The Chandra Symbol for this degree is “The burning of a bough of sage.”

The forces of fire release the healing forces of the earth into the air. The sage smoke purifies the aura and the atmosphere. The morning glories of the Omega Symbol signify waking up, soul enlivenment, and their white color signifies a clearing that makes way for a new beginning.

At worst this degree signifies being caught in stagnating relationships that do not further one or enrich one's life, because they are stuck in old patterns. The Omega Symbol is not “White morning glories,” but “A man gathering SEEDS from a white morning glory.” The man is preparing for the future growth of the morning glories, just as whoever is burning the bough of sage in the Chandra Symbol is preparing the space receiving the sage smoke for whatever is going to happen next. And so if you want change in your relationships, you must prepare for that change, clear away the old energies which are no longer necessary, so that a space is then made for renewal and a new cycle of growth.
