SUNDAY: Moon regains focus at 2:50 AM ET, when it enters Pisces. After all this Mars, Mars action, the Pisces Moon seeks empathy, ideals, and other intangibles. Instead, it receives a shock of recognition, perhaps, as Moon squares Uranus at 4:52 AM ET. Whatever the upset, it's deep and executed with an easy flow of action in the extreme, reflecting the trine between Mars and Pluto at 8:29 AM ET. Patterns this evening support abundance and caring, as Moon trines Venus and Jupiter at 1:11 AM ET and 2:54 AM ET. And then...
MONDAY: CHILL for the next 28 hours! Moon will be void....AND...Mercury turns retrograde at 3:29 AM ET. That means using extra care and FOCUS in all matters of travel, information, and communication.
There are two other notable patterns happening late Monday-Tuesday -- stay tuned for why they are notable in the next forecast. But if you have planets around 14 degrees of just about any sign, consider buying a couple of lottery tickets. Ya never know.
Meanwhile, it's Mars, Mars, Mars -- in our face at the very end of Virgo/early Libra. Mars is at the root of a pattern that looks like a kite -- and that is what it is called -- see below.
Mars, Pluto, and Uranus are in an Air Grand Trine, suggesting innovative and empowered actions that are sweeping in scope -- and not the least bit interested in considering intellectual input from others. This is a "law unto itself" pattern.
Saturn-Neptune in Aries are at the top of the kite, and they are in a Minor Grand Trine pattern with Uranus and Pluto. As noted in prior forecasts, we see potential for a collapse of systems that are corrupt (and thus deserve to collapse), for no reason other than "because I said so." We add this energy flow to the potential of the opposition between Mars and Saturn-Neptune.
Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter are not in this chart, FYI.
And now, the news.
Energy Secretary "Chris Wright touts Energy Department's Misleading Claims" on climate change and its connection to turbulence -- paywalled, but the visible paragraphs tell you enough. Meanwhile, "Scientists decry [Wright's] efforts to update climate reports. 'That's what Stalin did'" -- and this is where we are, as anticipated.
"Netanyahu says Israel's goal is not to take over Gaza, but to free it from Hamas” Oh? Mars in Libra is a "warrior for peace" -- but with Neptune involved, things may not be as they seem. I can't believe I've been writing about Netanyahu for over 10 years, but here he is now -- with disruptive, reckless potential in his horoscope -- at least through April 2026. Similar patterns are in Israel's horoscope. After April, transiting Pluto will oppose Israel's regal Leo Moon, ruler of its Midheaven (public status). We may expect extremes of regal drama with respect to its reputation through January 2027 -- and that's as far ahead as I want to look.
August 8 was convicted felon Trump's deadline for a ceasefire thingy in Ukraine. That didn't happen, so instead he’s planning to meet wanted-for-war-crimes Putin in...Alaska...on August 15th. Heather Cox Richardson explains it all here -- truly, this is essential reading, filled with facts you may have forgotten or never known. Meanwhile, the CF will have transiting Mars on Neptune on that day, suggesting actions based on faith or deception — or a possibly a bad cold.
"RFK Jr. cancels $500 million in funding for mRNA vaccine development" -- this extreme initiative coincides with transiting Jupiter on his 13 Cancer Moon and transiting Pluto exactly opposed his 2 Leo Ascendant for the second of three passes (the third happens in December). His is another horoscope to watch around September 6th, as Mars opposes his 19 Libra MC.
"Sorry, billionaires. There's no escape." This "weird" WSJ op-Ed by David Mamet "defies summary," according to Jeff Jarvis -- who shared it on Bluesky. Obviously Jarvis isn't hip to astrology. Summary: the op-Ed is a delightful reflection of Mars (action, anger, attack) trine Uranus (aviation, rebels), opposing Saturn (blocks) and Neptune (weird, escapes) in me-first Aries, trine Powers That Be Pluto, published on a status-seeking, much ado about nothing Moon void in Capricorn. It also inspires hope.
Spain is scrapping a plan to buy US-made F-35 fighter jets and will invest its billions in European companies instead. Mars (military) opposed by Saturn (loss).
