three steps:

Compute the absolute degree of a placement, starting at 0° aries. In our example the sun is at 18° absolute, the mars is at 90° absolute - Remember how each sign covers exactly 30°.

Now you mutliply the placement by the order of the harmonic. Every harmonic has a number n, therefore called the nth harmonic - the order is this n. So for our example n equals 5. We take the absolute degree of the sun 18° and multiply it by five. 18° x 5 = 90°. And for the mars: 90° x 5 = 450°.

The last step is to project the absolute degrees we now have back on the chartwheel, which is 360°, no more no less. To do this, we divide our absolute degree in integer division by 360 and take the remainder as the result in our harmonic chart. (If you have difficulty here - because i explained it badly - just substract 360 until you get a number smaller than 360 - I use the modulo [%] as an operator for this operation). So our sun is in 90° % 360 = 90° and our mars is in 450° % 360 = 90°.

In table format:

Placement Step 1 Step 2 Step 3
Sun 18° 90° 90°
Mars 90° 450° 90°
You follow up with this for all placements and you get the fifth harmonic chart. Changing the multiplier changes the harmonic. Thats all there is to the computation.

Now what you see is that the quintile turns into a conjunction in the fifth harmonic. That is the main use of harmonic charts, highlighting aspects. Interpretation of signs and houses in harmonic charts is something that is not recommended by most sources. If you think a bit about what we just did, you can see why.

So basically we have constructed a lense through which we can see the chart from a different perspective.

It is obvious that the first harmonic is our birth-chart, but what about the rest? Like I said in principle it is possible to compute arbitrary harmonics, which could allow to understand aspects that are not exact in the chart on a deeper level. This is primarily gated by a) the exact birthtime - the higher the harmonic order, the bigger is the error induced by an incorrect birthtime, as the error in the orb gets multiplied by the order of the harmonic. b) because of the question of interpretation of the harmonic - we will get to that.

In the fifith harmonic it is not just quintiles you see as conjunct, it's also conjunctions themselves as conjunct. Another thing is that it's not only the conjunctions in the harmonic chart that become relevant, but also oppositions, squares, trines and sextiles. If you have understood the core quality of those, you can start your interpretation of the harmonic chart.

Interpretation

Wait. No you can't, because now comes the most important question: What am I actually looking at? What is the core quality of the harmonic?

So a starting point could be this document: http://www.astrosoftware.com/harmonicfirst32.pdf

A lot of other sources, that do not reference vedic astrology, quote the same sources as this document, just without actually referencing. Yeah thats plagiarizing, but whatever, we are not in the academic world, right... The problem is to find out where a source got it's knowlegde, if everyone is just quoting the same hack, who can tell then?

Which brings us to a source that i think is interesting but gated by language barrier. It's this site: http://www.astrologiedhs.de/html/harmonics.html

Now the first part covers basically this link verbatim (and references it right at the top): http://www.astro.com/astrologie/in_harmon_g.htm?lang=e

The second part is a compilation of Hans-Jörg Walters research on harmonics. Born 1925 in Zurich - Switzerland. A chemist and astrologist, who did publish in german language and put quite some research into harmonics, with focus in prime-numbered harmonics. Prime numbered harmonics are specifically interesting, because they do not appear in some form in other harmonics and are therefore alone harder to decode. The most prominent prime harmonic aspect is the Quintile propably.

Now Herr Walter has put really quite some time into the research of those harmonics and had finally published a book - as far as i am aware only in german - the "Divina Commedia Astrologia" about exactly this subject. The following translated text is based on the book.

Beware that I am not a professional translator, i tried to do it as verbatim as possible, while trying to make it readable, without loosing to much of it's meaning in the process. It's always a bit of a balancing act.

TRANSLATION

Bernhard Rindgen: About Harmonics

1. The technique of harmonics

Harmonics have been introduced to the german speaking community in the 1992 published book "Die Feinanalyse des Horoskops" (The finer analysis of the horoscope-chart), by Michael Harding and Charles Harvey. In the english language John M. Addey has first introduced the harmonic idea with his 1976 published "Harmonics in Astrology".

I want to ask and answer two interrelated questions here: What are harmonics in the technical sense and what dimensions psychologically do they open? Only if they actually unlock a new dimension to interpret the horoscope and understand the human soul, does it make sense to use them - they also have to prevail in astrological practice on the basis of assured interpretation and decoding approaches for individual harmonics. Harding and Harvey have tried to do the latter in their aforementioned book, but Hans-Jörg Walter has gone far beyond in his multiple decade spanning research, that he summarized 1999 in his "Divina Commedia Astrologica" after he published first results with the 19th and 29th harmonic in the "Meridian" in 1987.

Hans-Jörg Walter writes: "The harmnonic chart is not a replacement of the natal chart, it is no alternative to the natal chart. It is merely the natal chart itself... represented in such a way that certain aspects are easier to spot." Are harmonic charts therefore "nothing but" new aspects?

The normal natal chart is the "H 1": A circle divided by the twelve signs, or 360° respectively and there the factors are stringed together and make up in this matrix the aspects and midpoints. The "H3" is: the same circle divided by three and each of those three parts is a new complete circle with twelve signs/360° each; now those three parts are "overlayed with one another". A best illustration to this would be an example: In "H 1" - the natal chart - The sun is on 10° Aries and the mercury is 20° apart at 0° degree Taurus. In H 3 the sun now is in 0° Taurus, Mercury to 0° Cancer. Both now create a sextile - an aspect they could never have in the H 1! Every 20° aspect in the H 1 now becomes a sextile in the H 3, therefore the harmonics make up a "new found" group of aspects - and yet they are more. Because in the natal chart 20° is not an aspect and can not be interpreted, only in H 3 the aspect can be intepreted since it "transforms" into a sextile. The idea of harmonics therefore does not "flood" the natal chart with a number of undifferentiable new aspects, which are now supposed to become a meaning, but add a new dimension and with this background new differences of angles (translators note: difference between placements - so aspects) get an astrological significance, since they have a psychological one. Of cause they are "hidden" in the natal chart, they highlight what the midpoint-idea already implies: Anything is connected with everything - in the myriad of harmonics eventually all planets get in aspect to one another, under the colour of the new harmonic. (translators note: i prefer to think of it as lense and not colour...) The harmonic idea therefore creates a complete, a hollistic view of the natal chart, the whole, but extremly differentiated.

A counter-argument to harmonics is: They are mathematical constructs and for that alone can be dismissed. This argument ignores that the zodiac itself, who every astrologer works with is nothing but a mathematical construct, without relationship to the cosmological zodiac of star-formations, yet the zodiac proves relialbe every day, because the underlying math is a "math of the soul". Aspects and midpoints to are nothing but "mathematical constructs". If it is not offensive in physics - why should it be irritating in astrology.

Aspect-relationships in the H 1 change in another harmonic. Assuming the H 1 Venus is in 10° Taurus, she now creates a semi-sextile aspect to H-1-Sun in 10° Aries. In H 3 the Venus is in 0° Leo, whereas the Sun is in 0° Taurus, creating a square. The relationship now changes character in H 3 compared to H 1, but this relationship is only different in context of the "new dimension of H 3".

The three, through division of the H-1-circle, created zodiacs are to be "overlayed", they can be imagined as connected by a compressed spiral: One can imagine the zodiac to be cut up at 0° Aries and curled three times and those three curles are in perfect concordance; 0° Aries, 0° Leo and 0° Saggitarius are perfectly "on top of each other" - as are 22° Gemini, 22° Libra and 22° Aquarius by the way. In different harmonics of cause different degrees are "overlayed" of cause.

The tradition of indian astrology consider mainly the 9th harmonic, which it calls "Navamsa". A zodiac in H 9 encompasses a width of 40° in the H 1 (360°/9 = 40°), the nine points of Aries are : 0° Aries, 10° Taurus, 20° Gemini, 0° Leo and so on. Inside this mini-zodiac each sign only has one ninth of the original size in H 1, it is only of size 3°20'. Here already it becomes clear that the exactness of position is of utmost importance! Is for example the sun only exact to the degree (known birthday, with unknown birthtime), then aspects in H 1 can be recognized and interpreted - in H 9 the imprecission is nine times as large, that means such a sun would be impossible to place more exact than with an error of ± 41/2°. The moon is even more extreme, even more so in even higher harmonics. Therefore the exact birthtime and exact software is immiment to the harmonical interpretation.

What is possible with three and nine is in principle possible with any number. The zodiac can be divided by nineteen, the resulting mini-zodiacs are 360/19 = 18,95° in size and an aspectless uninterpretable distance of 19°, 38° or 1701/2° in the natal chart becomes a conjunction of highlighted importance in H 19. Therefore unaspected planets in H 1 can become aspect-figures, which allows a completely new interpretation, interpretation in the colour of the harmonic - which is yet to be discovered.

There is the question if it is useful to look at every single division of the zodiac and further, if there are affinities between different harmonics - "families" of sort, whereby the number of harmonics would be reduced due to "kinship".

Due to their character of being a root - prime numbers, e.g. 19 and 29 - had catched Hans-Jörg Walters' attention. If every harmonic chart opens up a new dimension, then it is most likely for prime-numbered harmonics to open up a completely new dimension of depth-psychological importance, which woul be hard, or impossible to grasp by just looking at the H 1. Each prime is an "original number" and can only be related to it's multiples. The H 19, only with the H38, H 57 and so on. Therefore mathematically the H 13 and the H 19 can not be brought together, like the H 3 and H 9, and therefore also not psychologically. (Theoretically this could be done by multiplication, so for H 13 and H 19 the H 247, but such a high harmonic is practically without meaning. Walter regards the H 181 as a "chaotic boundary" of exponential errors after which there is no reliable basis to work with astrologically). The archetypical dimension of H 13 can be regarded as completely different from that of H 19. Both harmonics - all harmonics - have the H 1 in common, the "Sun-harmonic", the natal chart, because the one is the divisor of all numbers. The sun truly is the center of all existence/being.

The correlation between 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th and so on, is obvious a "trigonal-family". The 4th, 8th and 12th create a "quadratic-family". Therefore the H 12 has synthetic character, which brings together the trigonal and quadratic "lines". In a mathematical sense it is therefore easy to create "families", but does it make psychological and astrologocal sense to do so? Here only research can help in finding the answer.

With "interpretation of harmonics" is to be understood in harmonics-astrology: First and foremost, recognizing if a harmonic is strong or weak, if the matrix of mini-zodiacs have strong and clear aspect-patterns, or not - and secondly what the underlying theme, the specific coding, of the harmonic is. If i can recognize significant aspect-patterns and midpoint constellations in a specific harmonic, then it does not mean that i as an astrologist have gained a deeper insight or access into the natives subconsciousness, to the underlying motives of the soul of the native - because i have recognized the importance of the harmonic in the life of the native - but i am still missing the underlying specific code of the harmonic. Therefore i can not yet continue, i can see the mathematical significance, but can't "read it psychologically", which is the method of astrology overall.

Because the depth-psychological importance of individual harmonics is not common knowledge of astrologists, this must be the true reason for the continuing ingorance towards harmonic charts by astrologers in theory and practice.

2. The first 12 harmonics

Walter correlates the planets in useful order to the known aspects. The base idea is that there exists an underlying planetary principle, e.g. Venus has a double-character - like the light has both wave and particle properties, as the physicists assure us. The planet Venus is therefore the "particle aspect of the principle venus", the trine-aspect is the "wave character". In the relation of "particle" (planet) to "wave" (aspect), Walter was influenced by the heliocentric distances of the "particles".

translators note: i skipped the next part and compiled it as a table - i decided to use the names of the link, but i've never heard e.g do-decile, 30° is semi-sextile and 150° is inconjunct/quincunx:

Harmonic [H] Planet [Particle] Aspect-Family [Wave]
1 Sun Conjunction (0°)
2 Mercury Opposition (180°)
3 Venus Trine (120°)
4 Moon Square (90°)
5 Mars Quintile (72°, 144°)
6 Jupiter Sextile (60°)
7 Saturn Septile (51°26' and multiples)
8 Uranus Octile (45°, 135°)
9 Neptune Novile (40°, 80°, 160°)
10 Pluto Decile (36°, 108°)
11 Ceres Un-Decile (32°43' and multiples)
12 Mercury Do-Decile (30°, 150°)
The correlations can be astrologically easily related for plausibility, the psychological character of the aspects is widely known, as is true for the related aspects. Every astrologist has to make their own experiences here: For me, Walters associations connections of planet and aspect has been a fertile seed of thought, which intuitively furthered my understanding of planet and aspect, instead of dogmatically limiting it. It's not an arbitrary system either. Critical mercury and opposition: enlightening. Harmonic Venus and trine, fitting. Moon and square, but why? After deeper reflection the connection becomes clear: the square makes the native suffer in "form and over time" to bring something from the unconsciousnes to the conscious. The moon represents the unconscious, for form and time, the humanities oldest clock. Mercury and moon are connected in the mind, as through the 4th in the second harmonic, where every 90°-(moon) is hidden inside a 90°-(mercury). The moon in esoteric psychology represents the lower-me related mind, a subfunction of the abstract power of mind of mercury.

translators note: for a little different perspective to the same conclusion, consider the glyphe of mercury. the transformation (cross) of the sickle (subconscious/moon) through the conscious (circle/sun).

It turns out that venus, jupiter and neptune too create a line/family with their aspect-associations, the neptunian novile (40°) is hidden in the venusian trine (3x40°=120°) like the jupiterian sextile (2x60°=120°).This correlates with neptune, venus and jupiter being higher octaves of one another in a psychological sense (Oskar Adler explained this in his "Testament der Astrologie" (testimony of astrology)).

Hans-Jörg Walter and myself have created tables that correlate keywords with harmonics. These can be seeds of thoughts for practical astrology, followed by the researchers mind, driven by both psychological intuition and astrological application, alike to the tarot card "The charriot".

Walter's planet-aspect associations for the first twelve harmonics and aspects are worth reflecting over repeatetly, since they are of complex mathematical connection and mathematical connection represents - this is pure astrology - psychological connection. This can be experienced personally, as well as used for interpretation in astrology. It must be mentioned that mars and his higher octave pluto are related naturally (see the 36° aspect and it's multiples), which is completely in lockstep with previous astrology.

The correlation of Ceres to eleven is but worthy of discussion. What made Walter do this? It isn't simply the result of intuition and research. There are no classical planets further from Pluto, therefore eleven would be the first "wave" without "particle". Astrology is not just schematic and makes reasonable associations with mythological motives (which again are of psychological nature). In this perspective the continuation of the line from sun to pluto through an introverted (translators note: introjovial is not a word i know how to translate properly) dwarf-planet is not by accident. The mythology of Demeter-Ceres, which can not be further explained here, is tightly connected with the mythology of Hades-Pluto - and Pluto as lord of the underworld of the dead finds a fitting supplement in Ceres as lord of the earth of the living. (This is also explained in Dieter Koch's article of januarey 2001 in the "Meridian"). However Walter has continually found 11th harmonic charts of people that had a Ceres-quality to their lives, so people that in a heroic-orgiastic way that brought forth a Ceres way of expression - due to a very strong H 11. And the mutlples of H 11 confirm this, especially H 11 x H 11 = H 121. Especially in the last harmonic the psoitive and negative Ceres-characteristics manifest in the psyche very strong, so that a highlighted H 121 shows up for talented mystics as well as for berserkers of death-rush. (Lama Anagarika Govinda - Fritz Haarmann). This double sided nature, has been found by Walter again and again for every harmonic: the unfolded good, as well as the unleashed evil, which is the reason why his book of harmonic decoding is named after Dante's Divine Comedy: A journey from the depths of hell to the heights of heaven.

The correlation of H 12 to mercury and the semi-sextile seems inconsistent on first look, since mercury is already related with the H 2 and the opposition. Walter calls H-12-mercury the "quicksilver one", which he wants understood in the sense of alchemical hermetics. Mercury is not just the smart thinker, merchant and writer, he also is the occult inagurator who brings together opposites. Here the arcane alter ego is shown, of the otherwise rational mercury. (An astrological understanding of this has not grown yet significantly). Mathematically this is highlighted by the number twelve: Bringing together the "families" of the numbers three (Venus, Jupiter, Neptune) and four (Mercury, Moon, Uranus). Of the classical planets only Mars, Saturn and Pluto are outside of this union - and in this context it is interesting that saturn is considered the "guardian of the threshold" in the occult teachings, like the kabballah, the one to resist the thirst for knowledge of the adepts, whereas Mars and Pluto are considered "unholy planets" that represent energies to be made holy.

3. The prime-harmonics (H 13, 17, 19, and so on until H 181)

Decoding of the prime-harmonics has been accomplished by Walter through years-spanning research. Approach can be outlined here, but the intiutive component is not possible to fully describe: He researeched the harmonics of people with remarkable fate - that have/had been controlled by striking motives. The striking ones among these harmonics he kept in mind, they "highlighted a trail". After following those trails, the realization sunk in, that for people with certain common motives certain common harmonics had been highlighted. At the same time through this process, the underlying archetype of the harmonic gained form. He for example found that the 19th harmonic has been highlighted for people that have a strong theme of sexuality and game, highlighted with planet-clusters strong aspects and midpoints. The insight, that the square 19 x 19 almost equals the numbers of degrees in the zodiac, polished the frame. Eros (sexuality and libido) is the root of all life taking place inside the 360° circle. - The confirmation of a decoding also has to be done by finding additional examples, which again can further widen our understanding of the harmonic archetype.

Important: "Harmonics always reaffirm and stengthen tendencies - and only those already present in the H 1" (Walter) A harmonic can only become active, "if a constellation in H 1 confirms it. The other way around a constellation can never fully realize a potential, if the corresponding higher harmonic is in deficit. A harmonic in H 1 harmonic, alike to midsums, adds contour and profile." This leads to insightful conclusions, for example against the argument against astrology, that people with almost the same charts have completely different tendencies in behaviour and potential - their horoscope is NOT almost the same.

Let's look at the different decodings for the prime-harmonics now:

The 11th harmonic has arleady been talked about, heroic commitment and bacchian-dyonistic ecstasy are the main "colours" of this harmonic. Examples: Hans Scholl and Oscar Romero (Typus: political hero), Albert Schweitzer (ethic hero) and Vivekananda (spiritual hero). A "wrong hero", that instigated people to berserker-like kill-rush was Josef Goebbels. This decoding can not only be shown in the "wave-charater" but also in the "particle-character" Ceres, as I have discussed in my article in the Meridian from january 2001.

In the line of 11th harmonics are the marsian (5x11th=55th) and the saturnian (7x11th=77th) from note: The 55th harmonic has linked by Walter to people that consume drugs - it is in a way the brutal (Mars) way to open the gates of the subconscious to experience ecstacy. The 77th harmonic on the other side, combines bacchian Ceres with the lord of structure Saturn in a high form of art, which puts the ecstasy of the body in a disciplined form, the dance. Dancers are highlighted harmonically in the H 77.

With Prime-Harmonics >11 there is no "particel" equivalent. If there are corresponding asteroids, is neither know to Walter nor myself.

The decoding of the 13th harmonic is outlined by Walter with the words "birth, seperation, originality". In natives with a strong H 13 you will always find variations of the theme "seperation", "going the own way" and "originality" (up to excentric). The "unqiuely personal" that everyone has, like everyone has a 13th harmonic - is highlighted in one way or another for those natives. Collectively H 13 manifests in sects that go for their own from the mainstream seperating way in the world of religion. The seperation from traditions and roots can escalate into irresponsible egomanic - the examples discussed by Walter show the full width, the lightest and darkest sides , existencial philosophers like Heidegger and Sartre, the hihglighting of "being-in-the-world" translators note, thats i think the official translation of that term by heidegger, the exact would be: thrown-into-the-world, which is more beatiful :D, innovative lone wolfs like Benz and Gates, authors like Kafka and Joyce, artists like Dali and Beuys - they all share this very special "colour" of 13 H. It is the common denominator for power-driven people and social dropouts and in the "heaven or hell" of this archetype you find Albert Schweitzer and Robbespierre, also the founders of "dissenting" religious movements can be found here: Luther, Blavatsky, Steiner, Rajneesh, Hubbard, Malcolm X.

Walter researched the square of the H 13, the H 13 x H13 = H 169, which shows the theme of "dissent" and "originality" in extreme form, think of comedians like Karl Valentin; typical for the "negative, destructive side of the scale" are people running amok - where the H 169 shows a ticking timebomb. The mass murderer, without looking at his victims, is practicioning the most extreme form of seperating from the world that surrounds him. The H 169 doesn't have the power of H 13 to define new norms and styles for the masses, to found communities - they are to individualistic.

The 17th harmonic makes people look for their source. In the spiritual search for the godly source of all existence shows the highest psychological manifestation of this archetype. But also scientists speicifcally astronomers have a strong H 17. The unprejudiced observer can almost not not notice the subconscious spiritual motive of these people. With the humanic too-humanic blend this archetype shows for artists, who always have to be very self-centered: narcicissm, vanity, navel-gazing can be the costume the archetype manifests in, if the source isn't searched in transcental spheres but is looked for in the sphere of self. Positively this can show in the autobiographic reflexion. The authors of important autobiographic writings have a highlighted 17th harmonic, like Marcel Proust und Anaïs Nin. Yogananda ("Autobiography of a Yogi"), Anagarika Govinda ("The Way of the White Clouds") and Taisen Deshimaru are examples where an autobiographic moment has given the H 17 it's spiritual impulse.

The 19th harmonic has already been discussed. Examples are Sigmund Freud, the proponent for sexual enlightenment Oswald Kolle, the founder of the Playboy magazine Hugh Hefner, the porn-actor John Holmes, and the manifestation of collective erotic phantasies Marylin Monroe. Their (or her...) H 19 is extremly impressive.

An enlighting example is Woody Allen: His fundamental theme of sexual inhibition inherent to all his movies, can not be delianted from his H 1, but is instantly recognisable in his H 19!

Not only sexdrive, but also game instinct - characterize the H 19. In it's game-like aspect sports belongs here too, especially the swim-sport with his "naked" bodily aspect, which is missing in chess-players, but not the mental game-aspect.

The 23rd harmonic associates with the buzzwords "risk, adventure, fate". Walter showed this one special attention, in that he looked into the H 1 and H 23 of people who had highlighted adventure as an important motive, if not an obsession. So Jessica Dubroff a seven year old (!) pilot who crashed to death, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry the author of "The little prince" and also crashed pilot, or Neil Armstrong the first man on the moon. His H 1 shows MC midsum to moon and uranus - which is the individual professional component of the adventure moon-landing - His H23 shows Moon conjunct Uranus and in grand trine with the social planets Jupiter and Saturn.

In literature circles a highlighted H 23 is expected for authors of adventure-novels and extraordinary examples here are Jules Verne and Karl May. In sports it shows for runners, where often equally Mars and Pluto are highlighted in H 1, H 5 and H 10. Interestingly the 23rd harmonic shows up in economical and political areas, risking entrepeneurs and political gamblers/troublemakers like Mussolini and Berlusconi are typical "23s".

With the 29th harmonic we enter a compeltely new area of the soul, one is tempted to call it a change from the right to the left area of the brain, or from the male-lines archetypes to the female ones. The H 23 has two faces, the "lunar" and the "plutonic"; it's codes are "death, dream and unconscious". Typical candidates for a strong 29th harmonic are psychoanalyticists - who long after the khaballists - steeped down into the subconscious depth of the soul, therefore Freud, Janov, Jung. The striking H 29 of C.G. Jung instantly makes obvious. why it's owner has been the pioneer of archetype-research.

But also parapsychologists and occultists, the unloved brothers of psycholgists, unravel themselves as "typical 29ers" and those authors who had occult (hidden) and death-related thematics. thanalogists, asstants for dying, as well as executioners reference the same area of the soul with their choice of employment. Another area that may strike as surprising has to be mentioned in the context of decoding this harmonic: humour. Walter wrote to this: "Who does this fit together...? This superficial paradoxon dissolves when looking at the connection between the figures of the reaper and the clown... and understand: humour is a counter-approach to "humourless" death, almost a rebellion to it. Also, this humour plays with the subconscious - the "lunar-face" of the H 29, with which it creates the material for it's paradoxical connections." - Such an overlap of thesis and antithesis in the same archetype can be shown in H 59, which operates (and this will be shown later) in justice and injustice. For the experienced psychologist this "marriage of opposition" is a known thing.

The 31st harmonic encodes with "abstraction, role, ghetto". Wherever a mental movement of abstraction and classification happens, the H 31 can be associated. Mathematicians are often owners of a strong 31st harmonic, examplery names are Leibniz, Poincare und Ramanujan. Botansits like to classify and categorize too and so do sociologists, like Max Weber and Karl Marx. For the letter the "ideologist" side of the H 31 shines through, because every ideology violates the reality by spinning a net of abstractions, which often take life of their own. In esoterical texts i found the formulation "Choking reality by thinking". On the other hand an individual and collective life is impossible without categorization.

In-role-behaviour is a way to fit into social categories, which can lead to be stuck in the mask of an office-bearer. Or on the other hand in liking the distinct role of an outsider. The original or the social-dropout, is and that shows harmonical astrology, not a one-dimensional behavioral patter, but needs to be differenciated in at least two facettes: In H 13 the lone wolf seperates from the origin and environment to gain individuality, in the H 31 he takes place in the role of the outsider. An additional facette brings chiron, the "centaurian" archetype of the odball (compare to Walters research on chiron in 1984).

The dark sphere of hell of the H 31 is where the archetype is missused and groups of people are excluded, since they don't fit into the assigned role, or are needed as scapegoats. For fanatical nationalsocialists this harmonic played an unholy role as a matrix for feelings of hate and murder, mentioned here are Gobineau, a theorist on race in the end of the 19th century, Hans Grimm (people without room) and the us-politician Duke, racist and member of the republican party. In theological circles we find dogmatics like Lefebvre and Ratzinger.

The "shadow" too is Code of the H 31. killers that lost it and schiziphrenic criminals are catched by their own shadow, when commiting their deed, just like Stevenson wrote in his book "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" - Stevenson too is a "31er". For such kind of murderers Walter always found another harmonic highlighted, either the 11th, where the shadow melts with the blood-red rush of killing - or the lone wolf H 13, where the killing is not blood-red, but cold blue - or the sexual H 19.

The 37th harmonic, Walter once called when speaking with me, the myserious, the riddled one. "Disguise, Secret, Transformation" are some of the keywords. In science specifically associated is chemistry, in whichs focus is the transformation both organical and anorganical elements. Walter: "For almost all significant chemists and nuclear physicists, i have found a more or less significant H 37!" As some sort of base-equation can be seen the E=mc2. But doesn't try alchemy - in a spiritually higher plane - to do the same thing? Isn't it an "alchemy of heart", which tries to transform the adept into a human, through processes, which are highly symbolical and first and foremost C.G. Jung has tried to decipher in modern times? C.G. Jungs 37th harmonic is highlighted and especially in the mercurian mutliplication 2x37th as the 74th harmonic. (On this example should be noted that the magnified perspective of a prime harmonic by multiplication with mercurian two, or venusian three can further highlight - but ultimately not change it's nature - strong or weak.)

For transsexuals the theme of transformation is lived to the upmost extreme. They are a good example of how a very specific harmonics can together describe a themes life, better than it would be just possible with H 1. So among the trans-sexuals - or how they call themselves trans-identics (from "identity") - the 19th as the sexual harmonic is of cause highlighted, futher with the 31st and the theme of outsider and ultimately the H 37. In H 1 I've found, that among the Mars and Pluto, the Juno and the Moon-Perigee Priapus highlighted: The Juno as goddess of marriage-related sexuality - which in a way rearranges the sexual identiy for trans-identities and Priapus which as god of repressed sexual desire - here that of the other gender.

Also people that have a cathartic change of heart live a strong H 37. Religious converts like Huysmans, Schlier, Papini, Muhammad Ali belong here.

Each transformation is preceeded by a puppation period and during this puppation a human represents a secret, or carries it around. Like Bruno Traven a.k.a. Ret Marut a.k.a. Otto Feige carried the secret of his origin, only unravelled years after his death. Or think of Greta Garbo, whom in her second part of life almost lived hidden. The terrible secret of the preceeding pope can also be used as an example. translators note: the author is reffering to pope John XXIII, who died of cancer. A very obvious example puppation is packaging, and mentioned here the almost-obsession, which the packaging artist Christo uses to package buildings all around the world,or the packaging of the haute-couture of prominent fashion designers. It's always the same archetype! The same that on biological level puppates the caterpillar, before transforming into the butterfly, or the one a bride undergoes, when she puppates in white for the wedding, until she undresses in the bedroom, to undergo the transformation of the wedding-night.

Secret is also prevelant in espionage, cons, forgery and generally in processes of the courts of justice. For author of criminological literature, as well as for spies there is a prominent H 37. A really beatiful case is that of the reporter Wallraff who masked himself for his research to later reveal. Manfred Witmann was a criminal and murderer by lust, that had to hide his true nature, by acting socially harmless. The dark side of H 37 can be described as "wolf in sheeps clothing".

Decoding of the 41st harmonic is "Logic, Ratio, Coldness of feelings". Rationalists, positivists and marxists, mathematicians, programmers and fincancial experts - for all of them a strong H 41 is prevelant. Known names are Einstein, Kant, Feuerbach, Skinner, and the inventor of computers Alan Turing and the man who built a computer empire: Bill Gates. Also the astrologist Michel Gauquelin who tried the first statistical mass-analysis with the goal to establish a scientific proof of the effectivness of astrological constellations had a strong H 41.

The example Einstein - his H 41 is remarkable as in that almost all planets are connected by major aspects - shows the limitiations of this harmonic: He could not accept the "irrational" results of quantum physics ("God doesn't play dice.") and spent the last years of his life - according to the insight of many physicists today - with useless theoretical undergoings to refute it.

In Dante's Divine Comedy, the deepest depths of hell are not a sea of flames, but a place of eternal coldness. Walter: "By going through the 41st harmonic too, i entered the regions of hell, where an unimaginable coldness of heart meets crime." The horrible names should just be mentioned here: Mengele, Eichman and in recent years Dutroux.

The 43rd decodes as "Arrow of time, Pioneering, Future" as some of it's keywords.

Teilhard de Chardin was a theologist and paleontogist, who manifested the vision of the 17th as well as the 43rd in excellent manner. The evolution of humanity in the past and it's spiritual future interested him equally. A future he tried to graps in cosmologist christology: Past and Future will someday be in a christian earth, be one like within and without, suffering and action, an eternal breath of god will revive a salvated creation. In his H 1 he had Jupiter conjunct Saturn (breath in and out) at midpoint of Mercury and Venus - In his H 17 Mercury and Venus conjunct in the midpoint of Jupiter and Saturn, in the H 43 Mercury and Venus are in opposition and this axis is in the quadratic midpoint of Jupiter and Saturn.

Pioneering acts in science exist on the archetypical matrix of this harmonicKopernikus, Kepler, Einstein, Heisenberg, Hahn, Fermi (the names of the nuclear physicists already herald the dark side), Lindbergh, Oberth ("The rocket to the planets of dreams"), Eiffel, Barnard, Marx, Bloch ("Spirit of Utopia"), Schönberg, Nostradamus, Jungk (Futorology) - all those people belong to very different areas of science, technology, medicine, philosophy, art - but all common is this lasting innovation, the "futuristic" act of pioneering, the orientation towards a "goal".

The 43rd too has a darkside, the satanic opposite of salvation is final solution. (translators note: thats a wordplay on german "Erlösung" - salvation and "Endlösung" - final solution.) The orginization of the nazis have lead the archetype of H 43 into it's darkest depths.

The 47th harmonic has the keywords "physics, sports, music". Really different human pasttimes - on the first look. They can be categorized in the terms of "motorics", "kinetics" and "vibrations". The last term is actually to all-encompassing, because it is "the whole godly creation that is a giant carpet of vibrational patterns" (Walter). But shall be used as a guiding theme for this harmonic anyways, in it's physical and physiological meaning.

The control of the body which is set into vibrations, is an athletes foremost goal to accomplish performance. It is about controlling the motorics of the muscles, in group sports it is about to synchronize the movement of different team-members. Similar in musics when handling sounding, vibrating instruments, be it the throat, or the orchestra. The list of natives with H 47 is the longest in Walter's book on harmonics, it covers athletes of all sports, and covers classical and modern virtuosos, as well as componists and dancers. One of the most beatiful examples is that of tenor and conductor Placido Domingo.

The H 47 manifests in the chriping of the cricket, in the songs of the whales, and in the "music of the spheres" the mystics talk about.

The equivalent of physical vibration shows up in the fact, that those physicists show up in the list of H 47 that have researched vibrational and wave-related phenomena: Ohm, Hertz, Fraunhofer, Marconi as examples.

In the 53rd harmonic we find an archetype far away from the happy and practical H 47, or the rational H 41: It goes down into the reptiles brain, archaic emotions and motivations of the human, away from the light. Light only reaches the archetype only in the colour of figurative speach of the myth. Next to "myth", "symbol", "Violence" and "killing" are the keywords coding this harmonic.

Symbolism is a common form of art for H-53-artists and -authors. Among the surrealist poets, almost all have a highlighted 53rd harmonic. Calligraphs and illustrators - especially when working with archaic motives - like Alfred Kubin. The tellers of tales, researches of mythology and psychologists that work with the symbols of the unconscious (and have a strong H 29 at it's side). Considering astrology, it is not surprising that almost all important astrologers have a H 53 - astrology is the symbol-system per excellence. A beatiful example would be the H 53 of Dane Rudhyar.

Wars are conflicts between people/nations, where the ability to communicate has collapsed on a subconscious level - they encounter each other just as carnivors and are no longer responsive, how recent history shows , to reason and humanity, but open to the most absurd mythologilisation of their situation. Walter lists a great list of military leaders as 53rs. "Blood rituals" could be another keyword for the dark side of the harmonic, as bullfighters also have a strong H 53.

Criminals and political murderers , as well as their victims are "marked" by a strong H 53. This shouldn't lead to the idea that such "horrific experience" is god-given and terrible death (not death as in H 29) and violence is inevitable. However the important H 53 shows how influential archaic powers in the soul are still an a humanity lead by reason. If myth and symbol are the appropriate instrument to access those depths of soul and to civilize them, than this also means a stupid overestimation of the power of reason in new-age philosophy (example Harbermas) is doomed to fail and a certain "bringing home of archaic depths" into social life is necessary, to integrate those archetypes, like the H 53.

The H 59 encodes in "ethics" and "law", but also in "contempt of law". Law in the sense of H 59, means not just juristic, but also natural law and theological dogma. The human, the society, makes up laws as universally binding - as nature did always. The list of natural scientistswith a strong H 59 is long and some names also could be found in other harmonics: Kopernikus, Kepler, Newton, Einstein, Heisenberg. Interesting is that doctors and therapists that try to implant an "observing the law of the body", or their "reinstatement" have a strong H 59. The archetypical width of this harmonic is wide, but always stringent: Doctors and therapists try to lead the client, his soul, or his body back to the "laws of functioning", where they have been thrown out by illness.

Laws of church are another area of H 59, whereas a tendency can develop towards dogma and encyclicals. Ethicists who work on the question of theodicy (the justice of gods order of the world), are another example. And how previously mentioned the "lawless anthithesis" also belongs to this harmonic: people, who declared "lawlessness" almost as a personal rebellious program also are highlighted by a strong H 59: Jesse James, Billy the Kid, the members of the RAF translators note: the leftist german terror organization Red Army Fraction, or the black magician Aleister Crowley, who formed the order of "Thelema" with the motto "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law!". In a harmless variant it's poeple who silently or provokong break the conventions and society and violate taboos.

4. The "Golden 60-Distance Rule"

The 60 is of special interest for harmonics-astrology. First as the seperation between both spheres of harmonics: the "inner-sphere" with harmonics of up to 59, and the "outer-sphere" with harmonics>60, there connects the "Golden-60-Distance-Rule", which Walter found during the work on his book (after already decoding most of the harmonics) and which confirmed the decoding, in that it connected individual harmonics of the "inner-" and "outer-sphere" in a reasonable way.

In the example of H 7, H 67 and H 127 Walter explained this rule: "These harmonics relate to one another - metaphorically speaking - in the relationship of octave to higher octave. The prime-harmonic H 7 represents the saturnian principle, where the term of "structure" belongs. For the first secondary prime harmonic H 67 i found empirically the wholistic symbol-association of "system". Systems are integrated wholes, whichs properties can not be reduced to smaller units. In fact to the theme-complex of H 67 for linear connect material systems, like machines, but also non-linear open systems like organisms, ecosystems, social systems, which are able to self-sustain. The next higher octave is the prime harmonic H 127: It encodes according to my research structures from symbols which interconnect/combine to writing, formulas and software - letters, numbers and signs.

For decoding the secondary prime harmonics, it is important in any case to look at the harmonics divided by the factor 60. The hereup research-results of Walter are outlined in the next table. The comparison with the table of the inner prime harmonics can be enlightening.

Astrological resarch can not come to new conclusions via statistical analysis. One could create giant databases, define with harmonics, which are categorized as weak, middle and strong and then get out the descripiton of significant personalities - but the mental tie would be missing, which distilles the psychological meaning from the data. Astrology is to be understood as a human science translators not: like philosophy, psychology and so on... not a natural one. Without psychological insight it remains a cold collection of methods, symbols and archetypes. It is art, art of interpretation not unlike that of the psychoanalyst. Walter: "To seperate a strong harmonic, from a weak, a chaotic one, it takes a certain sensorium, like the art-critique has, who can seperate between ingenious pieces of art and pretentious bricolage." Or the psychoanalyst, who has a fine sense for important elements of dreams to filter them out of the dream-descriptions of his patients. I am convinced that harmonic astrology with it's decoding of the deep structure of archetypical humans can be a useful tool for a psychologists work - if the psychologist is ready to accept it.

Credit is given to Bernhard Rindgen the original author in german, Hans-Jörg Walter the original resarcher and u/vheart for encouraging me to do this :) and green icetea because it's awesome :D

Sorry it is such a long post, it took a ridiculous cut out of my time :D, but it was fun. If you managed to get trough, then I hope you could take away something new or enlightening and feel free to leave a comment. Have a nice day :) I'm done for today, lol.

Hmm... I seem to have strong 19th harmony chart and not seeing this interpretation familiar. 114th harmony (19 x 6) is extremely strong (Sun-Venus-Mars-Pluto combination as conjunction). And link to https://www.astrosoftware.com/harmonicfirst32.pdf tells another story: it interprets 19th harmony as Venus-Mercury- style, the latter stronger.

Something about VA i'm trying to understand, and hopefully someone can clarify this for me. The question is this: how can a planet have different aspects (or vibes) with another planet? Example: in my chart, Jupiter is in a 7 vibe Harmonic with Mars, then it's again in a 13, in a 21, 25 and 169 Harmonic with Mars. How is that possible? To me, it's almost as saying that Jupiter is in a square with Mars and in a trine with Mars. :)

Astrological Aspects - the 7th Harmonic Septile Series and Creating Our Destiny
by Robert Wilkinson

The aspects are angular relationships between various points in the “whole cycle.” Each represents a unique phase relationship between two planets or planets and points. There are various aspect series created by the division of the circle by integers. Today we take a new look at three of the most important aspects in a chart involving the 7th harmonic series of the septile, biseptile, and triseptile. Whether we find them in the natal or progressed positions, or transits to these and other transits, these are three of the most important aspects, since they represent points where we choose our destiny.

I first offered my take on the basics of the septile and novile series aspects in my 1978 book Astrology and the Spiritual Path, out of print for many years. I recently gave you a post about my history using the 7th, 9th, and 11th harmonic series plus their glyphs in the article Astrological Aspects – The 7th, 9th, and 11th Harmonic Series Aspects and Their Symbols. As I gave you in that article, the 9th harmonic, or novile series, deals with points of spiritual realization either preceding or coming after a time of gestation. The 11th harmonic, or elftile series, deals with various points in a cycle when we must make “leaps of faith” to resolve a duality to come to some form of mastering that type of duality. The 7th harmonic, or septile series, deals with nonrational points of choice and change where we determine our future destiny by our choices in the present.

Today we’ll take a deeper dive into the septile series aspects, so that you can apply some of your observations about these crucial points of decision which create our future. By noting the various septile-series aspects in play in your charts and in the transits, this can help you understand why things can be so weird at times, why there seems to be no reason for some things to happen, and why often all of our thinking and reasoning and explaining still doesn't help us choose when confronted by critical decisions. These are “forks in the road of destiny” when they happen, since they mark times when we confront crucial character decisions, which shape our destiny as time goes on.

How Do Septiles Work?

The septile series is found in the angles which result when we divide the circle by 7. When we divide the circle of 360 degrees by 7, we are given the septile (51+ degrees), biseptile (102+ degrees), and triseptile (154+ degrees). Due to the non-rationality of the numbers produced when the circle is divided by 7, it is assumed that these aspects represent non-rational points in the cycle.

On a personality level they can show as obsessive or compulsive behavior, irrationality, or weirdly inexplicable points in the process. Naturally, there are harmless compulsions and harmful compulsions, and even irrationality can be turned to genius.

When operating interpersonally, they are points of meeting people who are important in shaping our choices, or realizing that we can no longer go forward with someone in an old way. They may coincide with us meeting a Soul Mate, as discussed in my book The Magic of Venus: Friendships, Soul Mates, and Twin Flames, where our lives change forever as a result of our meeting that person and dancing down the Path of Life, whether for a day or a lifetime.

When operating transpersonally, these aspects represent when we choose to fulfill Dharma, or Tao, making conscious choices to follow the good, further the good, and accept the changes shown at these forks in the road. They are moments when we see we must choose a direction, and so are moved to understand what direction will best fulfill our highest intention. When we confront circumstances which force us to choose which way we will define our personality and therefore our future, there’s always a transit making a septile-series aspect to our natal or progressed positions.

As I mentioned, the septile is a “7th harmonic” aspect, derived by dividing the circle by 7. In numerology 7 is Saturn's number. Since Saturn is associated with our Dharma, “Ring Pass Not,” and all the other symbols of spiritual maturity, we can associate these points deal with “destiny.” Saturn rules all "7 stage processes" where we make choices at critical junctures which bring us turning point in our destiny along our road of Life.

All 7 planets have their part in the dance, and each also has 7 stages in any process where that planetary Light reveals its secrets within our higher purpose. Each of the 7 visible planets has its department of labor, the totality of which help us guide our lives through understanding into wisdom. The 7 "Planetary eyes" feed their light into the "All Seeing Eye" of Uranus, or Divine Wisdom.

I explain how Saturn and Uranus work together to awaken us to our Higher Powers to take command of our destiny in my book Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend. Saturn helps us give form and structure to our quest for Self-realization; in Capricorn, it teaches us how to accept and use personal power within a socially responsible context, while in Aquarius it teaches us how to make a greater contribution to our civilization and come together with others in a great effort “ensouled by a great vision.” Coupled with Uranus having awakened us to the fact that the old answers aren’t enough along with the need to accept spiritual power to shape our world, we are collectively “breaking on through to the other side” into an unfolding Higher awareness.

Each time you read any section of this book you will find new insights about your power to throw off all the attitudes and memories which hold you back from finding and living the life and purpose. If you’ve haven’t already gotten your copy, you can go to the Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend to find out more about how to make friends with your inner Saturn and take command of your Self-unfoldment.

All 12 Areas of Human Existence Have Their Turning Points

Our lives are a mish-mash of potentials, As we make our way through our various life cycles, we confront certain points where we must choose to precipitate change or keep on track leading to more of the same. Through the timing indicated by septile series aspects we learn to awaken to potentials that lead to choices fulfilling certain kinds of karma and negating other karmas.

This is the true "response-ability" that we accept as a result of Saturn's lessons. Any planet septiling, biseptiling, or triseptiling any other planet has hit a fork in the road of that process, a point where reason and logic may not be helpful in making the choices that need to be made, or where we may confront a decision that will change our lives in the future.

The septile, falling 51 degrees 26 minutes from any given point, shows the first or last fork in the road relative to the conjunction. In a transit, the waxing septile comes after the first internal crisis of growth at the waxing semisquare and precedes the productive period shown by the waxing sextile.

The waning septile comes after the final productivity of the waning sextile phase of the process and the choice at the waning septile precipitates the internal crisis at the waning semisquare. The waxing septile is a point of emergent choice showing which way the process will develop, while the waning septile is the final choice before the disintegration of the old form, forming the seed that will grow anew at the new beginnings indicated by the next conjunction.

The biseptile, falling 102 degrees 52 minutes from any point, is said to be a point of "exteriorization of destiny." While sounding very dramatic, in fact it is simply the next fork in the road of the process that starts at any conjunction, or the next point where the irrational elements of being will show up.

It is the natural decision point after the crisis of the waxing square before the productive period of the waxing trine, and usually involves some deep foundational material, since it falls in the fourth house relative to any point. The waning biseptile has the same irrational "exteriorization of destiny" qualities, but since it falls in the ninth house relative to any point, it is the culminating fork in the road to seeing the truth of a thing, and it precedes the culmination point of the waxing square.

The triseptile comes in at 154 degrees 17 minutes, and indicates a non-rational, cooperative-collective point in the process, since it always falls in the sixth or seventh house relative to a point. It is like the other points in quality, except that it usually involves other people who are also at a critical fork in their own cooperative road. These are interactive points of adjustment, refinement, shifts in how and who you related to, and show you how others are or are not a part of your larger “destiny.”

A final important note: if you have two or more planets in a septile, biseptile, or triseptile to each other, they will naturally create resonant "void points" where other septile series aspects fall. These are trigger points for irrational conditions or personality "destiny" elements to come forth in the life. Though these periods can seem very weird indeed, they are points of choice, decision, and movement where reason may fail even though major things are in motion.

For example, if someone has an occupied point at 14 Cancer and another occupied point at 19 Sagittarius, it’s about 155 degrees, which is a triseptile. Each and both of these will be triggered by progressions and transits around 4-6 Virgo, 26-28 Libra, 9-11 Aquarius, 1-3 Aries, and 22-24 Taurus, because each of these zones makes a septile, biseptile, or triseptile to the two occupied points in Cancer and Sagittarius.

If there are three or more occupied zones, it sets up a very powerful evolutionary configuration field. If 14 Taurus, 6 Cancer, and 19 Libra are all occupied it automatically sets up harmonic resonance zones around 27 Leo, 10 Sagittarius, 2 Aquarius, and 23 Aries. Any planet moving through these zones will trigger all three occupied points. This has important implications in terms of what house they're in and what signs are ruled by the affected planets. Because all the zones are transited by the inner planets at least once a year, and once a month by the Moon, it’s easy to see how we’re always moving through things which may not make much sense but require wise choices on our part.

By understanding the 7th, 9th, and 11th harmonic aspects as all working to bring forth our spiritual Self, we can see the different “phase relationships” between the planets, both natally, progressed, transit to natal, and transit to transit as all contributing to our greater realizations By noting the septile series aspects we can understand when our choices are crucial; by noting the novile series aspects we can know when something is finally ready to come forth, as well as when it’s time to put something on the shelf or take it off the shelf; and by noting the septile 11th harmonic aspects, we can see when it’s time to make a leap of faith to overcome a duality, leading us to master all forms of that type of duality.

Lewis Carroll recites 'Alice' to Alice Liddel - Jupiter opp BML - A 'Kite' (water)
I decided to start over with an approach similar to the analysis I used in the 1970's as an astrologer, but with the improved software available now. I looked at harmonic charts 1 (the "normal" chart), the 5th, 7th, 8th, and 64th harmonic charts. The 8th and 64th harmonic charts are particularly important because they are "octave harmonics" or "hard aspects". Hard aspects are harmonics 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc. In the harmonic chart wheel are drawn the following aspects: opposition, square, trine, sextile, semisextile, quincunx, semisquare, sesquiquadrate, 1/16, 3/16, 5/16, and 7/16 aspects. A semisquare or sesquiquadrate aspect appears as a conjunction in the 8th harmonic chart, and similarly a semisquare or sesquiquadrate aspect in the 8th harmonic chart appears as a conjunction in the 64th harmonic chart. By looking at the hard aspects in the 1st, 8th, and 64th harmonic charts I can actually see all octave harmonic patterns up to the 1024th harmonic very quickly. I can also see the soft aspects (semisextile, sextile, and trine) as well as quincunx as well.

I also included the 7th harmonic because I associate the 7th harmonic with discipline, chronic situations or determination, sobriety, and deep inner probing, a liking for things that are humble and ponderous, sometimes almost mystical or ancient. From my experience teaching math to children and adults, the 7th harmonic pattern seemed very likely to be strong in the charts of mathematicians. I found some evidence of this in the chart of physicists but not as strong as I had hoped, and other harmonics, like the 17th and 19th were often stronger.

The 5th harmonic is the harmonic of culture, play, dislike of tedium, creativity, and freedom. While the 7th harmonic loves discipline and knows that practice makes perfect, the 5th harmonic excels in creativity and play. The 7th harmonic likes to work and the 5th harmonic likes to play. The 7th harmonic is ponderous and deep, while the 5th harmonic is light and exuberant. I doubted that the 5th harmonic would be strong in the charts of mathematicians but the creative freedom of the 5th harmonic gives it an intelligence which more mundance and steady types typically lack, so it would not be impossible for the 5th harmonic to be important as well.

The first 12 harmonics can be seen in the harmonic charts I constructed as follows:
1st (conjunction): conjuntion in 1st harmonic chart
2nd (opposition): opposition in 1st harmonic chart
3rd (trine): trine in 1st harmonic chart
4th (square): square in 1st harmonic chart
5th (quinitle): conjunction in 5th harmonic chart
6th (sextile): sextile in 1st harmonic chart
7th (septile, biseptile, triseptile): conjunction in 7th harmonic chart
8th (semisquare, sesquiquadrate): semisquare and sesquiquadrate in 1st harmonic chart AND conjunction in 8th harmonic chart
9th: (novile, binovile, quadnovile): cannot be seen, except in aspect grid (not visible in aspect lines)
10th (decile and tridecile): opposition in 5th harmonic chart
11th (1/11, 2/22, 3/11, 4/11, 5/11): not visible
12th (semisextile, quincunx): semisextile and quincunx in 1st harmonic chart.

Many other harmonics can also be seen. For example, the octaves of the 7th (7th, 14th, 28th, 56th etc) appear as conjunction, oppositions, squares, semisquares and sesquiquadrates, etc.) respectively in the 7th harmonic.

I changed the color of Mercury to red in the chart wheel, and left the other planets black, so that I could quickly see Mercury in each chart as I browset through them. My theory was that I would see many aspect lines to Mercury from Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto. This was what I had found in the study of physicists but there were too many exceptions to the rule to be really impressive. As I browsed through the charts of the mathematicians I was amazed and delighted to see that in almost every 7th and 8th harmonic chart the aspects appeared. Now, at last, the expected patterns appeared conspicuously in almost every chart of mathematicians! However, having spent hundreds of hours of research this year, and countless hours researching before this, I have learned not to jump to conclusions. There are a seemingly endless number of perils in the quest to validate astrological theory!

The importance of the 7th and 8th harmonic charts was exactly what I expected. In my work with clients in the 1970's I did not expect a great deal of information from the normal astrology chart! I know that this sounds strange, but every astrologer has his/her own unique way to analyze charts, and I rely on a number of harmonic charts and midpoint patterns to analyze the chart. The 8th harmonic chart, in many ways, is more fundamental than the 1st harmonic chart because it reveals the inner dynamic patterns within the person. Each harmonic chart fills in the coloring of the chart; the basic personality is built on a structure of the octave harmonics.

One additional note on harmonic charts: the orbs used are different from other forms of astrology. A 16 degree orb is used for conjunctions, 8 degrees for oppositions, 4 degrees for squares, 5 1/3 degrees for trines, etc. The orbs must be proportionate. If you change one orb, you must change them all. An orb greater than 2 degrees is not very strong because it is above the 8th harmonic level which is a threshold point for digging deep within the core of the person's personality and energy dynamics.

I then created an AstroSignature for mathematical ability. I gave 1 point to a conjunction, opposition, or square in the 7th or 8th harmonic charts for each of the following planetary patterns: Mercury-Saturn, Mercury-Uranus, and Mercury-Pluto. I dropped Mercury-Mars, which was in my original hypothesis, because it did not show up nearly as strongly as the 3 other planetary pairs. I also refined my original hypothesis to be specifically these 3 aspects (conjunction, opposition, and square) in these 2 harmonic charts only. Additional analysis showed that trines, sextiles, semisextiles, and quincunxes also occurred frequently in the charts of mathematicians in the 7th harmonic chart, so these were also added.

Hypothesis reformulated and restated from this exploratory study
An equivalent way of stating the hypothesis, and perhaps an even simpler way of stating the hypothesis is this: Mathematicians are more likely to have conjunctions within a 16 degree orb between Mercury and Saturn, Mercury and Uranus, and Mercury and Pluto, in the following 9 harmonic charts: 8, 16, 32, 7, 14, 21, 28, 42, and 84.

The beautify of this hypothesis, as compared to the hypotheses that I had earlier created for physicists and alcoholics, is that it is very consistent, as described in rule #11 above. I use all traditional aspects (the multiples of 30 degrees or 12th harmonic, or in other words conjunction, opposition, square, trine, sextile, seminsextile, and quincunx) in 2 harmonic charts between Mercury and the planets Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto. This is very consonant with astrological theory. I hypothesized that Mercury would aspect thse planets because this was my observation as an astrologer, in my rsearch with physicists, and the choice of these planetary pairs conforms reasonably with the expectations of most astrologers. The orbs used and harmonics used does not conform with what most astrologers expect but it does conform with my hypothesis.

RESULTS OF THE STUDY:
The results of the study were stunningly more consistent than any other research that I have done. In the table below if the percentage of charts that have each of the 3 planetary pairs conjunct in each of the 6 harmonic charts:

The individual totals for the planetary pairs were not calculated for the 21st, 42nd, and 84th harmonic. These harmonics were added later and by this time it was decided that all 3 planetary pairs would be used, so individual totals were not needed.

https://astrosoftware.com/Proveast.htm

AstroSignature Analysis:
An AstroSignature for mathematical ability was created in the Kepler program. A weight of 5 points was given for the 3 planetary pairs conjunct in the six 7-based harmonic and a weight of 1 point was given for the 3 planetary pairs in the three octave harmonics. Because the 7-based harmonics had stronger results, a stronger weight was given to them. The weight of 5 for 7-based harmonics and weight of 1 for octave harmonics are fairly arbitrary values selected to simply give much more emphasis to the 7-based harmonics.

After the AstroSignature is created, a Mathematical Aptitude score for any person can be produced. The Mathematical Aptitude score for mathematicians using this formula calculated for the 27 mathematicians was 16.37. The average score for the 167 alcohlics was 8.54. The ratio of these scores is 1.92. In other words, mathematicians scored nearly twice as high as alcoholics.

Astrological Conclusions:
The 7th harmonic chart has been used for many hundreds of years in Vedic astrology, and is known as the saptamsa chart. In Vedic astrology it is an indication of your area of training and which teacher or guru should guide you. The 7th harmonic has also been associated with spirituality. I have given my interpretation above, and based on this interpretation, hypothesized its relevance to mathematical ability. The hypothesis was confirmed.

The octave harmonics (8, 16, and 32) showed promise of having some significance, but not as strong as the 7-based harmonics. This finding was not expected, but the positive indications of the octave harmonics were consonant with the original hypothesis as well.

Indications for Future Research:
The hypothesis for this study was not articulated as clearly as it is now stated. If the results of this study can be confirmed with another group of mathematicians, this would constitute validation of astrology, and upon repeated duplication and peer review of the studies would constitute proof of astrology.

Current astrological literature consists of an almost endless number of possible variables, and a synthesis of some of the most important variables into a coherent formula that can provide a platform for further research is needed for astrological theory to make a transition from unverifiable hypotheses to supported theories. This pilot study initiates the process of this transition. The synthesis of relevant variables into a supportable theory is a daunting task, but this current pilot study shows great promise of providing this foundation for further astrological research.

Note that the experimental group used in the current study was a group of highly accomplished mathematicians. A study of less accomplished mathematicians or those who work primarily in pedagogical pursuits or applications of mathematical theory may not have the exceptional qualities of mental discipline and mental intensity that these noted mathematicians have, and therefore may not have the strong 7th harmonic patterns that was found in the current research study.

I hypothesize that astrological influences represent a complex web of energetic patterns. These energetic patterns develop in response to environmental stimulation and decisions made by the individual. Each person is endowed with a wide range of capabilities and from this palette of potentials creates a life pursuit. The astrological influences do not magically represent behaviors, but rather represent energetic patterns. We are now at the initial stages of unraveling these complex patterns, and over time the capabilities of astrology may prove as awesome as the advances of other sciences and arts. The interweaving of variables is complex, and the interaction of astrological, environmental, genetic, and possibly other influences involves a system of influences that cannot be fully appreciated by simple methods. Nevertheless, the domain of astrological theory is tractable and amenable to scentific research, and with care and persistence, a scientific pursuit of astrology can lead to successful advances, and this new body of supported theory is applicable to a wide range of human conditions, and can prove to be a benefit to humanity.

No doubt further research would refine and expand the number of harmonics and planetary pairs used. Inclusion of other astrological variables could further refine the formula, and finally a solid basis for further research would begin, and the initiation of astrology as a field amenable to scientific analysis can begin. Huge research group sizes of thousands of charts are not needed. However, all research is time consuming and without the support of academic institutions and publicly funded research projects, progress in astrological research, as with research in any other discipline, will be very slow. Hopefully, a paradigm for future research has been established in this study. Only future studies will clarify the extent to which this pilot study provides a robust and stable platform upon which to build a scientific study of astrology.

Quindecile is the 24 degree aspect, but the name has been wrongly given to the 165 degree aspect which makes no sense. 165 degree is the 11/24 aspect. Naming a 24th harmonic aspect the Quindecile makes no sense at all. The 24 degree aspect is the 1/15 harmonic aspect, and so naming it Quindecile makes a lot of sense. Quindecile is referring to 15th Harmonic and not 15 degrees just like the Novile is referring to 9th Harmonic and not 90 degrees. Quindecim is Latin for 15.

There has to be some logic in Astrology.

24 degree aspect was already named the Quindecile before Noel Tyl even wrote books.

Johannes Kepler is thought to have invented the minor 15th harmonic aspects just like he invented the 5th harmonic aspects which are the Quintile and BiQuintile.
The Trine and the 5th harmonic aspects are also 15th harmonic aspects if the orbs are small as 15th harmonic aspects.

Not all astrologers agree with Noel Tyl in labeling the 165 degree aspect. Some astrologers refer to it as Johndro. Some other astrologers refer to it as Contraquindecile.

Planetary positions in the 9th Harmonic chart have great importance in our birth charts, adding tremendous depth to the analysis of ourselves 1. A person’s 9th Harmonic chart tends to show us the inner nature of a person, while the 1st Harmonic chart tends to show us the outer nature of a person 1.

The 9th Harmonic chart is believed to be associated with wisdom and composure 2. It is also said that a strong 9th harmonic indicates idealistic, religious and at times paranormal capabilities 2. The number 9 is associated with strength, determination, and humanitarianism.

Lucy Letby, Killer Nurse, Gets Life
« on: August 22, 2023, 06:52:53 AM »
A former neonatal nurse who killed seven babies in her care and tried to kill six others at a hospital in northern England was sentenced Monday to life in prison with no chance of release by a judge who highlighted "the cruelty and calculation" of her actions.
Lucy Letby, who refused to appear in court to face grieving parents, was given the most severe sentence possible under British law, which does not allow the death penalty.

Harmonics 8 and 18 are strong in serial killer charts....here they are...
https://i.postimg.cc/cL2mjv2G/Lucy-Harmonic-Charts.jpg
Her H8 has T-Square, Lucy = Mars/Pluto = Saturn..."brutality, cruelty"
Her H18 has T-square, Mars/Neptune = Pluto..."desire to harm others"
Sepharial on her natal Neptune in 12Capricorn...."subtle & crafty,
leading a predatory life...there will be incidents which cannot bear the
light of day...the nature is cruel, crafty...will be in danger of imprisonment."
Her natal Sun-Saturn gave her low self-esteem. Her natal Sun square
Moon & opposed Chiron, thwarted her ability to care, nurture & heal babies.
There is a strong Cardinal element in these charts which gives initiative, ambition, restlessness and a low boredom threshold but that’s nothing pass remarkable.

This is where harmonic charts come in handy which show the less visible aspects between planets. The one which shows up most clearly in all of the above is the 18H – twice 9. The 9th harmonic is what brings pleasure. Initially it was thought to be a harmonic that was community-minded, fostered inclusiveness and was humanitarian. But it figures strongly in charts of financial fraudsters like Bernie Madoff and Charles Ponzi, so clearly has an immoral, indulgent and irresponsible side as well.

18 in numerology, on which a good deal of the harmonic interpretations are based, can bring material success, but also conflicts and enemies, and has an explosive quality.

In Beverley Allitt’s natal chart her Mars is sparsely aspected. But in her 18H, the Mars squares Saturn, and is trine Sun. Niels Hogel’s 18H has Mars opposition Sun square Pluto, so drawing his sparsely aspected Mars in the natal chart into tighter contact.

Michael Swango, whose natal Mars is firmly tied into Uranus Jupiter Neptune Sun, in his 18H has Mars conjunct Saturn trine Pluto, which has a much more brutal feel.

Kristen Gilbert, a nurse who killed 4 and attempted two more, 13 Nov 1967 5.01pm Falls River, MA, doesn’t have an overly notable Mars natally, but in her 18H it is conjunct Saturn, inconjunct Uranus and square Sun.

Mars Saturn sometimes tied into Pluto appears in the 18H charts of non-medical serial killers Ted Bundy, Thomas Hamilton (Dunblane shootings), Jeffrey Dahmer.

The 18H isn’t necessarily a serial killer identifier since it is strong also in the charts of Jemma Beale, the rape fantasist (see post below) and Joe Arpaio. But it certainly can indicate a cruel, conscience-free streak.

Many of the above medical killers also have a heavily stressed Mars tied into Saturn, Uranus and Pluto in their healer/victim 12H.
HARMONICS

The five prime number harmonics between 17 and 32 were identified as being the “re-configuration harmonics”. Just as we can draw many different patterns out of a large number of points placed on a piece of paper, these harmonics
are inclined to restructure or re-configure situations. These harmonics share an inclination to have an interest in rescripting and re-organizing the elements or components of a situation into a new story line or configuration.
• The 17th harmonic inclines to experience different life scripts and thus is inclined to theatre and literature.
• The 19th harmonic is similar but somewhat more cerebral and more inclined to literature.
• The 23rd harmonic likes to try out unusual or novel configurations.
• The 29th harmonic seeks out an understanding of alternative paradigms and often inclines towards a constructive
and positive view of believing that there are options that can improve a situation.
• The 31st harmonic inclines towards a kind of longing for a more comprehensive and unifying paradigm and a keen awareness of the limitations, weaknesses, and alluring but inadequate simplicity of systems that others are content with. All of the above harmonics are somewhat impersonal in the sense that they have little to do with personal and immediate needs but rather are concerned with stories of our lives and how these stories can be re-configured or lived out
in various ways.

5TH and 9th

RESEARCH RESULTS
The assumed meanings of the first 16 harmonics were generally confirmed, with two new insights that make the interpretation of two of the harmonics more specific:
(1) the fifth harmonic was not found to be consistently inclined to creative expression but was consistently found
to be consistently associated with a fascination and a playful enjoyment of curved, non-linear, or lively forms and
expressions.
(2) The ninth harmonic was not consistently healing, supportive, and nurturing, but was found to be consistently
associated with a need to feel included in a larger group, family, social group, or system. Tentative meanings of harmonics 17 and 19 were confirmed.

*translators note: see picture: " https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/9b/RWS_Tarot_07_Chariot.jpg

Walter's planet-aspect associations for the first twelve harmonics and aspects are worth reflecting over repeatedly, since they are of complex mathematical connection and mathematical connection represents - this is pure astrology - psychological connection.

Credit is given to Bernhard Rindgen the original author in german, Hans-Jörg Walter the original resarcher and /u/vheart for encouraging me to do this :) and green icetea because it's awesome :D
